Why don't they propose to cut Govt expense by 50% keep PMS @ N100 use the proceeds to improve road and infrastructure in 2012 then remove rest of subsidy by 2013. While keeping govt salary at reduced level. |
seechris:you must have not listened ti IGP Ringim this morning on TV. He implied all these violence in his speech. |
really a shocking trend and pictures. but why are there many starved children and fairly ok adults, could it be that adults feeding themselves and ignoring the helpless kids? |
obowunmi:lol, GEJ left Nigerians stranded in their villages after Xmas, NLC/TUC are going to make Nigerians stranded all over the world after holidays 1 :1 goalless draw ![]() |
These people came out on Sunday to debate and pass motion that is so toothless and avoided anything that will affect them and their sponsors? This is sad. :oNo need to investigate and prosecute those who corruptly enrich themselves with subsidy :oNo need to reduce their own emolument |
REP S NIG:tell them!. I guess, the senate must pass the same motion then both houses must harmonize and send same to presidency for accent before it becomes law. |
wow!your amendment failed ![]() |
studyineu:you must have joined this discuss late, motion was moved by and supported by southerns, Gbajabiamila and Rotimi are Yorubas and many Ibos supported the motion too |
Andrew Ikwerre is on point> I wonder how people talk of patience and given chances to tormentors as if they have unlimited life spans. Nigeria as it is now, some youths may not do any meaningful work in their active lives. People graduate at age of ~30yrs look for work for another 5 years, get married at ages their parents already finished having 6 children. Most today's parents would have retired before their kids are out schools, not to talk of getting married. |
How can Seriaki Dickson be talking about respecting court injunction when he was elected at a primary even when a court order disallowed it. |
dayokanu:don't worry you, did not vote her, Akala did, and he is proud of her. ![]() |
alj harem:airplane is correct english |
otokx:good point, but there is no diesel refinery. all products come together in fractional distillation. However, the demand for diesel should have encouraged refinery establishment since aviation fuel is unsubsidized too. |
nku5:That reminds one of Fela's Beast of No Nation. Human right na my property, you can give me human right. |
victorazy:rubbish, if na man like you remain, i think am happy with women kids? hahaha Congrats to Beyonce and Jay Z |
stiyke:because Ghana once had a ruler called Jerry Rawlings that tied to stakes and killed many of their corrupt leaders, just one day, that lesson is still in the brain of Ghanian leaders, so they don't mess up. There are other reasons o. Public schools, including universities in Ghana are better than private schools. Power has been stable in Ghana for more than 10yrs. |
Here is what I saw as NASS salary structure. If this is same for executives, 25% reduction would affect all items Legislature: Annual Basic Salary = X Vehicle Maintenance & Fueling = 75% of X Personal Assistant = 25% of X Hardship = 5% of X Domestic Staff = 75% of X Entertainment = 30% of X Utilities = 30% of X Outfit = 25% of X Newspaper and Periodicals = 25% of X |
SILAKABUWA:those NASS members sef, they are always on recess when Nigeria is in crises. I wonder when they work. |
rafhell:how many past leaders have we given chances? This guys are what they are, I wonder how people talk of patience and given chances to tormentors as if they have unlimited life spans. Nigeria as it is now, some youths may not do any meaningful work in their active lives. People graduate at age of ~30yrs look for work for another 5 years, get married at ages their parents already finished having 6 children. Most today's parents would have retired before their kids are out schools, not to talk of getting married. |
^^^^ you can bank on that |
dammiedot:I don't know FGN's salary structure, however, if other allowances are determined by basic salary, then the reduction should affect total remuneration. |
Timmy321:lol, go ask ASUU and other unions, negotiation over negotiation, agreement over agreement ![]() |
This one sounds like food for all by 1985, Housing for all by 1990 and later 2000, Vision 2010 and later 202020 Vision |
but why would GEJ start a second war when he has not been able to win an ongoing one? BH guys killing innocent souls and now the whole populace protesting fuel price hike. Even world super powers don't do that. |

Nigerians = 160,000,000 buses= 1,600 (Nigerians)/(Buses) = 160,000,000/1,600 = 100,000 Nigerians per bus. Palliate measures indeed |
I think hes should have been out to address them. If only to collect letter for onward transfer to FGN. There is life after Government House, last month it was Lekki Toll gate power show, today is snubbing his colleague. Emmanuel Nsan did the same to doctors as Health Minister under Buhari/ Idiagbon, when is he and Idiagbon today. Power is transient. These lawyers made him larger than others during gubernatorial debate for second terms about this time last year. |
How can a whole minister consider payment of salary on 20th as palliative measure, are they going to pay another one before the end of the monthly cycle?. Is paying salary early amount to increasing the value of the cash paid? |
why can't govt introduce the so so called palliative before subsidy removal. at least they said budget was still okay till march ending. while the hurry. if the people saw the improvement in situation they may be persuaded |
MAYOWAAK:leave the blinded Nigerians that have been fed with bias media. Nigerians want good food but want to insist on accent and skin colour of the cook only, lol. |
