PoliticsRe: House Where Lugard Signed Amalgamation Of Northern Southern Nigeria. -PICS by Rawani:
Frederick John Dealtry Lugard, 1st Baron Lugard GCMG, CB, DSO, PC (22 January 1858 – 11 April 1945), known as Sir Frederick Lugard between 1901 and 1928, was a British soldier, mercenary, explorer of Africa and colonial administrator, who was Governor of Hong Kong (1907–1912) and Governor-General of Nigeria (1914–1919).

He who knows not where he comes from cannot tell where he is going.

PoliticsRe: Suleiman Abba Handover To Solomon Arase (pics) by Rawani: 6:31pm On Apr 22, 2015
Power is truly transient. "One Mr. Tambuwal" is now Governor-elect Tambuwal, while IGP Suleiman Abba is now "One Mr. Sule".

Octaves:
During his military rule. He refused to endorse an igbo man for an international position like that to the dismay of ghadafi and other african leaders. Let's just hope he's a changed man.
Kindly furnish us with details (names, position) of this allegation if you know what you're saying.

Imagine the comment, how can you verify the tribe of the person you quoted, my brother you are better than this, please don't allow this website influence you, no one is perfect, but there's no excuse for tribal hate.. hate only breeds hate, and there is way too much scarcity of real love in the world to allow hate continue to breed
What's your opinion on Igbo hatred towards the North?

Sweetguy25:
Crap talk. If Buhari had the option he will substitute Akinwunmi for his Hausa/Fulani brother.
He has done it before, he wouldn't mind doing it again.
State here clearly when he did that before if you know what you're saying.
PoliticsRe: Ndigbo Forum Lists Demands For Buhari by Rawani:
Not surprising, this is what happens when faced with an uncertain future, which Ndigbo should have considered before going all gears and pistons with an unrivaled campaign of hate and character assassination. Besides I don't think fura drinking old certificateless terrorists know anything about building Niger bridges or constructing roads, so Ndigbo stuff your requests deep inside where the sun don't shine.
PoliticsRe: APC Planning To Use Tribunals To Steal Our Little Victories, PDP Cries Out by Rawani:
Let's take a minute to remember this is a party that boasted of ruling for the next 60 years, now whining about little victories and being bullied - while still in power.

By the way ignore the Ekiti veil, Sekibo was really referring to the globally condemned Rivers state elections, he knows no sane tribunal dare pronounce it as free and fair in light of the paralyzing evidence available.

Nothing can be done except to siddon look. But i can bet my life that what buhari will do is to flood everywhere with northerners senselessly.
Do you fear northerners or what exactly have they done to you? Try to be objective.
PoliticsRe: Hausa, Yoruba Conspiracy Against Jonathan Must Be Addressed Before May 29. by Rawani:
I think they have looked front, back, and side-to-side and cannot see how Jonathan's presidency benefited the region apart from the appalling enrichment of a few cronies. They must have also realized that their tacit endorsement of Dokubo's rants against Nigerians have exposed them as being arrogant and permissive of impunity as far as their brother is in power. The realization that they cannot be trusted at the center any longer, courtesy of the antics of Edwin Clark et al. must have dawned on them as well, a reality which is worsened by the campaign of hate that was led against the amiable General.

Just a fear of reaping sown seeds really...

PoliticsRe: Buhari Endorses Akinwunmi Adesina For African Development Bank Presidency by Rawani: 6:34am On Apr 22, 2015
They are both progressives who have served this country with remarkable loyalty and commitment, therefore party lines are unsurprisingly disregarded for the greater good of the country and continent.

My only regret is that if he is eventually appointed, the country would be deprived of the direct input of this technocrat who led the only successful sector under GEJ's administration.
PoliticsRe: Senate Presidency: PDP Begins Move To Battle APC by Rawani: 7:23pm On Apr 21, 2015
Akume and Saraki need to put their ambitions on the back burner. I trust Tinubu/Oyegun on this. That said however, Akume deserves the role as he has been the minority leader in the house for a significant period, and his leadership of the opposition especially during the "take-a-bow" saga has been sterling and exemplary.

As for the PDP, dream on.
PoliticsRe: West, Kalu, Ndah-Isaiah, Fashola, Abdulahi, Akeredolu may make Buhari's cabinet by Rawani: 8:56am On Apr 20, 2015
It's refreshing to see appointments being considered on the basis of competence, Fashola's dynamism, David-west's experience, Idika's exposure and Akeredolu's expertise will undoubtedly inject fresh vigour into our moribund public sector.
PoliticsRe: N2 Trillion Jonathan Campaign's Fund:A Tale Told To Idiots.. by Rawani: 8:45am On Apr 20, 2015
The N2tr figure is just about $10b - half the amount of money allegedly missing from the NNPC ($20b). So what's the fuss? Jonathan probably spent even more.

PoliticsRe: Why Are Pdp Members Disturbing Us?? by Rawani:
It's the shock of defeat, the sting of irrelevance, and the perturbations of an uncertain future. How people can wish gloom and doom for the same country they inhabit is not as surprising considering one of the greatest acts of human s.tupidity historically is cutting one's nose to spite his own face.
PoliticsRe: Grant Presidential Pardon To Ibori, Ijaw Group Urges Jonathan - VANGUARD by Rawani: 6:19am On Apr 20, 2015
Its now getting clearer that these people are their own worst enemies. A logical argument would be to encourage the authorities to go after other identified corrupt elements in similar fashion, not asking it to swallow its own vomit.
PoliticsRe: Showdown In Ekiti As Fayose Mobilises Okada Riders, nurtw by Rawani: 6:10am On Apr 20, 2015
Are Ekiti indigenes cut from a different cloth from other S'Westerners? It's puzzling that they support impunity and lawlessness with such myopic vigour that blinds them to the fact that they are holding the short end of the stick. Time will tell.
PoliticsRe: Health Law:Nigerian Human Organs Soon To Flood International Market-falana(san) by Rawani: 5:43am On Apr 20, 2015
This should have been made a campaign issue to force the law to be repealed. However with enough social media awareness, it can still be achieved.

PoliticsRe: PDP May Woo Dangote? by Rawani: 5:17am On Apr 20, 2015
Dangote is a career industrialist, entrepreneur and risk taker. However it's highly unlikely he will choose to be partisan and risk his enviable achievements, reputation and business concerns for Nigerian presidential politics, especially considering the mud slinging and character assassination that comes with it.

When his 650,000 bpd (world's largest) refinery is completed in 2017 in Lagos, he would have contributed more to our petroleum industry than many Presidents in the recent past. The PDP must be shaking in confused panic to consider a career industrialist with no political history as the party's messiah, I thought they actually had a rebound strategy (apart from attacks before the President is sworn in) judging from the way their supporters have been making noise here.

Why are TANoids screaming blue murder at the N2tr figure which is just about $10b - half the amount of money allegedly missing from the NNPC ($20b). So what's the fuss? Jonathan probably spent even more.
PoliticsRe: IMF Advices Nigeria To Remove All Forms Of Fuel Subsidy by Rawani: 9:15am On Apr 19, 2015
Regardless of the IMF'S checkered history, fuel subsidy programs are incubation centers for corruption (at least in the Nigerian context) and should be completely scrapped. Studies have shown the actual end user cost of petrol in Nigeria to be N35/litre . Petroleum subsidy in Nigeria is simply a scam.
PoliticsRe: Give Us Kwankwaso As FCT Minister, Abuja Professionals Beg Buhari by Rawani: 8:53am On Apr 19, 2015
No doubters without basis or justification can deny Nigerians the sterling leadership the red-capped engineer offers.

Engr. Kwankwaso should be more useful as Minister of Works if he agrees to forfeit his time at the Senate. General Buhari has clarified the kinds of technocrats he seeks to work with so I'm sure Kwankwaso has been penned down already. Abuja should not be selfish, the country needs to benefit from this man's excellence.
PoliticsRe: Finally, APC Zones Speaker To Southwest, SGF To S'east by Rawani: 7:04am On Apr 19, 2015
The APC is not vindictive party but an accommodating one, unfortunately the outgoing ruling party's campaigns of hatred and ethno-religious division misled some of our eastern brothers, however all hands must be on deck to kickstart the healing process and chart our course towards national development.
PoliticsRe: Abuja Is A No Man's Land by Rawani: 6:57am On Apr 19, 2015
Haven't the recent events in Lagos settled this issue? I think any further feathers raised on this issue is the fault of the Yoruba who still answer those who will not stop talking, despite making a clear point in the last guber polls in the State.

I think is very myopic to think poverty and illiteracy is synonymous to north. Having lived in all the 6 geopolitical zones, I know, I saw poverty and illiteracy evenly spread. ofcourse north has more landmass and population is therefore expected to have more, as they do have more billionaires as well!
PoliticsRe: GEJ, Russian Firm Stake N16trn To Build Four Nuclear Plants by Rawani: 6:43am On Apr 18, 2015
I was utterly startled by people dismissively saying Nigeria is not ready for nuclear power, why are we not asking HOW we can get ready for nuclear power, it's an inevitable path we might have to take if we are to achieve our goals for power generation, transmission and distribution considering our capacity needs. We should focus on drawing up a plan of how we could develop or provide the infrastructure, systems, frameworks and change agents that would enable us to seamlessly embed this technology and exploit it safely and effectively. Developed nations utilising nuclear power did not suddenly get "nuclear-ready" by simply flaunting their white skin, but by serious planning, experimentation and mistakes, mistakes which we will not have to repeat with proper planning.
