The ex Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria and now the present Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has revealed his plans of banning polygamy.

According to the Emir, he alleged that polygamy has a connection with poverty and terrorism. He said further that Muslims marry more than one wife because they are allowed to and end up taking 4 wives who might in turn produce 20 children that would not be trained through education and some will turn out to be terrorists. Read what he wrote below:

Those of us in the [mainly Muslim] north have all seen the economic consequences of men who are not capable of maintaining one wife, marrying four. They end up producing 20 children, not educating them, leaving them on the streets, and they end up as thugs and terrorists”

he said.
The Emir also noted that this new Law will make domestic violence illegal amongst other things. He said:

“The law will address what Islam says on marriage, it will outlaw forced marriages, it will make domestic violence illegal, it will put in conditions that you need to fulfil before you can marry a second wife, it will spell out the responsibilities of a father beyond producing a child.

It is a big law which covers a whole range of issues from consent to marriage, to maintenance to divorce, to maintenance of children and inheritance. It will be the first time in northern Nigeria that a Muslim law on personal status will be codified.”

Nigerian Fire fighter service needs restructuring as a matter of urgency. I cannot begin to count how many fire incidence occured last year with little or no avertion by the Agency. The number is matching that of last year already and the year is just begining. We cannot continue like this, Senate needs to bring this up in their sessions.

The only love that is permanent is AGAPE because it is eternal. Love is not emotions, love is an act of the will, AGAPE is an act of the will.

As a matter of fact, love is a choice, because you will always meet other people that are richer, more intelligent, taller, darker and cuter than your spouse, when you get married, people don’t vanish. you will always meet a guy who is ready to give you anything, and he likes you, and he says the things you want to hear- what are you going to do?

And for the guys, you will always meet women who are more endowed, more beautiful and more sexually available, and they may even make advances at you, what are you going to do? All you have is a choice… that is what love is, You have to keep your choice. When you get married, the only thing that keeps you married is your decision and that’s all. Feelings don’t keep you, ring don’t keep you, sex or any other thing don’t keep you in marriage but choice. You have to understand that.

Reuben Abati (SaharaReporters)
In a bid to meet his bail condition, a fund-raising campaign has reportedly been raised for Reuben Abati.
According to reports, Abati allegedly collected N50m from the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.

The former media aide of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, was later granted bail on October 28, 2016.

Abati is still in the custody of the EFCC because he has not been able to meet the anti-graft agency’s bail condition, Premium Times reports.

Reports say Ettu Mohammed, on Sunday, October 30, 2016, opened a fund-raising campaign on Gofundme (an online fundraising platform).

According to Premium Times, Mohammed said “Reuben Abati the spokesman of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan is under lock and key for voluntarily collecting the sum of 50m Naira from Sambo Dasuki.

“We believe he must have been under the influence of Aso Rock evil spirit.”

“We are begging Nigerians to save Reuben Abati from detention.

“Two weeks ago, he said there were evil spirits in Aso Rock but he was running around for Goodluck Jonathan to return so that he could continue working on the same place infested by evil spirits," he added.

Further investigation on the fund raising platform did not reveal any account related to Reuben Abati or Ettu Mohammed.
