Am double sure someone close to the man would have warned him but he wouldn't listen and now jungle don mature. There is freedom of expression anywhere in the world but make sure your expression won't cause disorderliness in the society. Even in the US that people are shouting, you do anyhow you see anyhow.
Campaign is over so mind you tongue. During campaign anything is allowed but after campaign you need to caution yourself to avoid wahala. I'm not surprised; this type of reasoning you exhibit is typical of only people with weird and slavish reasoning or mentality!!! |

ReddLabel: Alright. Without our belief system/culture, society would probably be chaotic. It doesn't matter the geographical demography, the culture you're born into would form the nucleus of your being/interaction/belief and value. There are exceptions no doubt. It is in our culture for men to do the wooing. It is also in our culture for wives to take care of the house cores.
Get this, do you know western culture we are trying to tailor our way of life in line with dictates a completely different societal norm? What their men do and believe in, our men don't. What their women do and believe in, our women don't.
The bottom line is, you can't isolate people's way of life from their culture. The culture could be wrong though but that's another thing It's a romantic confusion to think that we copied our present romantic way of life from the western culture without copying the core thing which gives birth to relationships. Culture matters little here; our mentality counts the most. |

love and money cannot sustain relationship, only 'loyalty' can.
give me loyalty and I will open my bank acct for her, while i cherish her smile like a blessing, and make her happiness my ultimate commitment.

ReddLabel: That's very good. I was quick to judge. Is your lead post not a product of your experience? How do you reconcile it with the emboldened? The tone in which the word 'surround' comes is what I find unacceptable. I can't say I have not had one or two experiences in the past but that cannot be the only way to learn; you can learn through observations and people's experiences. I don't fall for cheap tricks these days. |

I've been a blunt person so if you don't like coming to terms with bluntness and gospel truths, you might consider disengaging yourself from this post. Our romantic culture in this part of the world is one that's largely based on materialism and expected standards laid down by young women in our cities. There's nothing a typical Nigerian girl is more conscious of nowadays than her beauty, looks or 'natural endownments'. In fact, with these, she feels she holds both the yam and the knife! With this assumed position, she tries to set the standards. There's nothing like mercy or pity here; women hardly exhibit 'pity' when they make choices. Anyway, would you prefer to be pitied on? I still don't understand why some young men do not realize that men are expected to set standards too as it stands now! If you struggle to be successful tomorrow, don't just pick any girl; go for the best; go for a successful woman too because even the one that lives in the ghetto might look down on you if you are nothing. To be sincere, trying to keep beautiful ladies over here in a relationship is a pain on its own because most of our young women are no longer conscious of anything they could showcase to give themselves value in love other than 'natural endownments' and face. As a guy, focus on your priorities first; don't pretend to be superman, trying to please any girl you consider a must-get when your legs are still financially shaky on the ground because she's beautiful. You might soon lose her to that successful man who meets her standards while trying to be Mr Pleasy-Pleasy! If you are still an undergraduate on campus, don't judge this post because of the pretty young ladies that you are having strings of affairs with; that's campus for you! There's little or no choice, it's a students' community. Wait till you get out of that fantasy land and see if these girls would still be there when you are expected to take responsibilities now Struggling to date a pretty woman without the necessary resources to provide her comfort and financial security simply leads to frustration! If you are not up to the task, why subject yourself to emotional torture in order to please anyone? My guy, your 6-packs, big chest, fine face, humour, etc, put together, cannot meet this standard if finance is not involved. Stay alive...don't give yourself unnecessary heart-attack Happy Sunday! |

DropShot: Only pragmatic and analytical minds will agree with you pastor.
Let's do a simple and quick analogy:
1. I earned N100k monthly for five years. After spending on family needs and other things, I should have N20k left for savings.
2. The N20k I should keep on monthly basis in those five years, I didn't keep it but was using it on frivolities.
3. Suddenly my salary got reduced to N40k for some reason.
Will I still be able to provide for all the needs of my family as I used to when salary was N100k? Common sense should tell me and those around me that I will struggle BIG TIME while looking for alternative ways out.
Even if a wife expects her husband to still meet such needs after knowing the facts above, people around her will condemn and criticize her for not showing understanding as well as lacking perseverance.
Nigerians need to give the government reasonable time and put things in perspective of the times we are.
Only quote me if you have evidence-backed argument to offer. Not the usual inanities. This is one of the MOST SENSELESS analysis I have ever seen on this forum! Next pls! We have heard this countless times!!! How was the socio-economic condition of the United States before Obama became president? If you don't know, it was a disappointment! Did he rely on the usual blame game with George Bush's administration? NO!!! When you call a technician to fix ur gadget, you don't expect him to start quarreling with the technician that worked on it before because u have paid him to fix it! It's very simple. This government, like the previous ones, is nothing but scam!!! |
Romance › Re: When A Girl Regrets Breaking Up With Her Guy by Rapmoney(m): 8:21am On Aug 21, 2016 |
marvelck: A lot of girls have found themselves in such situation, but don't usually admit it cos of pride. After leaving her guy cos of another guy, many of them end up regreting it when things start going south (wrong) in her new relationship. Some might try to go back to her ex, while others out of shame or pride would simply decide to move on to other persons rather than go back to an ex she cruelly left...most of the girls you see out there laughing, aint smiling in their hearts. And when you ask them if all is well, they will always tell you they are fine. But deep within them, they know they are not happy. Cos they've made mistakes they keep regreting everyday. Must all ur topics start with "When"? It's getting boring; u need to make changes, man! |
