The whole thing is you are being unfair to the northerners. People are dying there and you are here accusing them of killing themselves. So I took you back to Azazi. Who said pdp is boko haram and ended up being bombed. The whole idea is we don't know who they are. Gej said they are in his govt. These same people attempted to kill Buhari here in Kaduna in which your master pretended to be happy that Buhari is alive
Please tell me the people that make up boko haram fighters. I care to agree with you if they are not the people or sons of the soil in your so called boko States. Now they are showing their willingness to surrender, and you want to tell me hands controlling them are no mightier than what you can figure out. I think Jonathan could never have told them to stop and they just begin to stop with the hearts of rejoicing.
PoliticsRe: APC USA Writes Buhari And Osinbajo, Congratulates And Warns Them by Rexyl(m):
They should beware as events unfold in Nigeria. They have not been sworn in boko haram apologists have started writing them. They should understand that boko haram is a problem that should be removed promptly like cancer. Listening to some guys or agents of their would-be government to make provision for their selfish interests would be disastrous and make them loose the focus.

I also congratulate and want them to treat requests from every quarter reasonable well.

Boko haram from day one detested a Christian as president
They even asked Buhari to be their negotiator
Have we forgotten that Buhari chastised Jonathan for being hard on boko haram, said they were not terrorist and that Jonathan was killing Muslims ?
so is it rocket science that boko haram activities will subside with their man in power?
They got their wish
If he doesn't impose the type of sharia they want, they may also turn against him
Simple logic
We are watching and praying. Just as obj card was torn and shown to the public, what makes boko relevant in the history of Nigeria since few years back is torn today and rendered useless for life.

Just say Amen...

Pdp is boko haram and boko haram is pdp-late Azazi
You mean boko haram will continue? Because majority of those contesting posts even those who have been elected in some States of the North are the same people that rule at least eight years in pdp. I am afraid if those politicians continue in apc with the same old blood moving in the veins.
PoliticsRe: Letter From The Northeast To Buhari by Rexyl(m): 2:46pm On Apr 04, 2015
Finally, for the past three years, we only rejoiced widely and moved freely in my home town, Potiskum once (i.e. on 31st March, 2015) when they announced that you have won the election. There were also strategic roads in the town that we only could pass through on that very day, in the period of 3 years, due to restriction of movements
See the letter, people have started coming out to lobby for benefits. From the letter it looks as if the insurgents created problems for NE for a time like this in order to claim certain benefits. It was stated the day Buhari was announced the president elect everyone began to move freely in a town under the siege of boko haram. It seemed those guys seathed their swords to honour the one they could listen to or who could grant their requests.

Just asking.....

Hon Tambuwa played his card smarty, after four years of amassing wealth and fame in pdp, he jumped over pdp ship to apc camp where he emerged without controversy as the key progressive politician. He denied SW opportunity of producing speaker of the house of representatives for four years, now he is likely to be governor of Sokoto State. He has really progressed and made it in his calculation of being a progressive politician.

There is nothing in Buhari for now until after the next four years. Akala might have seen himself as the one that has hope among other contestants against Ajimobi because he is the only one that produced members for House of Rep in the last presidential elections. Seyi Makinde, Ladoja and Teslim were defeated in their consistencies but Akala wasn't defeated.

They should let buhari show his stuffs. He is just being there for a try. It would be after the next four years we can agree or disagree on his person.

Politicians should answer their own names for what they can do for the people. They should be their names for their achievements. Being another person or claiming his identity is an act of fraud

Akala should have been himself, afteral he is the only one among the contestants against Ajimobi that won his consistency and produced members for house of representatives.

bushdoc9919:
It is actually more complicated than that.

In the 1960's ....Somalia was a country next to Kenya...and was a democracy. Then a millitary chap called Siad Barre overthrew the democratically eelcted government in 1968....and became the brutal dictator of Somalia.

In the 1970's...several freedom fighters rose up and tried to get rid of Barre....but Barre just used clan loyalties to divide these freedom fighters.

Nevertheless....Siad Barre was overthrown in 1991...when all the freedon groups put hands together and chased him out.(He fled to Nigeria...and died in Abuja in 1993. Go figure.).

However...the several freedom groups...factionalised among clans....began fighting among each other.(Somalia's population is made up of Somalis only). America briefly intervened...but made things worse.

The resoultant crisis provided the fertile soil for Islamist groups to thrive and grow. The most powerful is Al-Shibab.

In 2010...Al Shibab began kidnapping people from Kenya...as a result...the Kenyan Army moved in and invaded Somalia to stop Al Shibab.(They are now part of an African Union taskforce to stop Al-Shibab.).

This led to Al-Shibab declaring war on Kenya....and launching a series of terror attacks on Kenyans.

If you want someone to blame...blame African sit tight rulers and African tribalism/clanisim.

Because....if Siad Barre had not been so power hungry.....Somalia would have been peaceful.
But it was never an agitation against sit tight ruler in Nigeria when boko haram suddenly appear for the first time under Obj. Those guys know what they are pursuing which can only be achieved by terror.

The death toll is now 70.
Was following the story this morning. I hear they claim its Al-shabab Islamists from neighboring Somalia that may be responsible.
Just think about it, you wake up in the comfort of your bed, in a relatively safe haven like a university campus and next thing...you may be dead simply because of your religious inclination.
This world is just becoming unsafe as times goes by.
When the time of fullness of excesses of terrorism comes the world will be forced to take action that will sack the extremists anywhere they are found.

They disturbed peace in Nigeria now their next target is now Kenya, who knows where next?

By the way why are you now condemning boko haram? I thought I have seen several threads where Nigerian army displayed corpes of dead bokos with you claiming they were innocent people.

Tell your Kalifar Buhari to start negotiations with Boko Haram and subsequently grant them Paid amnesty and lets see if your meager earnings will be taxed and used to fund Buhari's militia retirement.

Really. We should appreciate President Jonathan for making democracy to continue without crisis, even though he lost the contest. We should all appreciate him for his great resolve on Nigeria, her people and politics. He stated, " political ambition of any politician is not worth blood of any Nigerians" . That is a great word for those who care to understand. His technological approaches toward finding solutions to numerous problems of Nigeria have started yielding good results. HE SAID HE HAD PUT SIMILAR MEASURES IN PLACE TO CURB CORRUPTION, BUT NIGERIANS CAN'T BE PATIENT TO SEE THAT WORK OUT SO THAT HE COULD LIKEWISE RECEIVED THE GLORY. THE GOOD AND PEACE LOVING MAN HAS DONE MUCH, ONLY THAT HIS NUMEROUS ACHIEVEMENTS ARE NOT RIPE FOR MANIFESTATION FOR ALL TO SEE. I PRAY THE INCOMING ADMINISTRATION WILL CONTINUE FROM WHERE HE STOPPED.

The Priesthood Established

God established Old Testament Priesthood with Moses, Aaron and the sons of Aaron. The priesthood was later transfered to the Levi, and finally it is to be transferred to believers in Christ Jesus as a kingdom of priests. Today's priesthood of believers in Christ are equipped and anointed to serve as ministers of God's kingdom in this lost world. 1 Peter 2:5 - Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. We have the followings for discussion; Set Apart for God's Service; A Heavy Responsibility; The Priesthood of believers

Set Apart for God's Service: God instructed Moses to anoint Aaron and Aaron sons to serve Him as His priests and stand before Him on behalf of the people. Moses was also instructed to make special garments for Aaron and his sons to wear as priests. The garments were to provide dignity and honour of the priests by their designs and they were to be made by wise craftsmen filled with the spirit of wisdom (Exodus 28:1-4). The priests were to stand before God as representatives of the people with their special appearance reflecting honour and dignity. Believers should identify God's calling and anointing in their lives and apply them to serve in the ministry of priesthood.

God's callings are diverse and can manifest in various ways; some are glaring, others are not often noticed. God's calling helps us identify His purpose for our lives and how we can be useful in His ministry. Those who are prepared to work in God's ministry must be consecrated for His service (Exodus 29:44-46). Consecration of believers to the Lord means they are set apart from sinful activities, and to belong to God.

A Heavy Responsibility: The priest were required to be fully committed to the religious activities and carry out the ordinances with perfect hearts (Exodus 28:26-30). They were to make sacrifices on behalf of the people and intercede for them before God . Likewise God wants those who are working in His kingdom to be dedicated to the tasks set before them. They must conduct themselves very well and depend on God for progress of His ministry.

Aaron would attach gold plate in which the words, HOLINESS TO THE LORD was engraved to headpiece of his forehead. That was to remind people that they represented the holy God and that they were to reflect His holiness in their lives (Exodus 28:36-38 ). The Israelites were to distinguish themselves from pagan nations around and be holy just as God is holy. New Testament Christians are to pursue holiness in response to God's promise that they have been made His children with His word written in their hearts.

In the old testament the priests were made from the tribe of Levi of the people of Israel. God's presence was confined to the tabernacle, and only the Chief Priest can go to His presence to intercede for the people. But today, God has made Christians His priests and representatives in this world (1 Peter 2:4-10). All believers who follow Christ and allow his presence to dwell with them now have direct access to God's presence to pray for themselves and intercede for others as well. Instead of the old practice that involved offering of animals as sacrifice, God now wants our sacrifices to be offered in spirit. Our consecration, service and worship of God would now be in spirit (Romans 12:1;Hebrews 13:15). Christ is the foundation, the cornerstone upon whom our ministry should be built.

We should understand significance of our callings as Christians and remain committed to the task ahead in order to receive blessings that follow obedience. We are to proclaim the glorious gospel of salvation through Christ to all people. Before we found the wonderful light of God's presence, we were lost in darkness. Now that we have the light and work in the kingdom ministry, we should treat our callings with utmost respect and honour. To God be the glory. Lesson texts: Exodus 28: 1 thru 29:1-40
Christianity EtcRe: Sunday School Lessons: What Do You Gain To Share With Others? by Rexyl(op):
God's Greatest Commandments
God gave us His commandments so that we can live just and holy and have good relationships with others. He promised blessings for people that obey His commandments. The Law was given to help people check their lives and guard against behaviours that can bring judgement and punishment. Everyone is a suspect under the law because the law is not adequate to purify the heart, remove evil thoughts and wicked desires. It is through Christ believers' hearts are purged of sin to live rightly for God and secure His salvation. Ephesians 24:7- He (Moses) took the book of the covenant and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the Lord hath said we will do, and be obedient. We have the followings for discussion: Israel Commanded to Love God; Israel Commanded to love others; Israel Promises Obedience to God

Israel Commanded to Love God: The ten commandments instruct people to please God and have good relationship with others. God commanded people to know and worship no other gods except Him. He revealed Himself as the eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing and the Only True God people must serve (Exodus 20:1-7). Worship of objects or images of any form is against His commandments, therefore it is wrong for believers to ascribe divine power to any objects. God is Spirit and we must worship Him in Spirit and truth (John 4:23-24).

God's name must not be misused; His name must not be used to bear false witnesses and make promises that we do not intend to keep. Jesus summarized how we can apply the ten commandments and live to please God (Matthew 22:36-40). God also reminded people of the need to rest as He rested after six days of work. He commanded that a day should be set apart to rest, worship and serve Him (Exodus 20:8-11). By doing this we recognise Him as sovereign God, Our Creator, Our Master and Our Lord.

Israel Commanded to love Others: God wants people to love themselves if they truly love and serve Him. He commanded children to honour their parents so that they can receive the blessing of long life and prosperity (Exodus 20:12). Such honour is demonstrated By care, respect, compassion and love shown to them; it must also be given to those who took care of us from the beginning. The remaining commandments focus on relationship with others: friends, family members, neighbours, coworkers, strangers and even the enemies (Exodus 20:13-17).

God commanded that people shall not kill, commit adultery, steal, bear false witness or covet. He is the giver of life and the One that has the right to take it, man must not kill others because of malice, hatred or careless behaviours. God's commands prohibit all manners of wrongdoings toward others. Those doing contrary to His commands are not His people.

Israel Promises Obedience to God: The people were expected to follow all commands of God and remain focused on spiritual priorities for good of their nation. Moses built an alter and made sacrifices which involved sprinkling of the blood for forgiveness of sins and to affirm God's covenant (Exodus 24:3-6).

Today Christians have received the ultimate blessing of being made the people of God through Christ's supreme sacrifice; his blood of covenant has since replaced the old practice of sacrificing and shedding blood of animals for forgiveness of sin. God made Christ the Only sacrifice required for forgiveness and removal of sins, purification of hearts and Salvation of all souls.

Christians are no longer under the bondage of Law because Christ has made them free from its obligations. This doesn't mean the laws are no longer relevant, God wants His Law written in our hearts and demands that we turn the right attitudes (Romans 2:14-15; Hebrews 10:11-15). Obedience to God's commands is no longer a matter of code, it is of conscience. It requires fundamental moral concepts and righteous living God requires of His people.

Just as Israelites reaffirmed their obedience to God's commands in the Book of Covenant after blood was applied to the altar (Exodus 24:7-8 ), Christians are to respond positively to Christ's sacrifice and act in obedience to the NEW TESTAMENT (Mark 14:24; 1 Corinthians: 11:25; Hebrews 9:20). To God be the glory. Lesson texts: Exodus 20:1-7; 24:3-8.
