u will not get a hotel in PH for that amount of money. u want AC, BACK UP GEN AND RUNNING WATER AND UR BUDGET IS 2-3.5K - THAT IS JUST TOO FUNNY |
debosky:THANK YOU at least some one talking sense |
Ebonyeyes:i agree - MAC all the way for me. but thanks for the big up for the PH stores - i will be there in the new year and need that kind of info. |
please not all illegal immigrants are paying tax number one. second (please i'm not refering to nigerians here as i have somalians and some eastern europeans in mind) a lot of british tax payers are getting fed up of paying for people both british and non-british sitting at home pumping out kids and getting benefits. i know this is not a nice comment to make and everyone's situation is different but come on now - we all complain about how much tax we all pay but after watching some ITV programme about people living on the breadline but they all had flat screen TV's and computers i thought to myself these people are not poor and then one idiot had the audacity to say the level of poverty on the estates was like a 3rd world country - i was like WTF - i don't know how many people in my village back home that have 42 inch LCD TVs and laptops, anyway I think this government have really messed up the immigration system - i mean how the hell can someone be in a country illegally and still claim child benefit for their kids - that is just confusing. anyway b4 someone starts labelling me a member of the BNP let me go from here. but a note - some of these hospitals have bills of over the £1million from people who have come for treatment (from all over the world) and fled without paying - now when i can't get an appointment at my GP and i'm having to wait for a hosiptal appointment for something serious cos of costs I DO GET ANNOYED - but then again the NHS should manage their budgets a whole lot better than they do now. |
who ever says that this is not fishy is living in a dream world - so he didn't see any 60 year old in nigeria? please once he gets his stay he will divorce her or maybe even kill her off to get her inhertance and then bring his naija girlfriend over to the US. |
i haven't been thru all 3 pages but the one about debt is funny, so the number of nigerians that have bad credit in the west don't do debt abi, puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrlease fear of good - i guess some people have already discussed that. child witches, abhorrent widow practices, adundance of adultary, ritual killing (only in naija will this be a fear of mine) and i guess all the kidnappers go to church every sunday as well. if people appreciate poverty why do the girls back home engage in prostitution. i have been blessed to experience uni life in nigeria and the UK and i have to say the number of aristos in naija compared to here are second to none. poster -you shouldn't have started this topic |
tegasgirl:so someone lives in a nice area they are a snob? look if you are not used to inner city life you will never find these area mentioned above nice to live in or visit - just cos something is a stones throw a way from the west end and property prices are high does not make it a very nice area to live in. I mean i know a number of people who have lived in south london or london for that matter but once they reach the stage where they have kids they move out to essex, hertfordshire, berkshire, bucks kent and the like. to be honest there are a number of places one can get naija food and black hair products around london so why people feel that they can only feel like they are close to home in these type of places is beyond me - when i feel like home i jump on a plane and go home, failing that i have a good sense of who i am and where i come from that i don't need to live near a shop that sells bush meat to feel nigerian, trust me working around oyinbo people everyday reminds me i'm nigerian |
first of all the way some of you people are referring to Pakistani people is highly offensive. ayomidej:the reason the property prices are so high is cos of the transport links and its in london - a house being £450k does not mean the area is populated by russian billionaire and footballers - the houses are simply expensive - go outside london with that same 450k and see the kind of property u can get. anyway people that live in south london love south and vis versa north londoners. to be honest the video is a BNP video and like someone said here earlier has larger repercussions than us arguing whether its a dump and u can get bush meat from there - thats not the bigger picture. |
lmao |
wow - this topic again. anyone would think that these men don't have mothers and sisters. |
omar22:i don't know IF ANYONE lives on oxford street i thought it was just for shops. my bad if i'm wrong. anyway don't even like oxford street. too many people |
wait hold on - does it mean u guys don't eat any other type of food apart from naija food - na wah o, what is the point in living in such cosmopolitan city and only experience Nigerian food. there is so much out there that tastes sooooooooooooooooooooooo good. |
to answer ur statement - yes i was gloating a bit. whenever i go back home - people love telling me about their London trips and they have family in London blah blah blah - when they are naming these run down places i do laugh cos i nod in agreement that these places exist in London but the people around us that don't know these places think that peckham na Chelsea, brixton na st johns wood - i mean there is gettho lagos and their is lekki and vgc lagos. if someone is going to play big boy they need to understand that not all off us will keep quiet about it - or is it the one that told me her fathers house is on oxford street!!!!!!!!! so i shouldn't point out that this is highly unlikely. ok - so that people who are living on council estates don't feel too bad anymore i'll put down 18th floor council rat infested flat in elephant and castle to make u all feel better as my profile location - man this forum can be headache sometimes - even on the internet one can't be themselves |
wow so now i can't have an opinion - peckham is a gettho - over and out. if i have been blessed enough to not live in bad area and grew up in suburbs what is ur issue. na wah o - if i said i grew up on te 24th floor in brixton then i will no longer be an empty vessel abi. i'm not going to apologise for having a nice enough life |
vanitty:what is ur problem |
gbolo2001:wait so when my friend that lives in lagos comes to visit me here and TELLS ME THAT THEY HAD TO PAY PCHN TO RESTORE ELECTRICITY IS NOT NEWS FROM THE HORSES MOUTH - get real my friend I have been fortunate to travel to nigeria 5 times this year and know exactly what is going on. do you knw that some of us abraod even hear news b4 u guys in nigeria so what are u talking about. instead of attacking people who live outside nigeria use ur energy to talk about making things better in nigeria. i mean honestly do you feel good that there are people so poor they can't buy drugs to treat basic illness, very very sad, do u feel good that students where at home for 4 months due to strike, trust me i love nigeria and everything but honesty is the best policy |
please people defending peckham as if its the best thing since sliced bread get real, it is a dump - u can dash me that £350K+ house fully paid for and buy me a jeep and put outside the house - nothing in this world would make me move there. what about the crime rates there or what peckham no longer has a gang problem and now i'm reading stories of increased incidents of gang rapes. get real - yes those of us that live outside these areas find it a pain sometimes when we can't buy our food locally but what the hell in a car for. na wah o - i know where i can go to get my naija food and go home in peace and sleep well at night. |
i have a list of things that affect the everyday man and woman in Nigeria that I want those who think Nigeria is heaven on earth to please explain why in the year 2010 (cos we ar almost there) we rank so low in providing for citizens oh and by the way it is the governments responsibility to provide basic infrastructure for its citizens. Health care Education Electricity Water Employment opportunities Law and order Good governance Security Human rights Welfare provision for the very vulnerable in society this is not a naija bashing session just what can we do to improve things - i grew up in the UK but if nigeria sorted itself out I would be on the first plane back asap . |
some of us live in some very nice places i for one grew up in the suburbs of north london and now live outside london so please if the nigerians u know live in dumps don't think we all do. none of my friends live in these kind of areas so abeg lets keep things real here |
Eziachi:JESUS IS WEEPING abeg don't make me drop this laptop from laughing too hard. What i find so funny is when people are talking about good roads in lagos, street lights and people have generators and buy their own water. wake up - water and electricity are basic things that a government should provide - in this country it is illegal the water company to turn your water cos water is a basic human right, in that same Nigeria still think its ok to rape a woman if she is outside her home alone after 8pm. its ok for the police to beat ordinary people if they don't move out of their way quick enough. the same people here complaining about us abroad are the same ones that go to shoprite and buy foreign products (that are even not as good as the ones they sell here - yes the last cream i used back home was so watery i almost mixed it with wine to make a white wine creamy spritzer nonsense i have said it many times b4 - stop the envy and discuss ways to improve on the country - i think its a big disgrace that women in Nigeriall die in child birth in droves. u people complaining are probably the same ones that have your kids abroad and come here jealousing others. the average Nigerianes average not the ones living in lekki and VI and PH and Abuja - the average Nigeriannot even afford to eat three times a day. security, water, electricity law and order, education, social mobility, welfare for orphans and widows is non existent u want to come here and say naija is greatest place on earth - lets not forget all the people that spend hours in church only to commit the worst sins outside church as if God is sleeping. |
yes that is peckham and it is a ghetto, only reason i would see this place is if I'm passing in my car. there are so many run down parts of London (why most are concentrated in south London is beyond me) that i laugh when people back home are narrating their London trip stories to me and mention places like, elephant and castle, brixton, thornton heath (not croydon) peckham, lewisham, new cross, old kent road, thamesmead and the list continues. there are some places in this London that makes me wonder what any right minded Nigerian would leave a very good JOB in Nigeria and live in any of these places - and if u do live in the above mentioned place and show off during your naija trips - shame on u - LOL AND YES I KNOW THE VIDEO IS A BNP VIDEO |
stay there i didn't say that is what i believe but trust me - that is how things are around the world. |
u guys are fighting over what is white and what is not - my friends be it Spain Greece England germany Italy Sweden - u are still black to them and they will show u that u are when they enter their country in the hieracy of the races they are way above you my friends so if ur killing ur selves over ur eastern European babes please go to their countries and see how long u last there. by the way this is starting to get off topic. |
paddy_lo:THANK YOU - YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE IN LIFE - I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF 1 PANT IN 3 DAYS OR WATEVER UR TALKING ABOUT. THE NIGERIAN WOMEN I KNOW HAVE CLASS (I know that is a word not in ur present vocab) upgrade yourself my friend and stop being so bitter just cos the women in ur family are like this stop assuming we are all like this. |
u men out there keep bad mouthing your mothers - abeg carry on u faceless buffons - so nigerian women don't bath eh - have u ignorat bushmen that have never smelt jet fuel smelt an oyinbo person that has not bathed for a while - in my office this guy annouces when he takes his shower u know why ![]() ![]() ![]() ? it is only done once every week for him. so please stop the crap. the last time i checked - black women carry weight more than anyother ethnic group - ever heard of the correlation of hormones and fat and the constant battle black women have with this - big tummy - is it cos some of them are not advertising fibroids, ignorant goat!!!!!!! what so white women are not fat - my friend go to any nigerian night club in the UK - u will see plenty of them. instead of u to say that u are sexually frustrated and can't get beautiful nubian queen ur here disgracing the NIGERIAN woman that carried u for 9 months - in fact ur own daughters will be uglier than the women u are complaining about here ewu, |
jedward:i'm not this girls biggest fan but the number of childish men on this site has made me response to defend her. to the poster go and find a job or girlfriend abeg -stop taking ur poverty striken frustrated backside out on this person. have u seen her picture that u are calling her fat and ugly - if she is lousy then that is what ur first born daughter will be also - please go and get a life I CAN'T STAND STUPID MEN - ITS THE MOST ANNOYING THIS - LACK OF INTELLIGENCE OF THE HIGHEST ORDER @POSTER |
zexyworm:why do airlines do this - the same thing happened years ago when i took an egpyt air flight and they allowed the british passport holders to lodge in a hotel but kept the green passport holders in the sirport for 6 hours until some passengers nearly started world war 3. i tire for this treatment of nigerians |
naliakar:LMAO anyway i'm far from being her biggest fan but seriously i doubt she bleaches - i think she just uses a certain cream to maintain the colour - its very unfortunate that light skinned people are always accused of bleaching. i have even been approached here in london by one bush women asking me what cream i use on my body - excuse me!!!!!!!!! the funniest thing is my face is darker than the rest of my body so can u explain how one bleaches their legs, arms and chest and leaves their face, na wah o rita is a hustler - leave her be she is making her money and like beyonce says - diva is a definition of a female hustler. |
djcrucifix:yes it is - thats why when i'm in nigeria i can't go out for fear of kidnapping or rape - yes it truely is the greatest place on earth - where children can die from bad medicine and women continuously die in childbirth. abeg - whether its for publicity or not - kidnapping is a serious problem that has engulfed our country - instead of making light of it we should be discussing how it can be stopped |
i'm a soon to be returnee so fire away with ur tips - they are funny |
does anyone have an answer to this question - i'm sure some of u ladies on here use this stuff in nigeria - do i buy in bulk here or just buy when i get back to nigeria |
Ebonyeyes:hmmmmmmmmm bobbi brown might go to the west end this week to check out the mac and bobbi brown counter i know this is off topic but if anyone can reccommend a light weight foundation for me i would appreciate it. i currently use studio fix (Mac) and feel the coverage is not good enough but don't want the weight of a liquid. |
