PoliticsRe: Can What's Left Of Nigeria Be Salvaged Without Igbo? by rdokoye: 7:45pm On Jun 21, 2021
Monogamy:
In this life heh, someone have to be very careful of what to wish for.

Nnamdi Azikwe bluntly rejected the secession clause in Nigeria constitution.. Today, the same clause has been holding his people for raansom...

How about the creation of SS region which was Initiated by Alex Ekwueme and Banjo when they were in prison.. When Ekwueme regained freedom and became VP, he used the opportunity to present the idea to Abacha.. Today, his people have been busy shouting our land , our land.

Nobody is holding Igbos from leaving Nigeria.. We have advised you people on different things to do.

If you can not lobby your reps and senators to present the secession bill in the house for discussion, then you can recall all SE political holders from Senators to house of reps member, to ministers. Oil money monthly allocation, be ready to say good bye to it, any Igbo that are not ready to relocate back to
SE would be treated as a foreigner until then, whatever you guys do can only be regarded as drama
The Nigerian constitution in use today was crafted in 1999, not 1960, so it's irrelevant, whether Zik agreed to having a succession clause or not. That said, Zik would have required a consensus for the clause to not be included, which means, all of the founding fathers agreed not to have it. The only reason why you're emphasizing Zik is because of the current Biafra movement.

The SS region is a political designation, with the sole purpose of giving the ethnic groups in that region a voice and political power. How can anyone be against that?

You guys and your oil money. Most of Nigeria's revenue is generated internally now, not from oil. Moreover, the Igbo states are private sector led, so leaving Nigeria wouldn't have as much of an impact on Igboland, as it would if Yorubaland was to break free, it being primarily a public sector led economy.

Biafra, like Ghana, Ivory Coast and Benin will be an ECOWAS country. If you guys want to confiscate businesses and properties belonging to Igbo people, simply because they're Igbo, then go ahead. But the ramifications will be catastrophic for your economy, not because of the value these businesses add to your economy, but because of how it will be perceived by the global community.

A lot of these Igbo people moved to other parts of Nigeria in the 70s and 80s, before the new Biafra movement, as a result many have assets in these places, homes, businesses. But these things can be sold, in time.

Your comparing a Chinese person being in a foreign country I.e Canada, USA, etc, to Nigerians living in Nigeria. An Igbo person living in Benin City is a Nigerian living in Nigeria. No different from a Chinese villager moving to Shangai or some other place in his/her own country.

Some of you guys are soo confused. You don't know whether you believe in Nigeria or not.

Igbo people have been toiling for decades for the sovereign state of Biafra. Yoruba people just started a couple of months ago, and think they can piggybank off the blood, sweat and tears of Igbos, but it doesn't work that way. There'll need to be consensus, for now, millions of Yoruba people are still against having their own country.

It's quite unfortunate that East is no longer safe.. This is my uncles car burning down to ashes...

He escaped the attack only by God's grace.. They abducted the person that was traveling with him..

He is never a police officer..
The problem is that he was driving with a car that looks like a police van

Hilux gone to ashes because of our quest for Biafra.. He left Delta for his hometown

A village in Anambra state
I pray @ biafra is actualized without more shedding of blood or wanton destruction of properties

Amen
Why is everything that goes on in the East so magnified. Kidnappings are going on EVERYWHERE in Nigeria. Fulani are killing people in the South-West. Riots and protects are going on in Yorubaland. In the Mid-Central 100s of people are being slaughtered, many people are now homeless. Boko Haram are still carrying out attacks across the North East. In other parts of the country you have banditry. There isn't a single place in Nigeria that is free of violence. THE ENTIRE DAMN country has collapsed. Igboland just happens to be part of Nigeria and so it will never be exempted from the anarchy unless it breaks away from the failed union.

I Dont support the north in anyway. but do you think the biafrans will have a fighting chance from their states. times have changed. the war then was based on the mantra "do not kill them if they surrender, they are our brothers"

the terrorist in Aso rock does not care about that value. it would be an extermination as the biafran states have the heaviest millitary concentration. this means even before the first shot is fired for war, innocent civilians would have been wiped out by the Nigeria army. and remember history shows that the cowards are very swift when fighting civilians.

Biafra will only win with extremely advanced weapons, not charms or will or heart, as these do not have protection against a semi automatic. get the damn weapons that would make the army peel their pants and you can talk about being ready. Also do you have control over the air. choppers, fighter jets... see lets forget it. biafra will lose. Aerial fight ends it all
If the Nigerian government proceeded to comic genocide against its own population it would be invaded as a matter of national security, as such actions would pose a threat to many countries throughout Africa, Europe and the Americas.

Anyway this is 2021, genocide is so 1960s, you saw how the world reacted to the Chibok girls, now multiple that by one million. You relinquish your sovereignty the moment you start kUllingswick your own population.

PoliticsRe: What Is Happening In South-east Nigeria? by rdokoye: 2:41pm On Jun 01, 2021
Same thing that is happening everywhere else in Nigeria. Insecurity is nationwide. There's rioting, killings, kidnappings and thuggery going on everywhere, from the South-West to the North, to North-Central to South-East to South-South.

People on this forum are just obsessed with Igbo people, which is why they will make a thread that goes 6 pages, on the burning of a hotel in Imo state, but a thread on 30 school children in the North being kidnapped won't go past page one.

Or another example would be the killing in Benue State, which barely made one page, so they changed it from Benue to Ebonyi, and it managed to go 6 pages, despite the article quite explicitly, stating that the attack happened in Benue State. The Igbo obsession on this website is very unhealthy.

How? The Nigerian government classified IPOB as a terrorist group for protesting peacefully.

Then they sent in the military who rounded up and killed unarmed civilians, after which they reiterated their stance on succession by stating that Nigeria's unity is non-negotiable.

That is, the participating ethnic groups in Nigeria have no say whether or not they want to be Nigerian nor is the government willing to restructure the country to make everyone happy. Essentially the government has positioned itself as an occupying force, just like the British or the Germans, when they came to Africa.

Annual GDP is how you measure a nation's economy, not foreign exchange receipts from the sale of oil.

Oil accounts for just 9% of Nigeria's annual GDP of 450 billion USD.

A far bigger contributor to our GDP is Agriculture, and the north is the epicentre of Agriculture in Nigeria.

So the north contributes FAR MORE than the south-east to the Nigerian economy.
Actually Nigeria runs a service (not agrarian) based economy, with services accounting for close 50% of GDP. Agriculture hovers around 20%. And we all know which ethnic group contributes the most to services in Nigeria.

If war breaks out in the East, Nigeria would 100% LOSE, no nation has ever survived two civil wars and Nigeria is no exception. A war with such a large and connected ethnic group like the Igbos would be IMPOSSIBLE to win. This isn't the 60s, they can't just walk into Igbo land and murder civilians with the entire world watching.

Don't cry for the Igbo. You can lend your voice to quicken the process , then watch the Igbo will survive. Why do non Igbo worry more about what happens to the Igbo after breakup than what happens to them?
He's not worrying about the wellbeing of Igbo people in a Post-Nigeria, he's trying to use fear as a reason why Nigeria should remain intact. Every ethnic group in Nigeria would do just fine without Nigeria. Yes, there are some benefits to Nigeria remaining one, but as of right now, they are far outweighed by the disadvantages, which are growing by the day.

That's why they should be ready to face the repercussions of not modifying the constitution which is the frustration and anger on those whom the constitution does not favour. And that's what's being experienced in the south right now. Everyone is angry. Everyone wants to break from the country.
Technically, Nigeria doesn't have a constitution. For it wasn't devised, written up or agreed upon by the people who make up the country.

A real constitution, could, in theory, be the solution to the nations problems, as all members, ethnic groups, clans etc, will have a say of how they wish to be governed.

Its a pity you didn't get the memo when I said Africans are not imaginative, our people, they have a small mind, more like a pre-teen.

The concept of time is too much for them to grasp, 1year more? when they can't even think through today. 4/8 year tenure to a black man could just be another word for eternity.

Why do you think we have failed woefully in planning? Because planning takes time it requires patience, commitment, foresight, objectivity and action. In all this, a black man only knows action.
That is why Our People are good for labour, like building fence( Benin Empire)
I guess nothing you wrote applies to you, because your the exception, right? The expediency is due to the constant clashes, killings and insecurity.
PoliticsRe: UK To Grant Asylum To ‘persecuted’ IPOB, MASSOB Members by rdokoye: 11:06am On Apr 21, 2021
ScamHunter:
Choosing Biafra has a lot of disadvantages to the British, mainly because they'd be dealing with people who have similitude of objectivity and a lot at stake. A trade by barter with Fulani is a much better deal: Fulani needs a homeland, give them Nigeria in exchange for the massive gas reserves and oil. Dealing with Biafrans means buying everything at current market price. Why do you think these people ganged up against Jonathan? That was a president from the oil producing area who was a clog in the wheel of "business as usual". Do really think that under normal circumstances, that without western influence, that the Fulani had what it took to oust Mr Jonathan? A fact of neo-colonialism is that no leader that has the interest of Africans at heart ever gets the backing of the West. From Congo to Burkina Faso, Mozambique to Angola, it is the same theme occasioned by the whiteman's greed with the consequence being the shedding of the blackman's blood.
Goodluck wasn't removed by the West? He was removed by the opposition, comprised primarily of disgruntled ex-PDP members.

A stable and economically viable Nigeria is in the UKs best interest, as it makes Great Britain more relevant on the international scene. How does Britain benefit from Nigeria becoming another Niger?

Oil is a fast dying commodity, which by 2030 will have very little value, as the sale of gas-powered vehicles will be banned in the UK and across Europe by then.

Thus, the objective has changed. A broken and dysfunctional Nigeria means Britain and other English-speaking nations having to pick up the pieces, nobody wants that, just as nobody wants the Fulani, they've past their usefulness.
PoliticsRe: UK To Grant Asylum To ‘persecuted’ IPOB, MASSOB Members by rdokoye: 11:13pm On Apr 20, 2021
ScamHunter:
That's where you're wrong. Nigeria is a British business enterprise and as long as there's free oil and gas, they want the country as one so that the gullible Fulani would keep wasting the resources to the advantage of the British. As in sending British forces against Biafra, they may not do it directly since the whiteman wouldn't want to die for Black cause even a black economic cause. They'd rather give Nigeria weapons and training as they did in the 60s. The bad news for them is that the next war won't be a territorial one by asymmetric. So people must die and badly on both sides until they tire. And they must tire and come back to the negotiating table which is still Biafra. We do not pray for war, but if you look at IPOB body language, you'd understand that they have had enough of military intimidation. To them it is now kill and be killed as far as Nigerian security forces are concerned. A bad state of things for people in this country.
Great Britain will do whatever is in the best interest of Great Britain, and a collapsed Nigerian state doesn't serve anyone. That said, Nigeria's collapse is inevitable, or so it seems, which means, the British government needs to start thinking about sides. Choosing to side with Biafra is a no-brainer, as the North has nothing to offer. Northern Nigeria is just an overpopulated Niger.
