Coming late when the party is over. The had the opportunity to come to the market 5 years ago and hit the chain running but did not want any tom dick and harry to have their shares. They are coming basically when it is clear to them and some of us that they are fast losing market share. Good luck to empty hen.

Sports › Re: Professor Ighalo Wins N58Million In Sports Bet by rhames(m): 1:07pm On Aug 31, 2015
Axeurdaddy:
A Professor of Computer Engineering at the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, Godwin Ighalo, has won the sum of N58,945,553, after placing bets with N800 in 1960Bet.

It is the biggest sum ever won in the history of sports betting in Nigeria. The sexagenarian accomplished the feat after placing bets on two different bet slips of N500 and N300.

On the N500 ticket, Prof Ighalo won N36,840,971.25 while the N300 slip won him N22,104,582.75. Ighalo, who was accompanied by two of his relatives, on Wednesday, received his cheque at the head office of the country’s top sports betting company in Lagos.

On how he was able to achieve the feat, Ighalo said,
“Since my childhood days, I used to have strong
interests in probability, relationships and special
intelligence. All these with adequate sports betting research I conducted over the years, helped in making it possible.”

He hailed 1960BET for their honesty and commitment to their customers, adding he was sure he would be paid his money in full by the sports betting company, despite doubts in some quarters that they won’t be able to pay.

He said, “I was sure the company would pay if I win. I have tried in the past without winning and always believe that one day luck will shine on me.
“There were a lot of people out there who expressed doubts on whether they will be able to pay the money, but 1960Bet has demonstrated that they are a reliable sports betting company with this prompt payment. Immediately I arrived at their office, they called me in and the money was paid into my account.”

The Managing Director of 1960BET, Mr Dotun
Ajegbile, said the company, with the prompt payment of the money, has enhanced its position as the most consistent sports betting firm in Nigeria.

“Now it is clear that 1960BET is the most consistent, having paid more winnings in the history of sports betting in Nigeria; we have been paying since 2010.
We have made it top priority in the new season to honour all transactions online and retail while
guaranteeing the best odds at all times and undiluted gaming excitement in all our shops.”

Politics › Re: Alleged N1trn Diversion: Senate Committee Walks Out EFCC Officials by rhames(m): 7:09pm On Aug 26, 2015
lorbah001:
SENATE Committee on Ethics, Privileges
and Public Petitions at its sitting, Wednesday, to
hear a petition against the Chairman, Economic
and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim
Lamorde over allegation that the Commission
fraudulently diverted over N1trillion proceeds of
corruption recovered by the anti-graft agency,
walked out the Representatives of the
Commission.

Chairman of the Committee, Senator Samuel
Anyanwu, PDP, Imo who announced that the
Director, Legal of the EFCC, Chile Okoroma,
representative of Lamorde, Barrister Osuagwu
Ugochukwu and other staff of the EFCC should
leave the hall against the backdrop that having
written to be given enough time, ought not to
have been present at the meeting.

Anyanwu’s action came when Okoroma made
frantic efforts to respond to the petitioner, Mr.
George Uboh who had alleged that Lamorde
under remitted the money he recovered from
some Nigerians as well as traded with the money.
Lamorde was however absent as Chairman of the
Committee read a letter where the EFCC boss
pleaded for enough time to respond to the issues
raised by the petition.

Meanwhile, Lamorde’s representative, Barrister
Ugochukwu who spoke to Journalists shortly
after he was walked out along side others, said
that the EFCC boss asked him to represent him
( Lamorde) at the hearing, just as he expressed
his disappointment on the Senate Committee.

Business › Re: AS A Military Personnel, What Kind Of Biz Can I Invest On? by rhames(m):
if i could suggest one biz for the military man in the forum, it will be investment for the long term in stocks and bonds and possibly establish a small scale industry like a bakery or a small bottled water plant.

however will you have the time to manage it or will your wife do that? whatever the case understand that the first three years of establishing a business is critical to the survival of that business. if you decide to hire someone to manage it, two things will suffice. you will need to supervise that person and be able to pay him well, which the bane of most Nigerian employers.

In stocks however you can be earning dividends but investments in them should be directed to well managed and time tested companies. From my experience, these companies have given me the best returns on investment since over ten years through bonuses and dividends.
