mbhs139: You know, something use to amuse me about this BH issues. Since all this days that the JTF has been killing 52, 28, 14 members, and so on, of the BH boys, aren't they suppose to have finished? Or are they being imported from another State or Country? You are obviously NAIVE and probably have not left Lagos before or the southwest region. So FG and JTF will just came up with a story about BokoHaram and bomb churches and mosques? For what? So the Borno contigents told you that Borno is peaceful state and Bokoharam only exists in the figments of newspapers thrills and exaggerations. So you were expecting to see a violent Borno state contingent or what? Guy grow up abeg. It is because they know you are naive and ignorant of the goings-on that is why they gave you a picture you want to see. You telling them that southerners generally see everyone from the state as a Bokoharam member or that all of them had been killed by Bokoharam showed how lacking you are in analysing issues and they probably sensed it and chose to make it easier for you by coming down to your level of understanding. |
lorretta u: Pls did they have to expose the fact that they have moles in the boko haram camp?na wa.show off.now their strategy has become known.why not keep that a secret and use it in other camps.amateurs.have you considered that they probably added that information just to cause mistrust amongst themselves, a reverse strategy. It is possible they did not have any mole there but just had to add that for psychological effects knowing the eddddiots will take the bait. Trust me, even the almighty CIA does thesame thing, they release certain kind of information that will otherwise be hidden just to give the enemy camp the impression that they are being watched or infiltrated and are not as invicible as they may have thoughts. That way, the enemy gets paranoid and may start making mistakes that will lead to his capture. So yeah, there is intelligence in releasing such an information, it all depends on what the hope to achieve releasing it. |
mazaje: Whose view of the old testament should be considered authoritative, that of the christians or jew? I say this because the two religions have very different views of the old testament. For example, the jews see the garden of eden story as man’s elevation to a moral sense and awareness, while christians on the other hand see the eden story as the fall of man. Jews do not recognize and believe the original sin hypothesis while christians do and that is a great difference since both of them read from the same book.these are mere issues underlying the difference. The main issue that differentiate the Christians from the Jews belief order is the messianic fullfilment by Jesus of the Tora. While authorities in the Jewish belief system flatly denies anyone like Jesus ever existed let alone be the messiah the Tora talked about, many hold the views that he may have existed but not as A god in human skin. Neither was he the expected Messiah as Jesus does not meat any of the requirements of the messiah. -the messiah must be a jew by dafault of the father's side, the Jewish system does not recognize matriachal geneology. -he had to be from the davidic order, a royalty, a king that will rule isreal and establish a great kingdom strong enough to conquer Rome. Jesus was not a king, just a jobless religious fanatic going about with a handful of largely illiterate men with no work to do. - the prophetic messiah of the jewish tora is to be born by like any other child, no divine conception whatso ever. -finally hom getting killed was not part of the prophesies the messiah was to fulfil. |
Eko Ile: Another good reason why I don't take ibo loudmouths like you seriously. It's obviously too hard for you to see beyond your tribally reconfigured and jundiced nose.If there was to be a poll between the two of us on who is to be labelled tribalistically paranoid, you will take the crown by a distant swift. You are a lackey that needs to be in word fight to validate himself as intelligent or popular. You are not exactly known here as a fine breed of intelligent Yoruba commentator, you just one of the many combative eeeediots on NL who vent their daily frustrations on NL and boast of things they can never muster the nerve to tell an igbo man in real life. Stewpid paper tiger that only makes noise on NL. |
Yes those oil blocs were mostly alloted to the present owners by military fiat and corruption but not without the willing and docile actions of their leaders, they come out and sing discordant tunes only to go behind the scene and do sth else. Until young and restless Niger Deltan youths started wrecking havoc which started interfering with the Finances of the Feds, their leaders were just loud mouths that talked too much and ended it there. Na now una wan begin shout like say una no know as e dey go before. . . Scheeeeew!!! |
ijaw citizen: Why do you igbos like combining South-South & South-East when such issues are being discussed? You try to create the impression to other nigerians that igbos and other South-south groups are politically and culturally homogenous, and this is very wrong. Stop spreading Biafra propaganda, Niger Delta has come of age, you can't just annex our territory anymoreWho are the Ijaws in the scheme of things even there in the eastern region? How many Ijaw people are you likely to see on the streets of Portharcourt, Asaba, Warri, Calabar and Uyo. You seem to have this exaggerated belief that the Ijaw is a force to reckon with, abeg leave that false impression for the Yorubas, at least they have got Lagos to show for their boastful confidence what has the Ijaw nation got to talk about, Bayelsa? You are a joke! Many of you Ijaws like to mix things up when Niger Delta and South-south region are being discussed. You seem to think that only the Ijaws make up the people of the Niger Delta or only the South-south produces oil for Nigeria. Imo state where I come from has oil producing communities with more than a hundred oil wells, Abia and more recently Anambra also have oil wells as well. Even if we were to discuss the south-south region, you can't do that without talking about the Igbos, there are well over indigenous igbo people in the south-south than your Ijaw people, so what is the dumb comment about eastern and all that crap you are spewing? Igbos dey come beg una for oil or for money? Bayelsa state with only 8 LGAs collects 12billion per month yet you can't compare Yenogoa to any SouthEastern capital. Igbos don't even give a damn about your oil cos we aint lacking, oil or not. Take your ignorant misplaced comment to your criminally minded leaders that sold you all short. All they do is talk when they should be acting. |
Like say I no dey live for Lag or see the reality of market management in Lagos. Seriously, people like Demdem, Eko ile and co are bad representatives when it comes to debating issues detached from tribal sentiments and fairness. Igbo people may dominate the sales of wares at Ladipo, however, they are not the only ones doing business there. Ladipo is not even anywhere as big and organized as Onitsha main market yet there is some sanity and consciousness to keep the market clean and running. This is so because government does its own part of providing basic amenities, regulations and agents to monitor and execute rules and regulations. People wont be shyting in the canal if the mushin local government were equally concerned for the provision of basic amenities like toilets, agreed areas for dumping refuse, defined space for people to use as markets, monitoring agents to enforce regulations and standards just as vehement they are im the collection of tax and other money scheming levies they exploitatively collect from people that use the markets. If all the Mushing Local government people want to do is only collect tax and leave their responsibilties to the traders and market users then they should not be alarmed at the deterioration of the market and the area, it is a market place after all. All these uneccessary arguments by the likes of Eko-ile and his ignoble gang are useless tribal sentiments that wont even pass as logic in a debate with intelligent people that care about facts and not whether Fashola is a legendary myth like Jesus Christ of Nazerth in the Christian bible. There is clearly no maturity and sincerity of purpose in the way folks on NL debate both Yorubas and Igbos alike, it is like a stewpid chest beating competion for who can say the filthiest things to another tribe. Abeg make una grow up jor! |
I doubt the Lagos state goverment are ready for this battle with Awon Omo onile. Those guyz are just annoying and wicked. Most of the idiots claiming onile don't even own any land, they just claim Onile by virtue of their indigen status. The matter is a serious one o |
hmmmm. . . This is serious |

Did anyone notice how during that Fuel subsidy in the NORTH, the almighty BOKOHARAM never struck? Even when it was reported that people-both christians and muslims slept on the streets, at a point Christians were reported to stand gurad when the Muslims prayed and vice versa? In all of these, an opportunity for the blood thirsty edddiots parading as BokoHaram to strike and waste people en mass, we never heard shot let alone a bomb blast. Yet these Northern elites want us to believe that BokoHaram was as a result of poverty wrecked on the poor. Na person wey never understand Naija politics na im go come here dey shout GEJ blablabla, the man knows what he is doing very well, he is slowly but surely dismantling the the influence of the Northern Oligarchy through his silence and reluctance to go with popular opinions echoed mostly in the SW. Imagine filling stations in the East having difficult to get fuel on a steady basis from major marketers and even NNPC, WHY? Na them dominate the Oil industry. Fuel in Sokoto state sells 98N per litre in most filling station but in the East, it is the opposite. I used to think it was as a result of greed from our own markerters but when I started working closely with these folks I discovered it was all politics. They don't control nothing! Most of the major marketers and the people at the heads of department are not even people from the region that are supposed to be controlling things. It will take time to even out this unequal and dishonest distributions. Bad enough, common folks in the north do not even benefit from these largesse. They are instead further impoverished and deliberately kept at a literate leve that will not make them understand the goings-on by their own leaders know how inhibitive the islamic religion is, these folks wont take a chance either compared to their counterparts in the South. |
It is only people that are yet to understand the dynamics of Nigeria's oil politics and ownership that will be surprised at the senator's revelation. Reality is begining to set in for the Naija Deltans whose elders am sorry to say, can be uneccessarily petty and sentimental. Until recently, they did not even understand the people that were truly ripping them off and serving them crumbs. The other time I was discussing with my Uncle's friend in oil and gas, the guy was like complaining that Yoruba guys had forced some of the Igbo and SS heads at NNPC, and his filling station is having problems getting fuel on time from some of the marketers and Depots. He was in partnership with NNPC for a while but was forced out by the tribal politics at play, now he is with Oando and in a way is still complaining. That explains why even though the oil is from the East, it is only in the East that one is likely to pay more money per litre of fuel. During my service in Sokoto state, I got an insight into the politics of oil subsidy. In the village where I served, Sabon Birnin LGA, you will that that from the market place to say 2km-3km stretch of distance, there are about 10 filling stations, yet the roads do not get much traffic to warrant such a high concentration of filling stations in such a short stretch of the road. Funny enough, many of these filling stations are not your regular filling stations, they do not even sell fuel per se but their tankers are always offloading at the stations. Curiously, Sabon Birnin is a has border villages to Niger, people come in from Niger to buy our subsidized fuel at probably a higher rate per gallon, in one particular occassion, I saw this particular trailer loader with 30-40litre gallons filling up at the station. It was then it dawned on me that these guyz did not actually open these filling stations because the business was booming, even in border towns 2-3hrs away from Sokoto Town, they were preferably selling to Nijerians from across the boarders-black market in large scale. The filling statations probably gives them more licence to buy fuel in bulk and store in their reserviors. Funny enough, I doubt if any of these filling station have done caliberation, leak or even pressure tests before setting up, they are probably not in the rada of regulatory bodies like DPR and co. This trend is noticeable mostly in border towns and villages to other countries. And you wonder why they were one of the most fierce opposition to the subsidy removal, many of their people even died in the process. Jonathan to them is a threat to their continous control of the oil blocs, by 2015, many of the oil bloc licences issued will expire, a Jonathan government is not likely to continue this lopsided ownership or extend many of these licences that were fraudulently given to them by the government of IBB,BUHARI,ABACHa and co. The northern politicians are no stewpid afterall but their greed will unrattle even their allies in the south to the point issues like this one will start taking the driver's seat at debates in the NA. Jonathan's presidency with the unfettered suuport from the SE especially is beginining to open the eyes of the Niger Deltans, thanks to the youth unrestiveness in the region, even the elders were too cowardly to address such issues. |
shymexx: Even if they revoke all the licenses, it's still going to be business as usual... Just a few southern elites getting richer, and the rest of the country would still be in abject poverty...Seriously, if you lack the right knowledge to argue Nigeria's oil politics, it is better you don't comment at all than write utter nonsense that shows how misplaced your criticism is. Your basis of argument is greatly flawed and misplaced, it shows that you are detached from the core of the subject and should be reading other people's informed comments. |
omonnakoda: Subsidy bill rose from 256 billion to more than 2 Trillion Naira in under 4 years and GEJ was right to seek to stop that. But Nigerians wonder how the figure grew from under $2 billion to over $8 billion in 3 years. We non know . Yet the petroleum mininister is still in office and no one in prison. The reality is GEJ himself did not understand what was going on.Ngozi Okonjo Iweala came into office and by that time the subsidy was 2 trillion. I want to believe she acted in good faith. But how did it get to that figure. So JEG should have first maintained that such obscene payment continues while an investigation is launched into it, right? The fuel subsidy is a very apt example here, in Jonathan's case it was very justified to stop such payment. How you choose to interprete is not Jonathan's Wahala, people in the east were already paying that much while fraudulent Oil marketers who were mostly business men from the SW and the north were busy undermining the system and selling fuel outside Nigeria's borders. There was no talk of sacrificing then but now just because folks want to defend Fashola's high-handedness in the matter, they are talking about sacrifices, what has Govt done for those common folks there? That place is like that not because they love to live in such deplorable conditions but because there is no presence of any government efforts there. Fashola likes to act like the government does not have its own role to play in ensuring these places are kept clean. All they care about is collect taxes and build elitist projects. Fashola is working yet, in my house I have to dig my own pipe for water, pay full 1yr rent to my landlord, the psp people dont even come around anymore so I ve to be creative with my refuse dump, the road to my street is a mess, and so on. . What exactly does he do for me despite my huge taxes. Abeg make we hear word jor |
slimtik: Book Haram oya this is the time to act! Fish out these sodomists and castrate them all!If BKH boys perfom there, I will understand. |
Billyonaire: Whats my business if a man decides to Bleep the wrong orifice(shit hole). Sodomy is sex aberation. They deserve our pity not hatred, cos they are bestial.PITY hOW?? Are you implying that it is a pathological ailment?? Cos I don't know of any serious independent research that has come up with such claims backed up with evidence. Don't tell me about queer science research by gay scientist is your basis for such statement. They all made their choices, I don't think it is about pity, more like stuuupiiid indulgence occassioned by misplaced sense of freedom and liberty. |
My Problem with these gays is the fact that they always want to throw it in your face that they are gay and you must accept or understand them. Any contrary opinion will be met with accusations of taking their human rights bla bla bla. . . Me I don't support killing or maiming them or o but if 2morro some enraged group of people decides to flush them by killing or maiming them, I will understand. Not everyone is a liberal jerk that falls for everything west. If you can attend such a church then be ready to face whatever comes out of it, period. |
d u n z y b a e b e at g m a i l dot c o m
like for real, is this an email? |
I am begining to view most staunch ACN supporters from the SW as closeted tribalists and pretenders. See how most of you are quick to talk about sacrifices, yet JEG towed this same line of argument and you all poured out on the streets of OJOTA and started a Las Vagas styled show only to throw insults at Jonathan and win some cheap political points but in reality, we all knew it was a neccessary evil we had to confront. If you are in the oil and gas sector you will know this, it was with this understanding that most people in the Eastern region shunned that protest. It was more of a sentimental and greedy protest to continue status quo than any honest fight for the poor. Now a gross violation of people's right to exist is being perpetrated by their favourite man and they have all thrown caution and moderation into the wind to support a gang style take over in the name of cleaning up the place. |
PECO4KING: Someone said if u are not born as a chirstain or muslim, how will u know if ur religion is right, that is a good question. There re cases where some children will be brought up as a muslim and later some children will be converted to another religion and while some will stay to their parent religion. So if u re brought up from a chirstain or muslim home that doesn't not mean u will believe in your family religion. This is the height of ignorance and stupifying superstition. All you have as proof to the truthfulness of Allah are ridiculous claims of Allah written on a fish, Leave, a baby carrying the Koran and a kid reciting it. Wow! Education and exposure seem to be alien to your concept of religious philosophy. By the way, I have assorted drugs that can make you see Jesus tattoo on a woman's butt and mohammed smoking a joint in a heavenly joint. You want some Trust me, it will make you a believer. . Lol. . By the way, majority of people born into a religion stay put in their default religious beliefs only few go on to another religion while many avoid religion all together after stumbling on some very evident facts that can't be reconciled with the realities of their religious beliefs. For instance, if I were born a muslim in a place like SW nigeria, I surely wont remain a muslim long after reading those vague violent koranic verses whose ideology the Wahabbi Salafis in Saudi Arabia are using to maim, kill, oppress women and control people, thesame ideology extremist sect like the Alqaeda and BokoHaram have used to justify their act of terrorism against hapless people. I believe common sense will tell me this whole religious BS is man's creation from the set go. Since I decided to give religion a rest and just be a good person and live with my imperfections without feelings of any guilt or misplaced sense of approbation towards any unseen deity, I have been able to live my life happily, in control of it, more honest to my cause, open-minded and above all very understanding of people's genuine plight. Most of these feelings and consideration religion blocks you from having. Only religion will ask you to kill another man and you will do it without flinching cos you have the false impression that you are justified. Again, religion is a curse, christianity and islam are white and yellow man's curse to the black man. |
Seriously, I have never heard about christian extremism(that involves violence) . Please enlighten me.
At the risk of sounding insulting and rude, I must say this: besides the happy-feel good, emotional sermon of their pastors that only discuss the surface of Christianity, most Christians are ignorant of the historicity of their religion. They all think it is some heavenly divine ish that spread through meekness and mere GOD-SPELs. May be you should read a little about the destructions christians wrecked especially against people they call pagans, heathens, idol worshipers, dissidents and so on. . .how do you think the illuminati group came about? You realy need to open your eyes there, if realy you are interested in know a about christian history as written from an unbiased perspective, I could send you couple of books, all you need to do is drop your email. |

Religion is a CURSE seriously. And can the hypocritical Christians here shut the hell up with the their unneccessary tirade against the islam, muslims are equally victimized by these religiously brainwashed looneies. The point here is that religious extremism is dangeroue whether perpetrated by muslims or christians. Fact is, we are all better off without all these religions-christianity, Islam, Hindu and co. Their books and teachings can be vague and susceptible to misinterpretations and extremism. Christians have done their own in the past now it is the turn of Islam to do its own. Religion is a curse! |
