megawealth01: NNPCL Gives Update On Dangote Refinery Petrol Price, Purchase
https://dailypost.ng/2024/09/13/nnpcl-gives-update-on-dangote-refinery-petrol-price-purchase/ I think the marketers don't want to buy direct from Dangote. They want to keep the system of NNPC as the so called only importer (now buyer) so the old ways of making money through bridging, over invoicing etc will continue. I will not be surprised if NNPC now gives out Local Purchase Orders (LPO) to the marketers and favoured persons to be buying from Dangote and supplying to NNPC so that a markup and some form of arbitrage can be created. Trust the cabal to find a way of staying in business. |

Many who have been in the market for years also missed Oando. It is part of the game. If you are coming into the market to get rich quick may be you should look elsewhere. |

Choiceguy: Etranzact will soon touch N10 and Chams is sold for N2 considering they are both doing almost the same business. Share holding structure may be an issue. Etranzact is rather illiquid. |

HesInMe: You can't tell the difference? Even I as a long-standing Oando shareholder can: One is a monopoly of strategic importance to Nigeria's economic prospects and stability, the other is one among many. You also cannot separate politics from Oando. No matter how you look at it the apparent connection to power keeps staying in people's view. On the other hand one just cannot but appreciate the tremendous efforts of Alhaji in actualizing the refinery. It is the biggest project ever accomplished by an individual Nigerian. It probably surpassed any project ever done by any Nigerian government. One may argue that he couldn't have done without government assistance. Granted. But the vision, the effort, the successful delivery of the project, and the struggles he is having the oil cabals, have endeared Alhaji in people's hearts. At a time when people have given up on the government refineries ever coming back on stream the Dangote refinery gave a ray of hope in people's eyes. . |

Oando feeds on news. We will need another one to reach and cross 100. The next expected news, release of results and court case, may put the bus in reverse gear. |

Looks like TRANSPOWER will establish a support level at M300 unless we have sudden cross trades of 100k at lower levels. |

emmanuelewumi: I guess you were not in the market during the crazy bull run of 2004 to 2007 Btw it is difficult to see data from those years on many of the charting websites. Most charts go back only about 10 years, and NGX is no better. |

Sunrisepebble: What is the reason behind the 100k rule? Was there a particular incident or what are NGX trying to avoid. Honestly, the NASD method of using a Volume Weighted Average Price reflects demand and supply dynamics better in terms of price movement I believe it was a reaction to events leading up to and after 2008 financial crisis. The market rallied so fast just before 2008 that many people rushed in with all their money and were crushed when the market tanked just as fast. The ease of price movements was identified as one of the factors, and so the threshold was raised. |

ositadima1: I think Oando will start putting brakes on its fall tomorrow, if it closes low at all. I think Oando will cross 100 based on observation. It has exchanged over 24 billion naira in the last 5 days. Even today, with the risk of further decline, it managed to exchange 3.2 billion naira, which is 2 million dollars (at a rate of 1600). This is just observational analysis and not buy or sell advice. It is now at the 8-day EMA. Last time it regressed to the 22-day EMA before sharply reversing. If it were to repeat that pattern now the 22-day EMA is around 57. For many stocks having this kind of rapid rally the 8-day EMA line is a usual support level. Just looking at the chart. Not saying or hoping that should happen. |

KarlTom: There was no factual evidence to buttress this claim... That's why I said "it's likely". Many people experienced this case where their orders were executed even when it's not their turn in the queue. Since we're not the ones doing the floor operations the only reasonable explanation is what was given. |

Deadlytruth: That is the nature of investment. Unpredictable as the Nigerian Stock Market may be, it still remains the shortest cut to overnight wealth in a legitimate manner. It is just to spot two opportunities of stocks that will do 500% one after the other all within a year, and then put N10m in one, and when it is done, you put the loot in the next one. Within that year that will become roughly N250m You make it sound so simple. The chance of this happening in the manner you described is 1:1000 |

Despite the bear catching Oando today it has so far sold over 33m shares worth over N2.8b. The daily trade value has consistently been over N2b for many days now. This kind of money must be coming from somewhere big. |
