Please you need to go back to where you bought your battery 2 months as that's is purely a rip-off, at least if you bought it new.

A good battery should last more than 2years, Korea brand (I have Falcon battery, Korea).

TRANE batteries last as much as 5years.
why did I think the batteries were inside my hall for a second!? LWNKM!!!

EgunMogaji2:
Sludge is caused when engine oil is left for too long in a vehicle and when the engine oil is allowed to operate in too hot of a condition.

It's not desirable but my automotive experience leads me to believe that it can be left alone successfully.

When I took my vehicle in for an unrelated work they decided to scrape off the sludge. Some of the sludge dislodged and left behind then blocked the oil passages in my engine and caused the engine to knock.

So my advice is to tell your local mechanic to leave your sludge alone and if they decide to want to scrape to off they should partly disassemble the oil system to make sure that any traces of dislodge sludge is removed.

Some swear on imported oil but I try to stick to local oil but change my oil and filter religiously at 3 months or 3,000 miles.
Or just bring it to me for full de-sludge in my beloved cabinet grin

Nope, still going to use local oil but on an extreme duty cycle. I stopped being a slave to a vehicle decades ago.

Sludge was already present on the previous engine when I bought the truck.

The annoying thing about this comment is that you know better than this.

The Supra is just 0.03 seconds slower than the M2 in the 1/4, while being 0.25 seconds slower in the 1/2.

The M2 has 405 HP, the Supra has 335 HP. I dare anyone on this thread to bring a Benz with less than 450 HP that wouldn't get absolutely dominated by the 335 HP supra in all track/drag categories.

C & D have benchmarked the Supra at 3.8s to 60mph, with just 335 HP.
The AMG C63 coupe also does 0-60 in 3.8s, but requires 469 HP to do it.

You know better, Aunty Radu. Mocking the Supra for being the slowest in a race with cars having over 750 HP--twice its power--is just silly, and you know it.

Car Talk › Re: Was I Scammed Or Is The Dealer Right? by radautoworks:
WuTangClan:
I will refrain from mentioning any names, I just want perspectives on this matter.

Sometime towards the end of 2019, I contacted a known dealer here in Nairaland when I wanted to get a car to replace the car I was using at the time.

I admit I did not take necessary precautions such as a concrete agreement, mainly because I felt the dealer was honorable and would not try anything shady.

....

and the person he paid did not fulfil the service, should the client forfeit the money?

Have I been a victim of a scam, or is the dealer right?
Ethically the dealer is wrong but legally he is within his rights.

He did some work in sending pictures. We don't know if they were cars he already had or not and how much work if any, he did. Without specifying terms, legally all he had to to was send you a single vehicle remotely close to what you asked for.

Ethically however, he should not keep all the money especially if he still had a hand in the repair.

Chalk it up to lesson learned, enjoy your car and simply steer clear of loosely defined contracts in the future no matter who refers you.

At our shop, it's even the ones closest to me that I make sure to have signed contracts with to avoid ruining relationships.

Which is the bigger gamble, a new valve body or a tokunbo transmission (bearing in mind you don't know the source or if it's worse off than yours)? I recommend you search and import valve body yourself. May be cheaper.
