I'm fed up already. This year is my 6-year post-graduation, no meaningful employment.
I wan go learn Yahoo. If I get some bucks from yahoo, I will start a business that would guarantee my sustainability till old age.
Meaning you have been getting jobs but the pay is commensurate with your Bsc. What can you do?

It's not easy out there but some ppl just want to sit and fold their hands expecting a well paying job.Go out lay ur hands on whatever you are capable of doing, love ur job, believe in urself that you will growfrom level to level and constituency counts also, but please let it be legit even if it's given you a penny, someday you will look back and say thank God I didn't do something illegal.speaking from experience

Yeah I can actually learn it online but then the phone I'm using right now does not have the capacity to do that .

I got a new phone December last year , just a week after , it was stolen from me , infact enh I wasn't myself through out that period, up till now I'm still paying for the phone cos I got it through easy by.
Let me share a story
A father had two boys, the father was a drunk wayward and reckless financially.
One of the son became like the father, the other son became a successful business man.
When the asked the wayward son why his wayward , his said, "can you see my father what do you expect"
They asked the other son, the same same response.
Moral of the story, Don't give excuses, find a way. Happy Weekend

Ten years after BSc, 4 years after MSc still counting.... No job, no money to start a business. Everything is frustrated. It seems the society is rigged against us like 2023 presidential election.

They told us from the beginning that education is the key to success, by the time we would finish the education, they have changed the padlock.

We got the key finish, it doesn't open the padlock

Only revolution and protest by the unemployed graduates in this country can save us.

Really, it's whatever works for you sir.
But people should not discourage those that want to japa. With correct information, they will do well there.
There are many good things one can achieve in this country too.
But if you're not sure, it all depends on the kind of life you want to live. Whether it's better for you to stay or japa.

Thank you very much! This too have proven my point that life is much better in the UK.

Can 300k salary in Nigeria give one a life as good? You have security, light n generator, fuel, police harassment problems, unreliable internet, etc, and your 2010 model car "check engine light" is probably on forever!
My elder brother was among the first people to start this "buy data for xyz amount" today his staying in his own house in Lekki, recently bought another house in Lekki, has over 35 staff working for him. Here's is his daily routine
Sleep and wake up at about 9:00am
Hit the gym by 9:30am
Come back by 3:00pm Hold meeting with staff if need be
Off to hang out with the boys and returns by 11:00pm
How do I know this? I have stayed with him and the ALL the staff knows me. Don't anybody deceive you.
I asked him, why not travel out? He responded, there's no place like Nigeria, his friends that left 6-7 yrs ago, he still send money from Nigeria

Sure your kids will have access to good quality education but your kids can wake up one day and tell you that they have decided to be gay or they want to go for sex realignment! grin

The worst nightmare of any Nigerian parent
My cousin dad is regretting taking his kids to UK. He said the best is allow them school here up till secondary and allow them go do university in UK or school till University in Nigeria then masters in UK

You dey shout. I recall a military outreach where some foreign armed forces came to Nigeria, these guys were so happy that most stated they would live to remain here as a civilians

Uk is overcrowded!

Think outside the box! Don’t follow the crowd!

Don’t use you qualifications to go wipe asses!

Australia is wide opened but few looking into it!

Canada welcoming immigrants with no jobs to offer! Don’t use your degree to become a Uber driver all because you want to be in Canada. Canada is good, but competition is high.
Read their migration laws

LoL. I saw crows2ravens post and I laugh too. Maybe he doesn't know most Nigerians here earn less than £2500. Before you pay your utilities, and housing billsw, this Money is gone. Not forgetting that you'll eat. Except the securities of life (bad things also happen here but they get solved unlike Nigerians which crime tarry for long),the quality of life I was actually living in Nigeria was far better than this UK. But I'm here already, shame no go catch us. Peace

I think the suffering is relative.
Usually it is with people that just get there, especially without money and have to scratch from the bottom. Over time their status improves. The good thing over all is that their kids get to go to proper quality schools. Even over time when the kids get naturalized, the sky is the limit. They have acess to student loans to enable them study what ever course.
Rent to me is the highest cost. I think food is quite cheap compared to their earnings. Another crazy cost too seems to be transportation and taxes. One drives within London and by the time you get home and open your computer, so many bills. Just for driving oh. Congestion charge, emissions charges etc, God helps you if you beat traffic light.
I think the ultimate is if one can find a business to setup. One of two of my paddies have such. They are living the good life. Wakeup anytime, go to the office at their convenience etc. But they have paid their dues. Over 24 years in the UK.
This is the way to go even in Nigeria after working for 5yrs minimum, start a business.

Yes..I used kkonnect (fiberone) in 2018 when I was in Nigeria. They are truly unlimited with their unlimited plan for 25k or so. Installation came to about 50k.
The problem like I said earlier is the coverage. Kkonnect did not fully cover Lagos alone as at that time (I don't know about now) not to talk of the whole of Nigeria. A major challenge is this power issue. If they decide to use diesel or even solar in all their sub stations..they might never break even with the current pricing they are on. Once power is settled. Companies would find it easier to expand. This is just the truth.
They have a very good service I was surprised I went for a vacation in the east and they have presence there. Excellent customer service delivery.

kuse2:
Hmnn.. I currently cater for a total of 8 people - 4 adults and 4 children and to be honest, we don't spend upto 300k monthly as living expenses.

Our strategy is to buy things in bulk rather than piecemeal.. For instance we bought groceries of almost 200K in January which is expected to last a few months.

We also buy meats in bulk.. Like 2 laps of cow.. Cartons of fish and all.. Basically, anything that can be bought in bulk, we buy.

What pushes most families into financial mess is mostly education for kids.. We simply put our kids in good schools that we can comfortably afford.

Lastly, myself and wife drive corolla which helps to reduce fuel cost.

So, be grateful for that 300k job.. Several families I know live with less than 100k monthly.

✌️
