Dumbos like you think every Igbo man has to own a shop in Lagos to survive. . .lol. . While I admire Igbo business men and their hussle, buying and selling is not what I do, Lagos is not the only place to make money. Besides, If you know the smart that is required for kind of work I do, you will learn to be humble when addressing your betters, and comment with some respect and awe, you little swine of no consequence.

Duru1: If you are not in the bad habit of taking things literally every dullard knows what such statements imply, I should say your indictment of the deputy governor on the allegation that he, Jude Agbaso, collected hush money for contracts awarded by the Rochas Okorocha is moronic. Contrarily, you were either present when deputy governor collected the hush money from the contractors or you are a member of the alleged Imo State house committee that investigated the matter.

Other than the stated scenarios, I can safely say you are one of the loudmouthed and deluded blind supporters of Rochas Okorocha.
hahahahahah. . . Nwanne take it easy biko before you start breaking things in the house o. . . You comment with so much anger and presumptousness. Seriously, no need to be getting worked up, we all know politics is at play here, anyone can insinuate anything but one fact that is very obvious here is that the allegations seem to be sticking and Mr Jude has not helped his condition by quitting, it only points to the fact that he actually has been collecting kickbacks. If he was convinced of his innocence, he would not quit, Nigerian politicians dont just suddenly quit.

Duru1: I do not give a hoot what the deputy governor represents. Whether he was a commissioner of works or local government, countless news media reports from Imo State included the loudmouthed and blind supporters of Rochas Okorocha had informed us since governor was sworn in that governor is the sole distributor of contracts in Imo State. No time was the deputy governor or commissioner of works had been mentioned with connection of contracts in Imo State except when the elder brother of and deputy governor disagreed with the governor on the latest move to the so-called APC.
Apparently you are not interesred in the facts but what you want to say and the needless argument you so want to make. That you did not know that Imo state does not have a commissioner for works other than the deputy is nobody's fault but that is the reality. That somebody says Rochas is prudent with the way he pays contractors or award contracts does not mean he is the one directly involved in the contract award, unless you have the bad habit of taking things literally every slowpoke knows what such statements imply. Stop being unneccessarily aggressive before you burst a vain in your needless rage. If yoy have got personal beef with the man, go to government house and squash it na, why the misplaced angerhuh.

Maple: Dude, the fact that PDP control some states in the North doesnt mean a pooh. Nigerians dont vote for parties when it comes to the presidential elections. People in SW didnt vote for Ribadu despite him running on ACN ticket. States in the North had to be rigged for GEJ in 2011. Considering the Anger and riots that happened in the North because of that, Politicians in the North would deem it too risky to support GEJ again against a northern presidential candidate, especially if that candidate turned out to be Buhari. Buhari swept many PDP states during the last elections, hence there's no guarantee GEJ can win a single PDP state in the North come 2015, without indulging in massive vote rigging. We already saw how northerners in 2011 went on rampage burning housing of politicians and emirs whom they thought were on GEJ camp. So the question is, are their political bigwigs in the North who are ready to stick-out their necks once again for GEJ come 2015? I dont think so.

Come 2015, GEJ is on his own in the north.Period!
hahahahahhah. . .thats the problem with many politically Naive Swestern youngstar, you all think it is by talking with force and carrying placards. . .lol. . . As long as PDP has structures where other Parties are not present, they will continue to seize the votes in those places, PERIOD! PDP is too strong for APC to be so sentimental instead of facing the realities on ground and discussing it.

dagr8: that loser has lost 3 times
2003 to OBJ
2007 to Yar adua
2011 to GEJ
hahahahah. . . E dey baffle me too o, how can a man that has lost 3 presidential elections consecutively be even considered again for Presidency. . . Seriously, a lot of these Swestern folks can be uneccessarily sentimental in the way they analyze Nigeria's polity.
Like Jonathan or not, it will be very difficult to boot him out not with the lightweights and overspent politicians lined up.
Fashola for President I dey laugh, that niggar is the most naive of all the line up. Nigeria is not Lagos where one man held him by the jugular to control the state's resources. This time he will be dealing with not just Yoruba politicians that like sentiments but ruthless politicians from the North and East. Trust me, the East will treat Fashola just like they would a with Buhari. Even the Southwest that Yorubas like to see as the second advantaged region has a sizeable population of Easterners enough to disrupt any any bloc vote even to a Fashola Presidency in the SW let alone other regions that will vote based on tribal and religious sentiments. If there is one thing Jonathan has going for him, it is the 100% bloc vote he is certain to ge from the eastern region, the only region that is able at moment to put aside differences and deliver a bloc vote, SW obviously is divided, the North is the most divided not with the activities of islamic sects maiming, killing, burning and causing dis harmony between christians and muslims. Mr Buhari's reticence and tacit support to such activities only help to strengthen the belief that he is a religious bigot with trying so hard to suppress his extremist religious views that many times have betrayed the position he is vying for.
The NorthCentral is another very import region that will make sure the north does not deliver any bloc vote not with the activities of Fulani and bokoharam people there. The North is still greatly under the heavy influence of PDP, from state governors to members of the states' legislature to the LGAs, PDP is still the dominant political force to beat. CPC is just synonymous with Buhari nothing more, it does not have political clout or popularity to wrestle power against PDP. I know this because I was an election Presiding Officer as a corper serving in Sokoto State. In the local government we conducted a by-election for a deceased member of the state legislature from Sabon Birnin LGA, I know what went down and how PDP campaigned with everything possible to come put a distant first in all the wards in Sabon Birnin. In Makwana where I conducted elections with an assistant who was an Hausa teacher, PDP won by 303 votes, the next party that won was ANPP with only 2votes, nobody even voted for CPC, even apga and ACN had 1 vote each. The so-called opposition party agents that were present were all PDP lackeys dressing up as opposition. I Laugh when I hear political naive statements that suggest that Buhari is Popular in the Noeth or his party, it is a no brainer. Buhari wont win an election against IBB, Atiku or even pdp northern states' governors wven if he cries a torrent. Plus, there are a lot of southerners here in the north, Igbos especially, enough to cause an upset in voting patterns. Now tell me, what is the percentage of westerners or even northers northerners in the east, too negligible to thwart any attempt by the region to deliver a bloc vote. This is where Jonathan has his strength. The only politically expedient thing to do is to use Rochas and a northerner to cause an all roundsplit in the regions. Fashola canllt achieve that not even North, his popularity has since taken a dive since he started off his 2nd term with elitist policies that have been alienating commoners that actually do the voting. Besides, Rochas is more Politically savvy on national politics than Fashola, he has a wider popularity and acceptability than fashola, he has charisma and charm than fashola, he knows the game and has the political reach and connection than fashola. Fashola is a good administrator no doubt better than Rochas I must confess but not when it comes to national politics, Rochas na im Papa for that one. Unless of course, the Yoruba man wants to bring the usual tribal sentiments I see no reason why Rochas should not be considered ahead of Fashola, and I am not talking in the capacity of VP, that nonsense is a compensatory role, I am talking of fielding him in as President, Yes. It does not have to be a northerner period! Anything core north and muslim, count the majority of Christians and southern Nigerians out. The Yoruba can continue to act like Yorubas alone inhabit all of the southwest but when the time comes, the people whose number and spread matter will throw their weight.
And anyone that thinks religion, tribe and regional sentiments do not matter is delusional and naive.

DailyPost investigation has revealed that the political bigwigs of the All Progressive Congress are on the search for a vice-presidential candidate who will be the running mate of the party’s consensus candidate during the 2015 presidential election.

We have gathered that stalwarts of All Progressives Congress are keen on having a popular serving governor in the south, whose image can attract massive votes, and also with the view that the presidential candidate will come from the North.

APC is made up of the Action Congress of Nigeria, All Nigeria Peoples Party, Congress for Progressive Change and a faction of the All Progressive Grand Alliance.

Already, Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola; his Edo State counterpart, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole; and Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, are on the shortlist, though they have not been approached yet.

A source within the APC said, “It is true we are looking for a suitable vice-presidential candidate from the South, particularly the South–West, because unless something dramatic happens, our flag bearer is coming from the North.

“The overwhelming thinking among members of the coalition is to have a young progressive, preferably one that has a track record of performance, for the post.

“As for the presidential candidate, everything being equal, we should know who the candidate is soon.

“For now, we have not yet agreed on who it should be, but I can tell you, Fashola is one of them, however, we cannot take a final decision on this until we are able to get leaders of his primary constituency to agree.”

Just last week, the Convener of the Concerned Northern Politicians, Academics, Professionals and Businessmen, Dr. Junaid Mohammed, on Friday evening, also confirmed that the North was seeking a vice-presidential candidate in the South.

According to him, “In the event of the presidency returning to the North, the issue will be who will deliver the votes from the South for the prospective candidate from the North.

“As I see it, the only person I see who can do it is from the South-West even though the South-West has its own challenges. Challenge number one will be to bring out a candidate from the Christian North who will now peer up with a likely candidate who will be from the South-West. Fortunately or unfortunately, the South-West is not terribly obsessed with matters of religion,” he added.

APC has said it would hold its national convention in the coming weeks. Presently, the party is in the process of filing for registration.

hahahhahahah. . . Now it is becoming clear what the true intentions of these guyz are. . .northern candidate, not in this life.
I take this as a Yoruba man's analysis of what is going to happen. I see how they are trying to dafault the Igbo man's role as second fiddle, Fashola is considered for Presidency while Rochas is considered for VP. . Lol. Rochas will be a Bonafide Eddiot if he ever agrees to such arrangement. I see how they deliberately don't want to talk about the eastern region the SE in particular. . .lol. . .una go see when time reach.

AS the issue of whether the Imo State Deputy Governor,
Jude Agbaso, has resigned or not continues to make
round, Special Assistant to Governor Rochas Okorocha
on Media, Mr. Ebere Uzoukwa, told The Guardian on
Friday in Owerri that no such letter has come to the
notice of the state government. In a chat, Uzoukwa also discountenanced the report by
a daily (not The Guardian) that the Secretary to the
state Government, Prof. Anthony Anwukah, was quoted
as confirming the resignation, as untrue, adding that
the SSG has denied such. “It is not to our knowledge that the deputy governor
has resigned, even the SSG said he did not grant any
press interview on such, ” he said. As at Thursday evening, Agbaso’s offices, sources told
The Guardian, was under lock and key with heavy
presence of security operatives. Trouble began when a petitioner and contractor
accused the deputy governor of demanding and
accepting gratification of about N458 million to award
contract for the execution of major roads going on in
the state. The deputy governor also represented his boss,
Okorocha at Umudim, National Youth Service Corps at
the swearing-in exercise of the current batch. On
return, unconfirmed rumours of his resignation began
to circulate Sources said the embattled Agbaso would address the
press between Friday and Saturday on the issue. Meanwhile the Imo Assembly members on Thursday
began the impeachment process formally following the
report of a six-man committee of the house headed by
Simeon Iwunze. The impeachment notice may have been served on
Agbaso. Majority Leader of the house, Mrs. Adaku
Ihuoma, (Ahiazu Mbaise), Deputy Speaker, Donatus
Ozoemena (Oru West), Luke Chukwu (Ohaji/Egbema),
Eudora Igwe (Ideato South), Emeka Offor (Ngor Opkala),
Ikechukwu Amuka (Ideato south), Dan Ndubuaku (Orlu), Acho Ihim (Okigwe), Victor Mere (Owerri Municipal) and
Ndunagu (Mbaitoli) signed. But issues unfolding indicate that forces loyal to both
the duo of the Governor of the state, Chief Rochas
Okorocha and Agbaso are busy pointing accusing
fingers to each other. Meanwhile the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) on
Thursday evening in a statement signed by Prince
Marshal Okafor-Anyanwu, accused the Presidency of
fuelling the plot to impeach Okorocha by allegedly
giving $50,000 each to 12 Imo Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP) lawmakers to carry out the hatchet act. According to the statement made available to The
Guardian, the lawmakers allegedly met with the Special
Adviser the President on Political Matters and the duo of
the PDP’s Bamangar Tukur and Chief Tony Anineh, to
perfect plans to impeach Okorocha. Agbaso has been investigated by the House over a
petition of a contractor in the state that while the
deputy governor was doubling as the Commissioner for
Works, took gratification of about N458 million to
facilitate award of contract which its terms were
allegedly not carried out. The Speaker of the house, Chief Benjamin Uwajimogu, told journalists that the
house was on track by the investigation, adding that
due process was observed. Uwajimogu is being
rumoured of possible successor of Agbaso.

Infact, prosecution is now as easier as he would have lost immunity and can now be arrested and investigated. I am presently in Owerri and I tell you this, even Owerri people support his removal. And for your information, he was the de facto commissioner for works, stop arguing if you do not have your facts biko.

ecosanders: thank God u hav d chbnce 2 meet ppl frm there, i also worked wit some last month, and wat u hear frm them wil mak u rethink, d situation is nt just d way we view it here.
Can you please tell us what you heard from them?
And what do you think is the situation? I also stayed in the North a little while back and I know what I saw and people's perception of the issue, it is no different from popular opinion except that they still maintain that they do not follow islam tenets.

mbhs139: Fine. But my point is still that the situation could not have been as worse as it is being painted by the media, otherwise there is not suppose to be people living in Borno State as of now.

Yes, you are correct, I have not left Lagos before (to the North at least), but that does not mean I'm totally oblivious of the happenings there. And who says FG or JTF can not come up with stories about BH bombing mosque or church? Were you not in this country when they told us the GEJ's wife went to Germany for Holiday, only for her to come back and tell us not to mind them, that she was actually dead for 7 days and only rose up by God's divine intervention. So, why shouldn't I think that the FG can make up stories? Remember that the JTF is an extention of the FG, so they could have been flocking together.
You see my friend, one of the reasons why people don't take southwest led opposition seriously is because it is not done out of sincerity of purpose, no matter what this present Government does, people from the SW that have been largely led to believe that Jonathan is the problem will always find fault.
All your comments and post have been based on sentiments and gut-feelings occassioned by the little devil on your shoulders whispering to you what may have happened as opposed to the facts presented. Can you quote any newspaper publication where JTF have had to lie about an anti-Bokoharam fight that never happened only for them to manufacture weapons and use innocent people as BK boys? Or are you just here to tell us about the little devils on your shoulders dancing azonto are telling you happened?
My guy, many of us have had opportunities to be in the north and witness these things ourselves, I think I can argue from a more informed point than you, usimg conjectures and ifs and buts to make illogical conclusions.

omeiz93: According to d reports, they claimed that 10 out of d 52 killed were d commander of d lieutenant, who told jtf their position, that is to say that boko boys are not faceless, as we hear everyday. But before i droped my pen when did dis happen, was it after d president left borno state, or they are just trying to score cheap points they dont deserved, there is more to this report, if u asked me.
Even my 15yr old nephew wont ask such a dumb question when watching a hollywood movie on tv. Guy how old are you? Seriously, your mental capacity needs serious tweaking, you know nothing about common sense.

Let me tell you that BH started from the mosque, killing Imams that were castigating them that what they are (were) doing is not right, that it was unislamic. That was the genesis of the whole BH story; it actually started as a muslim/muslim conflict which resulted into the arrest of their leader Muhammed Yusuf, who was extra judiciously killed in police custody. For your information, it was after the arrest and death of Yusuf that the whole thing bomeranged and got out of hands. And I think it was at this point that it was hijacked by some people somewhere, because if you can recollect, majority of the members then were illiterate women and children who may have been brain washed.

So, to say Muslims have not demonstrated against it is very far from the truth. So many Muslims have been killed in the past simply because they criticized BH.
You are confusing things here. Bokoharam was actually a militant group against Western values and Education started and sponsored by a commissioner in Borno State government.
Their fight first did not start in the mosque but with non-muslims and the Nigerian government represented by the Armed forces, people they claimed represented Western values and corrupt influence. Their leader was judiciuosly killec yes, he deserved anyway, an otherwise scenerio still would not have stopped the sect from going bad to worst as presently constituted. All that excuse of their Leader being killed are just illogical attempts at justification for their evils.
