The same thing is happening now; majority of Igbos prefer Prof. Osinbajo to become Nigeria's President as they see Osinbajo as a better leader than tribalistic Buhari, and if this was in the 1960s, take it or leave it, Buhari would have been removed through military coup.

So Awolowo brought more development to his region than Azikiwe the failed nationalist!
