The quantum of outbursts and condemnation of your arty writing prowess is shocking. I love to read your posts and will definitely love to read more. You deliver your opinions differently which is worthy of commendation. Despite the apt comparison of your style with Kongi's by a critic, I think you still got your own unique swag. Fellow Nlanders requested we allow the thread flow in tandem with the humour at inception. Who am I to disregard this call? Please note that there is time for everything under the sun (Eclesiastes 3 vs 1 -3) . Efforts to disparage or sneer at you due to your paucities have been discontinued as promised in my last post to you. Spend time reading my previous posts over and over again with emphasis on the advices given to you until you eschew all vituperations and peace is bestowed upon your soul. If you do not find a lasting solution by doing this, you may engage in community service (road sweeping, drain cleaning, bush clearing and traffic control) until when you will be gainfully employed. This will be highly appreciated by all within your settlement.

For further mentoring, do not hesitate to forward your post. If i tarry, it will be due to exigencies at work. I have a presentation to wow the board of directors of our newly approved partnership project. I will be working productively. Do wish me luck. Regards,

Without support for the inhumane treatment meted to these LASTMA officials by the unruly officers, I sincerely can't help but laugh a bit.
These LASTMA guys bin show me small 4 Lagos oooooo. There was a particular day a year ago I visited a land where construction works were to commence in Sabo Yaba area. I clarified with the traffic warden to park in line with other cars by the Market. I spent 10 minutes at the site and was consoling the head squatter who saw me off to the road promising to discuss his plight for possible relocation with the client. I glanced across the road and to my utmost surprise, my car was gone. I nearly ran mad. I crossed the road with no regard for oncoming vehicles on the ever busy commercial avenue. I searched the gutter. I almost ran mad. Everyone went about business as usual. My head rang in mixed tunes.

I enquired from the traffic warden (who i eventually sensed was working for them) and he had no explanations to my plight. I concluded my car had been stolen. My world came to a stand still. I just returned to the country a day before from my vacation and a day after, my car gone. Chei.

I jogged towards the Sabo busstop. Lo and behold, my car was aboard a beautifully decorated LASTMA truck, well parked. I almost danced for joy. I immediately spoke with the driver of the truck who directed me to the officer in charge of the task force. I explained to him in graphic details how i was led to park with other vehicles by the traffic warden. He said i shouldn't worry that he would consider my case. He asked I go into my car. I graciously and thankfully climb the truck into my car. We drove through the busy Ebutte Meta. There were two of those beautiful trucks for beautiful expensive cars and other towing vans for less expensive cars.

I expected we will park somewhere to discuss and have my car released from the altitude. To my chagrin we were whisked to their office in Ijora. There was a beehive of activities. The place looked like a car dealership center manned by substandard unformed men. I maintained my respectful and commendable attitude by pleading further with the officer who asked i relax.  

In ten minutes, a roll call was taken and fines were handed over to each of us. I was asked to pay N60,000. I bin crase immediately. This was on a Monday between 4pm and 6pm. I regained possession of my car on Thursday, three days after. The payment of the fine and events that led to the release of my car is a gist for another day.

That was my second experience with these men. I have fallen victim to their whims a couple of times after then. Today I know better. I have vowed to show them if they ever cross my path. They are also known to molest Okada men in Alausa area. I believe they should play advisory roles to diffuse traffic congestion other than castigatory roles to extort money from tax payers.

Acceptance that 'your conclusion was in error' - unstable character, inconsistent, does not think before he speaks, signs of weakness, etc
'Since you have nothing to do' - jobless, unserious, idle mind, the devil's workshop etc

Thanks for commending my post. It is a cheap way to convince me that you are not dumb and your brain has commenced work.  Lest I forget, you need not proffer excuses for your demeaning posts on the other thread. It is also inappropriate for you to refer to your supposedly well composed posts on NL as falsehoods. Henceforth Nlanders will cease to take your posts seriously. I stumbled on a thread of yours while surfing through the sections of this beloved forum and I immediately identified the reason why your capacity to understand is limited. Incessant abuse of your body organs will result in continuous fatigue of the brain. I concur with your conclusions that I definitely cannot recognize what I am doing wrong and the reason is you have failed to honour my request. Barring vituperations from co-nairalanders, kindly HIGHLIGHT words for clarifications or synonyms. Until then you will only but see mistakes. A perfect example is a man with a blurred vision.

Kindly define clarity? The fonts used were not maligned nor misconstrued for effective understanding as a simple piece of written english. I am provoked by your libellous/vilifying jabs and aspersions at the person of Jakumo. If you choose to write in basic english language, so be it. Whilst we were growing up in our formative years in secondary school, i remember vividly we were encouraged to imbibe a reading culture with a nerve and alertness to identify new words and their meanings.

The quality of written english in your posts are alarming. I will suggest you download Jakumo's posts with due permission from the moderator or administrator to up your skills.

To clarify your misinformed understanding of the term communication, please note that like begets like. Visit up country settlements be it in the north, south, west or east, you will find out that many so called scholars who passed through the tiers of education in our beloved country may still not understand your proposed basic english. It is certain the pastor made astonomical sense with those comments relating to incessecant policy summersault. 
Seriously speaking, the super eagles had a dismal outing and in less than a week, d FG places a ban without recour and due consultation with appropriate quarters. That i will say is an irresponsible move. A reprisal response was received from the world governing body with stern instructions to the FG to recall the ban. With feeble reasoning and shaky legs without clarifying intent in details with Fifa, d FG within a week again lifts d ban. It shows only a thing: Inexperience.

I totally aint in support of d use of d word ban. Instead, the committee should have prepared a report with the following headings:

Post mortem report on South Africa 2010
Review of dismal outings in d past
Reoccuring factors responsible for failures
Review of processes adopted by success driven team especially emerging countries
Risk analysis (identification, likelihood, probability, quantitative & qualitative effects, trigger events, mitigating plans and response strategy)
Statutory requirements
Timelines & Schedule
Recommendations & way forward

My candid opinion.

It is thought provoking when some people loose their conscience to a propaganda targeted at tearing apart a once in our life time structure.

For the few decades i have been opportuned to live in Lagos, I have never seen such an immense level of infrstructural development as witnessed since Fashola took over. Even his detractors acknowledged this fact. Thus why are they distracting him with all the allegations and petitions? I am not aversed to raising queries on the procurement method deployed to engage contractors but then considering the appreciable pace of infrastructural changes I am comfortable to say the awards are in order. For example, these contractors work day and night to fix our roads. We wake up to see gulleys fixed. There are still a number of outstanding roads to be fixed but then we have hope because we have evidential proof that someone is thinking. Then who cares if it is only one man that these jobs have been awarded to? As long as the rates in his contract BoQ are in tandem with the prevailing market rates and are competitive with other tenderers then there have been no breach in awarding multiple contracts to the company he (Tunji Olowolafe) represents if there will be ease of management and assurance of qualitative delivery as per project deliverables and scope.

For the records, take it or leave it, Lagos State is a pioneer state for excellence. Only a matter of time and things will be knocked back to shape. I implore us all to support BRF. He may have his flaws and paucities but then we should not use a big stick when all he needs is a stroke of the cain if confirmed wanting. I will seek that the "concerned faceless people" of Lagos State search their hearts and ask themselves where they were when other governments were in power mopping up funds without resistance. History will never and ever forgive them if all the noise was sponsored by some autocratic, ego driven and power drunk merchants unwilling to let go . We want Lagos to work.

You have been a great source of inspiration and that led to mai purchasing an Audi A4 2003/04 3.0 V6 engine model a year ago.

Its a diesel engine and i purchased it at 33,000KM. It was an excellent drive until it started showing all manners of signs.

The parts are pweety expensive and unavailable. I have had to change rollers and replace AC compressor and sitting. I have changed alternator twice. D sound has increased though reduced now since i started using another range of diesel oil. But d sound wasnt noticeable wen i initially bought it.

Many have said the air flow meter and brain box need be changed. The car gives speed signal error when diagnosed, heater signs, break sign, ABS sign and brain box sign on the dash board.

I love d car to a fault. It gives a different feel from oda cars i presently drive or have driven in d past.

Is it possible to get a petrol engine to replace the diesel engine? hw advisable is dat? Diesel parts ere are very scarce?

There is no basis for comparing the two cars.

The Audi is quite more expensive than the Baby boi.

In terms of drive and pride, d Audi is flawless.

But hey, yu gt to have fat purse to purchase one. Do not attempt a diesel engine on Naija soil.

I own same color and spec as d above A4 picture Diesel engine and i can inform reliably that you dont want to be caught in d maintenance mess and unavailability of parts.

Anyways, I will always love the A4.

i totally disagree irrespective of the US intentions and agenda to meet with IBB ' A glaring architect and prime designer/consultant of our degrading ego and machinist of our woes'. Instead of considering commencing trials against the attrocities committed by this man, they chose to pat his back with recognitions and adulations by this singular act. Two wrongs will never lead to a right.

Is IBB d only man in Nigeria? When will we wake up as Nigerians against cowardy utterances and cheapening acts? Have d US in all of their wisdom critically and strategically considered d plights and emotions of Nigeria? NO.

We must rise and oppose this move if confirmed true. A woman singularly rose against d misdeeds of her cohorts (despite dining nd wining with them at our expense wen d going was good). Her actions caused ripple effects that evolved in2 a positive solution putting an end to the lingering debacle of who should lead d helms of affairs. It might be a face saving exercise, but it worked.

I believe IBB is vast with years of experience but what difference will his evil training and wealth of dictatorship do to us as Nigerians. How much of experience and exposure did Obama have for us all to stand by him during d last US elections?

It is high tym w dictate d pace. It is high tym w agreed to do away with dese men of wickedness. Visit d barbeach or obalende late in d night. Humans sleep in d open with no covering. Many die daily from mishaps and cheap diseases due to inadequate presence of medical resources. Our best hands flee abroad 2 serve other nationals diligently and progressively. We queue for petroleum resources that abound in our polity. Lives are lost due to extreme illiteratecy of mynd by certain supposed litterate morons in power.

I believe we should give Jonathan a chance. His attainment of d status as d head today, is divine and I believe God in His infinite wisdom will guide him in d right direction. We deserve d best. We will get d best.

Let us rid our country of dese polluted bunch. If IBB has repented, he should spend the rest of his live on earth to apoologise to Nigerians and restitute all d ills, pain and ridicule he has caused us all.

Nigeria is not a proactive but reactive entity. What is the noise about MTN relocating? Why are we not carrying out a review technique analysis as to why all these multinationals are relocating? Instead we are considering sanctions and counter unproductive actions. If I may ask, was a contract or agreement signed with MTN prior to commencement of operations in Nigeria? If yes, has the contract been breached? If no then there is a call for sober reflections.

As earlier stated in the course of the thread by fellow NLs, there will be a significant leap in the socio-economic climate of Ghana. More jobs, infrastructural growth and development are ripple effects of this good news.

It was earlier mentioned that MTN makes astronomical profit which is directly proportional to the astronomical cost of operations. If i may ask, what of the astronomical fixed costs which are basic irrespective of location? what of the high percentage that must be set aside for kickbacks, supposed goodwill, bribe and egunje? what of the negative and adverse effect of delays on Building Planning approval on the overall objective and profit?

I congratulate Ghana and I concur with the Corporate Service Executive that MTN moved because of a conducive business environment. It shows some African countries have a resounding legislature as opposed to our thieving, wicked ritualists called politicians.

Its unbelievable that a Patriotic Nigerian will swiftly and proudly condemn over 450,000 members of the populace who are NL members as with diminutive or no intellectual character thus " little intellectual debate".

I disagree completely with the contents of your email and i am aversed to believe it was solely to correct the writer that nairaland.com is not a news service. Your email sadly belittles the success worthy of adulation that every active member has put into this forum. We are all aware that there are jokers and unserious minds on the forum cluttering d forum with garbage but this does not suffice to say and confirm that we all come here to play.

Any sane minded person can distinguish between a correct piece of news and a wrong misleading news piece. I am yet to see any forum in Nigeria or Sub Saharan Africa with as much participation as NL.

I believe you could have warned and conveyed the message to Toronto Star citing the fact that NL is a public forum/discuss with freedom of speech where vibrant Nigerians air their views without the fear of intimidation and there could be a certain margin of error on posts/threads with no reference /link to an authoritative source.

I will always be proud of NL especially the insightful posts in the politics section. I need not mention names but I will implore all the brilliant and intelligent posters to keep up the good work. We will continue to contribute our quota to sanitising the ills of our nation. Someday our voices will be heard.

I saw d smiling older picture yesterday on NL and believed it was d face of d would be bomber.
Today, I saw 2 pictures of d guy as a teenager on the cover page of thisday newspaper and i obviously disagreed that d old nd new pictures were same persons. There was no iota of resemblance. The facial features differed in all elements of configuration.
Reading through the sun newpapers today, i saw same picture i saw on NL yesterday as d face of d bomber. Hw did they verify d picture?
Now d guardian has been adjudged to be guilty of same misleading information.

Nigerian newspapers ought to carry out proper investigations and validation of stories before publishing.
Most of their reporters and supposed investigative journalists rely on NL and other related forums for information which they blindly publish.
NL jokers who specialize in perpetrating such nonsense should desist from this act and stop giving us a bad name.

I drive d same specs A4 2005 V6 3.0 litres diesel engine.

It is one of d best cars i have driven bt as mentioned in your post, unavailability of parts, the engine configuration, electrical faults and dearth of good mechanics/technicians have made it frustrating to enjoy d ride as much as i would have loved to.

For example, i dropped d car at the workshop yesterday due to a cank sound when d steering turns. The mechanic had changed d arm before realising it was d engine seating that was broken. After all done, he returned d car with an irritating humming sound dat gets louder when yu rev higher. My brain box has been tampered with times without number without my knowledge.

If it is a petrol engine, i will advise you seek advise from Audi Place on Akin Adeshola before purchase. Mine was rejected being a diesel engine.

Kindly propose a good mechanic who is trustworthy, experienced and vast in caar diesel engines. My car needs a rebirth.

I experienced same despicable treatment yesterday.
I became a regular customer of this thieving attendants after it was referred by one of our domestic staff as being the best within the area.
Of recent i noticed i paid more and got less.

Yesterday, i made it a point of duty to compute the permutations myself. To my amazement, i was charged N7100 for 64 litres of diesel at N105. I was confused. My car runs on diesel.

I went berserk. I did the calculations and arrived at N6,720 thus a difference of N400 (which translate to personal gains for the attendant). This occured before 7am in the morning. Therefore imagine the wealth that these attendants accumulate from fraudulent practices. Before the close of business the said attendant will be raking within N5,000 - N10,000 or more daily. His salary obviously wont be above more than N25,000.

The attendant profusely condemned the dispenser's meter reading confirmimg that the price was right. I called one of the attendants who knows my face as a regular caller to intervene. He immediately signaled the erring attendant to refund the difference thus a joint act.

Hmmmmm, corruption is deeply rooted in our blood as Nigerians. God help us.

Its a V6 3.0 litre engine
it runs on diesel  .

All i can say is the experience is extremely wonderful.
My honda has gone on long break.
The car is extra intelligent with a good drive.

Anyways, Siena with the specs i ve stated above,
do yu ve any advice, suggestion or comments to make this experience a lasting one
yur interest and reviews on Audis' prompted/encouraged me to purchase this road bird.

Lets i forget, its fully equipped with DVD screens at the back and a large display infront.
Factory tints on all sides.
