good afternoo as a matter of urgency, how much is the visa fees and how is payment made, thanks
Depends on which visa you are applying sir/ma. Check gov.uk and see what you have to pay for whichever visa you are applying for.

Oh yeah? TLS handles administrative review?
Lol, you just making things up now. What needs reviewing?

Just to reconfirm, anybody that went to UK very recently... Is COVID test or Vaccination still optional, I know they are on the website, just reaffirming?
It’s not compulsory anymore. Book your flight and land. No issues, no changes.

Good afternoon, I sent a paid mail, after some hours, I received this message from them. I believe with God all things are possible. Has anybody receive such message?
That’s what everyone has been getting for the last 3 weeks. Especially since the Ukrainian crisis started.

Please can someone give me the email address of the UKVI paid mail or how to go about the UKVI paid mail
https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk/y/outside-the-uk

Just follow the directions, fill in the pages, your passport number, GWF number, IHS number if applicable etc and tell them what your query is, hit submit and you have to pay £2.74 pence via your card.

11 weeks of successful administrative review, nil mail for passport submission yet. When will this be over?
Yeah am sure this is a TLS issue, most of the ones from March have already even here to talk about their testimony in previous pages. And it’s not like a decision has NOT been made. I think it would help the OP if he/she knows when that decision was made. Because frankly waiting on TLS can be the death of the unlucky ones.

leef2022:
Sorry, but you can only wait further until you get a collection mail, whilst doing so keep using paid mails/ and calls as would be applicable.
He or she doesn’t need to make any more paid email or calls, they have already made a decision. The next people he/she needs to chase or contact is TLS not UKVI. They would just be wasting their monies doing another paid emails/calls.

A decision has been made doesn't directly translate to travel documents is ready for collection.
I don’t think I mentioned that in my post lol.

Can someone pls enlighten me on go about this maybe I can go back there again. Is there a particular office I have to go directly instead of waiting in line with the people who are there for their passport collection? Or is there a way I have to explain to them in other for them to be able to help me check if my passport have arrived or not? I thought they were going to help me check when I went there but they only explained to me that I have to wait till they email me to come for collection. I’m getting tired of waiting already. Biometric has been done since February.
Usually you wait 10 working days before going to TLS, but I have heard of people who went directly within a few working days and picked up their passport. That’s from feedbacks on here though.

From personal experience TLS has a way of sending people away just to reduce their workload on that day. They did the same thing to my wife when she wanted to reschedule her biometrics appt whilst in front of them. They lied to her because they couldn’t be bothered to sit and show her what to do, that delay alone cost her another 17 days before she could reschedule.

When you went to TLS did anyone actually went in to check for you? Did they sit you down, check and saw that your passport isn’t there yet? If they didn’t do that then you shouldn’t have left.

You have the email that says a decision has been made. So I am assuming the decision must have been at least a week working days.

Thanks for the reply.

Ours was done on the 17th January

Several paid calls but still no decision

They’re just saying that the Ukraine crisis is causing some delays and they can not give specific timelines

I guess we’ll just have to wait and pray
Yeah that’s what they told us. I am actually patient but my wife isn’t. And I can understand her feelings. It’s not easy having a long distance marriage lol.

Anyways goodluck. I would update this forum when she gets hers, many people come here, ask questions but never return to let others know anything.

Hello house,

Thank you for all the posts, everyone’s testimonies have really been helping me through this excruciating wait.

Please has anyone who applied in January 2022 heard back yet?

My spouse and I have passed 60days but we have heard nothing
My wife did her biometrics on the 28th of Jan, we haven’t heard anything back yet. Granted it isn’t 60 working day for us until the end of April. But we have done 3 paid emails and no decision has been made yet from the replies.

When was the bio done for us?

Hi everyone, I’ve been worried lately. Had my biometric around early February, (dependent). Main applicant (student) has been approved and is already in the UK since March, the main applicant happens to be my wife. Paid mail was sent on the on 04/05/2022 and a response was received saying decision has been made that I just have to wait to receive my passport. I will like to know how long it going to take for me to receive collection email because I believe the wait is getting too long. Thank you
if the paid email was from the 4th of March then definitely go as your passport would be at TLS, if it’s from April then you can probably go to TLS before the Easter holidays.

I don't live in lagos so I can't fly down when I have no confirmation that my passport is with them. I tried looking for tls phone number online but didn't find it. So I sent a mail to tls and they replied 4 days later that they will contact me when they receive my passport. That processing time now takes longer than it is stated on the uk visa portal.
I feel for you. And I pray they contact you. It’s just difficult to believe these TLS people. But God is with you.

Their processing time is inconsistent. Some take shorter times while some take very long. I did my own biometrics since January. Was supposed to travel in Feb. But up till now I haven't gotten my passport. I have sent 3 paid mails and they confirmed a decision has long been made. But they are still holding my passport and my status when tracked still shows dmc
Wait!!! Have you been to TLS to see if your passport is there?

My online family, a wonderful day to you all. I feel so blessed and grateful for all the advice, knowledge, support and help i get from this platform directly and indirectly. My family ( wife and 3 kids) arrived safely to join me in the UK 2 weeks ago, and little by little, we have been acclimatizing and trying to settle down as a family. I have been here since October 2021, but based in Coventry as I am doing my Msc in Coventry University. But I rented a place in Birmingham as I preferred to settle there and my extended family (2 brothers) also live there. The whole process of 'japaing' with the entire family, the mental, physical, emotional and financial stress will be story for another day.

This post is to give accolades to all the elders and everyone who regularly give feedback, responses and information on this thread, which i believe might just be the last genuinely world-class level of goodness and humanity left for nigerians to nigerians who despite being strangers are so good and kind to each other. May God continually bless you on here. There are too many people to mention here who have been towering icons of knowledge and help, to both me and hundreds, requiring information for life changing decision, God will continuously richly bless and keep you and your families.

From my experience, and following the give back culture of the elders of this thread, these a a few of what i learnt that might help other people as well;
1. If a family plans to relocate, It helps a great deal if the husband or wife comes alone first, to try to settle things down in terms of accommodation especially, and other arrangements especially if 2 or more kids are involved. I know this isn't possible for all families, but from my personal experience it helps sooo much especially in terms of cutting down initial expenses and ensuring the best decisions are taking without too much pressure.....e.g kids in winter cold..arrrgh.
2. Try as much as possible that you have family or very close friends in your final destination town. The help of people already settled in a place can be invaluable in terms of all the help they can give. I can testify to this. My brothers saved me over and over, from helping me pick up household items that i bought, to helping me install beds and carry couches, standing as rent guarantor, to doing grocery shopping and helping me set up the house before my family arrived. As much as possible, base decisions on where you have a deep prior relationship, it is very very hard when you do not know anybody.
3. The couple should endeavor to save as much as possible, in terms of the partner in UK as well as the one back in Nigeria. Plans for selling properties and possessions should start early enough and be organized for maximum returns. We started a month early, itemized all the things we would sale in a excel table with predicted prices and actual prices to guide us. You will be surprised how much can be done with Jiji website as well as a page called Declutter, as long as you know how to navigate these platforms. Try to avoid selling or listing things to family and friends, you won't get good prices but rather gift them what you can spare and use social media to sell your stuff.
4. Use scale at home to weigh your luggage before going to the airport to avoid some boxes being rejected due to overload.
5. Utilize all the free websites available in UK and ebay used sections when you arrive. You will be amazed the good deals on offer if you are patient and know just where to look.

These are all i can quickly remember for now. I am fully settled now, done inspection for schools for my barely 6 year old(in 2 weeks) who will join Year1 in April for their third term, and my 3 year old who will be in nursery. We are trying to get a healthcare job for my wife while I try to round up my Msc program and and simultaneously look for a sponsored job ( I am construction project management in case anyone can refer...Lol), so I am just looking forward to the next chapter in my family's life.

Thank you all so much, sorry for the long long post, I am just so grateful to God and all of you...especially those that constantly responded to all my constant questions and inquiries here even when searching for accommodation etc. Lol. Long live this thread.
God bless you and your family.

Been unable to track it like this,,,,, have you been able to track again,,,,
Once you pay for your application via gov.Uk they would give you a log in via your email. And once you do your biometrics you should be able to track your application via the link provided in your email.

Two our side families I’ve met now on that class came with visiting Visa. One full family. Father, Mother and 2 kids. The other one mother and 2 kids. They visited a couple of times prior Sef.

Apparently there’s a group of people who guide you properly on how to go about it but the info is scarce. I hear that if you’re not guided well OYO.
Were they going through civil war too?

I doubt it, unless Red Cross were applying it for them. They were a group of women that were sexually assaulted/abused during that world, got moved to shelters to Ghana, then flown to Wales.

By the way, when people come here and apply for asylums, how do they get in in the first place. Is there an asylum category when applying via UKVI's website?
That’s a valid question, the only time I have ever met someone who came here via the asylum thing was 2005, a sierre Leonian lady. She came directly from Ghana to wales, and then seek asylum in London, it was the around the civil war/blood diamond time in their country.

To the people who have constantly made my post a credit issue when I clearly stated multiple times that it wasn’t the case. I’ve ordered the same laptop from Curry’s (without opening an account with them) using the PayPal pay in 3 option and the order was approved, I’ve been debited and the order has been dispatched. Please let the credit talk rest, that was not my issue with JL. And I did not "apply for credit" with PayPal, it’s a service open to everyone without any application on select stores.
Amazing! Glad you took your business else where, and am glad you questioned your experience with JL, shows your character. Anyways goodluck, each to their own.

What is wrong with checking LinkedIn profile if I may ask? Canada Immigration do it all the time to verify job experiences.
It is publicly held information, so anyone can access it.
Regarding cancelling debit card order, once a transaction is flagged as likely fraudulent, subsequent transactions will be denied. There will likely be a red flag that made them cancel the transaction.

I am sure JL don't care whether you are red or white, their first aim is to sell their goods. The more the better. However, they have lost a lot of money to fraudulent transactions, hence why they are very careful with transactions that involve large amount.
Just like you said “Canada immigration” this is the UK. Not Canada mate.
