PoliticsRe: Dozens Die In Nigeria Pipeline Explosion (end Of Year Inferno) by question(m): 6:11am On Dec 27, 2007
Jakumo:
Talk about starting off the new year with a bang.
It more or less equivalent to sucide bombing.

Such reoccuring man-made disasters are not unusual in our beloved oil-rich Nigeria.

It is not an abnormal news.

About a year ago, at least 260 people died in one pipeline explosion in Lagos.

InvestmentRe: Gt Bank: Gdr Listing On The London Stock Exchange by question(m): 5:23pm On Dec 21, 2007
i have received the excess portion of the money that i paid, so if you have not received yours, you might want to open a dom account and ask them to purchase for you. if you don't have a dom account, just open one with GTB. i think if you open a savings or current account with them coupled with your interest in GDR, they might waive the 6months incubation period for you
Please how did you receive the excess portion of money, was it through your broker? Or was it paid into your account by GTB. Please carify?

My stockbroker says he does not know about the change in initial price and returned funds.

Hey guys, What do you think about the last GTB GDR?
I just got the cert.
Which is better:
1. Hold the certificate for long term

2. Sell the GDR on the London Stock Exchange

3. Request that the GDR be converted to ordinary shares of GTB. The conversion ratio is 50 shares for 1 GDR.

Dis Guy:
why are the bankers avoiding this thread? https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-59709.0.html

any marketer in here? have you ever met your target, do you know anyone that has and are the stories about female marketers true??
my brother, the stories are true. These girls done see something.
Some bad guys capitalise on it, promising the girl that he will open million dollar account in her bank, under one condition (sex).
It is left for the girls to "meet" her target or not.
Na wa o. It is happening everyday in Nigeria.
Car TalkRe: How Reliable Is Kia? by question(m): 6:58am On Dec 04, 2007
Different strokes for different folks.
Everybody sharing their own experience. Some say Kia is good, some say it is bad, some say na Toyota be the best, some na Honda. Just like a group of blind men analyzing the elephant by touching the different parts of its body.
All these cars pass a certain standards (under normal conditions) and are approved before they are pushed out into the market.
It now depends on the user/car owner to operate the car under normal or abnormal conditions. A car's perfomance seroiusly depends on the people using or maintaining it.

If you buy 'bad' car and use it with care it will last longer than if you buy a 'good' car and abuse it with passion.
@poster, the earlier you make up your mind, the better cos too much reviews and views will only confuse you the more.
GOODLUCK and use the car (whenever you buy it) with caution it will last longer.

I pity the female marketers that have to sleeping around to meet their targets.
I think bankers need to work smart and not work hard.

Land Test For Crude Oil Deposite

NAIRALANDERS, Please I really need serious advice here. my dad has this big piece of land in the village in Delta state. of late I have been having this strong feelings that there is oil deposite in the land and my instincts hardly fail me. I need to know how to go about seismic test on the land and what it will cost. what companies can I contact? looking forward to sound advices
Your instincts hardly fail you abi?

I guess your mind and instincts are filled with crazy fantasies.
The piece of land should be somewhere deep in the Atlantic Ocean. Thats the only unexplored region in Niger Delta.
You can sell the land to shell or Mobil before Nigeria government sells it before you.

Hello!

You have been invited to join VTN (Nigeria citizens only)

At VTN, you are not tied down to one bank. VTN is a revolutionary payment engine for buyers and sellers of services in Nigeria
The virtual account can be loaded at any branch of a designated Bank in Nigeria. Once funded, you can begin to pay for services nationwide. It's built for increased flexibility in accessing your money wherever you may be nationwide.

Account holders can pay for goods and services using their GSM Phone or online. The payment settles instantly!
When the time comes to withdraw some cash, you can do so using your GSM phone or online. Your bank account will be credited within 24hr, so it's important to specify your bank account when updating your VTN profile

Do you have family and friends living outside Nigeria that may want to send some gift money, your VTN account is linked to them already!, so they can send that gift directly to your VTN account, then you decide what to do with it (coming soon!)

In addition, with the VTN Payment Gateway, you can pay for goods and services safely and securely while you’re on the go, with instant settlement of transactions using your GSM Phone or on the web. The Banks in Nigeria are the custodian of all cash transactions on VTN
