PoliticsRe: Why Most Igbos Hate Nigeria - Expert Analysis by rdokoye: 12:49pm On Aug 05, 2021
SlyDev:
Igbo hatred for anything have started from the beginning of their race, they are alien to orderliness. You make think I'm harsh with words but let go down in history. Igbo have left nothing but mark of anger, bitterness and civil destruction.

1. Let us assume the story of edo is true, the people oranyan met in edo might be igbo, they were unorganised, hate each other and even hated their savior orayan. Orayan led a war and conquer them and breathed into them civilization and orderliness. The angry ones among them migrated further south into what we know as South East, the reason why oranyan named the place ile ibinu(land of anger and vexation)

2. Among the efik ibibio, this tribe were peaceful until they invited igbos in 15century, before you know it everything turn to chaos and igbos started planing coup against the king.

3. Up till now, they have not changed, they still remain hateful disorganised and ungrateful people.

For igbos to move forward in Nigeria, they need to orientate themscelves and correct their behaviour.
Then support Biafra so you orderly intelligent people can be rid of Igbos.

These guys are horrible specialists on own goals.

They actually think this asinine decision will have an effect on the Terrorist federal government? I pity the 45+million people in South East not seriously challenging these guys.

Simon Ekpo, Nnamdi Kanu, Emma Powerful and all the IPOB juggernauts should show us the businesses they’ve set up in the South East where they employ, at least, hundreds of Igbos on their payroll or this foolish lockdown will never happen.

You can’t be enjoying free food and immunity from Israel to UK, to Germany, to Kenya and to DSS cell and want millions of people to starve for you.

IPOB should start showing us how they’ve positively impacted on our Human Development Index in the East before we continue with some of the nonsense they’re proposing.

If don’t start asking questions now, The Communist Party of China will be a child’s play when compared to what IPOB is capable of doing.

Ndi be anyi si na, ana eji isi ahu ama uto nsi.
IPOB can't lock down the SE, only Igbo people can do that.

Whenever the issue of IPOB, Biafra and Igbo independence comes up, everyone on this forum, suddenly becomes a patriot. It's so funny.

Lol who will suffer most? Is it not your people? Very illogical people that keep using emotions instead of intellect, I supported them when ESN was used to curb the Fulani herdsmen menance, when KANU started instructing them to kill policemen and burn stations, which government in the whole world will let you destroy properties and kill people and not do anything about it? Kanu now went further to start issuing threats and kill order all over twitter and Facebook, and you expect them to not react? It's just like the head of boko haram that was recently killed and Bin laden, these ones were on video issuing killings and bombings, not once were they physically involved in any killing, were they not declared wanted for inciting violence and eventually killed? What is the difference between KANU and these ones?

You want secession, why not go about it peacefully instead of inciting violence? How will one man be insulting other tribes, threatening and issuing kill order, calling all Igbo women prostitutes, saying all who don't comply with the stay at home order should be dealt with, and you followers will obey like fools, Is it right? Don't you guys have brain to think? What is the difference between you Ipobs and terrorist group or most northerners that do follow follow like someone without sense? How can you people be blind that kanu goofed big time when he jumped bail and started inciting violence and kill orders as if he's untouchable cos he's in a foreign land, is he not suppose to mellow down for a while let the heat die down, be invincible till this stupid buhari's regime end, before he can start the agitation again? How come none of you think to reason like that? He has to answer for jumping bail, inciting violence and so many others, he will remain in jail and nothing will happen.
Nnamdi Kanu came out on numerous occasions and said he had nothing to do with the unknown gunmen, yet you people continue to parrot a different story. If he'd instructed them to burn down police stations and kill police officers, which makes absolutely no sense, given that such actions were/are counterproductive to his goals, why would he need to lie about it? He never hides his feelings about anything, irrespective of how it may be interpreted.

The topic is limited to the numbers of unemployed Nigerians in each State and no data on their villages was collated.
Then why isn't Kano, the most populated state there? Northern Nigeria is one of the poorest regions on earth, yet, everyone has a job? That doesn't make sense.

The Channels TV news you qouted was about the same NBS statistics but it was for Q2 2020( April-June,2020) and it was about UNDER-EMPLOYMENT which isn't exactly the same thing as unemployment.
Unemployment is highest where poverty is most prevalent.

Nigerian statistics aren't taken seriously by anyone, and that's for good reason. Too much politics in everything, even something like this, data, which should be used to better the lives of the populace, is used as a tool to belittle portions of the country.

So, supposedly, the most entrepreneurial people, Igbo people, are the most unemployed. That makes no sense whatsoever.

So what are all these people complaining about Igbo people and their wealth, all across Nigeria, threatening to steal Igbo homes and businesses, because according to these stats, such things do not exist.

When British came to Nigeria they found Hausa-Fulani with education system, they had their mode of writing, they were most literate, they had full leadership structure similar to what we've today, well organised society more advanced than others, then how do u expect them to hand over the leadership to people who were living in a disorganised society, settling among clans who didn't have common leadership nor had respect for Leadership?
Handover power to people who were mate naked, isolated from their neighbours?
Handover power to people who used to enslave and sell their fellow brothers to whites using a system of indentured servitude?
Handover power to people who were mate by British with no sense of ethnic identity?

You people don't realize that Fulanis have been in power since after they killed ironsi and remember Britain supported them to kill Igbos and I ask what gives Britain the right to choose for me? Who is Britain? Are they feeding me? What have they done for me? Did I choose for them in Britain? So what right does Britain have to choose for me, Igbos have been here before you joined us, we are Igbos and not what you named us, I don't just get it Britain, you know we Igbos and Yorubas are smart and you have us in your country, why do you keep on choosing the Fulanis over us, I don't get it, would it be Bad to deal with us directly?

Igbos and Fulanis are different people like water and oil we can never mix, don't you get it? Fulanis have a lot in common with someone from Egypt than someone from the Eastern part of Nigeria

Britain you have committed a lot of atrocities in Nigeria, remember how you destroyed the Benin Kingdom, I read about it, you stole as well, you killed us at Enugu, maybe you have always hated us, so stop pretending, but we must be free and you can't stop it, you already blinked first by offering asylum and you think by giving Kanu up to Nigeria and that would make us back down? Come of it we all know you gave him up and then you turn around and say you would defend him.

I wrote here asking what did the Fulanis offer the British, think about it, do you think Britain would withdraw the asylum for free? Nah Fulanis gave them something, I wish wiki leaks can reveal it, so Britain you can't choose for me you have tried it in many countries and it failed, we won't be together, we want our country and we already paid the price for it and look at the picture below from a hospital in Britain no Fulani

https://www.biafranboys.org/why-does-british-like-dealing-with
British colonial officers referred to Fulani as daft people, so it's obvious why they favour them over the other ethnic groups. They want to keep Nigeria and African people as a whole in perpetual bondage, and they can do that, as long as they continue to support elements within Africa that don't have their own self-interest at heart, such as Fulani people. Who, tend to be more interested in power for the sake of power, with very little capabilities to do anything effectual with it.

Unless one keeps deceiving himself, the North holds an unfair economic, political, educational and social advantage in this Nigeria, and only a referendum can correct it not even restructuring.

With the current advantage, they will manipulate any effort to bring balance just as they made a mess of PIB.

The imbalance has become so obvious now that it is very difficult to deny or defend even to our Governors who are still playing the Aso Rock script. Isn't that slavery?

Nnamdi Azikwe waited for the North to catch up educationally and developmentally before we got independence in 1960. Yet in 2021 we're still tolerating their inability to catch up after 60 years. I remember the words of a mentor: Everybody cannot be carried along.

SMH at this cursed and devilish union.

On Biafra I stand.
If you call cranking out halfwits an advantage, then yes. But in reality, all of this is growing into a future humanitarian disaster, not just for Nigeria, but for West Africa as a whole. As Northern Nigeria continues to graduate unqualified quacks, the end result is poor administration, increased poverty (as a result of its large population growth) and constant migration (individuals fleeing, as a result of banditry, herdsman and Boko Haram), all of these things are due to lack of and/or poor education. So I say again, if you call producing halfwits an advantage, then yes. But the truth is, the moment oil loses its relevance or if Nigeria breaks apart before that happens, someone is going to have to deal with the teeming poor in Northern Nigeria, 10s of millions of the poorest people on earth.

Mumu, grow some brains and think deeper. Government is where decisions that affect your life are made. You may create all the jobs you want, but with one evil policy by these backward janajaweeds that seized the government through the help of evil Britain, your so-called business will collapse. These are part of the reasons why we need Biafra because they made it impossible for any other group to attain the governance of their useless country without their consent and close guardian.
The so-called supporter of APC you speak of, did not seize the government, I recall, it was Tinubu that put Buhari in office. Tinubu is the one that created APC, he's the one that consolidated all the smaller political parties into APC, and he's the one that plucked Buhari out of RETIREMENT, and during the elections, it was the YORUBA vote that put him in office, not once, but TWICE; as any candidate (on top of scoring the most votes) needs to score at least 25% of the vote in at least three zones (North, North Central, South West) to win.

So why don't you use your brain. Wasn't the Nigerian economy being steered by Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, during Goodluck Jonathan's tenure (and for 5 years)? During which, Nigeria recorded 7% economic growth per annum, and was one of the fastest developing nations on earth. But that wasn't enough for a large portion of the Nigerian population, especially in those areas I've already highlighted, that's why they thrust this uneducated, nincompoop on the country, and I reiterate, not once, but TWICE. So I don't want to hear it.

If you have an education, then apply it, create a job for yourself. All developed economies are private sector led, any nation that relies on the public sector for employment is a undeveloped one. The North does not hold unyielding power over the rest of Nigeria, for the reason that I already explained. The only way the North can remain in power is if one of the Southern geopolitical zones, colludes with them to do so, as was the case with the Yoruba.

Now take a look at this: I know you may be an igbo man but I want you to put tribal sentiment aside an face some reality: would you agree with me that something must be wrong with the psyche of igbo people as a race?

I mean despite all the freedom and economic dominance igbos are enjoying all over Nigeria, for this same people to be shouting that they want freedom from Nigeria as if they were in slavery in the first place really says a lot about the state of the psyche of an igbo man.

What exactly do igbo people want? Well, I believe their insatiable greed and lust for economic and political power and dominance over every other tribe is what has been their undoing. Just my thought.
We want our own country, why is that so difficult for you to grasp?

This pedicament is akin to the analogy, the one eyed man within the mist of the blind, is king. Yea, Igbo people are doing better than everyone else (through our own hard work, I might add), but that doesn't negate the fact that Nigeria is a failed state.

Why should we be happy to exist in such a rundown nation simply because we're making a bit of money? Igbo people desire to live in a developed first world nation, that's what we want.

So it WAS a race attack and not an attack on ''culture''.

You have a way of twisting vileness into light, to suit your prejudices and agenda.

And it is intensely dumb to paint ''blacks'' as having a singular ''culture'' defining them all.
I didn't twist his words, I used my own words. He said what he said, I said what I said.

Africans don't have a singular culture, but they do have cultures with similarities. There are certain attributes that are pervasive amongst African cultures, like for example, our pungent for music.

Well, I don't agree with that comment, neither do I agree with the governments position on the issue. That said, I can show countless tweets, from Nnamdi Kanu, that I do agree with.

What the government is doing, is very dangerous. If they have intentions of imprisoning him, as you say, fine. But from my understanding, the charges they've placed on him, carry the death penalty. Nigeria doesn't appear to learn from its mistakes. Killing him, will not end the Biafra movement, it'd just make things worse.

A persons ability to reason is not innate, it's 100% nurture. So his statement is more an attack on the culture, not on the "supposed" race, peoples of Africa apparently belong to. And I'd have to concur, African culture, is very rigid, and uncompromising, which is a disservice to Africans as a whole. As it puts them at a disadvantage when lined up against other peoples of the world.

Dude, KANU IS A TERRORIST. Get that fact into your head.

It seems you do not read his Twitter posts where he orders his thugs to kill Nigerian law enforcement officers, and to kill Igbo civilians who violate his 'stay at home' orders.

Why would you support a guy like that who is CLEARLY not a democrat?

Does he strike you as someone who would submit to free and fair elections in a 'Biafra'?

Submit to constitutional authority?

I mean, come on dude. You're supposed to to be smarter than sticking up for Nnamdi Kanu.
I read his tweets all the time, I've never read the tweet you speak of. Do you have a screenshot of it?

There was a tweet (comment he made, during the Lagos rally), where he encouraged the masses to destroy public property, but he later came on live and apologized and retracted those comments.

Nnamdi Kanu is not a politician and thus, has no interest in running for elections in a new Biafra.

A terrorist is someone or a group that uses violence as a vehicle to achieve political means. So Boko Haram would be classified (and is) a terrorist group, as they are using violence to achieve their Islamic republic. Fulani Herdsmen are a terrorist group, because they too achieve their aims/goals through violent means.

But Nnamdi Kanu arranges sit and homes, and peaceful rallies, which is classified as civil disobediences and is the recommended and legal approach to political agitation. Hence the reason why IPOB is a legal entity all over the world.

You're position would have more validity if IPOB were actually recognised, globally, as a terrorist group. But that isn't the case.

Based on what conspired the last time he stood trial, it's fair to assume the government might try to assassinate him a second time. The other scenarios is more wishful, but strategic, at least, for the remainder of Buhari's tenure.

The protests in Lagos had/have nothing to do with Nnamdi, and it's the same with the UNKNOWN gunmen. "Unknown" being the operative word.

Kanu hasn't broken any laws, not in Nigeria or abroad. Since when was calling Nigeria a Zoo, a crime? Or lambasting politicians a sin? Or campaigning for a separate nation? The whole world has learnt from prior mistakes, that's why the UN Charter on indigenous rights for self determination was established.

Killing or arresting Kanu won't do anything, it won't stop the agitation, because the agitation is ideological, it's not physical. Nor will it make those Igbo's who are a part of the movement feel or want to be Nigerian. If Buhari was serious about dealing with this problem, he would have first, appointed a proportionate number of Igbo people into his cabinet. He would have been at the forefront of a constitutional amendment, and he would have treated everyone in Nigeria equally, that means, went after the bandits, Fulani herdsman and the REAL terrorists, that are killing THOUSANDS of people in the country. NO, it will NOT happen.

Nigeria will never allow you to do that.

Your leader is a criminal terrorist and has now been arrested, and will be tried for some very serious crimes indeed.

See, much as he likes to call this great nation a 'zoo', one thing he'll learn pretty quickly in jail is that this country has laws which he cannot wily-nilly violate, without legal consequences, especially when his offences are so heinous, and targeted against the federal govt and Nigeria's corporate existence.

His crimes are not such that he can be released by some new, sympathetic government. His crimes are so open, apparent, clear, visible, and obvious, that there seems to be no way out at all from jail for him in the next 20 years at least.

THE REASON WHY HIS ARREST SPELLS THE END OF THE BIAFRAN DREAM is that he can never be replaced.

Whoever replaces him is simply asking to be hunted down as a terrorist and arrested, tried and jailed, like Kanu, or worse, executed.

He would lack the advantage of living in far way Europe which Kanu had. This would make his apprehension quicker and more straightforward than his predecessor's.

I don't see any Igbo man who wants to put himself through that needless aggro, when he could be better of tending to his business and providing for his family.

So It is time for IPOB sympathisers to end this nonsense now, wake up, smell the coffee, and become Nigerians again.
This isn't the first time he's been arrested by the Nigerian government. If he's killed, he'll become a martyr and an inspiration for others to follow. Hundreds of Kanu's will spring up, soon after.

In Africa, they commit genocide, and brag about it, then show pictures of suffering human beings as a way of provoking those they committed such atrocities against. (1) Kanu will definitely not be given a fair trial, this man has tormented Buhari's government and the North so much that an extra-judicial type of trial will be conducted and Kanu will be executed.

(2) Kanu's arrest and possible execution will now bring out the IPOB/ESN militias in full force with possible collaboration with Ambazonians with the type of weaponry never seen or expected, it's going to be full fleged war that will be unleashed on security forces in the East with possible acts of sabotage in other parts of Nigeria, so many more soldiers and Police men in the East and so many people will die... Igbos prepare for more bloodshed and start coming back to the East to die for your ancestral land.

(3). If Kanu is killed, a more deadly leader with some military experience might merge and operate covertly, I fear a Shekau type situation now emerging in the East and the fanaticism now growing among the IPOB members will hit a scary level.

Mazi Kanu you fought for the cause to the best of your ability despite your flaws and mistakes... at least you did what no Igbo man has had the balls to do including your critics... but you were betrayed by your own leaders who sold you out. I fear this might be the end of Nnamdi Kanu, and I'm even more scared of what is to come.
What would fighting in the SE achieve? If that were to occur, the other ethnic groups, would just sit idly by and do nothing, like they did in the past. Then after the conflict, they'll run to the Church and pray for a better Nigeria that they are unwilling to make better with their own blood and sweat.

If Kanu dies, the person who comes in after Buhari will be in an almost impossible situation, when it comes to keeping Nigeria intact. Buhari has circumvented and violated Nigeria's laws on many occasions and he's gotten away with it, primarily because he has Northern Nigerians in all strategic positions of power, but when he steps down, Nigeria will return to a real nation, and they'll have to pick up the pieces, just like they did in 1999.

They'll have to manage the huge debt profile, the insecurity issue, the ethnic tension, the secessionists, the constitutional amendments, and the list is growing as each month Buhari remains in office, doing absolutely nothing but further dividing the country.

This is why nations need GOOD leaders and not former dictators, to thrive.

What you people need to understand is that the law of the Land the law of the Land amend the constitution pronounced kanu and his group a terrorist group and no countries of the world is going to act against the law of another country which is recognised by the United Nations so no way any country is going to rise even if kanu is being killed at the end they can only beg for a soft landing
ANC were also tagged a terrorist group by the Apartheid South African Government, this obviously the same thing. Tagging IPOB as a terrorist group is fascisms, that's what the whole world thinks, when they look at Nigeria. They're not considering any law(s) in Nigeria, because it's illegal to label secessionists at terrorist's. That's why the UN Charter was put together, to prevent incidents like that in the Balkans from ever occurring again, and Nigeria signed that UN Charter, so it's currently acting in direct contradiction to that agreement.

The same International law that failed to protect those Fulani houses that are been burned in the East, the same international law that allowed fools to kill cows and burned trailers, the same international law that allowed looting of people's property. That same international law will be applied to those who applied it to others
Fulani houseshuh You mean those straw huts in the bush? Constructed illegally, of course.

For me, Biafra was not about being Igbo, but more about who wants to exit Nigeria. Some people say it should be just about Igbos. However, if Biafra is about freedom, then it should be more about who want to free and less about ethnicity.

Thats why a referendum should be held. Those who vote to go, will become Biafrans, those who vote to stay will continue as Nigeria
Biafra is about Igbo because Igbo people are the ones fighting and dying for it. That's how life works, you get out what you put in. Ultimately, when it comes down to it, Igbo people will be the ones that will be allowed to go, the other groups, well...they haven't shown any real agitation for it, so the Nigerian state could easily ignore their wishes, knowing that they won't do anything about it anyway.

Nobody is holding Igbos from leaving Nigeria.. We have advised you people on different things to do.

Could you people save us the epistle and do as recommended above?
You people? We're all Nigerian, you dummy.

And if nobody was holding Igbo's back, Igbo people would have left Nigeria years ago. Even Sanusi Lamido Aminu Sanusi was honest enough to admit that the other groups have been forcing Igbo people to remain in Nigeria since the war.
