Hi Fam,

What is the required transmission oil for a 2008 328i? Scanned and got an error that the oil is deteriorated but car shifts and drives well. Mileage is just 100,242. What brand should I use? Is it recommended to change gear oil too?

Rebuild transmission would be cheaper, check if Radautoworks can do the job, but you still need a high-end scanner to pin point faulty component in transmission.

Hello guys, please what is the recommended oil for what is the recommended engine oil for Honda Accord 2009 v6 3.5L? I mean the best I can get? i just bought the car and CEL just started displaying few days ago. a technician has checked and told me the oil is a bit too thin and has advised me to change the oil.

Around 24th December the oil was changed but I suspect that oil is not up to the recommended quality. Car drives smooth and no other issues

Hi guys,

3 weeks ago I recently purchased a Toks 2008 Lexus ES 350 from Lagos.
Upon arrival I noticed a slightly harsh 1-2 shift ( which was quite unusual for a U660E transmission, as I have driven many) amongst other minor nuances.

But my current worry now is that on a typical cold start, I noticed a quite serious 2-3 shift flare and 4-5 shift flare( which is even worse than the 2-3 flare), accompanied by the occasional 1-2 harsh shift. But after like 7 minutes of driving, the shift flare is gone( but the 1-2 harsh shift is still there).
Also noticeable is a harsh engagement into reverse from Neutral or park. Shifting from Drive to reverse and vice versa is quite smooth

So far I have not done anything to the transmission ( nothing has been touched)

No transmission code is present.

Pls help advise me on what to do because it is becoming a source of worry that the transmission may pack up soon

You said earlier that you had access to studies on the evolution of Benz models and probably production templates from Harvard......this clearly makes you an authority.
My position is for enlightenment solely.
Since the comparison is between the C,E and S.
I agree that the C is little one; in Size only.
I don't agree that the C-class is made with cheaper materials if this is true, it can no longer have the title of a luxury sedan just like any other Benz model.

You didn't say why the C-class is not a "true" benz.
Apart from size what are the other features that you will find in a "true" Benz like the E-klass that is not available or missing in the C-klass?
Don't forget that even in size the C-class is not the little one of the family.
To the best of my knowledge the C-klass of the same year shares the same engine and transmission with the E-klass and other models;
Features like ABS,ESP, climate control,remote entry, navigation e.t.c is standard[b][/b].
Using the C-klass taxi doesn't make it less a luxury car; cos Lamborghini Murcielago is used as taxi in Las Vegas while Maybach 57 is used as taxi in Moscow.

Mercedes Benz have a big family for people to choose from based on individual taste; just like any other brand.
Can u state Ur reasons why u think C-klass is not a Benz?
For all I know the C- class is even higher than some Mercedes models.
You see more of the C-klass on the road cos many people love the compactness and sportiness that comes with the C.
