chinedumo: i know i am a late reader.

But if u dont mind, could you throw more light on d theory

that a woman must marry a man that loves her and not d other way around
Mr. Chinedumo, the great debater, 'akshually' I can't help but say something here...... I also used to think this theory was right but seriously.....it was quite naive of me ..... fact is, a man can act like he loves a woman....men (sorry to say) deserve the Oscar award when trying to capture a lady's heart (and whatever else).....he might actually really love her but then I betcha when he's gotten the goods, he won't work so hard at love any more.... He might begin to misbahave and change into someone else.

Love is no guarantee, it diminishes depending on factors affecting the relationship, both parties have to continually work at the relationship, if you just let it go, the love of one person isn't enough to sustain it forever.

If you believe God exists, then you also have to believe the devil and other supernatural beings exist.

My mom is from the riverine areas, she once told me of a priestess who would go into the river to consort with the spirits underneath it for days while drummers would be beating drums till she returned until one day, she went in and didn't return.... When the drummers tire, they packed their drums and went home.

Hmmmm, op' the more I read about this your wife.....the wider my mouth drops.....you say you spend so much that you do not have savings? Whaaaaat? Since she earns also, she is supposed to chip in a bit of her income but obviously you have allowed her to hoard her money and days why she went and built a house....... A little advice, compulsorily put aside an amount for savings every month and draw back on some things, especially things she could handle in the home......if she comes for money, tell her money Don finish..... If she likes let her call her ancestors into the matter..... If money haf finish, it haf finish!

Also and finally, if you are not happy, please call the marriage quits o and be happy.....

One question that's baffling me is why does she always take decisions on her own? Are you the type who wouldn't listen, or who wouldnt support? ..... There's something going on here, cos you seem too good to be true and your wife seems too mean and wicked to be acting this way to such a longsuffering husband.

dayokanu: WHat would she write that anyone would take seriously?

Whats worse than "Oh The governor diickk is 1 cm long, He only last for 2 seconds, He used 1000 people for jazz, he has mental issues, he eats human flesh"

How many ppl would take the words of a person already suspected to be insane seriously? She would have the same influence as someone like Omololu Olunloyos daughter

Chime only needs one answer to anything she writes

santity100: How is she being treated unjustly ?

She is having mental problems, don't you understand the meaning of mental ni ? She was lock up in a room with doctors monitoring her OR do you want him to take her to Psycho home ?

He granted a press briefing and told us his reasons, still people like you were still ranting..

And he sent her to her parent ..

What do you want him to do ?

They should be living together so that one night, she will strangle him to death abi ?

Na madness we dey talk o, no be typhoid or hiv or malaria ..

I wonder what you would have done if you were Chime ...
Ukuts gp: dont mind those evil beast talking nonsense here. If it was their sister will they allow one womanizer to maltreat her like that? I cant even imagine treating my wife like dat. And why should she leave her matrimonal home just because of one challenges she was facing. No wonder some men cannot manage their simple family and many are like that on this forum.
Lady Excellency: The Governor don't have the right to send her to her family home unceremoniously. She is not a piece of furniture.

The Governor was required to give her the freedom she desires or accept her request for medical rehabilitation overseas or at worst file for divorce.
The talk talk haf tire me abeg, santity, read those posts, that's my reply..... No matter how hard one tries, one can't ever knock sense into stone.

Frankychiji, your post is too long, lemme summarize, there is much more going on here than meets the eye....its not for me or you to deduce... I see you making assumptions and speaking on behalf of them..... How did you come about all these baseless assumptions, do you live with the couple?..... Oh I'm sorry, it must be from your vast pool of ideologies, I base my own theories from facts I've read.....not hearsay and rumours.

Fact is her rights are being infringed upon, do you expect a mentally unstable person hold a job, more so when she is under lock and key? Its not about being an airhead or anything, a man should cater to his wife's need not lock her up and neglect her, more so a sick one.

The only point I agree with is she should leave (as i stated in my first post) I guess she's scared to be alone, sick, with no money, plus other threats from the husband we wouldn't know about.

I'm no feminist, I just don't get the workings of some men's brains.... Mrs chime might not be a saint but no woman should be treated unjustly.

Okay Mr. Wiseman, since Mr. Chime has been so gracious as to allow her all these glorious favours, why is she not allowed to meet with family, why is she not granted her request for better medical care, why isn't she given enough of an allowance to take care of herself, why hasn't he been intimate with her in four years.... please lets try to do things in a civilised way, and stop using poverty as an excuse to do unsightly things. Haba!

these road side structures assist in building traffic, injuries and even death of these poor people. Most of the robbers in the area are the ones loitering around on the pretext of hawking or selling one useless thing.

please, lets have forward thinkers, and stop blaming it all on poverty.

dvee2: To be honest, @repogirl is right to a large extent. Are you disputing that Karu is in the outskirts? The hold up alone is enough to discourage anyone from staying there. And the hold up surely is as a result of millions residents running away from. The high rents in the city. That's the fact, it's not about running down your area. LoL

point still remains....

is it rowdy? Yes, street markets and bikers make motorists lives hell.
unplanned and filled with hold up? Yes, soon FCDA will pay you a visit and clear all those jampacked useless roadside structures.
cheaper rent than town? yes, very.
on the outskirts? Yes.
How are the roads? horrible, tiny main roads with bikes zooming left right and centre.....

okay, i exagerrated when i said its in Nasarawa but its close to anyway....... my point still remains getting a land there is a lot cheaper than in town. Finish.

What are you feeling like running down Karu area like that? Do you know Karu well? you Better go to karu & Lugbe to see the quality of houses in these places. Some of these houses are far better and a lot cheaper than those of these outrageously expensive estates mentioned by OPs.
By the way, Can you personally afford for a self contain in Karu or Lugbe? I bet u are living with someone where-ever in Abuja. Continue to dey form big babe on internet.
i laugh at your stup, idity and stu,pid assumptions, you dnt know me so shut your garri hole.... did i mention lugbe? karu and kuje are outskirts, thats my point..... those are the places most average people can afford to build cos land prices are not as cutthroat as in town.

karu might have fine houses, so what? You build a mansion in Ajegunle and u're forming big boy. The place is unplanned, rowdy plus its in Nasarrawa sef......its not in Abuja. Hold up is something else, street markets, narrow mainroad, in short the place is a slum.

lastly I'm trying to figure out where the internet big babe label is coming from? where did i mention i stayed with someone in an expensive area.

anyway, its obvious u r suffering from a complex because u live in a slum.....pele pele, e go better oneday.

Even oyibos sef have started moving into suncity small small, cos what they pay for a 3 bedroom flat in wuse and maitama can get them a 4 bedroom duplex here.

as for those talking bout building house, except you want to build in bushes and areas like karu, kuje, and outskirts, get 12 million ready for one plot of land, thats the cheapest u can get land and thats not even in town, just areas bordering oon town.

“You tricked me.” The reporter accused Princess

“I didn’t trick you... I only tried to make more money.” Princess said weakly, she couldn’t think of a better excuse. Did this idiot think she wasn’t going to make as much gain from the situation as she could? She was broke here and desperate.

“You gave the tip to the police before you even called me, i got there to meet the place already secure and a million other reporters there along with me! You promised me a scoop, that wasn’t our agreement.”

“Its not my fault the Nigerian police arrived there before you, who knew they would be so fast? I guess when a high profile citizen of the country was involved, they drop all else and move in.”

“You owe me, Princess! You owe me a scoop, I did not pay you all that money to get swindled like this!”

“Hey, Hey, I cant help you anymore, I’ve done my part!”

“Okay...I guess your boss will be happy to hear how reporters and police got to the scene before he did and how the newspapers got the story that he’d paid two million dollars for the release of his sister!”

“Alright, alright, Japheth! You need to calm down now.”

“Oh? Do I?”

“Yes! When something else comes up, I’ll get it to you, you’ll get your exclusive, are you happy now?” She screeched, this idiot was actually trying to get her into deeper shi’t.

“Make sure you keep to it because I’m serious about going to your boss.”

“Relax, I said you’ll get your exclusive.. why are you still on with the threats?”

“ I’m making sure we are clear on this!”
Princess shook her head, what had she gotten herself into now? “Clear as crystal!” She replied.

“Good.” Was his final word before the call went dead. Princess dropped her phone on the desk taking her head in her hands, now she had to start hoping the abductors would send her boss another mail. She hoped that once again she hadn’t bitten off more than she could swallow.
*********

Kite was surprisingly calm when the phone had been rudely yanked from her, the call had been too short, she’d not had enough of Ise’s soothing voice calming her nerves, giving her comfort. She resisted the urge to breakdown in tears, she missed him and couldn’t wait to see him again. She was sure he would do all he could to get her out of here. She should be happy she had gotten her message to him and now they had a chance of knowing who this person was.

She sighed, resting back on the wall. She thought about her family, her mom and brothers, it wasn’t the first time thoughts of them went through her head. She hoped they were okay, especially her mother, and she hoped Ise hadn’t told them yet, it would only get them a lot more worried. They had to keep this under wraps till it was behind them.

She looked up as the door to the room was being unlocked. What was it now? Were they coming to collect what she’d promised them? The Cartier wrist watch?

It was the woman, that came in, a portable stool in one hand and a gun in the other, the mask was on. Kite was too sure she was the mastermind behind the whole thing and couldn’t help wondering who she was?

She closed the door behind her, set the stool down and sat. “So...I guess I should get a ‘thank you’ for the phone call?” She started and Kite all but jumped. She knew that voice! She hadn’t bothered with muffling it this time.

Kite sat up, peering at the woman as if some how if she looked closer she would see through the mask.

“You and your fiancé, all lovey dovey....” She scoffed.

Fiancé? Kite wondered, Ise wasn’t exactly her fiancé yet, why did she think he was?

She continued, “love is a facade, you know? It isn’t real, at the moment all that’s going on between you two is pure lust.... You think you’re going to get married and live happily ever after with him?” She laughed, a low mocking sound “My dear, don’t delude yourself, I know men.... I’ve been around the block a few times and I realised, love isn’t real....All a man is good for is to be used for whatever can be gotten from him because trust me honey, when the lust wears off and reality sinks in.... he will dump you.

“You’re pretty, you might last a while.... but his family will look down on you, they know you are after his money, they will never respect you. I know, I’ve seen it happen many times, in the end, he’ll listen to them, he’ll heed to them....he’ll see what a mistake he made and wonder what he ever saw in you in the first place aside your beauty....and he’ll dump you. Oh and if you get married, and lord help you if you signed a prenup, a wise woman never signs a prenup.”

“Why are you telling me this?” Kite asked, wondering if the woman was talking more to herself than her, had she gone through a similar experience? She was seeing some sense in what she was saying and she didn’t want to. She tried to tell herself Ise was different but this womans words were cutting deep. “Did you go through this?”

“Oh no of course not, I’m from wealthy background, but I have been used one too many times and been stupid enough to fall in love with a man. Now, I just milk them for what they can offer and then do away with them.”

“Ise is different.”Kite muttered, trying to believe her own words but was fighting an almost losing battle with herself.

“Ise is a man, they’re all the same. It’s only a matter of time, tick tock…..”

Kite’s eyes widened and before she knew it, she muttered “ Vicky!”

There was a pause in the room and one could literally hear a pin drop. Kite was stunned. It was Vicky doing this?

Vicky laughed, pulling off the black cloth as she did so, revealing her face “I knew you’d guess who I was eventually, thats why I didn’t bother to mask my voice!”

“Why are you doing this? What did Ise ever do to you?” Kite asked shocked and bewildered all at once.

“Oh no, dear, you got it all wrong....it’s you whom I have a real problem with... you see, Ise and I were having a great time until you came in and spoilt our fun. Its you I have a grudge with, if not for you Ise would have been my next husband but you had to come in, didn’t you? Sunk your claws into him and refused to budge, I seriously do wonder what he really saw in a tramp like you?”

“Maybe he saw you for what you really were!” Kite retorted “unlike you, I like him for who he is and not what I can get from him. He must have sensed your wicked heart, he has really good instincts, you know?”

“Oh please, I bet he didn’t sense the abduction coming....” she said laughing at her own joke, a dark sound that sounded quite crazy “anyway we’re done here.” She got up and walked toward her, still speaking and she came closer “He offered up to five million dollars for you but I’ve made my decision.... hand me what you promised” She said stretching out her hand.

Without another word, Kite reached into her weave and pulled out the watch.

Vicky smiled, “such a slippery thing you are, no wonder my guys couldn’t find it on you.”

“You won’t get away with this! I’ve seen your face, the authorities will be after you….” Kite started but paused as Vicky burst into laughter

“Oh sweetheart, don’t you get it? That’s exactly the reason you wont be going back!”

It took a second to understand the meaning of her statement “Oh my God!” She breathed, the woman was going to kill her!
