What exactly do you write i.e articles, poems, scripts, etc? If you run into a wall in coming up with ideas, write about it. It always works for me. For example, you could write a poem or a short story about it. It always works for me. Overall, its only a phase and it will soon pass. Good luck |

I don't need to know the details of the day to day life of Jesus. The essentials have been captured in the Bible and that is good enough for me. The truth is that even if I die today and realize that Heaven and Hell do not exist and Jesus isn't what he claims to be, I'll still be happy I lived my life as a christian. |
Quite typical of you to be the first person to respond to this post Quite typical of you also to have edited my post to suit yourself Yeah I know about the Mithraic doctrine. Matter of fact, I discovered from research that Mithraism can be viewed from several perspectives viz, the Roman, Iranian and even Indian. Atheistic scholars have over the ages tried fruitlessly to equate mithraism to christianity often touting the former as the progenitor of the latter. Needless to say that it has been a futile effort so far. Click on the link below to help your understanding:http://www.tektonics.org/copycat/mithra.html Now, back to the original topic, has Therationa being able to convince any Christian or Great one about the non-existence of God of even caused you to question your belief a bit? Please testify for all to see, Anyone here |
MC Usman:I hear you. And that's coming from a guy based in Monrovia. When last where you in Nigeria? Kano has vast area with population densely spread across indeed! ![]() |
I have read new posts from Therationa day in and day out bashing Christianity and trying to prove the non-existence of the one true God. Seeing that this has become a full time vocation for him, I was just wondering if he has managed to gain any new converts to his beliefs. Any nairalander with a testimony about the goodness of unbelief? Anyone? |
@ poster Ajimobi cannot govern Oyo because he is too intelligent and arrogant? No wonder you have thugs and half-educated policemen running things in that state. Shame on you man!!! |
Sad day for Nigeria indeed!! For me, its not about the personalities involved. I am not a fan of any of the three politicians involved. However, we all know what we saw during the elections and I strongly believe that this judgement is an aberration and a collective slap on the faces of all Nigerians. Neways, nuff said, at least yar'adua aka baba go slow can pick up speed in developing and implementing more policies. For instance, the power sector needs urgent intervention. |
almondjoy:No Almondjoy, PDP did not win Abia. According to this "learned" judge, PPA won with an overwhelming majority. But because the governor failed to resign his appointment 30 days to the elections and is allegedly a member of a secret cult, the "overwhelming majority" who voted him as their governor have been disenfranchised while the minority who voted for PDP have now carried the day. Twisted logic if you ask me. I do not think this grossly illogical verdict will stand the test of an appeal because if it does, it will set a dangerous precedent viz: If you lose at the polls, you can still be declared winner if you capitalize on such trivial technicalities as done by this judge. I am not a lawyer but in my own humble and "un-learned" opinion, methinks that this judge, having found as he did that the PPA fielded a candidate that breached certain aspects of the electoral law, should have nullified the election and called for fresh elections from which the incumbent PPA candidate would be excluded and replaced with a more credible candidate. But then again, I am not "learned" now, am I? ![]() |
hotshawlng:Bros you dey vex o!!! D guy collect your woman? Nah men, the song is ok, coming from a Nigerian in that genre. |
Some mothers do have em, ![]() |
quinofhart:Madam, I will not join issues with you and I will pretend like I did not perceive the same condescending tone you are accusing me of in your response to my post. However, whether anyone likes it or not, Nigeria will continue to play a major role in international politics and the well being of its citizens abroad and even at home, could be affected negatively or positively depending on who is running things. The main issue with us as Nigerians is that we focus too much on the small picture without bothering to look at the big one. We all are aware of the issues we have back home and enough has been said and is still been said about that already. It doesn't change anything as only God can save this country. The US elections will continue to be on the front burner of global discourse till the elections hold, bye |
@ Sabisabi, sabinuthin, you are such a simpleton!!!! For ur info, d president of the US is indirectly the President of the world. So if all u r interested in is politics at ur local government level, pele!!! If u r tired of hearing about Obama, move over to the joke forum, |
Next up, Yaradua!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

But you really need to stop this pointless pursuit. It was pointless centuries ago and it is still pointless today. the atheist pursuit would have been crushed centuries ago if it had no merit. Therationa, name me one of the merits. You only need to evaluate your efforts on Nairaland so far to see the pointlessness of your exploits. I mean, how many people have you, Horus and all the other non-believers think you have managed to convince with all your historical research? All you guys have managed to do is expose yourself as God haters, which is ok (Like I said before, it does not make God any less God) I have challenged you to try this your christianity bashing on the great religion for a change. I have no problem with Atheism. Its not my place to judge you. That is an exclusive preserve of God whom I believe in. However, if your own version of Atheism is based solely on trying to dispute the existence of God as believed by Christians, then it is pointless as it has been over the ages. Christianity has waxed stronger and stronger and i expect that by now, you should realize that it is absolutely pointless to stand in the way of this racing train. The Church of God is marching on and the gates of hell shall not prevail!!!! |
@ Therationa Pretty soon, no one is going to read your posts anymore, You know why? You are becoming boring with your hackneyed attacks on Christianity. Perhaps you should do some research on the great religion for a change abi you dey fear? Get a life Bro!!! ![]() |
@ Poster U know it is really strange how we as modern day christians pick and select what aspects of the word applies to modern day and those that have lost relevance or where preached for a specific group of people that existed in biblical days. So what exactly is the aim of your post? Is it to condemn the modern day interpretation of Malachi 3:8-10 or to condemn the paying of tithes? All you did was undertake a long and windy treatise that was nether here nor there. Needless to say, the very foundation of your post was neither here nor there. In trying to trace the origin of tithing, you referred to Numbers 18:25-28 where the Levites were directed to remit 10 percent of the 10 per cent they receive from the Israelites, to God. The bottomline here is that the people of God had been directed to pay tithes to men of God who were in turn requested to remit a similar token to the house of God. There is no dispute to that. It is pertinent for you to note here that God does not eat this 10 per cent but it was meant for the use or consumption of the people who work in the temple. The 10 per cent he asked the levites to remit was for the day to day running of the temple. While I agree with you that certain modern day preachers go about it wrongly, it is nothing new. There is absolutely nothing new under the sun as far as Christianity is concerned. Over the ages, men have consistently tried to disprove or prove the existence of God and denigrate his commandments. It hasn't added or subtracted from his Godhood. God willl be God and his word will remain his word whether you believe it or not. If you don't believe in paying tithes, don't! We shall all answer for ourselves when the time comes. |
@ Poster Homosexualism is a sin! Homosexuals are sinners as are thieves, liars, fornicators, etc. God loves sinners but detests sin. That is why he wants them to repent and be saved! The bible expressly condemns homosexuality and bestialism but even if it doesn't condemn same sex marriage, it does not recommend it. The Bible was clear on the relationship between man and woman and surely that isn't disputable. You say you don't believe in God but you spend so much time probing into his existence and trying so hard to convince believers that he doesn't exist. Do you know how many people in history have made this a life-long vocation and died all depressed because they failed woefully? I do not fault the fact that you don't believe in God; that is ur religion and is essentially between you and God (What, do you think your refusal to acknowledge him makes him any less God?) But you really need to stop this pointless pursuit. It was pointless centuries ago and it is still pointless today. |
I thot this story had since been laid to rest. I remember reading the actor's side of the story where he actually put a lie to the whole story. I think the woman is just seeking attention. |
@ Dualcore Its just a change of name. Its like this: MTC, a middle east operator, acquired Celtel International. Celtel International acquired Vmobile and changed its name to Celtel Nigeria. MTC changed its name to Zain and decided that all its subsidiaries, including Celtel Nigeria, should adopt the group name. Its been done in phases and it will be the turn of Celtel Nigeria by June. So that is the whole story folks. |
