Callum Hudson-Odoi has finally agreed to sign a new long-term deal with Chelsea in the coming weeks after a period of informal negotiations between the club and the player’s representatives. No paperwork has officially been signed, however, both Chelsea and Hudson-Odoi are satisfied the new deal can be concluded without any significant hitches, with the 18-year-old set to earn up to £100,000-per-week. Despite an initial reluctance to commit his future to the club he joined as a seven-year-old, Hudson-Odoi has steadily been persuaded to remain at Chelsea over the past months, buoyed by a string of first-team appearances under Maurizio Sarri and his full England international debut, before a ruptured Achilles brought an early end to his season. In-form Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen was on target as Sporting Charleroi defeated Beerschot-Wilrijk 3-0 in a Belgian top-flight and Uefa Europa League play-off tie on Saturday. Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen has linked up with Belgian club Sporting Charleroi on a permanent transfer from German outfit, Wolfsburg. Osimhen spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Sporting Charleroi and recorded 20 goals as well as four assists in 36 games in all competitions. According to a report in French online news outlet, Charleroi have activated the €3.5m buyout option in the agreement to make the forward their first signing of the summer. However, Charleroi are expected to sell the striker this summer with Italian giants AC Milan, Southampton and Lille already linked with the Nigeria international. Charleroi will demand between €12m and €15m from any of the suitors which will represent a significant profit for them. Osimhen joined Wolfsburg in 2017 following his exploits with Nigeria’s U17 side at the cadet World Cup in Chile in 2015 where he won the Golden Boot and Silver Ball awards. His time with Wolfsburg was blighted by injuries and he made just 14 league appearances for the club. Chelsea players and staff celebrated their Europa League triumph just as their manager would've wanted – with tobacco. Eden Hazard, who inspired the Blues to a 4-1 victory over Arsenal in Baku, was pictured smoking a massive cigar as he bid farewell to the Blues. The Belgian admitted he will probably join Real Madrid this summer – but not before one last celebration with his team-mates to cap off a trophy-laden Chelsea career. Goalkeeping coach Hilario shared photos and videos of the raucous post-match scenes, with Hazard at the centre of proceedings. One of the pictures featured Hazard and a cigar next to Hilario drinking from a beer bottle with the Europa League trophy between them. Another showed Maurizio Sarri and his coaching staff, including Gianfranco Zola, enjoying a smoke. Sarri arrived in England with a reputation for chain smoking and often chews cigarette butts on the touchline. Tobacco is more tolerated in Italian football, and a group of journalists from Italy even gifted Sarri a box of cigarettes after the thrashing of Arsenal. Chelsea have reportedly agreed to sell Eden Hazard to Real Madrid for £115million, with the Belgian playmaker set to sign a deal worth £400,000 per week. The Belgian footballer has been linked with a move to the Spanish club for some time and according to the Sun, a fee has now been agreed for the 28-year-old. Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez told the Sun: 'We are working on a project to make people dream again, where we recover our hunger and ambition. I have already lived through this stage before. 'I have a dream that Hazard will arrive this year. Let's make a good team this year. 'I am very interested in him coming to Real Madrid and I am very hopeful that he will come this year. He's one of the great footballers. 'Last year we wanted him, but this year he only has one year left on his contract and it is easier.' The report details that Chelsea will receive £100m with a possible further £15m in add-ons for the former Lille player. The Belgian playmaker is expected to sign a deal worth £400,000 per week. Fabio Quagliarella has capped off a brilliant season for Sampdoria after he secured the Capocannoniere (AKA the Serie A Golden Boot). The 36-year-old Italian forward topped the goalscoring charts in Serie A with 26, with Atalanta's Duván Zapata came second on 23 and AC Milan's Krzysztof Piątek came third with 22. Cristiano Ronaldo, who won the Serie A Player of the Year award in his debut season at Juventus, came fourth with 21. Quagliarella has made 39 appearances across all competitions this season -- 37 coming in Serie A and two in the Coppa Italia -- scoring 26 times in the Italian domestic league and assisting eight times. The Italy international has the most assists out of the top five scorers in Serie A, too. If there's anything to show how well he has performed in the final third this season, then it's the fact that he finished third in the race for the European Golden Shoe behind second-placed Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé and first-placed Barcelona captain Lionel Messi. Credit: PA Quagliarella's goalscoring exploits have even caught the attention of one of his former clubs, Napoli. In fact, Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis has said that the club are interested in bringing him back to the San Paolo. "I think he deserves this opportunity," he told Corriere dello Sport. "I don't think it'll be an economic issue for us or him. Rather it'll be a romantic solution for him to end his career in Naples after what happened to him last time." Credit: PA Sampdoria finished ninth in Serie A this season, while second-placed Napoli finished 11 points behind league champions Juventus. Juventus are on the hunt for a new manager after Massimiliano Allegri confirmed that he would leave the club at the end of the season. The 39-year-old has been a player for Al Sadd since 2015, having made 86 appearances for them, after leaving Camp Nou, but announced his retirement earlier this month. Xavi penned a two-year deal and will become the boss of his former La Liga rival, Gabi, who left Atletico Madrid last year. The idea is to start as a coach in Qatar, that there is not so much pressure, to prove myself and to gain experience, and the goal is to return to Europe and mainly to Barca," he told Marca. Xavi made his debut for Barcelona in 1998 and enjoyed a prolific 17 years in Catalonia before moving to Qatar. "I've had very long career," he added. "I am calm and I have the goal of being a coach. I have many concepts of football in my head and I would like to transmit them." The midfielder has played under a number of highly-rated coaches in his long career, but singled out two as the best of the bunch. "The two that have marked me the most have been Luis Aragones in the national team and [Pep] Guardiola, in Barca," he continued. Source: http://www.reportminds.com/?m=1 |

Chelsea’s most improved midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is facing up to 12 months out after suffering a devastating ruptured Achilles injury in the USA on Wednesday Night. Midfielder Loftus-Cheek collapsed in agony after damaging his left Achilles in Chelsea’s friendly at New England Revolution and left the Gillette Stadium on crutches with his foot in a protective boot. He had been on the pitch for only 20 minutes after being introduced as a half-time substitute. The 23-year-old, who misses Chelsea’s Europa League final against Arsenal on May 29 and England’s Nations League campaign next month, now fears he could be out for the whole of next season due to the severity of the injury. Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi suffered the same injury last month and is optimistic of returning in time to be involved in pre-season training. However, Hudson-Odoi is understood to have suffered a partial rupture while Loftus-Cheek’s was a full rupture — leading to the gloomier outlook and concerns the latter will have a significantly longer spell out of action. Loftus-Cheek could not put any weight on his left foot and needed the help of two members of the Chelsea staff to leave the pitch after he suffered the injury. Juventus' Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo acknowledges fans and celebrates after Juventus secured its 8th consecutive Italian Serie A championships on April 20, 2019. (Photo by AFP) Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has donated $1.5 million to the Palestinians in a move to alleviate the suffering of people in the besieged Gaza Strip. He allocated the fund to the Palestinians during the holy month of Ramadan. The soccer player has, in several occasions, denounced Israel's atrocities against the Palestinians. Back in 2012, Ronaldo had auctioned off his Golden Boot, the prestigious award given to the best European strikers of the season, to raise funds that were later donated to the Palestinian children. The following year, in March 2013, at the end of the match between Portugal and Israel for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, Ronaldo refused to exchange his shirt with an Israeli player. Veteran goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon, has been offered a one-year contract extension by Paris Saint-Germain. The Italian legend moved to PSG last summer from Juventus, where he had spent 17 years, on a one-year and it had appeared the French giants wanted to cut his stay short by not offering new terms. However, speaking to Sky Uno, Buffon has now revealed that the Ligue 1 side have made contact over a new deal. He said: “The club has offered me an extension, which makes me really happy. “We will look in a few days to examine this project and see if we both believe that it is good to continue together. “It’s going well in Paris. I have exceptional life experience at 41 years old. I arrived convinced that I would be involved as a player and as a person, and I found what I came for.” Earlier this month, German newspaper Sport Bild claimed PSG wanted to get rid of Buffon and recall Kevin Trapp from his loan spell at Eintracht Frankfurt to replace him. Buffon is now 41 years old and has shared PSG’s goalkeeping responsibilities with Alphonse Areola this season. The Italian has played 24 times – although only five times in the last 13 Ligue 1 clashes – while Areola has been in goal on 30 occasions in all competitions. read more here http://www.reportminds.com/2019/05/psg-offer-buffon-one-year-contract.html Cc Lalasticlala Mynd44 |
The club will pay tribute to the legendary 1998-99 side next term, with the new shirts being released on the 20th anniversary of the achievement Manchester United have unveiled their new home kit for the 2019-20 season, which is inspired by the legendary treble-winning side of 1998-99. David de Gea and Paul Pogba, two players whose futures at Old Trafford are in doubt, featured in the unveiling of the new adidas kit. The kit is released 20 years after Sir Alex Ferguson's men clinched the treble with a famous 2-1 comeback win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League final. In that game in Barcelona, Teddy Sheringham equalised in the 91st minute before current United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored a dramatic 93rd-minute winner. Callum Hudson-Odoi increasingly wants to stay at Chelsea and assurances he would be the man to replace Eden Hazard would help to ensure that he renews his contract, REPORTMINDS understands. Hazard looks likely to depart for Real Madrid after he confirmed in an interview after the final Premier League game of the season at Leicester on Sunday that he 'has made his decision' regarding his future. Madrid have yet to agree a fee with the Blues for their Belgian talisman as they haggle over a price between €100 million (£87m/$113m) and €130m (£113m/$146m). Meanwhile, Chelsea are trying to retain Hudson-Odoi, having previously taken a strong stance in rejecting Bayern Munich's four offers in January, even after the teenager handed in a transfer request to try to force a move to the Bundesliga table-toppers. The 18-year-old's desire to want a move away has softened after Maurizio Sarri gave him four Premier League starts in a row before he suffered an Achilles tendon rupture against Burnley in April. He underwent an operation in Spain and, now back in London, the England international is keen to resolve his future but he has yet to have a contract offer from Chelsea with talks likely to begin after the Europa League final against Arsenal on May 29. Like Bayern, Chelsea could offer Hudson-Odoi his preferred No.10 shirt which has been worn by Hazard for the past seven years. Bayern offered Hudson-Odoi the No.10 shirt that was worn by legendary winger Arjen Robben, and a starring role in their team as part of their January bid. They remain interested and could come back into contention for the youngster if talks don't progress well with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia. Manchester United are also interested in Hudson-Odoi but they would find it even harder than Bayern to sign him due to their rival status in the Premier League. All options remain open to Hudson-Odoi but Chelsea are well placed to secure a contract renewal. The London-born winger, meanwhile, is also aiming for an early recovery from a similar injury which previously kept Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny out for six months. He is loosely targeting a return for the start of the Premier League season in August after a successful operation but he won't be allowed to rush back by Chelsea's medical staff. The club’s Young Player of the Year said that he was feeling good at the awards ceremony last week. "I think the surgery went really well. Everything went perfectly as I wanted it to. I am really happy to win the award. I think the season went well and I feel that every time I have played I felt more confident and I enjoyed it," Hudson-Odoi said at the Under the Bridge venue in west London. "I enjoyed every moment of playing. I just need to keep working hard and hopefully get more opportunities." Chelsea's decision to not begin talks with Hudson-Odoi, and regarding other club issues, may relate to the transfer ban, which is likely to affect negotiations with several of their players. The previous record was held by another Fulham player, Matthew Briggs, who made his Premier League debut aged 16 years and 68 days against Middlesbrough in May 2007. Caretaker Cottagers boss Scott Parker said: “It was a massive moment for Harvey. “I said to the boys he’s not entering the field for sentimental reasons or he’s a young kid because we want to give him a record. He deserves it and has shown enough quality in the last four weeks in training. “He is a special talent, he’s one we are going to look after and nurture and we’re going to try to turn him into a top player.” Elliott made his senior debut as a substitute in a 3-1 win over Millwall in the Carabao Cup in September aged just 15 years and 174 days. Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Fredi Bobic is adamant that the club have had no contact with Real Madrid over a potential transfer for Luka Jovic despite reports a deal has been agreed. Media in Spain had claimed that the two clubs had agreed a €60 million (£51m/$67m) deal for the 21-year-old, who has scored 26 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions this season. Bobic, who said last month that a deal with Madrid is a "real possibility", has forcefully denied the most recent claims of a completed deal insisting there have been no discussions. "There has been no contact with Real Madrid," Bobic told ESPN FC. "For once, I don't have to use a white lie, they really haven't been in touch yet. I know them very well." Jovic has enjoyed a breakout campaign for Frankfurt this season, his second at the club after arriving on loan from Benfica last term. Scoring nine times all competitions in 2017-18, Jovic has found the net 17 times in the Bundesliga this term, helping Frankfurt compete for a top-four place and Champions League football in 2019-20. The reigning DFB-Pokal champions sit in fourth on 54 points and could extend their advantage to five points to fifth place with a victory over Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday with two matchdays remaining. Frankfurt could also secure Champions League football next season by winning the Europa League – a feat still possible thanks to Jovic's nine goals in the competition this year helping them to reach the semi-finals. Jovic found the back of the net to open the scoring in Thursday's first leg in Germany against Chelsea, though a Pedro equaliser secured a valuable 1-1 result and away goal for the visiting Blues. The Serbia striker's goalscoring prowess this season has seen Frankfurt make his loan from Benfica permanent in April, but also had his name linked to many of Europe's top clubs. Jovic has most recently been linked to Madrid, but also has been rumoured to be on the radar of their Liga rivals Barcelona, as well as Premier League sides like Chelsea and Manchester City. He will aim to knock the Blues out of the Europa League on Thursday at Stamford Bridge and, if successful, look to lead Frankfurt to glory in the final in Baku against either Arsenal or Valencia. Real Madrid believe they have closed the signing of Serbian international Luka Jovic, with forward Mariano Diaz likely to move in the opposite direction. Diario AS reported that Madrid will pay €60million (£51m) for the 21-year-old with €48m (£40.8m) going to Eintracht Frankfurt and €12m (£10.2m) going to Benfica, who still own a percentage of the player’s rights. Brilliant Trick Melts Belly Fat Overnight... Brilliant Trick Melts Belly Fat Overnight (Do This Tonight!) Diaz will not move in exchange but in a separate transfer that will take the financial sting out of Madrid’s second signing after they secured defender Eder Militao from Porto. Barcelona had taken an interest in Jovic but withdrew from the race to sign him because of the price. Jovic has impressed all season with 26 goals in 44 games and he scored against Chelsea in Frankfurt's Europa League semi-final first leg on Thursday night. He has also helped the Bundesliga side challenge for a place in next season's Champions League. They are currently fourth place with three games left to play. He is expected to join on a six-year deal and will seemingly spearhead Zinedine Zidane's overhaul of personnel this summer after a disappointing campaign that has seen them way off Barcelona in La Liga and knocked out of the Champions League in the last-16. Title contenders Liverpool will finish with 97 if they win their two remaining matches, a tally that would have been enough to win the title in any other Premier League season apart from the 2017-18 campaign. “The standards we created last year at Manchester City, people know that you have to be close to 100 (to win the league),” Guardiola told reporters. “Before it was 90. “This standard was last season, we helped Liverpool to achieve it and Liverpool helped us to keep going (this season). It is thanks to Liverpool that we are competing. “Liverpool know that to win you have to make a lot of points. That’s what we communicate to anyone.” Guardiola never reached 100 points with former teams Barcelona or Bayern Munich. Last season, City suffered only two defeats to win the league title by 19 points over second-placed Manchester United. “One hundred points in a season — if you want to compete, you have to do that,” Guardiola added. “When Usain Bolt runs the 100 metre race, that’s the standard and the others have to achieve it. It’s like Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, that’s the same.” City play Burnley away on Sunday followed by Leicester City at home next weekend before finishing the season with a trip to Brighton and Hove Albion on May 12. Of the three, City lost the reverse fixture at Leicester in December. Read more https://www.reportminds.com/2019/04/teams-will-need-100-points-to-beat-man.html Cc Lalasticlala Mynd44 |
