Have you ever dipped your fingers in a pot of Melon Soup (Egusi) without heating or getting it refrigerated? The next day, be sure that your soup will become sour!!! This is possibly what could become of your relationship and emotional feelings when 'distance' is involved, especially, when this 'distance' is not handled with enough maturity!I personally think it is basically foolish trying to maintain distant relationships when the two persons involve do no wish to get married or are not ready to settle down as husband and wife within the shortest possible time! If your girlfriend lives in Uyo and you live in Akure, the burden and regular emotional pains that distant relationships bring could be better tamed if both of you would be tying the knot as soon as possible. On the other hand, in a situation where both of you are still confused on the future of the relationship or there are no serious plans for marriage on ground, you could both be deceiving yourselves while living in constant emotional torture!!! ![]() 'Love', no matter how fake it is, grows when the persons that are involved are physically present with each other to ignite the ingredients of romance in the relationship. When romance leaves through the door in a relationship, affection, care and attention are definitely going to leave through the windows! 'Love' would become a mirage and relationship would be recklessly abandoned and forgotten! As partners, doing things together such as going to the cinema, shopping, strolling and holding hands in the park, watching movies together at home, cracking jokes and seeing the smiles on the faces of each other go a long way in boosting romance . On the contrary, these things are not present in distant affairs! Relationship needs physical body contact, if truth be told. That's the easiest way to reduce unnecessary tension, jealousy, accusations and counter-accusations, constant cheating and lying and all other funny things that go along with distant affairs!!!In this world that we live in, where materialism and sex are fast becoming the foundations of most relationships, you should sincerely think about it...whether the one you romantically call 'your love' is fervently sincere with you too . I mean, phone calls and chats are just so boring and useless without physical contact!!!I am not a misogynist and has never been but experiences and observations have clearly shown that ladies cheat more in distant relationships because they are more prone to romantic pressures from other men; some may be carried away by materialism and the pressure to have sex!!! This explains why you may be in Warri, happy that you have a loving girlfriend that lives in Lagos, not knowing that one sharp banker with slick tongue and posh car is banging her in and out! In no time, her care and attention for you would decrease; she would call and text lesser and discussions on phone would become so boring! You should know it is almost coming to an end! . If you don't have any plans of getting married soonest, don't waste your time on distant affairs! I would even suggest you use the money you spend on regular, boring and long phone calls on online betting because you cold be wasting your resources on a girl someone else is 'eating' ![]() Distant relationship is full of pains, lies, emotional trauma, unnecessary troubles, jealousy and fear all occassioned by lack of physical presence! |

By Chinenyeh Ozor A faction of Assemblies of God Church has been dragged to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, by the Assistant General Superintendent, accusing the factional General Superintendent and six others of alleged fraudulent conversion of funds running into billions of naira. •File photo: Show of shame… Security men battle to break up a fracas involving factional members of the Assembles of God church. The Assistant General Superintendent, Rev. Ramsey Ogagaoghene in a petition addressed to the EFCC noted that the factional General Superintendent, Rev. Dr. Chidi Okoroafor and six others allegedly embezzled over N100 billion belonging to the church, adding that Rev. Okoroafor was the Assistant General Superintendent until March, 2014 when he could not account for funds of the church and formed a parallel group that threw the church into crisis. On account of the petition dated September, 2015 submitted to the Commission by Mr. Eli Ugwu, counsel to the petitioner and four others, the group urged the Commission to investigate the alleged fraudulent conversion of money and embezzlement of funds belonging to the church by Rev. Okoroafor and his cohorts as they approved money for projects without due process of the church, and allegedly executed such projects by themselves. Petition The petition read in part: “On behalf of the Assistant General Superintendent, Rev. Ramsey Ogagaoghene, Bright Arukwe, Clement Esochaghi, Oliver Udensi and Sunday Palma for and on behalf of pastors and other concerned members of the church, we claim that Rev. Vincent Alaje, Rev. Femi Adegoke, Mr. Dickson Ukpai, Mr. Michael Ugbor, Elder Mike Okoro and Tony Ewelike engaged in illegal and unauthorized business without the approval of the General Suprintendent. “Alaje unilaterally spent about N115 million belonging to the church, personally negotiated and concluded payments for three plots of lands and has started developing the plots without the consent and authority of the General Superintendent and other officers of the church. “Alaje was fond of commandeering the money of the church, approving same by himself, and authorized payments without the consent of the General Superintendent. This was evidenced by his requisition of 5/4/2013 for the sum of N1.5 million which he tagged, ‘Trip to Ibadan with family.’ The unilateral stashing of fund was after the church magnanimously approved N2 million for him” The petition further indicted Alaje of illegally collecting N28.5 million as staff investment premium without any authorization, which according to the report, was against the general council accounts procedures. The petition further noted that the same amount was deposited into an account with Diamond Bank. Rev Ogagaoghene in the petition also prayed EFCC to question Mr. Tony Ewelike on the N1.4 billion Assemblies of God Ministers Benefit Scheme, AGMBS, which he was unable to account for. The petition further pointed out that Rev. Femi Adegoke,, the former media director of the church should also be investigated for allegedly defrauding the church of over N50 milliion. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/10/assemblies-of-god-church-drags-factional-group-to-efcc-over-embezzlement/

Seems Uganda is a fun place to party for ratchets like me. While performing at a club Amnesia in Kampala last week, Amooti called an almost naked lady on stage and offered her a 'roll in the hay' that night as the crowd watched. According to Eyewitnesses, Amooti was performing his jokes and one involved sleeping on top of a woman. The unclad lady was identified as Susan Taaka, but that’s none of our business. Anyway apparently is not the first time Amooti is doing such crazy things. See Pictures Below: http://tiwasblog.co/2015/11/photos-ugandan-comedian-sleep-on-unclad-woman-as-audience-watch/?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=Postcron.com

Marriage, they say, is the 'legal' union between a man and a woman. The term, 'legal' in this definition means that it is accepted or supported according to the common customs and traditions of the people and backed by the constitution of the land. It is pitiful that the Nigerian society has been so monetized and materialized to the extent where this 'legal' institution is now seen as a business venture...or to say, a financial contract where a young man should belt himself up very well before embarking on. I don't think marriage should even be seen among the lists of things or events a young man saves up for! If marriage has not been 'bastardized' and monetized in Nigeria, why do young men save up cash as if they are getting prepared to acquire a land, car or house? What stops a young man from paying the agreed bride price to the girl's family if they both love each other? I mean, must every one in the entire community be involved in the unnecessary merry-making that goes with this new type of 'business venture'? Why can't those resources be saved for business that can grow and give the unborn children an everlasting joy in life?We Nigerians know how to copy the evils of the white people quickly but we are very slow to copy the reasonable aspects of their way of life . In other climes, friends and families come together to observe light merriment and after that, the young man is allowd to retire to his house with his new bride. Not in Nigeria!!! If such happens, people would murmur for weeks on how 'poor' and 'quiet' the marriage is!A young man graduates, struggles to get a job; if he finally gets one, it might just be sufficient to take care of his immediate needs! Coupled with this, he would have to save to get an apartment, buy a car and at the same time, save for marriage! . As a man, you must also live up to the upkeep of the family or else, the 'contract' becomes shaky and breaks!!!This is the main reason why male life expectancy in Nigeria is shamefully low!!! Oya, where those small boys wey think say Nigerian marriage na beans? Dem dey 'propose' to imaginary babes for another man thread! |
Sunexy:Guy, u sure say u dor hustle enough? Abi u feel say marriage na for mouth? ![]() |

During my sojourn in the Ivory Tower, I was able to figure out that some departments didn't just host lively students and activities. News hardly came from such departments and it seemed these departments were not part of the university community! After visiting some Nigerian higher institutions of learning in recent times, I discovered that the 'boring' phenomenon still exists. Below are some of the departments :1) Department of Religious Studies: often times when I walked passed this department to my faculty, I couldn't help but wondered whether it is a grave yard since the whole place would be so quiet. The students are not usually much too and they always have this facial expressions of 'Na wa...na me dey study this one'...'Abeg, I don tire for life sef'...'Na make e no be like say we no go school' . You hardly hear any campus news from this department too! I wonder what graduates from this department do because I haven't seen any of the religious studies graduate during my time yet!!!2) Department of Agricultural Science: The value or importance of agriculture in Nigeria cannot be over-emphasized but the way most Nigerian students see this course has made it to become such a boring department that most students on campus look down on with dismay! Most guys who find themselves in this department/faculty, sometimes, feel inferior to approach babes in departments/faculties such as Law and Medicine because they always erroneously think that the babe would look down on them! . Na Agric Faculty dey always carry last for my university faculty football championship competition! . That inferiority mentality still dey affect them! 3) Department of Philosophy: Another boring department! I once thought of students in this department having a quiet room where they sit and reason for hours as part of their semester exams!!! . I told a friend and he almost laughed his head off! . Na for this dept dem go tell you say the spirit of God dey everything, so you fit address a cup as God! It's such a quiet department.4) Department of Secretarial Studies: I don't think most of the secretaries in many establishments studied this course to work as a secretary. This department is hardly known and heard of on campus. It is mostly patronised by a handful of rural girls from neighbouring communities who dress like Mary-Amaka! ![]() 5) Department of Geography/Regional Planning and Urban Development: Another boring department! I don't think they ever held any event such as departmental/award night till I left school! It is a nice course but boring department in most Nigerian schools! In essence, I think it is the mentality of the Nigerian society that has 'inferiorized' (I wonder if such word exist in English) these departments and the students under them. You can add yours! ![]() |
Playwhizard:What's the purpose of this thread? You knew very well that this trash would not be tolerated in the 'Politics section' that's why you rushed to Romance...there are lots of unserious folks here!!! ![]() |
