PoliticsRe: Trouble Still Raging Inside NIMC Over N30 Billion THEFT!!! by Rawani: 9:45pm On May 18, 2015
CriticalThought:
I cannot do research for you, but I cant point you to where to start to see all the information

http://www.nimc.gov.ng/

http://www.nimc.gov.ng/?q=resources

The second link has all the financials you want, annual reports, policies etc
Seen, however a forensic accountant would give a better qualification of the 2011 financials. I studied the more recent ones and all seems fine, you were right about the the FG not allocating up to N30 billion in 2012/2013 (the range was N12 - N13 billion). However the year under review is 2011, and the DG himself acknowledged the receipt of N30.066 billion for for the procurement of cards and the accelerated expansion of the back end. Granted, the accounts were audited, but the services of a forensic accountant will put this case to rest.
PoliticsRe: MASSOB To Jonathan: Free Rev. King, 35 Others Before May 29 by Rawani:
This is exactly why they cannot be taken seriously. An organization that has its mission explicitly stated in its name only exposes itself to ridicule by requesting for the release of a convicted killer. If this organization is the LNC navigator, then I can only laugh. Anyway they know the nature of Jonathan, after pardoning convicted criminal Alamiseyigha and courting Kashamu, who can really blame them?

CriticalThought:
This is all smoke, no fire. Doesn't anyone find it strange that the DG has been there for almost 8 years now, not once was he accused of anything and the minute he decided to sack people found to be fraudulent and hand them over to the police, he is accused of embezzling by the unions. They are a trying to tarnish his legacy and reputation.

As it is commonly known, if you cant attack his work, attack his reputation

They accused him of embezzling 30 billion, if anyone bothered to investigate, they would see that, The FG has not even released that amount of money to NIMC. You can read all of NIMC financials for yourself and verify. It is audited every year, yet all the news media are carrying it like its headline news. Such a shame how people will fall for anything they see on tv.
Kindly provide the financials to justify your defence.

Don't mind that Rawani guy grin
He copied a comment of his on previous thread to come and paste it here, Even though the topics are not related. Funny...
I responded to the part of the report that could set a nasty precedence of condoning electoral malpractices which would adversely affect my ability to eject PMB and any successors he has if they fail to deliver on their electoral promises. Rivers state finances are the least of my concerns as they have not justifiably benefited the poor Niger Deltan and are bound for the accounts of the the corrupt politicians you always seem to seek to protect based on kinship.

chukwudi44:
conduct 1000 e;ections in River state even with Amaechi as REC ,APC wil still lose. You don't seem to understand the level of animosity and anger against the APC that currently exists in the nider delta.BTW an election petition tribunal can only nullify or uphold the results of an election,it cannot send anyone to jail.Even if the lections are nullified,Wike would still contest and win
Oh these I know. Unfortunately the PDP also knew this but insisted on clear and unbridled rigging which was truly unnecessary to guarantee victory. However electoral offences were committed, electoral laws were broken, an elections tribunal has been constituted, and a President that upholds the rule of law is about to be sworn in. Add a vindictive Ameachi and that would make an interesting cocktail you would agree, I therefore don't see your assertions seeing the light of day at this bar.
PoliticsRe: Amaechi: Tough Times Await Wike In Rivers by Rawani: 11:53am On May 18, 2015
The entire world witnessed the lawlessness, impunity and bloodletting that characterized the Rivers State elections, which were roundly condemned. Nigerians should resist the urge to defend lawlessness because of perceived kinship, because when the chips are down, these politicians will sacrifice you as one of the masses that were unfortunately cut down in their pursuit of democracy, and you end up a statistic.

If the tribunal finds Wike wanting, he should be allowed to face justice, otherwise he would be profiting from the blood of the innocent.

Next time, please, write simple English.

Park well with your educational sophistication! We're all still regarded a Third World!
The third world is a euphemism for the severe under-development that characterizes African and some Asian countries brought about by war, failed political leadership, and corruption, the three things I have seen you defend and foster on this forum. Instead of focusing on my vocabulary, why not synthesize this message and the last one to see why we will continue to be regarded as the 'third world'. Protecting and defending corrupt leaders is not brotherhood, but severe folly deserving of a firm smack.
PoliticsRe: We Accept Responsibility For All Wrongs In Nigeria — PDP by Rawani:
That goes without saying. The PDP instead of being a reprieve from the decades of military rule, turned out to be a civilian dictatorship of corruption and impunity. They gave us Obasanjo the corrupt, Late Yar-adua the weak, and Jonathan the clueless corrupt failure. The PDP taught us that even if you're convicted for theft in the UK, you're a guaranteed hero in Nigeria and if money is missing in Nigeria, America will know. We eagerly await the vindication of murdered Late General Azazi who famously stated that "Boko Haram is PDP, and PDP is Boko Haram".

Good riddance to a party of thieves, fugitives and murderers.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Made Corruption Attractive, Says Niyi Osundare by Rawani:
If only the corruption could make him attractive as well. Jonathan legitimized corruption and shielded convicted thieves, to the detriment of his region that can now only boast of looters, bunkerers, militants and thugs as their political and economic leaders. So clueless was he that SS youths are now begging to have a project sited in Lagos by Lagosians relocated to Bayelsa, underlining the educational deprivation that ensured that they failed to acknowledge the logistical and operational unfeasiblity of such a move in their entire diatribe.

PoliticsRe: Before The Spirit Of Orubebe Dies... by Rawani: 11:58am On May 15, 2015
Is it a coincidence that this awareness was suddenly kindled upon Jonathan's loss? If GEJ had won and the SS continued to rule for a total of 10 years, add 8 years SW rule, do you realize the North (3 geo-political zones) would have ruled for only 2 years out of the 20 years of our democracy (1999-2019)? If the focus is on good governance which GMB espouses you worries about the ethnicity of elected officials would not be your primary concern.

This is a brilliant primer for the prosecutions due to come on this matter as the excellent choice of the widely read Financial Times as the audience for this epilogue by HRH SLS, will create global awareness of this scam, and any cries of victimization or murmuring of a pursuit of vendetta will lack credit and be dismissed summarily.

The sad thing is that they have more to gain from allowing political violence to be made less attractive through prosecution than what they will ever gain from the corrupt and evil politicians they seek to protect. Sad really.

But you'll forget the NYSC guys you instigated their killings after losing 2011 elections. Hypocrite!!!
How exactly did he instigate their deaths? If Jonathan was not utterly clueless would he not have investigated the killings? Now a capable President is about to probe the needless loss of innocent lives yet all you are bothered about is convincing the thread that two wrongs make a right.

PoliticsRe: APC Urged To Consider S-south For House Of Reps Speaker by Rawani: 9:19am On May 13, 2015
I support this move whole-heartedly. The SS has been plagued by bad leadership which has seen their true agitations being discredited as consequence of their criminal mismanagement of the region's allocations and several interventions like the NDDC, 13% derivation, ecological fund etc. The SS should be carried along in this administration.

This sentiment is not alien to most northerners either, our dear General will work better in a more united Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Why Obj Suddenly Appeared In Jonathan Last Elder Statesmen Meeting by Rawani: 5:35am On May 13, 2015
GEJ promised OBJ he was not going to seek a second term, a commitment which he publicly voiced at a campaign rally. Against that background and aside from the fact that he is a constituent member of the council and has every basis to be present there, Baba must have been there to smile in the face of a defeated Jonathan who failed to make his word his bond.

PoliticsRe: Conservatives Win UK Polls | Cameron Re-elected by Rawani(op): 9:01pm On May 08, 2015
Ed Miliband has announced his resignation as leader of the Labour Party after a disastrous election defeat which saw the Conservatives win a majority.

He made the announcement shortly after noon to a room full of supporters, saying solemnly: "This is not the speech I wanted to give today because I believe that Britain needed a Labour government.

"I still do but the public voted otherwise last night.

"I am tendering my resignation taking effect after this afternoon's commemoration of VE-Day.

"I want to do so straight away because the party needs an open debate about the right way forward without constraint."

Mr Miliband says he phoned David Cameron earlier to congratulate him on his victory.

He then told the audience: "I take absolute and total responsibility for this result."

Harriet Harman will take over the role temporarily, but says she will step down as deputy leader when the new leader is chosen.

I kinda prefers Parliamentary system to Presidential form of government. It removes the excessive powers enjoyed by the president in the latter.
I completely agree. Unlike the presidential system, parliamentary systems have a built-in mechanism that allows for the easy removal of a lousy leader, who can be removed easily in three legal ways: 1) vote of confidence; 2) removal by the party; 3) removal by the Head-of-State. Compare this with the presidential system wherein the only legal recourse is through the very difficult process of impeachment, which rarely succeeds, leaving citizens with the option of either waiting until the end of the term or forcefully removing the leader through a risky revolution or coup d'etat. Jonathan would have been stale news ages ago.
