Most people who have this mentality of urs usually remain poor in life! If this post is not beneficial to u, it will be to many people who are eager to acquire knowledge. Some jobless broke people who are not even sure where their breakfast will come from tomorrow are all over the place celebrating someone who just got richer by 25M ,yet, there's nothing to celebrate in their own lives!

We are speaking of a pastor here and we want him to demostrate the attribute of a ChristIan that's why we are remaining him ( not begging ) to forgive - in case he forgot . Not that I'm not aware his rights under the constitution.

And please , can you kindly qoute where Jesus flogged someone in the bible . Don't twist the Bible just to buttress your argument .

New American Standard Bible Matthew 21:12

And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all
those who were buying and selling in the temple,
and overturned the tables of the money changers
and the seats of those who were selling doves.

Gods reputation matters more than your reputation .
Who are we?

when you're in Christ you think more of God and less of yourself .

You must even humilate yourself , if need be , to promote God
In ur quiet time, search ur heart very well and tell me if u would type what u typed if Ibiyiomie was a Bhuddist, considering the fact that everyone irrespective of religious backgrounds comes under the laws of the state.

That's where their ignorance lies. If u check well, many of these folks who are criticizing Ibiyiomie for pursuing his rights would have called for the head of the man who named his dog after Buhari some time ago.

Good my brother. Social media is now a platform in Nigeria where people's characters are defamed frequently and we all see it as joke or comedy. I'm sure many folks don't know the crises such defamation can cause. A man who sees the dead body of someone he doesn't know being carried in a coffin along the road would think it is a log of wood but when the dead is related to you, then u know how painful it is to lose someone.

Excuse me, Jesus paid tax as an individual not for a church. He never ran a church he only had followers without any shade you can point to as their abode or building. Get your facts right. Most of these pastors pay taxes as individuals. I am 100% sure of my own pastor and makes sure all the staff working under the ministry's taxes are properly remitted. I am 100% sure of what I'm telling you. Jesus instructed Peter to go and pay His own tax and theirs.

The only thing I can say concerning this issue is that "defamation of character" is a very big offence under the constitution, and I'm of the opinion that anybody can take legal action and to redeem his image.

Any church that has schools or anything that it earns money from should pay taxed for that but the Church itself should not be taxed because church money are contributed by people who pay taxes.
In the first place, this is a case of violating the rights of a citizen; it has nothing to do with taxation. I made reference to Christ paying tax to explain a point that you cannot separate the citizens from the state irrespective of religious doctrines or affiliations. He is supposed to know that.

Then safe to say Churches and Pastors should start paying tax.

You can not enjoy privileges under religion and when it comes to acting what you preach we say it is two consenting adults sleeping with one another or fighting.
This does not have anything to do with tax. That churches do not pay tax doesn't have anything to do with people's fundamental rights. The victim is a Nigerian citizen and the rights enshrined in the constitution are suppose to cover him. He is not a Vietnamese for crying out loud!
Christianity EtcKemi Olunloyo: We Should Stop Using Religion As Excuse For Character Defamation by Rapmoney(op): 9:59am On Apr 03, 2017
Just recently, we have seen countless posts and articles on why Pastor David Ibiyiomie isn't acting like a Christian or why he should stop 'persecuting' the blogger, Kemi Olunloyo, a woman well known for her frequent defamation of people's character (a crime under the law) and her 'garage journalism' all in the quest to be famous.

Firstly, we should see Pastor Ibiyiomie as a bonafide citizen, a Nigerian, before we take a look at his religious background. He is a Nigerian like every other Nigerian who is entitled to protected rights as eshrined in our constitution. It amazes me that many folks talk about fundamental human rights, yet see everything wrong in punishing people found to have defamed the character of others and criticize the victims when they pursue their rights through legitimate means..

Defamation of people's character is against the law, whether we like it or not. Anyone who feels his character has been defamed is free to seek redress in law courts. It is not out of place. We should stop hiding under religious doctrines to support character defamation in Nigeria. Things like this are not condoned in saner climes. When you say or write negative things about people and accuse them of doing something evil, you must have concrete evidence. Character defamation is not and has never been a comedy or joke! Such things can cause damages and crises in the homes or organizations of victims. Now, we talk of forgiveness? huh Why did Ananias and his wife, Sapphira die when it was said they told a lie? Why weren't they forgiven by God and the apostles as we have been told in the Bible? Irrespective of our different religions, you cannot separate the laws of the land from the citizens. Even Jesus recognized the laws of the state as at then when he paid taxes to the Roman government. In essence, the law should be allowed to take its course irrespective of our religious doctrines.

Most of these folks castigating Pastor Ibiyeomie never cared to caution Kemi Olunloyo when she was busy writing stuffs about people where there was no concrete (even soft) evidence. The hypocritical nature of many Nigerians has come to play again. How many articles did we read cautioning Ms Olunloyo when she was writing what she wrote? huh Now, we are seeing floods of posts and articles on social media condemning the pastor on his stand. Sincerely speaking, being a Christian does not mean one should not exercise his or her fundamental rights; it does not mean one should condone character defamation. How many of us do ask if Kemi Olunloyo had any evidence to prove her claims as at when she wrote about the pastor. I am not speaking as a religious person; I am speaking as a Nigerian citizen who is much aware that citizens possess fundamental rights which they should enjoy. I don't know Pastor Ibiyiomie personally and I have never been to his church before. I am not one of those who shout "judge not" or see pastors as saints. What I am saying in essence is that Nigerians should stop criticizing the man because he decided to take a stand that would see that his rights are protected by the law. What is the essence of a crime when there is no punishment? huh

Kemi Olunloyo deliberately defamed a citizen's character. That is the fact; whether it involves a pastor, magician, juju priest or a Bhudda whorshipper is irrelevant here. She should face whatever punishment the law dishes to her. Let it serve as a lesson for others who defame the character of others, especially, on social media, as a thing of joke or to increase popularity.

...As a lady, I will tell you few reasons most girls don't give in relationships. Going by the average Nigerian guy mentality and the society. Once a guy lays a girl,he has conquered her...her worth depreciates. A guy gets dumped by his girlfriend and one of the first thing his friends might ask is "you fu|ck am?".
This in turn made some girls feel sex is beneficial to the guy alone. In her head, she is like...you want to chop me, still chop my money. The only way she can get even is if you're the one doing the giving, while she provides a port for you to insert. This is one reason, male besties of girls benefit pass boyfriend, bestie is not inserting...he is just playing his card well. One of the best position for a guy to enjoy a female is the friendzone. Start observing from today...LOL

...Some others are born stingy.

...With all the singlet complains, some don't have enough to wow you, and are ashamed to buy something cheap.

...Some don't wanna embarrass you. Let's face it, some guys would naturally get embarrassed if you start showering them with gifts or sending them airtime every time. I guess they've been configured to believe they should do the giving.

I can't relate to girls not calling their boyfriends. I'm a caller, except I just wanna give you your space. I'm a giver too, if you can't give your friends and family, you would find it difficult giving some other person just because you guys are in a relationship.
There are also guys that won't give their friends N500, but they'll invite a girl over and send N10,000 for transport, just to insert... naso life to be.
U sef too talk! Chai! This ur moniker sha...reminds me of someone grin

Life is funny like that ...my current girlfriend is not a Valentine's day person at all ...you buy her anything on that day ...and it just doesn't register for her at all . She's not a saver too either just like me and its a habit we are both trying to cultivate .

I appreciate that some people here spoke about love language with regard to giving gifts .

In a previous relationship I told my GF at the time that do not go out of your way to buy expensive things for me . I appreciate it but if you go to oju elegba and buy comic books for me I would appreciate it even more .

Val's day comes around she buys me an expensive watch ...expecting me to reciprocate . omo at that time I was broke man . I felt bad ...like really bad .

But did that mean I loved her any less ? No .

Some people can't give you money ...but they can go to hell and back for you with what they have .

I ask does your partner do other things for you in return ?

That's why I always say marriage and relationships are all about business ?

Because no matter what you think ? It always come down to- what can this person do for me . It doesn't make anyone a bad person but sha ...let's always try and do what we can for our partners .

Summarization - know your partner's love language ...don't give them Benz when all they really want is a WhatsApp phone call .
I think I appreciate ur view. That's a nice one there cool

Most Nigerian girls have been automatically programmed to make gifts their love language. That's their default setting.
