Charlesdock: Am a christian and am not a racist. Racism doesn't apply to a particular religion but to every one of us. If you have a problem with christianity please don't let that problem come in between you and the truth. Racism is everywhere no matter whether you're religious or not. No where did I say that all Christians are racists or that no atheists are racists. That would be bigotry or hasty generalization at the very least... But studies, a plethora of them have shown that Christians, well religious people generally are more likely to be racists... |

Godstraight: maybe in the US ,as someone who lived in the UK let me categorically tell you racism is whole on its whole there are secular Europeans who are racist, neo Nazis and sort of things Can't argue with you because am not all that familiar with dynamics in Europe but I can definitely speak for USA, the southern part of USA is dominated by Christians with states like Texas leading the pack. These southern states went to war- the American civil war to preserve slavery, when the revolution against racial segregation took place, the southerners were against same schools for whites and blacks. Even today these states vote Republican which though it's not a bad thing shows ideological leanings in the line of white supremacy. Evangelicals have been accused routinely of being racist and discriminating towards blacks, in fact the southern Baptist convention is seen criticized for it's ideologues on issues of race... It's a serious issue over there |

thesicilian: Who did those researches? Most likely racist atheists or Muslims. I think u should conduct your own research before dismissing it as some kind of atheist agenda... Below is an except from one of the articles "The study, “Why Don’t We Practice What We Preach? A Meta-Analytic Review of Religious Racism,” was conducted by Deborah Hall (Duke University), David C. Matz (Augsburg College), and Wendy Wood (University of Southern California), and appears in the journal Personality and Social Psychology Review. The authors analyzed data from 55 studies on religion and racism in America dating to the civil rights era. Combined, the studies include more than 22,000 participants, mostly white and Protestant. The researchers looked not only at things like religious affiliation, church attendance and other participation but also at the motives behind their involvement to avoid clumping all religious adherents into a single category. Racial prejudice was measured principally as self-reported attitudes and behaviors, such as preferred levels of social distance toward blacks and other minority groups." |

KingEbukasBlog: Researches say that Christianity will hit 3 billion adherents - 800 million new adherents in the next 34 years .
While armchair atheist Scepticalpyrrho is making arbitrary assumptions
See bro
1. Some people take the entire bible as an allegory and there are so many other perspectives from which the bible has been scrutinized
2. We have archaeologists that will make more discoveries to support bible stories
3. Christianity is based on the life of Christ who is a historical figure , Judaism is based on the Old Testament
4. God is not limited to religion
If can understand these basic four and more then you know that your atheism was based on ignorance . I'm sorry to say that buddy
Read more and strive to see things from different perspectives , that's my advice to you Iranu... Adherents are increasing not because of converts but because of birth rate. Islam is actually the fastest growing religion in the world. In developed countries like Britain and the Scandinavian countries, Christianity is reducing seriously... |

KingEbukasBlog: God's actions are not arbitrary or based on caprice . All in accordance to his nature . He gives life , He takes it .
Are you in God's mind to ascertain if his actions are arbitrary ?
Christianity is not based on Canaan's battles , David's victory or whatever in the Old Testament but on the life of Christianity
All these stories were included for us to see what difference Christ's coming makes Hmmm... God killed people in the old testament just to show us that Christianity makes a difference... Cool story bro |

Do u know Israel had already offended God before this?
Please, u can argue with other books. Make sure u argue with books u have finished reading.

ScepticalPyrrho: You've seen nothing.
Check this out.
2 Sam 24:15 - “The Lord sent a pestilence on Israel from that morning until the appointed time; and seventy thousand of the people died”
So, David the king decided to take census of his kingdom. Then Yahweh got infuriated by this act and killed 70,000 Israelites because of David's singly decision.
The insane part of it all is that, the same God (merciful or mercifully) placed the thought in David's mind!!!
Anas09, felixomor, randomperson, Wilgrea7
What's your take? I read that story many times. -God made David count the Israelites -God was angry David counted the Israelites -God killed 70,00 people because David counted the Israelites even though he made David count the Israelites -God is a good god |

felixomor: Thats why i told u, every person has his own study method. Some people aquire same amount of knowledge by listening while another will read it.
Even for ur answer, most likely yes. Provided other factors around both people like family, friends etc are also identical. Lemme put you out of your mystery... Even babies who have ingrained little or no information have IQs and they can be more intelligent than one another... That's natural intelligence which can be harnessed through reading and learning |

KingEbukasBlog: That's why you are ignorant or maybe you have the illusion of knowledge
Steve Jobs was an atheist in Buddhism , Sir Tim Berners-Lee is an atheist in Unitarian Universalism . These religions are indifferent towards the existence of gods . They are not based on the worship of any gods that's why an atheist can be part of these types of religion . Other religions where atheists are include Confucianism , Jainism , Raelism and Wicca
There are atheist witches in Wicca - you can google it if you wish to disabuse yourself of your repugnant misconceptions
Raelism is a UFO religion where atheists are vociferous proponents of Intelligent Design . Raelns are atheists who reject the existence of gods with the belief extraterrestrial beings created life on earth and these beings will judge humans when they come again . Raelns also believe the universe is eternal .Of course we know Science confutes that - all evidence points to a universe that has a beginning .
But Raelns still have faith that earth has always been I have so many books on Raelism
Go out there and read and stop peddling ignorant bullshiit bro Another story.... Atheists basically reject existence of God and by extension the worship of God which is religion It's not that hard |
