debosky:
It's high time the government sorted this out - they don't even know how many people are in the country illegally.

To those saying illegals pay tax, HOW MUCH tax do they even pay? Is it tax on making 8 pounds per hour ? How much does that amount to? Does that pay for the NHS and other services they sponge off the legal people working in the UK? huh

Labour screwed up big time - opened the gates wide and had no control, now they need to set things right or the BNP will gain more ground in labour's core vote.

The current high rates of migration are unsustainable - they've allowed far too many people in, and without counting people leaving, they have NO IDEA what proportion of the close to 2million visas issued yearly into the UK return to their countries.

While no major changes have been made, the border controls have been re-initiated and they will begin counting people in and out of the country. Till immigration is properly controlled, the legal immigrants within the country will continue to be given a hard time.
THANK YOU at least some one talking sense

TravelRe: Uk Prime Minister Makes Major Speech On Uk Immigration by redsky1: 2:47pm On Nov 14, 2009
please not all illegal immigrants are paying tax number one.

second (please i'm not refering to nigerians here as i have somalians and some eastern europeans in mind) a lot of british tax payers are getting fed up of paying for people both british and non-british sitting at home pumping out kids and getting benefits. i know this is not a nice comment to make and everyone's situation is different but come on now - we all complain about how much tax we all pay but after watching some ITV programme about people living on the breadline but they all had flat screen TV's and computers i thought to myself these people are not poor and then one idiot had the audacity to say the level of poverty on the estates was like a 3rd world country - i was like WTF - i don't know how many people in my village back home that have 42 inch LCD TVs and laptops,

anyway I think this government have really messed up the immigration system - i mean how the hell can someone be in a country illegally and still claim child benefit for their kids - that is just confusing.

anyway b4 someone starts labelling me a member of the BNP let me go from here.

but a note - some of these hospitals have bills of over the £1million from people who have come for treatment (from all over the world) and fled without paying - now when i can't get an appointment at my GP and i'm having to wait for a hosiptal appointment for something serious cos of costs I DO GET ANNOYED - but then again the NHS should manage their budgets a whole lot better than they do now.

who ever says that this is not fishy is living in a dream world - so he didn't see any 60 year old in nigeria?

please once he gets his stay he will divorce her or maybe even kill her off to get her inhertance and then bring his naija girlfriend over to the US.
PoliticsRe: Advantages Of Being A Nigerian by redsky1: 1:31am On Nov 14, 2009
i haven't been thru all 3 pages but the one about debt is funny, so the number of nigerians that have bad credit in the west don't do debt abi, puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrlease

fear of good - i guess some people have already discussed that. child witches, abhorrent widow practices, adundance of adultary, ritual killing (only in naija will this be a fear of mine) and i guess all the kidnappers go to church every sunday as well.

if people appreciate poverty why do the girls back home engage in prostitution. i have been blessed to experience uni life in nigeria and the UK and i have to say the number of aristos in naija compared to here are second to none.

poster -you shouldn't have started this topic
TravelRe: When Did Peckham (In London) Get Annexed By Nigeria? by redsky1: 1:17am On Nov 14, 2009
tegasgirl:
Whoever wrote about some rat infested flat in elephant and castle is chatting shit.
I live in elephant and it's bloody expensive, privately let flats go for about £1500 month for a one bedroom, it's 10 mins away from London Bridge, 20 mins away from the west end, it is basically one of the most coveted areas to live in.

The problem is that once people get to London, they start believing St Johns Eood and Golders Green are the areas to live in, let's be honest, I'll much rather live amongst people who don't live pretentiously.

I love south london, Peckham is rough but so is everywhere else in London. Hell, shootings and stabbings are getting more common in north and west London!

As per the Woolwich area, my man lives in Thamesmead and I have to say it is absolutely gorgeous, new flats with river views, I know most people will rather live there than some snobby area.

So all you Naijas based in London now that look down on south London as a ghetto that stinks and say you won't be caught dead there are brainwashed twats. Simple as.

If you carry yourself well, no one will come to look for your trouble. Don't start none and there won't be none.
so someone lives in a nice area they are a snob?

look if you are not used to inner city life you will never find these area mentioned above nice to live in or visit - just cos something is a stones throw a way from the west end and property prices are high does not make it a very nice area to live in. I mean i know a number of people who have lived in south london or london for that matter but once they reach the stage where they have kids they move out to essex, hertfordshire, berkshire, bucks kent and the like.

to be honest there are a number of places one can get naija food and black hair products around london so why people feel that they can only feel like they are close to home in these type of places is beyond me - when i feel like home i jump on a plane and go home, failing that i have a good sense of who i am and where i come from that i don't need to live near a shop that sells bush meat to feel nigerian, trust me working around oyinbo people everyday reminds me i'm nigerian
TravelRe: When Did Peckham (In London) Get Annexed By Nigeria? by redsky1: 12:48pm On Nov 13, 2009
first of all the way some of you people are referring to Pakistani people is highly offensive.

ayomidej:
Peckham is not that bad compared to how it used to be, for example North Peckham Estate was tough and rough. In some areas in Peckham now, properties cost between £150k to £400K and also for the naijas that live there invested in the economy of UK.

In Naija you invest in the economy and still come out with nothing, if you don't live in UK do not make any silly comments here especially if you are a traveller.

I don't live in Peckham but its convenient to buy anything naija, other areas like Brixton are filled with Jamaicans, Southall - Asians and Bishop Avenue for corrupt naija leaders - minimum property cost in that area 1.5M pounds  grin
the reason the property prices are so high is cos of the transport links and its in london - a house being £450k does not mean the area is populated by russian billionaire and footballers - the houses are simply expensive - go outside london with that same 450k and see the kind of property u can get.

anyway people that live in south london love south and vis versa north londoners. to be honest the video is a BNP video and like someone said here earlier has larger repercussions than us arguing whether its a dump and u can get bush meat from there - thats not the bigger picture.

wait hold on - does it mean u guys don't eat any other type of food apart from naija food - na wah o, what is the point in living in such cosmopolitan city and only experience Nigerian food.

there is so much out there that tastes sooooooooooooooooooooooo good.
TravelRe: When Did Peckham (In London) Get Annexed By Nigeria? by redsky1: 8:20pm On Nov 12, 2009
to answer ur statement - yes i was gloating a bit.

whenever i go back home - people love telling me about their London trips and they have family in London blah blah blah - when they are naming these run down places i do laugh cos i nod in agreement that these places exist in London but the people around us that don't know these places think that peckham na Chelsea, brixton na st johns wood - i mean there is gettho lagos and their is lekki and vgc lagos.

if someone is going to play big boy they need to understand that not all off us will keep quiet about it - or is it the one that told me her fathers house is on oxford street!!!!!!!!! so i shouldn't point out that this is highly unlikely.

ok - so that people who are living on council estates don't feel too bad anymore i'll put down 18th floor council rat infested flat in elephant and castle to make u all feel better as my profile location - man this forum can be headache sometimes - even on the internet one can't be themselves
TravelRe: When Did Peckham (In London) Get Annexed By Nigeria? by redsky1: 8:03pm On Nov 12, 2009
wow so now i can't have an opinion - peckham is a gettho - over and out.

if i have been blessed enough to not live in bad area and grew up in suburbs what is ur issue.

na wah o - if i said i grew up on te 24th floor in brixton then i will no longer be an empty vessel abi.

i'm not going to apologise for having a nice enough life

truly most nigerians living outside nigeria dont know jack about what is going on, you say the goverment. what about the government is bad exactly. structure, people e.t.c. there are many issues involved.
wait so when my friend that lives in lagos comes to visit me here and TELLS ME THAT THEY HAD TO PAY PCHN TO RESTORE ELECTRICITY IS NOT NEWS FROM THE HORSES MOUTH - get real my friend I have been fortunate to travel to nigeria 5 times this year and know exactly what is going on. do you knw that some of us abraod even hear news b4 u guys in nigeria so what are u talking about.

instead of attacking people who live outside nigeria use ur energy to talk about making things better in nigeria. i mean honestly do you feel good that there are people so poor they can't buy drugs to treat basic illness, very very sad, do u feel good that students where at home for 4 months due to strike,

trust me i love nigeria and everything but honesty is the best policy
TravelRe: When Did Peckham (In London) Get Annexed By Nigeria? by redsky1: 6:54pm On Nov 12, 2009
please people defending peckham as if its the best thing since sliced bread get real, it is a dump - u can dash me that £350K+ house fully paid for and buy me a jeep and put outside the house - nothing in this world would make me move there. what about the crime rates there or what peckham no longer has a gang problem and now i'm reading stories of increased incidents of gang rapes.

get real - yes those of us that live outside these areas find it a pain sometimes when we can't buy our food locally but what the hell in a car for. na wah o - i know where i can go to get my naija food and go home in peace and sleep well at night.

i have a list of things that affect the everyday man and woman in Nigeria that I want those who think Nigeria is heaven on earth to please explain why in the year 2010 (cos we ar almost there) we rank so low in providing for citizens oh and by the way it is the governments responsibility to provide basic infrastructure for its citizens.

Health care

Education

Electricity

Water

Employment opportunities

Law and order

Good governance

Security

Human rights

Welfare provision for the very vulnerable in society

this is not a naija bashing session just what can we do to improve things - i grew up in the UK but if nigeria sorted itself out I would be on the first plane back asap .

Now you did sounds jealous and you have answered your own question about what you should be jealous about?: And in your own words, they eat bugger, you don’t, they shop at TESCO and you don’t (which are quite petty things) and now maybe you shops at Jankara market.

By the sound of it, I think you have actually lived abroad yourself but sound exactly like some of those that use to live abroad by were deported as an illegal alien for credit card fraud or non payment of their child support to their former Jamaican girlfriend (the mother of their one night stand experiment).
And now with few nasty mosquito bites back in the slums of Orile Igamu, reminded them of former something and they are bitter. I may be wrong , so no insult now please!!
JESUS IS WEEPING

abeg don't make me drop this laptop from laughing too hard. What i find so funny is when people are talking about good roads in lagos, street lights and people have generators and buy their own water.

wake up - water and electricity are basic things that a government should provide - in this country it is illegal the water company to turn your water cos water is a basic human right,  in that same Nigeria still think its ok to rape a woman if she is outside her home alone after 8pm. its ok for the police to beat ordinary people if they don't move out of their way quick enough.

the same people here complaining about us abroad are the same ones that go to shoprite and buy foreign products (that are even not as good as the ones they sell here - yes the last cream i used back home was so watery i almost mixed it with wine to make a white wine creamy spritzer nonsense

i have said it many times b4 - stop the envy and discuss ways to improve on the country - i think its a big disgrace that women in Nigeriall die in child birth in droves. u people complaining are probably the same ones that have your kids abroad and come here jealousing others.

the average Nigerianes average not the ones living in lekki and VI and PH and Abuja - the average Nigeriannot even afford to eat three times a day.

security, water, electricity law and order, education, social mobility, welfare for orphans and widows is non existent u want to come here and say naija is greatest place on earth - lets not forget all the people that spend hours in church only to commit the worst sins outside church as if God is sleeping.
TravelRe: When Did Peckham (In London) Get Annexed By Nigeria? by redsky1: 12:58am On Nov 11, 2009
yes that is peckham and it is a ghetto, only reason i would see this place is if I'm passing in my car.

there are so many run down parts of London (why most are concentrated in south London is beyond me) that i laugh when people back home are narrating their London trip stories to me and mention places like, elephant and castle, brixton, thornton heath (not croydon) peckham, lewisham, new cross, old kent road, thamesmead and the list continues.

there are some places in this London that makes me wonder what any right minded Nigerian would leave a very good JOB in Nigeria and live in any of these places - and if u do live in the above mentioned place and show off during your naija trips - shame on u - LOL

AND YES I KNOW THE VIDEO IS A BNP VIDEO

my point my guy is that u are who u attract,u cant blame it on others when apparently u cant seem to attract cleaner girls
come to philadelphia,if u want a dirty hood chick that dances on poles and basically 4ks guys for $50, i can show u,white black or asian, dem full ground, and if thats all u can attract in the states dont vent your anger on corporate type chicks that refuse to look at u twice,
Honestly dude be a grown up,u might think u are playing but some of what u wrote here is very vulgar and unfair to most of our women,

what so white women are not fat - my friend go to any nigerian night club in the UK - u will see plenty of them.

TravelRe: Has Anyone Traveled From London To Lagos With Air Morocco? by redsky1: 11:55am On Nov 10, 2009
zexyworm:
Now that everyone mentioned the positive aspects of RAM (air fare, reliability, etc.) I'll list the disadvantages:

1- Their flight timing is absolutely horrible.  Arrival in Lagos 0230 AM so security-wise and convenience-wise it's a big ZERO.

2- Nigerians should expect many Moroccan officers at Casablanca Airport to be downright racists.
Many Nigerians will be denied the right to be lodged in the nearby hotel (if their connection time exceeds 8 hours) simply because they're Africans and Africans are believed to be high risk of illegal immigration,
When I travelled from Lagos to Madrid via Casablanca last January, a snow storm in Madrid shut that airport for 3 days.  The result was 3 days being stuck in Casablanca.  After long begging RAM agreed to bear responsbility for my lodging (since I'm Oyibo).   To my shock and horror, the other Nigerian passengers spent 3 days on the airport floor.

3- Inflight entertainment possibility is zero. The onboard food quality is so-so. But still I can't complain, I paid 550 euros for my return ticket!!!
why do airlines do this - the same thing happened years ago when i took an egpyt air flight and they allowed the british passport holders to lodge in a hotel but kept the green passport holders in the sirport for 6 hours until some passengers nearly started world war 3.

i tire for this treatment of nigerians
