The reason for his disappointment last year was because that he had earlier thought Tinubu was going to make him his runningmate, which was why he had earlier left PDP about a year earlier, until Tinubu saw that he'd lose if he chose a Christian northerner. |
Wrong headline by Vanguard. He says people should not be stigmatised but rather helped, through prevention of drug use. Is it not the same as saying HIV patients should not be stigmatised or discriminated against, but rather helped?? |
You people are not getting the jokes. It's about the two guys wearing Obi and Tinubu-branded t-shirt and sitting next to each other. |
.... |
I have seen a school that has the word 'international' in its name, but it's inside a single hall with wooden boards used to demarcate each class ![]() . |
Generalmystic:You mean IPOB, because they're the ones killing Igbos across the SE. |
Solidkay:Lie! Many armed groups have fought governments and won. Taliban did it two years ago. Most of the countries who seceeded from their previous countries was a result of their armed groups winning a fight against their previous governments. Examples are Bangladesh, East Timor, South Sudan, etc. |
pocohantas:Well, well,... I could go on and on, but this is where I hang my booths. |
pocohantas:Nigeria rations power, because what we generate is infinitesimal compared to what we need. The less than 5000MW we currently generate for a population of 200m+ people should ordinarily be for Lagos alone. The people in charge of the rationing determine which areas get more stable power supply, using some metrics that may not be available to the general public. |
pocohantas:You're funny. Nigeria operates a national grid. So whatever is generated across all the different power stations, is sent to a central pool (I think TCN), which then decides how to share the power to the various distribution companies. BTW who told you other states are not experiencing improved power supply right now?? |
pocohantas: Looks like we've arrived at a single point: the improved power supply to your area and across many parts Nigeria at the moment, is not that Nigeria is now suddenly generating 1m mW overnight, but most likely due to yearly improvement in generation every rainy season or temporary power re-routing due to damage to another area's power network. We experience same here in Abuja. |
pocohantas:Well, routing of power supply has nothing to do with whether you're on prepaid or on estimated billing. It's simply to avoid redundancy or wastage. |
Go to any Deeper Life church around you. Trust me, you'll not regret it. |
One week is too short to make a conclusion about. Sometimes when a particular area's power distribution network goes down, they may decide to route their power allocation to another area, pending the conclusion of repairs. But even at that power supply is always constant during the rainy season. |
For at least 8 years now, we have not made up to N800b per month, despite the fact that naira nosedive by at least - 200%, which should have favoured crude oil sale conversion. |
What pressure?? Didn't they do the same thing in 2029? |
The university could only gift her N500K?? Well, it's even better than a university that gave out less than N30K years ago . I personally don't know why university authorities are very miserly when it comes to giving financial rewards to exceptionally good students. |
By changing your name from SSS to DSS? |
I think they were simply testing the ground to know how people would react to it. He may still be the one, if the EFCC law allows for a retired police officer to head the agency. If he's a tough, passionate anti corruption man, so be it. |
SangoOlukosoOba:Do people's membership of university cults cease when they leave school?? |
Is the Fulani man there not representing the Hausa, or are they not the same again?? Should Ijaw, Ibibio or Itsekiri complain that they were not represented because an Efik man took the slot that belongs to the SS?? |
As far as I detest the corruption reported here, but here's what I can't stop wondering about: If a young man who was selling recharge cards prior to 2015, could suddenly metamorphose into a political, financial and influential behemoth to the point where he could be so close to the CBN governor that he influenced the military to provide protection for Emefiele, amongst other actions of his, it shows that the guy needs to be studied in some way—positive actually. |
Tinubu would have made one of the biggest blunders of his administration if no person from the SE was appointed. It'd simply embolden IPOB to win more Igbo people over to their side, like they did during Buhari's tenure. |
Ireportlive:What's the difference between NASS and the legislature?? |
... |
You mean IPOB terrorists attacked the convoy?? |
If they have to give back the same saved subsidy money back to the citizens, what would they then use for the infrastructure and job creation they said they'd use it for?? Doesn't make sense. |
jmoore:All the names you call Yoruba and Fulani people here, is you just having a different opinion?? Please take a deep introspection instead of these merry-go-round defences. |
jmoore:And I've also seen you preach on some threads. So to you, being a Christian is just about being chaste, whilst also being a bitter, hate-filled and tribalistic person?? |
jmoore:Your signature says "Team Chaste", but 90% of your comments on Nairaland is filled with bile, bitterness and insults. Who are you deceiving?? |
I want Emefiele to face justice for all of the horrors he put Nigerians through, but does the court need to give this order, before DSS know that that is the legal thing to do?? Frankly speaking, I see DSS as a rogue agency that has no use, aside being used by any incumbent president, to harass and intimidate whoever s/he wishes to. |
As it stands now, the current gov is Kwankwaso. Abba is only fronting for him. This battle will be "deadly" if the gladiators don't rein in on their supporters. |
