Alternative singer Adekunle Gold, has explained the reason behind him reaching out to former MTN Project Fame Winner, Olawale, who was seen riding an Uber.

Few weeks ago, Olawale was spotted driving an Uber and some Nigerians mocked him on how he went from being a winner to a driver.

Milan’s home kit for next season has been revealed, marking a return to their classic look.

One of the surprises was Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko who was among those stars that model the jersey.

Reports have it that the Serie A side will be hoping to make the former Monaco player deal permanent.

The new shirt sports thin red-and-black stripes, akin to their 2011-12 home jersey and also the one they wore during their centenary 98-99 campaign.

In a chat with Saturday Beats, Olawunmi noted that she already had peace about her relationship with Teddy A before the reunion show. However, the lie detector test further influenced the level of peace she had about their love affair.

“I enjoyed myself in the house until people started stressing me about being fake. Even though I never knew where my relationship with Teddy A was going; I knew that I liked him and being with him gave me peace.

“I am someone who lives in the moment. I was consistent from the beginning to the end of the show,” she said.

Olawunmi who is known for being stylish and elegant, was recently gifted with a car by her fans to celebrate her 30th birthday. The news about the car gift went viral and she received a backlash from some celebrities speculating that the presentation of the birthday gift was staged.


“I was blown away when my fans presented a car to me on my birthday. I have always loved that brand of car because it is easy to maintain.

“I feel honoured that they put their monies together to get that for me. Contrary to rumours making the rounds that they were about 300 of them who contributed money, the fans who bought me that car were not even up to 10. It was just a few of them who have money that decided to sacrifice their cash to buy me the car.

“People will always talk; they are entitled to their opinions. I don’t get offended by opinions and speculations because they don’t know me personally.

“Propaganda sells, so when it sounds like a lie and exaggerated, they tend to believe it as the truth.

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has moved to provide support for former Nigeria star and coach Christian Chukwuemeka Chukwu who is currently very sick.

Earlier reports on Sunday had it that the former defender of the Green Eagles and captain of the 1980 Africa Cup of Nations-winning team is in need of the sum of $50,000 to carter for his health challenge.

The stated amount is meant to pay for Chukwu’s round trip to the United States of America, his surgery, medication and general after-surgery care.

But according to a statement on NFF website on Sunday, the President of the Federation, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick is now aware of the matter and has given instructions to relevant authorities.

“I am not in Nigeria presently but I have asked the NFF Acting President, Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi to take full charge and ensure that this matter is treated promptly,” Pinnick said.

“It was for this kind of development that I spoke about the welfare foundation for our legends at the 2nd AITEO-NFF Awards in Lagos on 1st April 2019.

Recall that The son of ex Manchester United star Paul Scholes has been pictured arriving at court as the teenager prepares to be sentenced for assault.

Arron Scholes, 19, was seen entering Tameside Magistrates' Court this morning after his conviction for beating 21-year-old Robert Kemper.

He left his victim with blood shot eyes and bruises all over his face after the unprovoked attack on the day of England's 2-1 victory over Tunisia in last year's World Cup.

Arron Scholes has been found guilty of beating up the former school friend then taking pictures of his injuries during a 'happy slap-style' attack.

During the attack at the Granby Arms in Uppermill, Greater Manchester, Mr Kemper - who was drunk - was seen lying flat on his back and offering no resistance while Scholes beat him about the face.

The incident occurred on June 18 last year after Mr Kemper had been drinking heavily after watching world cup match with friends.

Chelsea striker, Gonzalo Higuain on Thursday announced his retirement from international football with Argentina.

Higuain scored 31 goals in 75 appearances for the Albiceleste.

The 31-year-old last played for Argentina at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia where they defeated Nigeria 2-1.

Higuain, who joined Chelsea in January on a loan from Juventus, said his decision to quit international football was due to family reasons.

“My time with Argentina is over. Thinking things through in-depth, my time is up,” Higuain told Fox Sports.

“To the delight of many, now I will only look at it from the outside. I have spoken to (manager Lionel) Scaloni and told him my point of view.

“I’ve made the decision because I want to enjoy my family, I want to spend time with my daughter, and at the same time, I feel that I gave my country everything I could.”

ADAM Johnson has been released from prison after serving half his sentence for child sexual offences.

The disgraced footballer was driven out of Morland Prison in Doncaster in the middle of the night by his father David in a blacked-out Mercedes van. The vehicle was later seen pulling into Ex-Sunderland and Manchester City player Johnson’s County Durham home. The 31-year-old was due to be released after serving three years for child sex offences.

Johnson was jailed for six years in 2016 after grooming, kissing and touching a 15-year-old girl.

Following his early release, the shamed footballer will be closely monitored and he must register his address.

Johnson has reportedly been banned from spending time alone with his four-year-old daughter.

He will only be able to see her with a social worker present.

A source told The Sun: “Johnson will be treated like any other convicted sex offender. He's a free man, but it comes at a heavy price.”

Johnson may have to hand in his phone to officials and could be banged up again if he deletes anything without their knowledge.

The former Manchester United and England midfielder took over as Oldham boss on February 11, and leaves the club after just 31 days in charge at Boundary Park.

Scholes won his first match at the helm of his hometown club, but subsequently drew three and lost three games during his brief spell in charge.

Former Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach, Louis van Gaal, has announced his retirement from football at the age of 67.

The Dutchman man who also coached his country has been out of work since he was sacked by the Manchester United board at the end of the 2015-16 season,just two days after winning the FA Cup.



Van Gaal announced his retirement while speaking on Dutch TV show VTBL: 'I am a pensioner now. I have no ambition to be a technical director or a TV pundit.

'My wife Truus gave up her job for me 22 years ago, and followed me when I went abroad.

'I told her I would quit as a coach when I turned 55, but instead kept going until I was 65.

'She is entitled to have a life with me outside of football. I can say she is very happy.

'I think I could have worked as a technical director, but in this role, you can't attend training or say anything for fear it won't suit the coach, directors or media. I don't think I want a job like that.'

Before his retirement, Louis van Gaal won one Champions League, four Dutch league titles, two La Ligas, a Bundesliga and led Holland to third at the 2014 World Cup.

Suspected kidnappers have abducted the mother of Super Eagles’ midfielder, Samuel Kalu.

Mrs. Kalu was driving with some of her children along the Okpulu Umuobo area of Aba, Abia State, last week when the unidentified gunmen blocked her vehicle, ordered the children out of the car and took her away.

A source close to the family said the kidnappers initially demanded a N50 million ransom, but later increased it, as they believe they would get more from the Girondins Bordeaux star.


Kalu who plays his football with Bordeaux in France was informed of the situation immediately. It is now known if he will be in action for Bordeaux when they take on Montpellier in a Ligue 1 game on Tuesday, March 5.

LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp again used the weather as an excuse after being held to a goalless draw by Everton.



Liverpool are now second in the Premier League table, one point behind leaders Manchester City.

The Merseyside debry ended in a goalless at Goodson Park on Sunday.

“Very, very difficult game for different reasons,” Klopp said.

“A wild opponent and – I know people don’t like it when I say this – the wind came from all different directions, you saw that in a lot of situations.

“It didn’t help any football play, especially when the ball was in the air which it was a lot.





“In a game that was difficult to control because of those things, we had I think three or four really big chances.”

It’s not the first time Klopp has blamed the weather for Liverpool dropping points.
After their 1-1 draw with Leicester at Anfield last month, Klopp blamed the snow on the pitch for the struggles.

The German has previously blamed the wind too, having been knocked out of the EFL Cup by Southampton in the 2017 semi-finals.

He had said: “First half, it was difficult – the wind was really strange, it was difficult to handle.

“You saw one or two balls when the ball stopped in a moment when nobody knew about it. That was difficult for a football-playing side.”

And the wind was at fault in the FA Cup this season, when Wolves beat Klopp’s Liverpool.

Bolatito Sowunmi, who played the role of Miss Pepeye in the comedy series “Papa Ajasco” for over 10 years has once again reiterated why she left the comedy while speaking to The Punch.


She said; “I resigned from WAP because I felt that the role was no longer challenging. I had acted the role for a decade and the character, Pepeye, had to wear a lot of costumes and make-up that covered my features. A lot of people know and appreciate my work as Miss Pepeiye and I have a lot of fans but they don’t know how I look. So, I noticed that the character was limiting me and I wasn’t growing. As an actor, you have to evolve. I became so comfortable with being Miss Pepeiye that if you woke me up in the middle of the night, I would play the character without even looking at the script. I had to quit because the industry is highly competitive and people have to see how versatile you are. I didn’t have any quarrel with them; I resigned the proper way and asked for blessings from the chairman, which he gave me.”



And on Challenges she has faced, she said; “There are really no challenges I cannot surmount because of the passion I have for the job. When you love what you do, you won’t even see the challenge. For me, it has always been about getting better and improving at what I do. Meeting veterans in the industry never intimidated me in any way because we are all unique in our various ways and nobody can act like you. They are just people I can celebrate and learn from.”

On the issue of promiscuity, with her character as Miss Pepeiye, she said, “It is funny how people compare you with the character that you play on screen. Miss Pepeiye is troublesome and can do anything for money. Some people have the perception that the character they see you play on television and your real life personality are the same. However, I don’t even have a little trace of Miss Pepeiye’s character in me. She is an extrovert and I am a chronic introvert.”



And about other interests and her relationship status, she said, “I am a model and an entrepreneur. I am also a skincare specialist and lifestyle consultant. I help people look younger than their age. It is private because it is my personal life. However, I like someone who is focused and intelligent. “Two testimonies: The first is that on February 2nd, I came late for the Holy Ghost Service. After the service, I went to see Daddy in his office and he said he wanted to pray for me. My wife, Dolly, and I knelt down as he prayed, ‘Father, I want you to give special protection to your son.’

“He prayed that three times and stopped. Then he prayed it again.I was getting worried about why he had to pray that way. But anyway, later that day the helicopter I was travelling in crashed in Kabba. All 12 of us in the helicopter survived without a scratch. I want to bless the name of the Lord for that.

On his Second term victory as Buhari’s Vice President, Osinbajo attributed his victory to God’s doing and no other force.

“My second testimony is that on February 23, I was re-elected with President Buhari, for a second term as Vice President and I want to praise the Lord. Praise Jesus. Who did it?
‘Jesus!”, Osinbajo added.

Idowu Philips, popularly known as Iya Rainbow recently recalled how she survived after death of her husband. She also revealed the real reason why she wasn’t able to remarry after his abrupt death. In an interview with Punch, she retorted, “Over my dead body would I get married again. My husband closed (my heart) with a padlock and he went away with the key.”


“I don’t trust the men of these days. There was one that said he wanted to marry me but he ran away after he saw all my kids. I have forgotten how to want a man. With five kids to cater for, I had no thoughts of that. In those days, I could go to four different locations in a day, to tell you how hard I was working to make money to take care of my children.”




Recalling how her late husband died, she said, “I can never forget the day my husband died in 1984. I felt the world was going to end on that day. He was my alpha and omega. I used to be a nurse but he was the one that made me to become an actress. As a matter of fact, during his burial, I told people to put all our children with him in the grave that I didn’t want them again. The shock was just too much for me to bear. Imagine one becoming a widow at the age of 42.”



Despite being a nurse, Iya Rainbow expressed frustration that she was unable to save her former husband from the cold hands of death. She said, “I took him to several hospitals such as the General Hospital in Lagos. I was a staff member of the hospital then and immediately I took him there, he was attended to. To be fair, the doctors tried their best but God had the final say. When a person reaches his or her bus stop, he or she has to come down. He eventually died at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.”




The veteran actress also recalled that many people promised to help the family immediately after the demise of her husband but majority of them did not fulfil their promises. “There were a lot of promises but after a short while, many of them didn’t check up on us again. He was buried in Awe, Oyo State, and many people practically turned their backs on us after the ceremony,” she said.

Top Yoruba actor , Ojo Arowosoge a.k.a Fadeyi Oloro, has been hospitalized at a general hospital in Lagos, over a strange illness.

Recall that Weeks ago, Baba Suwe sought help on his failing health, after he was diagnosed with chronic diabetes.

The Yoruba movie industry has now received another sad news as, a video of Fadeyi Oloro, critically ill has now surfaced online.

Fadeyi, who was quite popular in the 80s and 90s for his role as a herbalist in movies, especially with his trademark costume, has been hospitalized at Ile Epo General Hospital, Lagos and begging Nigerians for financial assistance.

Sometime ago, the veteran actor revealed that he will become a clergyman in the nearest future.

Fadeyi revealed this while campagining for president Buhari along some other popular Nollywood Stars in February.

Dancehall star Shatta Wale's baby mama Michy has bought a new house after the two ended their relationship.

The news of the new house was announced on social media by Michy herself who shared a photo and video of the house.

In the photo shared on Michy's Instagram stories, one could see an uncompleted building with the inscription "bought a house with a beautiful view. Thank you, Lord" boldly written on the photo.

The video shared on the same platform by Michy revealed an almost completed building with a dog barking in the background.

Ex-BB Naija housemate, Vanessa Emikhe-Williams aka Vandora, has been named the host of a new television show, ‘Our Perfect Wedding’.

The announcement was made by Multichoice Chief Customer Officer- Martin Mabutho at the media screening of the new TV show in Lagos.

Chinese League One club Sichuan Longfor have completed the signing of Super Eagles striker Aaron Samuel on undisclosed terms.

The 24-year-old joins Sichuan Longfor as a free agent after mutually terminating his contract with Israeli club Beitar Jerusalem in December 2018.

In his first spell in China with Guangzhou R&F from 20147-2017, Samuel contributed to 22 goals (15 goals, 7 assists) in 35 appearances.

He later moved on loan to CSKA Moscow in February 2016 before joining the Russian club on a permanent deal in January 2017.
