na fresh air! GEJ is really doing well... Lordave: Omo 9ja police don dey progress o. |
haha.. nice. I see such things that are engrained in the psyche of Nigerians as a sign of respect... brought about by some kind of fear... what is called Igbophobia... and the genesis of this, I believe, is after the the Nigerian troops put one leg in the same trousers Biafrans troops had one leg in. Yes, they used superior amo and air bombardments to win the war, but the respect, the fear - the Igbophobia the rest of Nigerians have is (part of, I will say largely) what leads to such acronymns as you posted... It was when I was in my SS years in highschool that I became more aware of Nigerian politics, and since I hadn't had a lot of experience with northerners or westerners... I would always ask my bro in NMS how other ethnic groups behaved towards him and other Igbo students... though he was in his JS years and thus not fully aware of the reason I asked... I was glad to hear that they were warned in their first days/weeks never to (for lack of a better way to put as we discussed in Igbo) be tribalists and stuff... but I got to hear more of such acronymens such as... Igbos boys are dangerous at night... Ojukwu must obey... So again, we may have lost the war... but we knowyour fear of Igbos is the beginning of wisdom... Peace Adex097: Meaning of NAIRA. : |
He might end up shedding tears (like Buhari) after trying so many times... Couldn't agree more with Mr. Okija...."if that's the case, then we don't want Igbo presidency" ... roflmao! On a serious note... when will we see that the ethnicity of the presidency doesn't and will never mean he's the president for his ethnic group alone... are Bayelsans in 9th heaven now? perhaps hey'll have a university (so are 8 other states...) ... and maybe some federal raods there... which are normal things the preside should be doing anyways... What the Igbos need and have always wanted is... I dont even need to say it again.. a fair and even playing ground... equal opportunity, infrastructure etc... not lopsidedness in areas that affect the lives of the people in SE. If the preside won't make the SE feel at "home" in Nigeria... that's what brings up yearnings for Biafra... a land they can call their own and have their destiny in their hands... Anywho.. ther isnt anything i'll say that hasn't been said before... as for now... we are behind GEJ, 110%... GEJ ka anyi ga-eso... ma o na adi ndu, ma o na-anwu anwu (Chineke ekwela!) GEJ ka anyi ga-eso!! successking: Okorocha is likely not going to be elected the second time, because Ndigbo sees his as a betrayal |
Oga Sir: Listen to me, and listen real good. Abi read this my post to you, and read it wella wella, okay? I see you posting xyz about Ochendo (I regret the mistake I made of writing "Ochendu" earlier... I mean, seriously? the man na eche ndu? abeg, anyways, not to digress...) and I comment you for your relentless efforts, even when your threads have 2 posts and 5 views, you don't care, it doestn stop you from opening another thread when you find another successful achievement of T.A. Orji. But, 1. (and this applies to all Nigerians hailing their Oga they support) Please, and I beg you seriously, only post successful and completed projects that are ready to be enjoyed/utilized by the public. enough of this news of partnership this partnership that, PPP, QQQ, "set to be ready by" and all that jazz.... we've heard allo this for years, that is old school... this is new school...if I May borrow the words of Rachel Jeantell... we in new school... my generation, and yours too... lol. but I hope you get my drift... ONLY completed projects do we care about. 2. Anyone can come on here and type pages and pages of stuff... with technology... propaganda flourishes on the internet... but you can also use this to your advantage. For example, they claim he has not done anything to help the masses... (since you claim in one of your or someone elses post, that new housing projects have been built? water schemes etc have been constructed... and all that jazz on electricity... the only evidence that will suffice for all those saying nonsense on the internet is for you to take a video came and go to these places... and take that extra step to ensure that what you are recording, which the eyes of them haters will see... is clear and evident. Please, I take god beg you, save us all the write-ups, cause as you can see from this thread, they don't believe you. Let your next thread on nairaland be a video recording... okay? agreed? I am awaiting that personally... to see that title of the thread that has the word "video" in bracket... and I will use my hard-earned money to push that thread to front page and congratulopia you. Ekwuchaala m. Onye nuru ya gwa nwanne ya (that is all those others saying Orji is working, video record the ish make we see am korokoro... is the next best evidence than coming there with our two legs to see... patrikobi: Governance in Abia and who made it better |
Truth is that since you do not want to see any good, you will not see any good! Thereby, making y'all confused and just rambling on and ond on... You go from saying he has done "nothing" in the state (as if since he has been governor, he just sits on his hands and the state runs itself... lol). and then if something is pointed out... you adjust your ramblings again to only this for 6 years blah blah blah" and then they show you more, you say "these are only for government, masses don't use these buildings, hospitals etc.. and the new song now is that there is nothing for the masses. For all of you who have not been to Abia State since Ochendo came to power... you have to shut dafuck up, okay? same for those who are claiming to be Aba residents, just so they can hurl insults and blame the governor... to to the radio set up for you guys if you really live in Aba and want to complain. There is no state, absolutely no state in this country that you will go to and not see lots of bad roads. So taking pictures of bad roads in rural areas and uploading them here saying its ABA is pathetic and makes you look so desperate and I kinda feel sorry for you. lol. Ochendo is improving the life of Abians, it cant all be done at once, he has to start from somewhere.... and if he has started in Umuahia, I see no wrong in that. I believe ABA as a commercial city got potential... but honestly, its the private sector that can drive that and make it happen while the governor creates the good environment... and I aint buying your propaganda that he's ignored Aba. Have I said if you have not visited or takena tour of the state you should shut it? Well, shut it, and shut it real tight. I wonder what the team of journalists that were doing some good governance tour around the country are doing... crackhouse: my dear i am sorry to say that you are sick. how does these benefit Abians? No roads, no school, no employment, only one hospital and market with less than 100 shops and you are here making noise. it's a pity |
Erhm, excuse me Mr. Ore... the part of your interesting post of purpoted achievements of Ochendu that I want to clarify is... that Aba and Umuahia have been experiencing uninterrupted power supply... just wondering if this was a typo? or are the two cities enjoying such for real? You and the other chap mentioning Bush being a C-averaged student are actually not making any point in the context of the argument you are trying to make... this question might line things up for you wella to see... Was George F. Bush a C student before/when he got accepted to Harvard? Kapish? lol birdman: Umm no, its mostly about money. A few get in because of ability and special circumstances, but Yale, Harvard etc are where the elite send their kids. Do I need to remind you of an affable chap that "C"ed his way through Yale and still became president? The whole family going to Harvard is an achievement but that is none of my business. How does this give Iweala the right to plunge us back into debt? Even the bible says the lender will always be the master of the borrower. |
are you for sure? an endowment from the father of a not-very-smart fellow can get in? from what I've seen, endowments of cash means they'll name something (a faculty, building, theatre, etc) after you or the person given the cash... which is more prestige for the endower as his image or name will be out there.... as opposed to a son or daughter that he knows will flunk out or cant meet the minimum admission requirement. I really do not think even alumni parents can get their kids in without the brain.... its a Nigerian mentality to think its all about money. if preference is given, it still has to be within given parameters. e.g. you interview two peeps for a job, and both are equally qualified, for whatever reason, race, acquaintaince etc... you might have a preference for one over the other... kapish? aaidel: guy go rest jor yes some people get into haravard based on ability but many others get in because they come from very wealthy families that have given millions in endowments to these universities so maybe you should take your own advice further and actually go through more than one google answer before making up your mind |
I totally feel your pain. Give him a subtle confrontation... and tell him exactly what you've said here... then see what happens. Good luck... biggirloya2: I have always been a big girl. Bigger than my age that is. I have a very beautiful body and personality but a bit too big for my age. I have always been like this. Now i am 26 but you would swear i am 29 or more. Now i have always attracted older men or bad guys and now i finally thought i had met the one. He is turning 25 in August and i am ( for once in my life) the older one in a relationship. I sometimes hate him coz i get the feeling that because i am fat he wants to treat me like a sugar mommy. but i am only 1 year older than him.I am tired of him hurting me. I get the feeling that he has a younger skinnier lover and me i am just the for sex and do him favours. The dude has never invited me to his home or to meet his people but he knows my home and people like hell. When i dump him he declares his undying love for me but when i decide to stay in the relationship he never has time for me and makes me feel as if he is doing me a favor by spending time with me. Will i ever feel good about myself, will i ever be happy like other people, or am i going to be his dirty secret forever? i am scared of ending things compeletly coz i am a coward and i cant stand to one day see him with a better girl coz i am just a fat worthless ugly girl who looks older than she is.Do you feel my pain? |

Did OBJ appoint his service chiefs or was it the same thing Joe did? WildChild00: Kudos to the judiciary for a work well-done, right from 1999 when Formal president Obasanjo came into power, dis has been in practised, but on the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria, it is clearly spelt out that the president should norminate and send to the senate for approval, but most of the civilian president has been negecting this for so long, perhaps reasons best known to them. |

Dear Seun: I am not sure if you monitor the activities of your mods. its good to give them a free hand to moderate and all, but I suggest that from time to time, you check in and see what they do. Your mod. OAM4J, on page 147 of this thread, before all of our eyes, blackmailed his fellow mods. (I will explain shortly), on page 148, brought out his biased side and behavior of partiality (will also explain), and I can't think of any other reason why he has refused to (at least) explain himself, after days and pages of trying to hold him accountable for his actions before all members interested in this section/and thread. (If I may quickly draw a tangent off to our country Nigeria, those put in power feel they are on a high horse where no one "beneath" them should question their actions. They do what they like, favor whom they will, and expect no one question their actions; ignoring those that do. Its a fellow NL poster that signs off his profile with the quote "Nigerians hold your leaders accountable..." or something to that effect... think its Gbawe... but when there is no system or institution to ensure that when people call out their so-called leaders and try to hold them accountable, taking responsibility for their irresponsibility and so on... when you let your mods. continue misbehaving... there's a saying that "a team is as strong as its weakest link/member" What did OAM4J do (that I see as an outright blackmail of his fellow mods)? If you don't want to visit that page (147), the summary is that: - Desola in her usual way was complaining that a post contained a tribalistic slur; - she was accusing the other two mods of being tribalistic etc for not deleting the slur - she was promptly reminded that the post containing the so-called slur was made last year, 2012 Clearly made before a ban was put in effect against those type of words (referred to as slurs I guess) - as the other two mods decided they were not going to retroactively apply a new law, OAM4J jumps in and goes ... "post deleted, thanks for reporting." page 148, ACM10 calls him out on it... and shows him an old post that contained another slur (this time an Igboso-called slur) used by Desola... up until now, that slur is still there. OAM4J was no where to be found to delete it and say "Post deleted thanks for reporting" ( |
You said the poster was telling lies, and then posted a link... one would think right away that your link would be a re-bottle or a write-up that disproves each of the points the OP made on this thread.... (cause he/she was quite specific with /by naming each investment coming into the country).... however your post/thread was ... disappointing to the expectation generated from your calling the OP's post lies... Could you let us know what the lies were? MTN is not investing more in the country? or MI-Fone's penetration into the Nigerian market is a bluff? Shop Right and other foreign companies listed by the OP have just been made up? Hear of GE coming to A'Ibom? Orikinla: The poster is telling lies. |
