harde2lah: I won't be able to vote because of my location. But be rest assured that I have five friends (Yoruba) who has thier voters card and are ready to vote the General. I don't know if they're on Nairaland but just add 5 likes to the number of likes up there. Since I won't be able to vote, I have done my part by donating a certain percentage of my salary to the Buhari's campaign and I have helped convinced my gullible brothers who have been deceived by the PDP propaganda that "APC wants to Islamize Nigeria". They have been emancipated from this mental slavery and are now enlightened and know better. They've realized that PDP is a cancer that must be destroyed at the State and Federal level. SW for Buhari/OSinbajo. SW for CHANGE.
olapluto: Update: The first lady interviewed by RPG is Omoh Williams. She lives with her parents in Manchester. She was coerced to join a free bus from Manchester down to London this morning. Her parents are very embarrassed by this video. Suffice to say here that her parents are not poor. They are a typical middle class family in the UK.
they should be embarrassed how does she not even know wheres shes from?
anonimi: Is the judiciary not different from the legislative powers
I'm no expert in Nigerias legal matters, but from my understanding of the million and one panels conducted in Nigeria they are not a part of the judiciary and have no power of law. They can only invite you they can't force you like a court can.
What was done by the panel should be tried in courts. Its one of the many problems we have with enforcement in Nigeria.
anonimi: Perhaps Buhari's attitude to the judiciary as reflected in his NON-ATTENDANCE at the Justice Oputa panel is indicative of his honest response to your question. You might, however, get something else from his AKPD Media packaging people
I don't believe the panel had any legislative powers.
Gbawe: I so understand you because we are in the same situation. To think then that those in Nigeria who are experiencing, first-hand, the suffering PDP is delivering are the same ones still planning to vote for GEJ is just mind-boggling.
It's probably most Nigerians living abroad - those of us that come from modest backgrounds. That have to dodge calls that start with 234 because we know it's only ever bad news they bring us. Even the good news is bad, some has had a baby (money to spend) someone is getting married (dress to buy) someone wants to throw a party (food to purchase) someone has graduated and can only expect to be job hunting for years on end, and they continue to vote for the same group of people, people that brazenly dedicate their resources to buying food private jets and bulletproof cars for themselves at ridiculous prices. Then brazenly send their children abroad to study, brazenly promote airlines that put lives at risk, brazenly steal and tell you stealing isn't corruption. kmt
I actually see him doing this before procuring equipment of better value intended to help the military with its battle against the insurgents. That's how little the confidence i have in GEJ is.
Gbawe: God bless you and a million likes for your post. I repeat again that no decent, legitimate and productive Nigerian in the UK will agitate for the continuation of the GEJ Government because doing so amounts to inhuman wickedness and heartlessness against our fellow Nigerians who wake up daily to face the sort of hardship, 24/7 and 365 days a year, we would all collapse facing for even a day only.
Imagine folks enjoying 24/7 power supply agitating for greater darkness for their relatives and loved ones back home? Does that make sense? Consider folks who enjoy good security speaking against a man, GMB, who brings hope that the daily killings of innocent Nigerians will end? Is it those who enjoy $41,000.00 per capita income and have a well-developed credit system that ensures most ordinary employed folks can afford what they need who will back the leadership of Nigeria where politicians earn 4 times the salary of Obama yet per capita income of the relatively small number of employed Nigerians (average income per annum) is $3,000.00 while most Nigerians live on around $2 dollars a day?
Is it folks who see David Cameron, UK Prime Minister, leading some of the wealthiest and most comfortable people in the world by example, via using commercial air flights, who will hanker for the retention of GEJ who has ten airplanes while majority of Nigerians, who are amongst the poorest people in the world, cannot even afford bicycles?
I could go on all day but the bottom line is that TANdroids should try sticking to telling believable lies. The lives most productive Nigerians live in the UK means that they would never back GEJ who only symbolizes corruption, insecurity, deaths , darkness and the mortgaging of Nigeria to a crooked Oligarchic class. These 'protesters' are nothing but a paid bunch of drifters. I live in the UK and mingle with many, many Nigerians daily. I would say Nigerians here are even more passionate about the removal of GEJ than anybody else because we are appalled at what Nigerians at home face and understand the privilege we enjoy because of good governance. We want the same for our fellow Nigerians at home. Decent Nigerians in the diaspora are backing change all the way in the form of GMB/Osinbajo.
Exactly, my family are the only reason I'm even so invested in Nigerian politics, at the rate they're going I know paying pensions will become a problem - education will get worse, the economy will get even worse and guess who will have to support them? What will my younger ones inherit? At least living abroad, I can reason objectively without thinking of one uncle or aunt politician in a party that I feel an obligation to support. Each time I visit Nigeria everyone has lost more weight, gotten darker and look less healthy, the elder ones are losing eyesight like dogs because the health system is poor at prognosis, people are dying of preventable diseases. I'm lugging tons of items that should be easily sourced back home even fruit! A pot of grapes cost £10 in Nigeria! One apple costs £1, when are we going to realize this is ridiculous!
Those I speak to believe that GEJ has performed poorly, this is because PDP have become comfortable - we remember when Yaradua died and they refused to relinquish power, we remember the subsidy scandal, we remember the kidnappings in naija delta, we remember the promises made and never delivered we know they should not be rewarded.
Until we send this message incumbents are never going to do right by the masses, it's become the battle of the youngest, the finest, the most fluently spoken, the better liar instead of the most competent.
Ijebulogic: What quality of Nigerian leaves his office in London to go and protest in the middle of the week? Awon alai ni nko shey jati jati.....Jobless crowd,
God will bless you 1000 times! Thank you!!
I will be there sef if not for work, the fact that there's no parking and the inevitable congestion charge not to mention cold weather and the short notice CH gave.
So these people have bundled themselves into a bus from peckham and are gathered outside protesting instead of being inside taking notes and asking questions like respectable individuals! Awon weray!
PDP actually have this kind of time not to mention resources? When people are being bombed and kidnapped the naira is at an all time low majority of the population are poor and jobless and we cant even produce enough fuel talkless of power for our own consumption! kmt,
Buhari should do like a G and address these fellas as follows
'eyin agbero, don't worry we will provide free quality carpentry courses for you to return to Nigeria and stop gallivanting the good streets of London disgracing us!'
Nice reply. As much as you listed things we do not import, lets not forget that a major factor of production is energy in form of (petrol, kerosine & diesel). I sang this song few weeks a go that the CBN is broke, so the naira would be devaluated again to save face and prices would sky rocket. Please give it just 2~3months before you start seeing the effects of true hardship.
Simple scenario: An oil marketer importing petroleum products obtained a credit facility of $2million when the official rate was #155/1$ a few months ago. Now the naira has been devalued twice to #199/1$. By this devaluation, (#199- #155) x $2000000= loss of #88,000,000 to start with. Who pays for this difference, its the common man on the street.
As we all know, we are an import dependent nation. Apply this simple scenario to all imports and major industries like Cadbury, Nbc, Nestle, etc who import some of their raw materials.
My fear is a lot of Nigerians dont have a complete understanding of what is going on. The currency has been devalued but salaries still remain the same with pending inflation in a few days. Market Prices have not changed yet because a lot of retailers are still selling old stock. If things continue like this, then we are done for.
#thatisall.
Sanusi and Soludo were accused of fear mongering, in the end this was predicted. CBN continues to run more like a bank and less like an Economy regulator.
kaboninc: I got these from the Manifesto of the APC but I do not want to digress. There's what is called ELECTORAL PROMISE COSTING. You cost the promises you intend to fulfill and marshal out how you intend to fulfill it. Including the revenue to be generated. What your manifesto has just done is to tell us WHAT you'll do and NOT HOW you will do it.
At the bold, that's COSTING and it is NOT feasible! So, YES you've be SCAMMED and need to be SENSIBLE!
Is English your problem or comprehension? How exactly are the two quotes the same??
Electoral promise costing indeed, do I look like one of the plebs you can talk rubbish to on this site? Don't come here trying to educate me on matters you clearly have no understanding of.
A manifesto is a public declaration, it is unwise for any party to release details of their strategy too early before the election, as the opposition will use it. Use your common sense.
In the quote you pasted (assuming you have even sourced this from the actual manifesto and not PDPs inaccurate reenactment of truths) they have detailed doing this by creating a mortgage system - do I need to explain what that is to you too?
Costing and not feasible indeed, please move to one side and allow grown ups to talk. I have pasted the manifesto where APC have detailed their intentions you can either intelligently debate on how they won't work or be quiet.
erico2k2: let me say something to be used as food for thought,if I have an LPO to supply wood to a local factory in say New castle(England) and I have the option of say Brazil and Nigeria, since my pounds/Dollar now has great Value in Nigeria, where do you think I will go? just food for thought.
You absolutely won't choose Nigeria because the country is unstable, unfriendly politically controlled business environment cultural corruption unskilled labor force etc.
You will choose Brasil which probably isn't perfect but you will be facing less challenges.
I can't actually believe this, looool the Nigerians understanding of Economics actually begins to explain alot.
CBN pegging the naira at a lower rate of exchange only benefits those coming to rape you of your resources then sell them back to you at the value you now have to pay more for because you've made your currency cost less.
SirShymexx: These folks are so primitive, it's not even funny anymore. You just have to feel sober and shake ya head in disgust, and question why millions of folks can be this mentally impaired in the 21st century, mate.
C'mon now, it's shameful. The went to disturbing Cambridge, to chasing Tony Blair everywhere, and they're still on Chatham House nuts. I swear they don't know how disgraceful this madness is. And I'm sure folks at Cambridge and Chatham House had a good laugh.
These folks are just a problematic bunch, with absolutely no clue whatsoever on what electioneering should be about - just primeval market-women politics. Someone needs to open a massive surgery for brain transplant in the country cos I think most of the folks out there need one.
I have never seen an electioneering as primitive, redundant, childish, non-issue based, illiterate, crass, and silly as this one. In as much as comic relief is legendary - and the whole madness crack me up all the time, Nigerians have to be one of the dumbest and brain-dead folks out there.
It's barely a month to the election, yet no one is discussing the key issues about what candidates from both parties will bring to table. No discussion about manifestos and election promises, and how the two candidates might differ in ideologies and voting projection. The whole drama has been about inconsequential certificate-gate; religious and tribal tripe; oh, he's in London - nah, he isn't, he's in MD, US on the sick bed - fvck it, it is Cavendish, UK; and now absence from some inconsequential rally.
Like seriously, is this a presidential election, or a bad SNL comedy sketch? - you lot are so primeval it's not even a joke. This is what happens when stark illiterates and thugs populate a geographical space. May God save Nigeria - the country still has a long way to go.
Thank God it's not just me, I actually thought I was the only one that noticed.
linuxuser: I am assuming that you are intelligent enough to read so here is the invitation to the event that was sent out by APC and their UK Agent

You are free to interprete that yourself and for other APC LIARS.
That was how Sanusi was screaming $ billions were missing only for him to start reducing the amount until he found a quick way for protection against his own fraudulent activities by becoming the Emir after the conveniently timed death of the old Emir.
We are too GULLIBLE a people, walahi
Alleged indeed, cash was received by NNPC and didn't reach CBN, what else do you call it?
praxisnetworks: Nope it seems you Nigerians are always in love with your oppressors....with money missing left right and centre...all you can type is this gibberish!
