Whitelexi abeg o. . . it's too early to laugh so hard  grin How u deh sef? Long time  cool

This is not an issue of "love you for what or who you are". The girl said she wasn't this fat when they met  grin She's being honest about the steady increase in FAT accumulation  grin Dude, won't take that from her. Dude is being honest and actually loves her enough to tell her. Some would just get rid of her and still leave her fat and ugly  grin grin

Stop looking for an excuse to be fat.  grin Please loose the fat. It doesn't look good let alone sexy . . grin grin

there are exceptions but in general that guy should be the one making the trip this first time. then you can go there the next time
Exactly. And she's now telling us that the guy has offered to pay back. Why not let him come instead since he has the money? She prolly doesn't get the gist that it's not about who pays or who gets paid. The guy is a joke.

Poster I hope u listen to the guys here just in case you think the women are jealous  grin

RomanceRe: He's Asking Me To Pay For My Trip by Radiant(f): 1:41am On Oct 27, 2009
LOL. . . someone who has been living in 1 room for God knows how long suddenly hit some cash and decided to move out into a better place. Who no like better thing? He didn't do that because of the girl. That's just his excuse. He would have simply spent time with her in a hotel or in his one room. He should have stayed in his one room if he can't afford a flat and life afterwards. It's as simple as that.

That's just so cheap of the guy. Trying to sell his 'sacrifice' and not actually being a real man. They've been talking for just a month. Would you go if it were you?

Guys do anything possible to get a girl they really want. This one is just over there relaxed and waiting for free pu'sy! She had better put her foot down from the start.

The things we do and take for love  wink

I understand you girl. For all I know, you'll continue to call and beg until he speaks up grin That is love and yea we do 'stupid' things when we're in love. Cry if you have to. Crying is therapeutic.
If he comes back fine otherwise you'll probably jump into the 'no-nonsense, I'm better than that' train  grin We've all been there and that's why it's easy for some to tell you to "forget" him and so on. For them they've passed that stage of loving and begging  grin

Just take it easy and if you love him just give him time to calm down. You shouldn't determine how long he should stay 'mad'. People are different.  smiley
RomanceRe: He's Asking Me To Pay For My Trip by Radiant(f): 12:17am On Oct 27, 2009
Even if he pays for your ticket you should not go  grin Guys have a way  of controlling women with their money. You might end up going there, getting screwed real good and once you leave you've left for good.  grin

FamilyRe: Akata In Pain/ by Radiant(f): 12:54pm On Oct 26, 2009
Why don't you stop having sex with him? tell him you want an 'emotional and intimate break' if that makes sense. I think you're still having sex just to keep him closer to you and not give him an excuse to be "curious". If you don't feel like it then don't do it.

Allow yourself to be angry and don't just swallow the pain and act like it's all good. I know it's good to forgive immediately and be happy again but trust me that's crap. If you're angry then be angry and don't suppress your emotions. If you're still disturbed about the incident then keep telling the man. Share your pain with him and he better not be "tired" of it.

Don't act happy just to please him. You're killing yourself if you're doing that.

Personally, when I'm angry I'm angry. My man has to deal with it. And any reasonable man knows that that's not a ticket to cheating again or walking out. Maturity requires that you deal with the issue together.

I know it hurts like hell but what can one do? Just try to be strong. Pray for God's peace and comfort. Believe me you'll be strengthened again and you'll gradually get over the pain but ermm. .u won't forget it o. Let's be sincere.  Sorry about your pain though. Take care

Aisha, likes to announce that she helps POOR children by writing 500 naira checks.  I think that you should start walking around with a sign on your forehead.    Do these children have flies swarming around their forehead ? Do they have big heads and stomachs ?
How many people have you seen doing this kind of job in Aisha is doing in Nigeria? I'm sure none. Stop being ridiculous.
FamilyRe: Wombs For Rent In Nigeria - Is This Greed Or Madness? by Radiant(f): 9:35am On Oct 26, 2009
LOL. . . topic has gone to the moon  grin

Anyway, fact remains that people are suffering in NIGERIA and need to survive. We like it or not that is a fact. That is not a ticket to child trafficking but some people have ventured in that. It's not right and morally unacceptable but umm we can't deny the fact that people can and will do anything for money to survive.
We're condemning these women forgetting the men that will use dem kids for rituals  and sexual abuse (I'm yet to believe this rituals of a thing). The men too do it for money huh?

Government should provide jobs for people, make the country a bit more comfortable if it is at all and yes crack down on child traffickers. Why are we all abroad or want to move abroad? Oh yea lemme not change the topic  tongue

Mad_Max:
Why indeed? I get you now. You married a Nigerian? What were you thinking?! I'm kidding. Our men are irresistible, yeh. cool
Why didn't you marry one of 'em?  wink

Good job and keep it up.
I didn't go to an orphanage or motherless babies home to adopt. I just took the person in. No legal back up and all that.

The only solution for all these mess is for government to create more employment opportunities for its citizens. Am 100% sure a lady who can earn a salary of #200k% per Annam will never consider such option. These girls do this out of desperation anybody can still think otherwise.
Precisely! Nothing is free in Nigeria. Not education, not health care. No welfare system. Even to get a job you still bribe. How bad can it be really?

Government should create jobs and let's see if anyone will still rely on some horrible means like this to make money. Only then can we call them "greedy".

All of this faceless innocents hiding behind their computers, believe that a child can be terminated in the womb if not wanted or if it come at the wrong time, but judge those who chose to give them in exchange for money.
What a hypocrites are we Nigerians? This hypocritical attitude is what is taking us behind. We hide under religion to commit the biggest atrocities in the secrets, those that made theirs public are being condemned and stoned to death. We like to complain abt the dust in others eyes while hiding the plank in our own eyes
Let us all stop whining over this. Immorality is immorality no matter how small, sin is sin and crime is crime irrespective of how big or small it is. So dont judge others coz you are not better than them.
What are you saying ? Just give birth and hope that the 'rich and childless' man will take care of him? Whatever happens after birth doesn't really matter. At least yea God understands you can't take care of the child.

These actions are premeditated, Mister Apostle! It's not like them women just got raped and found themselves  pregnant. Which angle are you coming from please?

Damn right immorality is immorality but yea some situations just make you don't give a hoot anymore. It's sad but that's the reality. How many of us can boast that we haven't done "immoral" things to survive at some point? Why did you do that? And by the way some people are still doing the shit they be doing because nobody can see them!

And some are comparing Nigeria to the Western world. . lol

This is beyond an immoral act. It is a crime! The Government should step in and stop lazing around the matter of who gets a passport or not.

And by the way, I'm not justifying the situation I'm just stating the obvious reason behind it. They're two different things please. I wonder how you guys solve your own problems. From the root or from the surface?

FamilyRe: Wombs For Rent In Nigeria - Is This Greed Or Madness? by Radiant(f): 5:22am On Oct 19, 2009
I laugh. . .

One thing I'm sure of is that a woman will not carry her child and throw him away after birth just because she's greedy. Greedy for 130k? Doesn't that sound like a joke? To me it does. There's a reason why she has decided to 'cross her mind' and do whatever to survive and support her family as the case may be.

These women are "mad". Yes, poverty will make you do "mad" things. You just sit there and talk.

By the way I hope we all know that it's not only in Nigeria people sell their babies? I've read a case of a woman who sold her baby for $100. Now, that is greed? Severe poverty!

You cannot tell me that these women enjoy what they do. Which woman will really want to put herself through all this mess just coz she's greedy? Come on now! Seriously, what are you people saying here?

I am not justifying this situation please. This is actually baby trafficking and it is a crime. We don't want to talk about the legal consequences because the legal system in Nigeria is as good as dead. You can simply get away with any crime.

Easy to call names yet so hard to do any good. Abeg forget matter!
FamilyRe: Is It Normal?: Wanting Out Of The Relationship by Radiant(f): 11:23pm On Oct 18, 2009
I think he just doesn't want to loose you. In any case don't be a victim of pressure. Being engaged doesn't mean you'll marry in the next one month or two years.

If he can't wait for you and you can't marry him now then you guys have to make a next move. You guys should do what's comfortable for you.
FamilyRe: Wombs For Rent In Nigeria - Is This Greed Or Madness? by Radiant(f): 11:12pm On Oct 18, 2009
It's very easy for us to sit in our heated houses with Chicken wings and Jaffa cake on the side and call these women "greedy", "stupid", "mad" etc. You know, you just sit there and the phone rings and wow it's Daddy calling to tell you he's coming for a business meeting in London and he wants to know if you need anything from Nigeria. You're excited Daddy is coming to see you and "anyway I'll see Mom in December since I'm going home". What a lovely life, isn't it?

Some people are fortunate enough not to experience poverty and just know the word as every other English word. Many people don't understand the frustrations and desperation that comes along with being wretchedly poor. I mean poor to the point that you can't see beyond the minute you live in. There are people like that all over the world.

You remember the women in the Bible that ate one of them child? Yea, that wasn't due to greed for meat or food it was the only thing left for them to eat. Or at least what they could afford. Eat their child.

People are in the forests in Brazil eating wild berries just to survive. That's the only thing they can eat to survive. How about that?

Listen people, desperate situations call for desperate actions. People will do anything to survive. You can afford to say never until it hits you then you wonder why the world is against you.

I am very sure that whoever invented this measure did not do it out of greed. No comfortable woman will do such!!! Everyone must not sell Akara over the gutter to survive. Everyone adapts to whatever measure. The issue is not selling babies. The issue is WHY are they doing that? Many people find themselves in horrible circumstances and they must find a way to get out of it. If it's prostitution, sleeping with rich men and women, drugs, stealing, u know it all. On a good day you'd say things like "over my dead body".

People do crazy things when they're facing 'famine' in their lives. You can never believe what you will do until you're there. It's easy to "whatever" the situation because we don't really understand the depth of poverty.

Nobody is even asking about the future. These children may be the ones our children will fall in love with tomorrow and want to marry them. Now, don't say God forbid because that's the truth. Then when you find out their history whatchu gon' do? Be forced to understand where he's coming from and take him in bitterly, push him away or embrace him lovingly?

While it has become the norm like some of you are saying please let's not ignore the root of this situation which is poverty.
That's how they kidnap people for ransom and some think it's normal. You won't understand until it hits you.

Those in authority need to step in and take control of this mess.

The fact we ignore today is the misery we shall face tomorrow.

If you've been with her for 10 years and have been having unprotected sex please keep testing yourself. If e no show today e go show tomorrow grin

On a serious note, cut every form of intimacy with this girl, including kissing. I know you love her but I'm sure you love yourself more. There's nothing like a not so serious HIV case. HIV is HIV and once it enters the bloodstream you're in for it. Umu Africa stop being so ignorant!!.
