Politics › Re: Subsidy Removal:Oil Marketers To Donate 100 Buses After Meeting President Tinubu by RenaissanceGuy: 6:34pm On Jun 07, 2023
Very good. 100 diesel-powered buses is what 200 million people need to cushion the effects of high petrol prices — 2½ buses per state.
Politics › Re: Why Is Nigerian Twitter So Cluttered And Devoid Of Information? by RenaissanceGuy: 11:17am On Jun 07, 2023
Blame Twitters recent algorithm update. I have noticed the same thing myself. Now, you can't even hide a tweet you don't like. You'll have to go through the rigorous process of reporting it.
Politics › Re: Will Supreme Court Declare This Subsidy Illegal? Like New Naira Note by RenaissanceGuy: 10:43am On Jun 07, 2023
There are some judgement of the court that a govt cannot obey. For example, if the SC rules that minimum wage be pegged at N200K, the govt would simply claim that they'd have loved to obey it, but they don't have enough money to do that. Simple.
Politics › Re: Lai Mohammed Gets International Lobbying Job by RenaissanceGuy:
This is not safe and has to be against the law. How can a person who occupied such a sensitive post as information minister suddenly start working for an international lobbying organisation??
If NIA or DSS really know their job, they'd call him privately and tell him to back off.
neutralmind:
It is not against any law. Kindly take note
Really? I know that of the president that he can't work for any international/foreign organisation until after at least 10 years. I just don't know if it applies to other officials.
Politics › Re: Moment President Tinubu Storms National Security Adviser Office In Abuja by RenaissanceGuy: 8:03pm On Jun 05, 2023
You mean DG of NIA, because there's no NSA yet.
Politics › Re: Falana Says NNPC’s Decision To Increase Pump Price Of Petrol Is Illegal by RenaissanceGuy:
Well, NNPC didn't set the price for other marketers. It only set price for its own NNPC-branded fuel stations.

Politics › Re: Innoson Thanks Alex Otti For Using IVM For Abia Inauguration Parade by RenaissanceGuy: 9:13pm On May 30, 2023
sirklin:
Dangote refinery was celebrated like it was next big thing after garri. Dignitaries graced the occasion. Buhari removed subsidy to make sure his refinery thrive.

Innoson has been producing cars. Call it assembled cars but it was done in Nigeria. FG that championed made in Nigeria has never patronised Innoson because he is from a particular tribe they don't wish to grow.
Lie! Many FG agencies bought IVM vehicles during Buhari's tenure!
Politics › Re: Catholics Members Flock To Missouri Church To Pray Over Body Of 'miracle' Nun. by RenaissanceGuy: 9:07pm On May 30, 2023
This is evil and satanic. It's very puzzling that this bizzare thing is happening in a civilised place like the US. People are even allowed to touch it - this is gross.
Politics › Re: Abba Gida-gida Issues Executive Orders To Probe Ganduje by RenaissanceGuy:
All this gra gra usually produces nothing or very little. Which state government has ever prosecuted a former gov to success? It's the EFCC who's usually the tiger that can do such a job.
Kennyquestt:
Plateau state- Dariye went to prison
Taraba state-Nyame went to prison
Who did it? EFCC, not the state governments.
Politics › Re: I Acknowledge Bola Tinubu As Nigeria President : Reno Omokri by RenaissanceGuy:
People like Reno, who are too opinionated, always end up inconsistencies in what they stand for. Or in the long run, they find themselves caving under pressure for very deep compromises to whittle down the criticisms directed at them.

PS: This comment is not directly directed at this tweet. Just pointing out Reno's over-opinionation and playing to the gallery.
Politics › Re: Buhari constitutes Board For Aviation Agencies, Renames Airports - Hours To Go by RenaissanceGuy: 9:28am On May 29, 2023
Ebubu2:
But Enugu airport was named after an Ebonyi man.
So why are you angry that your state's airport is named after someone from another state??
Politics › Re: Buhari constitutes Board For Aviation Agencies, Renames Airports - Hours To Go by RenaissanceGuy: 9:14am On May 29, 2023
Ebubu2:
Muhammadu Buhari International Airport Ebonyi has more National appeal than the name Chuba Okadigbo though angry
Just tell us it's because it's named after an Igbo man that's not from your state. That's how very 'tribalistic' some of you Igbos are amongst yourselves.
Business › Re: Tomato Price Crashes As Ghana, Cameroon Supplies Hit Nigerian Markets by RenaissanceGuy:
We know inflation and high cost are usually hinged on low supply. Imagine Nigeria having ten of Dangote's refineries, there'll be competition leading to price crash.

Edited.

Politics › Re: SSS Uncover Plans To Disrupt May 29 Inauguration by RenaissanceGuy: 11:31am On May 25, 2023
This SSS DG is just on an eye service overdrive to try to compel Tinubu to retain him. The same reason he wanted to arrest Emefiele to please Tinubu.

You mean obi is still using regular flights after the election? Cos I've not seen such evidence

Man is balling private jet all around the world this days
Is chattered plane not the same as "private jet"?
Politics › Re: Analysis Of Tweets From 2023 Nigerian Presidential Candidates by RenaissanceGuy: 1:35pm On May 24, 2023
ronalmagic10:
During the campaign, we all saw pictures of PO using commercial planes and applauded him for that. However, after the elections, he has been globetrotting using a private jet to France, UK, Abuja, Lagos...
I'm no Obi fan, but stop twisting recent history. Obi used chattered planes throughout his campaign. Ask yourself how it's even remotely possible to use regular flights for interstate campaign movements.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Dangote Refinery: How Prepared Are You As A Job Seeker? by RenaissanceGuy: 2:20pm On May 22, 2023
Dshocker:
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Even if i qualify for any position, Dangote will have to pay me N10m monthly.

God knows i can't be a slave as a salary earner.
You people should stop rehearsing this stale talk of 'I can't be a salary earner'. If everybody is a business owner, who'll be the employees in those businesses, or are they going to be one-man businesses/companies?? There are salary earners taking home more than ₦5m per month and there are entrepreneurs who make less than ₦70K or have even folded up.

Why are you always afraid of being 'quoted', wrapping your posts around quote tag, to prevent people from replying you, if you know your posts are sensible? This is a public forum and one way of learning, unlearning and relearning is through exchange of ideas and opinions.

Probably you're using 1G network, because I use ChatGPT almost everyday, without any hitches.

Shut the fucking up!
More often than not, truth is very bitter, but always a saver. Why would you just tell him to shut up without even providing a pinch of statement to counter his points? Maybe his post elicited guilt in you, but truth is truth—whether it makes you feel good or not.

The more annoying thing is when they went to the page of the former record holder, the India lady and started insulting her

Hers is even more valuable because she made 20,000 dishes of food and shared to orphanages and homeless people.
It's beyond puzzling. Which still lends credence to my postulation that ordinarily they were supposed to be there. Probably, the person has to be the one to foot the traveling expenses and Hilda wasn't able to do that.

Meaning it's not every attempt they have to be present. But it's surprising that almost every one I've seen, they were there and immediately presented the certificate to the record breaker after the completion. Like, recently, a Japanese chef and her team made the largest sushi ever and they were there all through the cooking process.
