Family › Re: Why Did He Do This? I Need To Understand Why Some Act This Way. Is It Right? by Rashman578(m): 1:23pm On Nov 19, 2020 |
CalliDora1: Long post. Please bear with me.
This trait seems to be common among some Nairaland men (with apologies to all the men here though) cos I never really experienced such attitude with men ive met offline. So don't know whether they have a nairaland men's association (not the red pillars or mgtow kinda thing though) where they agree to behave likesome. The way they reason sometimes just baffles me.
Ok. So, I met someone here as a friend and I wanted it to stay that way. Along the line, he wanted more than just friendship but I just kept dodging because I don't want any issues as he's a good friend (a born again) and I like our friendly chats and all that. So didn't want anything serious that could jeopardize that but he kept pressing on and stressing until I naturally began to feel relaxed (against my wish) you know how that constant checking on someone tends to make one want to compromise their Stance. So I sort of got trapped.
Now here's the issue. He would always want to know about my biz and job. If I went or not. So I decided to test him. He would always call and ask if I've eaten. So that day, I said no (was fasting) but didn't want to divulge it to him that I was fasting. He called later in the day and asked again, I said I've not eaten, he dropped. I now felt he prolly thought I wanted him to feed me huh??.. I observed he reduced his calls. Third day he called and asked again, I said no. And he said "na wa o" I was like why, he said I'm sorry I can't help. Huh?? I don't remember asking him so I decided to play along. He called in the evening, I still said I've not eaten ( cos I had not broken my fast then) and he said I'm sorry ( I was just laughing within). I asked him, for what? he said because he couldn't help. And since then he stopped calling only to chat after a week to ask if the biz I was pursuing was through. I ignored him and for two months no contact.
Just last night he chatted me up again asking if I've resumed work and I said yes. he then asked if he's free to call me bla bla. And since last night hes been trying to keep up chats but I'm kinda cold towards him and he asked why I'm so cold. Acting like nothing happened.
Now, this is what I feel. so if someone is truly dying of hunger (God forbid) you'll abandon the fellow? or that they can't date someone who's biz is shaky or has not resumed work due to a global crises that affected everyone? I'm not saying anybody should carry someone else's burden ( there was really no burden anywhere as God has been faithful.) but I don't understand what actually played out there and why he's all of a sudden interested again after learning I've resumed work. I don't just understand because I don't want to be rude. Was that a right thing?
I'm really confused here because.. I mean.. I never asked you to help me with anything but being there would have been enough. Calling and chatting would have helped me scale through the bordom I felt that period of compulsory break from work and biz but he went into Oblivion even when I never placed any demands on him.
I bow to men and the way they reason o. You said u suspected he thought so so so... Same way he suspected you were up to so so so which you rightly thought. All I see here are two suspects! If you block him (for disappearing no p) however, u might disagree all u like buh truth is u were guilty of what u thought (rightly) he's guilty of too!!! |
NYSC › Re: NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ondo: Everything You Need To Know About by Rashman578(m): 9:38pm On Nov 15, 2020 |
Gemid94: Location: NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ondo is located at Off Ado Ekiti-Ikare Road, Ikare-Akoko, Ondo. This camp ground is where the 3 weeks NYSC Orientation Course takes place. It involves physical drills, lectures and training, and social activities intended to foster interactions among Corps members.
Management team: The following are the management team of NYSC Ondo Permanent Orientation Camp: The State Coordinator, Mrs. Grace Akpabio, Mr Oyebade Babatunde (AD PRS), Mr Suru John Henry (AD Deployment and Relocation), Mr. Ogunfidodo Adebowale (AD Inspection and Monitoring), Mrs. Fashola Adejoke (AD Corps Displine and Reward), Mr. Anabor Peter (Assistant Director), Mrs. Ehimwenma Itohan (AD SAED), Mr. Bankole Simeon (Head, Press and Public Relations Unit), Mr. Thompson Babatunde (Head, ICT), the list endless.
Best features: The camp ground features structures and facilities for swearing-in ceremony, paramilitary drills, accommodation rooms, lecture halls, open field for sports and assembly and many of such. There are military personnel who train Corps members on appropriate military ceremonial matching, sports, as well as Man-O-War physical drills. There is the large market operated by the locals popularly called "Mami Market" where all camp needs are sold, including food and drinks. Also, there are well equipped worship centres for both Christian and Muslim Corps members.
Other features: There is a friendly-OBS team in the camp led by the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Bankole Simeon in conjunction with other versatile members of the editorial staff. The Orientation Broadcasting Service, popularly called OBS, is the voice of NYSC. Like every radio station, it disseminates information and keeps Corps members in camp abreast of happenings and entertained them with other hilarious programmes.
Another feature is the topnotch Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme Corps members are exposed to. The Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development scheme is an initiative of the NYSC driven to aid corp members in obtaining necessary skills that will encourage them in turn to pursue entrepreneurship careers in order to reduce their possible time spent in the labour market in search of paid employment. The Ondo SAED is headed by Mrs. Itohan Ehimwenma.
What to bring: Before heading to NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ondo, here are some helpful things to take along with you: Your required documents such as Call-up letter, Statement of Result, Student ID Card, etc., passport photographs, waist pouch, white tees and shorts, cash, housing necessities, among other basic necessities to make your camping fun and inspiring.
My review: It is worthy of note to know that Orientation Camp is the best part of NYSC. Here, you meet people from all parts of the country and learn and accept local customs and different cultures, make new friends, build camaraderie and learn what to expect during your service year. All through your stay in the camp, except Sunday worship mornings, you will wear your all-white tees, shorts and shoes. You will be served meals three times daily but most Corps members prefer eating at the Mami Market where the choice and quality of food is better and preferable. There is always an activity for each time of the day, with brief moments in the evening allowed for personal use. Go to camp with an open mind and a thirst for adventure and you will enjoy it to the fullest. You can leave a message in the comment section for me in case you need more information about the camp. Camped here.. Enjoyed ondo state |

samendo87: My own contributions about #EndSarS and EndPolice Brutality n Bad Goverance 1) There should be 100%reduction of presidency n legislators salaries 2) Age limitations to the office of presidency and legislator, for presidency within( 45-55 years of age), for Senators ( 35-45 years), Reps ( 28-35 years) in order to allow Youth ( their generations has gone 3) All special advisers for the president & legislators must be Youth ( 28-37 @ Max) 4) Recalling of Non-performing governors, senators and Reps and put into 3-years impronsement and refund all the money( salaries) 5) One Tenure for the presidency, legislators and Reps( 4-years) 6) There should be free education, Technology must stays in Nigeria and Agriculture must be a constant stuff 7) Any officers been it military or paramilitary that misbehave is going on life impronsement
Any corrupt politicians found is going into life impronsement We can do it Youths Their lives has expired Let's put an end to this old generals tenure n papa They should and sleep and allow younger generation to carry on God bless Nigeria Your groupings are okay buh there should be only upper limits. She has blocked me on every social media platforms but yet i still find a way to stalk her. Following her updates & uploads using a different and fake id.
Whenever we cross paths on the road she ignores me like we never knew before. Despite the fact that it was her that messed up and did all the lies & cheating, yet i still forgave her for everything she did.
How can i move on and let go of her totally & for good because anytime i and my new girl are eating, walking, bathing & romancing i do imagine my ex. Bro tell your mum, she'll find you solution. Peace |

Romance › Re: Boyfriend Lied About His Age by Rashman578(m): 12:52pm On Sep 14, 2020 |
etrange: I've always believed age is just a number and shouldn't come in the way of marriage. But this is not about the age, it's about trust. The ideal thing is for her to confront him and hear what he's got to say. Such conversations are painful cause the idea of your lover keeping such a secret could really hurt. If he's really younger and has been hiding it all this while, trust has been broken and there's no telling how much more he's got to hide. Men get away with many things in a relationship so expect a lot of people here to suggest she should pardon him and stay since he's been a cool guy but I personally believe that apologies offered when one is already caught don't mean true repentance and, like I said, there could still be a lot the guy is hiding. The foundation is already shaky. Reverse this case in your mind, assume it was a lady that came with a baggage of lies, would you still trust her to be your second half?
I'm not saying she should stay, neither am I saying she should quite. This is because I don't know their personal circumstances. I don't know what could have made the guy to lie and how long he planned to keep up with it. I don't know the sacrifices both have made for each other in the past. I don't know how much time, energy and other resources they've invested in the relationship before now. So whether she stays afterwards or not depends all these and also on her personality: can she deal with the knowledge that her partner once harboured such a secret or will that always creep up every now and then and make her feel uncomfortable or unsure of his words? This kind of thing could hurt for long and she will blame herself if she decides to stay and later discover more lies.
Let her follow her heart and even if her final decision leads to regrets, she should take solace in the fact that she did what she felt was the right thing at the moment. As humans, we can only work with the limited knowledge we have as no one knows the future.
