Arsenal have paid a glowing tribute to their Nigerian winger, Alex Iwobi celebrating the occasion of his senior debut appearance for the Gunners, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Iwobi, 22, joined the Gunners while still at primary school and was first involved in a first-team match as an unused substitute in a League Cup match against West Bromwich Albion on September 25, 2013.

He however made his first-team debut for the club, starting in a 3–0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in a League Cup Round of 16 tie on 0ctober 27, 2015.
Iwobi’s first Premier League outing came four days later in a 3-0 win against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium. He came on as a late substitute for Mesut Ozil in the encounter.

The talented winger has made 71 Premier League appearances for the Gunners despite the presence of well established stars in the team, scoring nine goals.

Lionel Messi has been ruled out of next week's El Clasico after Barcelona confirmed he fractured his arm in Saturday's win over Sevilla at the Nou Camp.

Messi went down awkwardly in the 17th minute of the clash, and although he returned to the pitch with strapping on his right arm, he was eventually forced off nine minutes after the incident to be replaced by Ousmane Dembele.

After the match, Barca posted a tweet confirming the injury.

It read: "Tests carried out on the first team player Leo Messi have confirmed that he has a fracture of the radial bone in his right arm. He will be out for approximately three weeks."

Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has reportedly sealed a deal with Spanish giants Real Madrid to take over the team.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, the Italian would take over once Julen Lopetegui is sacked as the team’s manager.

Lopetegui has been under fierce pressure as the Spanish team has not won a game in their last four encounters.

And there are more reports from Spain that Lopetegui would lose his job as the club’s gaffer since the management is not at home with his poor showing thus far.

Conte is said to be on standby and might likely take charge of the team before their next El Clasico tie with Barcelona.

Defence

Abdullahi Shehu: The full-back’s returned to the fold, and should have enough to resume duties on the right side of the defence, even if he was unceremoniously jettisoned during the World Cup.

Leon Balogun: Despite his relative inactivity with new club Brighton & Hove Albion, Balogun will retain his spot in defence. He’s started 12 of Nigeria’s last 14 games.

William Troost-Ekong: Expect the Udinese centre-back to return to the starting XI after missing the Seychelles game. He’ll contribute leadership to the backline, and Balogun typically looks stronger with Troost alongside him.

Ahmed Musa: Nigeria’s most potent attacking outlet will start in support of Ighalo and Kalu, and his pace will likely be a key weapon as the Super Eagles look to break down their opponents’ resolute backline.

Odion Ighalo: He’s in excellent form in China, having netted 20 goals this season, and looks to be an undisputed starter even if he isn’t completely to the taste of Nigeria fans. He scored against the Seychelles, and would win over a swathe of admirers if he could net against Libya.

She was not sick, she went to bed and never woke up again, those were the lamentations of the elder brother of Super Eagles and Standard Liege midfielder Uche Agbo as he broke the sad news of the demise of their mother.


The mother of the Super Eagles midfielder died in the Coal City of Enugu and it is understood that Uche who plays his club football in Belgium with Standard Liege is currently in town as a result of the death of his mother.
Uche Agbo’s older brother, Oliver, told SCORENigeria: “We have lost our mum.


“She didn’t deserve to die now because she suffered to raise us up but did not reap the fruits of her labour.”


The former Jigawa Golden Stars midfielder recalled she supported he and his three brothers in their football career.


He said, “All of us in the family are footballers. She believed in our talent and encouraged us with the little money she had to buy boots and any other football kits we needed.
“It’s still like a dream that my mum is no more because she was not sick.”
The former jigawa golden star player busted into tears as he hung up the phone.


Uche got his first call-up to the senior Nigeria side to replace the injured Leon Balogun for a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia in October 2016.
On June 1, 2017, he did get his international debut for Nigeria in a 3–0 win against Togo in a friendly where he replaced Wilfred Ndidi.
He was selected for Nigeria’s preliminary 30-man squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.


However, he did not make the final 23.
Born in Kano, Uche started playing for local lowly Bai Boys, and moved to Taraba in 2010.
In May 2011 he signed for JUTH, and appeared regularly for the side, scoring once.
In January 2012 Uche joined Enyimba International along with teammate James Amankwei.

Veteran Nigerian comedian, actor and dramatist, Moses Olaiya Adejumo popularly known as Baba Sala is dead.



According to family sources, Baba Salah, 82, died around 10pm on Sunday October 7, 2018, in his home in Ilesa, Osun State.



His daughter, Oyindamola Adejumo Ayibiowu confirmed his death this morning on Facebook saying, 'goodnight, my great dad, Moses Olaiya Adejumo (Baba Sala). I'm proud to be your daughter, your legacy lives on!'.

His son, Adejumo Boisala Emmanuel also wrote, 'my Daddy is gone. Finally gone home to glory. King of Comedy finally say bye-bye to this world. I will miss you so much Daddy. I love you so much but God love you more. Good night my mentor, father, teacher, gist partner. My daddy is gone'.

His remains has since been deposited at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex Annex, (Wesley Guild Hospital) in Ilesa.



The late entertainment legend had struggled with his health in the last 4 years. He was diagnosed with stroke and spent a long time at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Oyo state.

Singer, Chuddy K, has been off the radar for quite some time. He recently disclosed the reason for his absence to Sunday Scoop.

Gushing about his experience as a father of newborn twins, Chuddy K said, “Fatherhood has been an awesome experience for me. There have also been a lot of vigils. They are twins and they have different times of sleeping. Sometimes, they sleep at 2am only to wake up at 3am. It has really been a funny experience for me. I have experienced fatherhood before; but not on a double dose.”

On the major sacrifice he has made for his children, the singer said, “I have sacrificed a bit of my career and time just to build a family. Family is supposed to be the number one thing in one’s life. It is bigger than your career, fan base, and any other thing that you stand for. It is the will of God for every man. I am passing through that phase and I’m loving it. Trust me, I’m coming out with something great. I just have to settle down because I don’t just want to be a baby daddy; I want to be involved in my children’s lives. There’s a lot of craziness going on around about celebrities and baby mothers and I just wanted to remove myself from all that. You can say that I took a break because settling down is a form of break. However, I am back for the music now.”

Explaining the type of music he will be making now, the Gaga Crazy singer said, “I’m just going to be me. In the music industry, one has to evolve and bring out something fresh and unique.”

The singer also stated that he is ready to build his career again. “I’m not afraid of starting all over again. If you have music in you, it will always be there. It is not something you force or learn. I know that I am a face and brand. People know Chuddy K; all I need is to come back with a fantastic song and they would forget that I was ever away. Frank Lampard will return to Stamford Bridge after his Derby County side were drawn against Chelsea in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

Chelsea legend Lampard is in his first season in management after taking over at Championship side Derby County in the summer.

Last week he beat his mentor Jose Mourinho as Derby defeated Manchester United on penalties in the third round of the competition at Old Trafford.

The Chelsea-Derby tie is one of 12 to be played in the week commencing October 29 with Tottenham versus West Ham and Burton Albion versus Nottingham Forest two derby games.

The father of Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick has been announced as one of two joint-head coaches of The Panthers
Aubameyang is set to work under his father, Francois at the national team outfit, following the latter's appointment as one of two joint-head coaches on Thursday.

53-year-old Aubameyang Snr, together with former Panthers' striker Daniel Cousin, is set to lead the central African side after the departure of Spanish coach Jose Antonio Camacho.

Francols Amegasse, who like Aubameyang Snr and Cousin once captained the Panthers, has been named the new general manager of the team.

"Given the urgency and the current situation, it was decided to constitute around the Panthers of Gabon a group of coaches with a very good knowledge of Gabonese football and its environment," the Gabon Football Federation, Fegafoot announced.

"Therefore, we have as national coaches Pierre François Aubameyang and Daniel Cousin, while Francois Amegasse will act as General Manager.

"These three former captains of the national football team deserve, with their strong knowledge on the field and experience of top level competitions, to transmit their experience and tactical abilities to the team.

"The staff, as formed, have as their primary mission to qualify Gabon’s Panthers for the next Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon."

Gabon, currently sit third in Group C of the qualifiers, five and three points adrift of first and second-placed Mali and Burundi respectively. South Sudan is bottom of the group.

The Panthers, who were held to a 1-1 home draw by Burundi earlier this month, next face the Bright Stars in a double-header in October.

Video footage shows the moment Super Eagles attacking midfielder and Arsenal star Alex Iwobi lands a savage slap on the back of the young Frenchman’s head.

The sound of the connection makes a large thud and the 19-year-old is sent rocking forward.

He then turns around to give his team-mate a stern warning.

Some Arsenal fans found it hilarious.

Ibrahimovic, who scored to reduce Toronto's lead to 3-1 before half-time, joined Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona's Lionel Messi as the third active player to score 500 goals between club and country.

The stunning goal took Ibrahimovic's tally to 17 for the season, 11 adrift of MLS leader Josef Martinez.
