I beg to disagree, as the defence was in trouble even with Ferreira onboard! I watched every minute of that match and It was obvious that our defence was weak even from the first whistle. We did our best to put some attacking pressure on them, but they were too brilliant with counters! They dazed us a million times with their counter attacks thanks to Aaron Lennon.
We didn't play with our best quality throughout the game, but your whole performance starts with your attitude and your pressure, how much you want to win, and they wanted it more than us in the first-half.

@Tornadoz

How much do you plan on paying? Please let me know, as I might be interested in the business if the pay is good enough.
I believe we are talking about a witchcraft competition, right?
Thank You!

Please guys, can someone tell me what happened to our defence yesterday? Were our boys tired? Had they eaten too much (not likely)? Was it just a case of bad luck? Or is our defence just generally useless?

If this is the defence we plan on using for the rest of the season, then we are asking for big trouble! Or do you think John Terry's come-back would bring back some semblance of sanity into that defence?
For once, I saw Jose Mourinho at a loss for ideas! huh I need an explanation pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!

OH S**t! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!  cry
I'll be sad to see him leave, as he has contributed a lot to our defence. Anyway, if we can get a few solid defenders for half his fee, then its all good!  undecided

The disciplinary actions have to come soon, as their offence was really ugly. To put it succinctly, they're in soup! grin

@BlackMamba Naaa. . . It's people like you that can't dance to save their hides that talk the way you do. Salsa is good for your body and mind.
It's especially good for ladies, as it can improve your fitness level. It gives you are sexier waist and mid-riff area and the leg movements can reward you with sexy legs.
Don't be deceived otherwise! cool

OH MY GOD! I had almost forgotten that Valencia has a big case to answer with UEFA! grin
By the time UEFA has finished dealing with them, half of their best players would have been suspended! grin
Oh my God! This is sweet! grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: 2007 Champions League Quarter Finals by Razorr(f): 3:19pm On Mar 09, 2007
Loyiks, I agree with you! No one has said otherwise! The scums would have their asses whooped!
We can't say much about the Chelsea game because the two sides haven't played b4. Like I said, it would be a tight game, but the team with more depth and hunger would win! KAPISH! grin

Sweety, everyone is just like Ashley! If any player is offered wealth and career advancement, he would take it except he's a big fool! tongue
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: 2007 Champions League Quarter Finals by Razorr(f): 3:05pm On Mar 09, 2007
Well that's not what they are saying! If you are in any way current, you would have heard that they are scared stiff!
Let me tell you something, we can't really predict what would happen on the field, as both sides have their strength and weaknesses! But one thing that is for sure is that the team with the higher moral and Psychological strength would triumph! And that would be Chelsea!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: 2007 Champions League Quarter Finals by Razorr(f): 2:55pm On Mar 09, 2007
You guys are making me laugh! You have forgotten that Chelsea would have a complete team by then! Terry would be back on his full feet! Even Joe Cole might be fit to play!
Drogba would be terrific! Mikel's game is improving! Sheva is not doing too bad, and so is Ballack! Diarra has been a sweetheart and Arjen Robben has been a God send!
And most importantly, Mourinho would give his boys some good pep talk!

Even Valentia's coach has admitted that the pairing is bad luck for them!
Don't get carried away, we would trash them! cheesy

Muki, abeg leave me alone, make I enjoy the moment jare! I can't wait for them to be sent out of the CL and for my boys to progress to the final!

Abeg leave my boyfriend alone o! What's all this hating on him sef? angry

Muki, trust me, you would detest Yankeepool with a passion, after they buy your Precious youngsters in the next transfer window! They are the ones with the cash now, so beware! tongue
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: 2007 Champions League Quarter Finals by Razorr(f): 2:11pm On Mar 09, 2007
The Man U and Yankeepool matches would be easy to predict. Man U would have their asses whooped! Yankeepool would beat PSV (most likely).
However, the Chelsea game might be a bit difficult to determine, as the two sides have never played before in a competitive match! However, if would turn out like the Porto match! Testy in the first leg, and then my boys would go for the kill in the second leg!

Write my words down!  cheesy

I think my boys would be in dangerous form that day! Valentia will see red, no sorry, they'll see blue! grin Drogba would have regained his full fitness by then, so we won't have any problems with finishing!

You are right, but as I'm beginning to hear now, "the fear of Alex is the beginning of wisdom"! If you don't believe it, just ask the gonners. grin
Is it possible for us to bring him back before a possible tie? tongue
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: 2007 Champions League Quarter Finals by Razorr(f): 12:50pm On Mar 09, 2007
Yea Loyika, we know that! We have the most difficult pairing. But I can assure you that the Valencians are shaking in their pants right now! grin
And when we win, we play PSV or Yankeepool! grin What a pair up!

Yea, Chelsea to meet Valentia!  undecided  I was hoping to meet PSV.  grin Too bad!  Its all good, we'll defeat Valentia. It was Ac Milan I was dreading.
Man U is in trouble o! Roma will turn their asses Red, black and blue!  grin

It's a good thing that English teams get to play other clubs though, it makes England's chances of lifting the cup more likely! And guess who would do the honours?  grin

Mukina sharrap there!  tongue

I fore-see Yankeepool generating more haters when they begin to lure your new boys with fat and juicy checks and leaving you guys dry.  grin
They would never overtake Chelsea in wealth though, as Abramovich is richer than Gillett and Hicks combined!

mukina2:
razorr nice to know you used your russian name on the title grin
Muki, I used the russian name because that is the way the press likes to depict the fact that a Russian billionaire bought an English club. I would be expecting a new name for Liverpool. I'm considering Yan-kee-pool! What d'you think?  grin
Sports › Re: Liverpool FC Bought By Businessmen (Like Chelsea) by Razorr(op): 11:48am On Mar 09, 2007
In retrospect, I would say I think this idea of business moguls buying up clubs is not such a bad idea afterall! At least, it would get some of the controversy off Chelsea's neck.  grin

I fore-see more clubs doing the same in the near future.
Like wormy says, Arsenal is next!  grin

Liverpool To Become The New Chelski?

Americans, George Gillett and Tom Hicks, have secured unconditional control of Liverpool after meeting the acceptance condition.

A statement to the Stock Exchange this morning confirmed the American pair yesterday "received valid acceptances in respect of 28,089 Liverpool shares, representing approximately 80.7% of Liverpool's issued share capital to which the offer relates".

The £470million takeover means work is expected to start on the new 60,000-seater Stanley Park imminently, with the pair holding meetings this week after witnessing the Reds' Champions League last-16 tie against Barcelona on Tuesday.

Does this make Liverpool the new Chelski? It is argued that Abramovich's involvement with Chelsea has distorted the football transfer market throughout Europe, as his wealth often allows the club to purchase players virtually at will (frequently at inflated prices).

What's your take on this development?
