The previous order of the court was given during the tenure of one of the previous IGPs just as in the EFCC and the Nigerian Army cases. The former IGP should be brought to court and made to serve the 3 months imprisonment.

The Supreme Court will look at some other merits of the case, even if the FG may have erred in the way he was arrested. It's like saying the court should free an armed robber just because the police tapped his phone and didn't obtain warrant. The court may only say that they would reduce the convict's sentence as a way of rebuking the police force.

There's a lot of things wrong with it. CBN under Jonathan wanted to introduce it around 2013, but when people cried out against it that it'd lead to massive inflation, they backed out. Imagine a worker earning ₦35K withdrawing 7 pieces of notes from the ATM. Imagine taking a ₦5K note to go buy something worth ₦250 — where would the seller get change to give you? Before you know it, prices of goods will start rounding up to the nearest hundred and thousand. The same thing happened after the introduction of ₦1000.

That means that you are not conversant with Nigerian news. Who told you that polithiefcians and civilservant thieves haven't been receiving their own sudden judgement? Two senators from one state died within 1 week years ago. Two former GMDs of NNPC died suddenly. An Imo senator slumped in his bathroom and died about 2 years ago. Etc. Not to mention the heavyweight looters and polithiefcians who died during the coronavirus epidemic. God has different ways of meting out judgement. Sometimes, sudden death or mysterious illness may not be a judgement, and some other times, it's a divine judgement.
