The real people at the center of this blatant Rape of democracy are the PDP senators. Had Saraki been nominated by APC, PDP will support Lawan. Pdp's main aim is to see the fall of APC.
I just wonder how APC politicians failed to see this.
APC cannot escape PDP's deciets . And the greediness of our politicians compounded APC ''s woes. Coupled with the fact that APC fail to reconcile the two gladiators vying for the Senate President.
Don't blame the rule, blame the game
PoliticsRe: Buhari Absent At APC Lawmakers’ Peace Meeting - CHANNELS TV by Rexology: 3:27pm On Jun 09, 2015
It was not out of place to think that it was not Buhari that converned the meeting. The meeting was actually converned by Tinubu and co expecting Buhari to come and influence the Assembly members to deliver Lewan, don't forget Buhari had made it clear that he would not interfer in the leadership of the house, a decision that did not go down well with Tinubu, hence he tried to trick Buhari by converning the meeting.
If Buhari actually called for the meeting, what stoped him from showing up? Knowing fully well that he had already tranmitted the letter of 'Presidential Proclamation' to commence the proceeding by 10am, and up to few minutes to 11am, the members were stil waiting and hoping to receive Buhari, not until it dowmed on them that the game is over for them.

The 51 Senators were holding a meeting with president buhari at the ICC when Saraki and co outsmart them. The funniest part is that there were some pdp chieftains at the ICC with buhari
75 Senators voted.

The "election" took place without the legal proclamation of the Senate by President Buhari.
does that have any implication, learned peeps in the house, share your knowledge
You are wrong my dear...the President had sent a letter to the clerk of the house to commence the 8th National Assembly proceedings, which he read before the commencement of the proceedings, therefore, the clerk acted constitutionally.
Mind you, once the letter is read on the floor of the house by the Clerk, the president cannot retrieve it, or halt the proceedings.

Im too worried that my fellow PDP supporters do not reason before they comment ot jubilate.
For Gods sake neither the Houseor Wike has the powers to dissolve the LGA Chairmen. Only the courts can do this.
It pains me that instead of the PDP supporters to prevail on wike to begin to work and put Amaechi or probing aside for now since there is a petition at the tribunal.
we all know that in less than 30days the tribunal will give judgement.
The only means wike can gain sympathy and votes should the election be nullified is wikes performances now.
Wike has no more federal might. wike cannot control the police ormilitary anymore.
Dakuku so much loved by Rivers people and i smell there might be an allaince against the ikwerres.
I expect my fellow PDP supporters to talkless on any wike thread. rather we should prevail at wike to start performing now else i see APC taking over the state.
There was a court judgement that restrained Amaechi and RSIEC or whatever agency from conducting the election, but Amaechi, being who he is, went ahead to conduct the election.
Therefore, in the eyes of the law, the election never took place.

This is what happened when the electorates voted with sheer sentiments.
Many Governors that just got elected, espercially under APC, would be wost than Aregbe, because many of them were voted because of the 'Buhari Factor' rather than their antecedents and personalities.
PoliticsRe: New Salaries For Buhari, Ministers, Govs & Others- Sun News by Rexology: 5:12pm On Jun 08, 2015
Another deceit...who has the key to the National treasury?(The President)
who has the key to the State treasury? (the Governors)
Do you you think its their salaries and allowances they are using to buy :the companies abroad, properties, aircraft and other investments?(think again).

Therefore, whats the point saying they are reducing their salaries and allowances?(pure deceit)
They can equally say that they will not collect salaries and allowances through out their tenures, does it make any difference?(not at all).
I cannot be fooled the second time.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Difference Between Coursemate And Classmate by Rexology: 6:59pm On Jun 07, 2015
Your coursemate is one who is taking the same academic course with you, irrespective of his or her school or level,eg. if you are studying Accountancy, any Accountancy student in any school , at any level is your 'coursemate'.
Whereas, your classmate is one who is a member of your group.(group A, B C as the case may be in some schools with a large population)
Course====Accountancy
Class======400level( in some cases, it might be further grouped into parts)

you may further consult your dictionary.

That is one of our major problems in Nigeria. We are too religious. I will rather vote for a known atheist/ devil rather than vote or believe someone that professed to be a child of God and does contrary. Almost everywhere i have been privileged to work, folks with regular lifestyle tend to be reasonable and approachable. I prefer dealing with people outside of church rather dealing with you based on your religion and having regrets. In churches of nowadays, deceit, fraud, pride, etc has become their way of live. Come to think of it, how many churches lay emphasis on salvation, repentance and restitution now? If you are not careful, you might even be scammed by your so called pastor. One cent, "Shine your eye"
whats your point in relation to the thanksgiving?are you hollier and more righteouse than Fayose and the house members?
who you chose to deal with, is entirely your choice.

PoliticsRe: Open Campaign For The Adoption Of Sen Saraki And Hon Dogara As PDP Candidates by Rexology: 4:58pm On Jun 07, 2015
abbakacici:
Actually about 60 APC rep members are absent not 30 thus femi just need half of absentee members votes furthermore with Dogara having a PDP guy as his dupty will reduce his chance among 60 APC members that were absented
...well, the probability that Gogara would get less vote from the 60 abscentees is the same probability that Gbaja would get less vote from the 154 members who voted for him during the primary.
Gogara has brighter chances to win the real election than Gbaja, unless he steps down before the D-day, which is highly unlikely.

Don't forget, it was Gbaja that moved a motion during the 7th Assembly, demanding that APC should take over the leadership of the house, a motion that nearly destabilized the house.

PoliticsRe: Open Campaign For The Adoption Of Sen Saraki And Hon Dogara As PDP Candidates by Rexology: 12:01pm On Jun 07, 2015
barcanista:
This thread is to officially call on noble PDP fans, Supporters, admirers and all patriotic citizens to endorse the candidacy of Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki(APC Kwara) and Honorable Yakubu Dogara (APC, Bauchi) for the positions of Senate President and House Speaker respectively.

Why Senator Saraki and Honorable Dogara:
The emergence of Senator Saraki will mean a major crack in the APC structure and the quest for dominance of this political era. Saraki knowing fully well that he wasn't the APC "nominee" will be more liberal and less partisan because he knows that he needs the PDP Senators to survive. The PDP cannot afford not to reinvent their influence and prepare for 2019.

Honorable Yakubu Dogara, a Christian from Bauchi state has pledged to adopt Hon Leo Ogar (PDP, Delta state) as the Deputy Senate President. He has also pledged that Chairmanship of House Committees will be in 50:50 sharing formular between the PDP and APC. Like Saraki, he isn't the nominee of the APC. His emergence will nullify the APC planned expansion and will whittle their proposed structure. The PDP can't afford to lose this opportunity to assert their influence in the 8th Assembly.

Can We Succeed?
Of the 60 APC Senators, a group of 35 under the Umbrella of "Like Minds" consisting of Senators from the three geo-political zones in the North (NC, NW and North East) have endorsed Senator Saraki. PDP has 49 members of the Senate, 18 from South South, 15 SE, Ekiti 3, Ondo 1, Ogun 1, Taraba 3, and one each for Yobe, Nasarawa and Benue states. A bloc vote of at least the Senators from SS and SE plus the 35 already from the APC Saraki group is more than enough to return Saraki elected. Considering the game of politics, all 49 PDP Senators should not fail to vote for Senator Bukola Saraki on Tuesday.

For the House Speakership, of 214 APC Members, 154 endorsed Gbajabiamila. The 125 PDP Reps (SS 52, SE 38, NC 8, SW 20 and 8 from NE) should endeavour not to miss this opportunity to have a say in the House, for the benefit of themselves and the Party. South South and South East PDP contingents must not disappoint Hon Leo Ogar. They all should mobilise and participate in the election. The Hon Dogara group already has 55-61 APC Reps in their ranks. With the block 125 votes from PDP in addition to the 55-61 pro Dogara APC, the "PDP" will coast to victory and be the defacto leader of the NASS.

We cannot afford to lose this golden opportunity to control the two chambers of the National Assembly. We lost the Presidency, we can't afford to lose the Senate and the House.

I hereby use this medium to call on well meaning Nigerians and the PDP supporters to endorse this proposal.

#PDP Shall Rise Again
#PDP Shall Lead Again
#God Bless PDP
"PDP shall rise again"rise again to do what?
PoliticsRe: N’assembly Leadership: APC Peace Moves Flop by Rexology: 11:49am On Jun 07, 2015
Mynd44:
So Gbajabiamila needs just 27 more votes to win.
30 of the APC Reps elect were not present.

1. While it is agreed that 27/30 absentee members will vote for Gbaja, he has a guaranteed vote of 154 and is sure of getting at least half if not more than half of the 30. So lets just say half.

2. We need to know that a lot of PDP reps members intend to decamp to the APC and are just looking for the perfect time to do so. This will be their test of loyalty. If anyone thinks all the PDP reps will vote for one candidate they need to remember what happened in 2011.

3. If anyone thing Gbajabiamila who has been in the HOR for so long does not have his own supporters inside the PDP itself, the person is sleeping on Okada.

4. Gbaja needs just 12 (assuming half of the absentees vote him) you forget that even within the Dongara group, some will still leave if the party reaches out.

Now where is that popcorn
Politics in Nigeria is what happened while one is busy strategizing. How are you sure that all the154 members will cast their votes to Gbaja, come Tuesday? No one can be trusted in Nigerian Politics...anything can happen from now to Tuesday morning, that its result might shock Gbaja.
EducationRe: Sad But True! Job Tales By Jumia Labourers(workers) by Rexology: 6:06pm On Jun 06, 2015
AmesRodriquez:
Hi Everybody,

For a job to be properly done and for a sound output, the well-being of the staffs need to be considered and a conducive environment provided, policies that are detrimental to the well-being of the staff should not be enforced on people and people should not be exploited.

My questions are,

* Why should new policies be enforced on the warehouse without consideration on the effect it will cause to our health?

FIRSTLY,

ware house for eight hours standing.

SECONDLY,

conditions are very poor and no proper ventilation is being catered for.

THIRDLY,

more break and you cant leave the warehouse on any excuse except you are dying.

To the appropriate bodies I address our complains to

How would you feel Mr. CEO, Human Resource Department, Senior Managers, Corporate Offices, Operations and to every Department responsible for making JUMIA what it is today, how will you feel if you are being placed under such conditions

Let look at the following scenarios together:

Assuming your son was standing in the ware house where he was working and stood for 24 hours which is 3 days and on the fourth day when he came to work he slumped due to leg pain and as we speak they are hanging his leg in the orthopedic hospital will you be happy to hear that. Probably it could be your brother , sister, son or daughter that undergo the same situation and fell down and while falling the person heat his or her head on the table and now needs surgery.

It could be your loved ones in the same situation standing for 40 hours a week how do you expect the child to feel at home, accidents can happen to anybody.

To the almighty operations that brought in this law of standing to work to what aim is this law brought into enforcement, I clearly remember the days of black Friday the work was stressful most of us worked 24 hours and there was no law like standing all day to work. I also did check the bylaws of a standard procedure of a warehouse and there is no place I saw where you stand to work all day.

Let do the math’s 8 hours per day, 4 hours a week and 160 hours a month of standing to work please create the picture in your mind and please tell yourselves the truth what will be the outcome.

Maybe the laws should be enforced for each and every staff of jumia , AIG that we all stand to work and after a week will come back and draw out an analysis to see if the law is worth it and if the work will be properly delivered.

To MR APOORVA who keeps bringing in new laws, you delay salaries till when you feel like. Now you’ve said we work standing for 9 nine hours. Just recently you also said no more breaks except the person is dying , please kindly tell the whole house what your aim is, is it to cripple peoples kids or to render Nigerians youth helpless after working in the office?

Please we plead that the appropriate bodies think of this new policy and please provide the necessary measures for both the new & world ware house that will enable us to work well.

I WANT TO USE THIS MEDIUM TO THANK EVERY ONE OF YOU FOR TAKING OUT TIME TO READ THIS MEMO.

THANKS
Were you forced to work with them? If you are not comfortable with the working conditions, why not quit quietly? must you work with jumia?did you sign any contract paper(offer letter)? did you actually read the 'clauses' in the contract paper carefully before appending your acceptance signature? Perhaps you claimed on the CV you submitted to them that you can work under 'ANY CONDITION'at the point of entry, just because you were desperate for the job then, now the reality is down on you.
