Fake news, right here in No. 7 Abulodi Close, Mushin Lagos, Facebook and Twitter are working fine and they must be working in America as well because I was able to chat with an old white woman based in Nebraska who's about to wire me $5,000. But on a more serious note, if those sites are down in some parts of the U.S it must be related to a blackout in Amazon Web services where Facebook and Twitter host their sites in the cloud. I'm about to start a fundraising campaign on Gofundme to raise money for a Rashidi Yekini Museum, being the first Nigerian player to score in the worldcup shouldn't be taken lightly, I will make it my mission to immortalize him. |
Former Supreme court justice Sir Chukwudifu Oputa must be rolling in his grave right now. He sent his son Charley Boy to the U.S to study Law just like any good father would want his offspring to follow after him. Instead Charley Boy went to America and hung out with some gay hippies who introduced him to marijuana and cocaine. Rather than study Law, he spent his tuition money on drugs and graduated with a Communications degree 8 years later. This is one of the reasons why I will not send my children overseas to study. It looks like Uriel Oputa is following her father's foot steps, the girl has become an international hooker whose goods are readily available to the highest bidder. I'm deeply saddened for this dysfunctional family but my only solace is that in nineteen ninety four, Rashidi Yekini became the first Nigerian to score in the World Cup tournament where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0. |
Iyanya had a promising career, his hit song Kukere took the continent and entire globe by surprise. Everyone wanted to dance kukere, it was like the reinvention of makossa, so infectious. But then all of a sudden, the guy faded out of the scene. He should've been nice to Teckno, that guy is so talented and will remain in the limelight for many years to come. While growing up in the slums of Kaduna, young Rashidi Yekini dreamed about being as good as Pele. He never knew his dream will some day come to pass when he joined the Super Eagles and became the first Nigerian to score in the worldcup tournament in nineteen ninety four. |
A well put together list, my only grievance is that there was no warning these pictures will use up the 500mb data I just subscribed for. I don't know this guy and I'm honestly angry that people will pay so much money to watch cars go round and round on a race track for hours. I mean what fun is that? Doesn't your head hurt from watching cars go round and round in circles? These white folks can call anything sport, meanwhile on the 22nd minute in Cotton Bowl stadium, Dallas 1994, a young Rashidi Yekini scored a beautiful goal, becoming the first Nigerian to score in the world cup tournament, I can rewatch this piece of history every day without getting bored. |
May his soul rest in peace. |
If he spends $100,000 every week, it means he spends $5.5 million or 2 billion naira every year. I mean if you believe this, I can sell you the 3rd mainland bridge. I've always known Davido to be a self hyping pathological liar anyway so I'm not too surprised. In the 22nd minute at Cotton Bowl stadium Dallas 1994, Rashidi Yekini scored a beautiful goal against Bulgaria being the first Nigerian to ever score in the Worldcup, we should hear more about these historic moments and not Davido's made up life. |
Spygadgets19:He gets grants and does fellowship for the school. |
It's great to see these brilliant young minds achieving academic success and what not, but the problem with Nigerians centres around their lack of creativity. It's not always about being book smart, some of the technological inventions we enjoy today weren't created by the top students but by curious minds. I know a guy who's so smart and has 4 PhDs but he has never worked a day in his life, after he completes one degree, he goes back for another one. This guy is 45 years old and he's going for his 5th post graduate degree. I wish them well, and I hope they make us proud. Perhaps one day my own children will sing their song like I recite this quote "in 1994 Rashidi Yekini became the first Nigerian player to score in the World Cup tournament where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0." |
modskiller:That's to save my spot before delving deeper, do you have a problem with it? |
You know when President Buhari said he will reduce the exchange rate of dollar from N150/$ to N1/$1 people thought he was delusional. Well he didn't let us know that it will be a task that requires 8years at the helm. Dollar shot up to over N520/$ and people started voicing their frustrations which is understandable, but he has stabilized the rate to N360/$ for two years now at the dismay of speculators. I strongly believe that before the end of his 2nd term, Naira will be 50Kobo/$1, that's not a typo, you read that right, naira will be stronger than the dollar as it was in 1985 when my father used to travel to conventions in Las Vegas and partied like the King of Zamunda. When the white men would open the door of his taxi, pick up his suit cases and ferry him to his delux room. The naira was so strong, my dad will eat king crab legs, drink to his heart fillings and still have change to tip the pretty white bartenders. Although he never gambled, he always enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas. My dad told me several stories and they all had a common theme, 1970s and early 1980s Nigerians were highly sought after by the white man because our currency was strong and we were a thriving nation. This anecdote isn't about my father or am i trying to brag about anything, he was a common man with a currency far stronger than the Dollar and Pounds sterling. While I will never forget the tales of my father, I will also never forget that in 1994 Rashidi Yekini became the first Nigerian to score in the World Cup tournament where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0. |
Stevewonder004:Everyday is Rashidi Yekini day. He is a national hero and his name should be engraved in our history and statues should be erected for him. He should have airports, roads, hospitals and stadiums named after him. |
Soul47:Your father is foolish |
Celebrities will say all sort of things to make their childhood and upbringing seem chaotic and turbulent just to sell a record. It is known as street credit. I remember Drake rapping about his tough adolescent days and many fans pointing out that he was raised in an upscale neighborhood in Canada with his upper-class white mother, plus he was also acting in a popular TV show. It's just like Teni's song "Uyo Meyo" where she was talking about a rough childhood, meanwhile her late father Dr Apata was a real estate mogul and she schooled in the U.S. It's possible that this lady left her parental home at 5 probably due to custodial issues but was raised in a foster home, but when she sends out a tweet like this, it makes it look like at 5 years old, she voluntarily left her home and started hustling. Last time I checked, child Labor laws were observed in the U.S and they are strictly enforced. We should never forget that in 1994 Rashidi Yekini became the first Nigerian player to score in the world cup tournament where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0. |
She's not physically beautiful although I'm very sure she's spiritually beautiful and has a beautiful voice. Her mother raised her right and if she continues on this path, she might even be bigger than her mother. I don't care what anyone says, call it idolizing, imortalizing or worshiping but as long as I'm on this earth I will always remember that in nineteen ninety four Rashidi Yekini became the first Nigerian player to score in the world cup tournament where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0. |
While this is a very solid car with 16 cylinder engine, it pares in comparison to my Batmobile. In 1994 Rashidi Yekini became the first Nigerian player to score in the world cup tournament where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0. |
Maybe it wasn't meant to be. She didn't say what the issues were so one cannot say if it could've been resolved. Abounce has bounced out and I wish them well. But I always feel like sometimes, both parties need to sit down and make compromise just for the sake of the union and their children. The only unforgivable offense is adultery. Though it is sad to see them split, we should never forget that in 1994 Rashidi Yekini became the first Nigerian player to score in the world cup tournament where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0. |
Rolings:Considering all the money he made as a professional football player I would like to think she's set for life but if you happen to have her contact, I don't mind showing my appreciation for what her son achieved in the 94 world cup. |
laptopsale:Lol just mentioned a few |
What I would like to know is the method they used in verifying the man's _genitalia was missing. Did the mob that killed this innocent woman even look to see if his _genitalia was really missing? This is what annoys me with Nigerians in general, highly educated but still myopic in reasoning and logic. When a person loses his _penis, is there an open wound in place and shouldn't there be blood gushing out? Or does it just fade away into thin air without any trace? An innocent woman was killed wrongly by blood thirsty bystanders, but we should never forget that in 1994 Rashidi Yekini became the first Nigerian player to score in the world cup tournament where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0. |
mrbock:A loophole doesn't mean it's illegal, it just means it's a legal loophole that needs to be clogged. Even Warren Buffett and Bill Gates have said they will gladly pay more in taxes despite being multibillionaires. Sanders is on the right track, the ultra rich need to pay their fair share of taxes. |
Our childhood was filled with memories of WWE legends like King Kong Bundy, Yokozuna, The Undertaker, Mankind, Hulk Hogan, Hit Man, Stone Cold Steve Austin just to name a few. It was one of the best times growing up as a kid in Nigeria. If you had a VHS player or decorder, you were treated like a demi god on your street. We will all gather to watch WWE smackdown on satellite or cassette. Although we knew it was acting, we were still glued to the theatrics that is called wrestling. I wish my children can time travel back to 1994 when Rashidi Yekini became the first Nigerian player to score in the world cup tournament where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0. |
Atiku and the PDP fought a good fight but history has shown that It is statistically difficult to defeat a sitting president. While Atiku's campaign had the support of the educated middle class voters with access to the internet, Buhari won the majority of the working class. I still commend PDP for posing a serious challenge, and if they carry on this momentum come 2023, they have a very good chance of winning by a landslide. A comment about PDP will never be complete without stating that in 1994 Rashidi Yekini became the first Nigerian player to score in the world cup tournament where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0. |
mrbock:I gave you a range and you chose to focus on the higher tax bracket but it still doesn't change the fact that the ultra wealthy employ all sorts of financial engineering schemes to avoid paying their fair share in taxes. This is a known fact. I don't make baseless claims or arguments withiut beeing well acquainted with the issue at hand. I read Amazon's last earning report and listened to the conference call, one of the reasons why they paid no tax has to do with carrying forward previous losses, in essence, they can carry forward those loses which inadvertently reduces their profits for as many years as required to finally being the loss down to zero. This is just one of many loopholes the rich have used to dodge paying their fair share in taxes, even Trump pays minimal taxes and he compliments himself as being smart for not paying more than he should. I don't charge a dime for my free online lessons. |
Good for him, at least he is in a country where actors are well paid unlike Nigeria where piracy has run the film industry to the ground. I just hope he doesn't end up just a background cast member like the ones I've seen who only act as extras and never take a major role. He has a bright future, Netflix is desperately in need of Nigerian talent but he should never forget in nineteen ninety four Rashidi Yekini became the first Nigerian player to score in the world cup tournament where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0. |
mrbock:Fair share is getting rid of loopholes the ultra rich exploit to pay little to no taxes. Amazon made $11 billion in profile last year and paid zero, zilch, nunca, nothing, nada in taxes while the common man pays anywhere from 25%-40% in federal and state tax. That's unfair. |
jaszplus12:You are right sir. I know he was substituted but I forgot it was due to injury. |
Orjiugo8803:Trump uses scare tactics and fear-mongering. I hope he's impeached before 2020. |
I commend Ambode for a job well done. These flyovers will reduce traffic congestion in Lagos. Nonetheless, we should never forget that in 1994 Rashidi Yekini became the first Nigerian player to score in the world cup tournament where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0. |
This is a very impressive list. The only difference between these guys and the likes of Davido is that their average net worth is over $1 billion. So they can afford the outright purchase of an embrarer or a gulfstream and also pay a flight crew plus necessary maintenance. It's not an easy feat to own and pay a flight crew of pilots and flight attendants whose yearly salaries can cost 150 million naira and then cost of jet fuel for every hour of flight you could be shelling out 7 million naira and then maintenance takes the cake, you can easily pour over 200 million in maintenance alone. These guys can spend such amounts of money every week for the rest of their lives and still be multi billionaires, but Davido and Wizkid cannot, they instead lease a private jet and deceive the masses that they own it. Not hating here but we should never forget that in 1994 Rashidi Yekini became the first Nigerian player to score in the world cup tournament where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0. |
I like Desmond Elliot, he transitioned well from acting movies to being a politician, but I hate when him and other politicians carry out these publicity stunts during election time. Why wasn't he meeting with his constituents before now? Why wait until the election time for this fake display of care and concern? The people's person must remember that in 1994 Rashidi Yekini became the first Nigerian player to score in the world cup tournament where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0. |
Atigba:Asking the ultra wealthy to pay their fair share of taxes and persuading the biggest corporations in the world to pay their employees a living wage so they won't depend on government welfare isn't socialism or communism, it is the right thing to do. |
Urji Uzor Kalu is easily the worst governor in Ibo land. Just Google Umuahia and you will see dirty flooded roads. The man is a joke and Abians reelected him. All the Kalus I know have done great things through international and local success and philanthropy, but I cannot mention one accomplishment of Urji Uzor Kalu. To think that Abains do not remember that in ninety ninety four Rashidi Yekini became the first Nigerian player to score in the world cup tournament where we defeated Bulgaria 3-0. |
