Gooogle: Let me have your address, I need to send you one MOET.
Some of the igbo folks here are just too iliterate, always living in 1967 delusion.
We need to start drawing a line between the "igbo-igbos" and the "igbos-whatever".
Their bigotry stinks to the heavens, heavily deluded and pathologically selfish. Always about what is in for them
in any arrangement
My Brother, on the contrary, to me, this time it should be about what we stand to get as we join in re-positioning Nigeria. If Okorocha is there so he can be V.P to Buhari or Tinubu then Igbos will have to switch to plan B. This is Politics not some moral "God bless you" game, Igbos have sacrificed a lot on the alters of Nigeria's oness, I will be the las one to support any arrangement that will make an Igbo man play secon fiddle in Nigeria's leadership again. Let Buhari or Tinubu be the vice, they are no one's favourites either. I support Okorocha's presence because it is politically expedient that we have options espcially now at this early stage. At this point we can negotiate anything. I don't trust both GEJ and the whole of the PDP to do anything that will give the Igbo man leadership of this country. JEG to me has become everyone's joke. There is too much pushing around going on between him and the north that should cause anyone discomfort.
In as much as i love Okorocha, him okorocha is becoming annoying these days. What is Okorocha feeling like if i may ask?

I think we all got carried away with Okorocha lakadiska performance in Imo state. Now i realized that DEDE1 is not just an elderly man, but a wise elder who can sit down and sight what is on top of Iroko tree. I always disagree with DEDE1 about Rochas but now i realized that DEDE1 studied Rochas from afar.

DEDE1 wherever you maybe i want to appreciate you for been the kind of man you are, a person like you will be a great eyes for Ndigbo only if we can listen to you.

Rochas should stop parading himself as igbo leader because to be an igbo leader you need to be selfless and pay maximum sacrifice like Ikemba Ojukwu the finest soldier Did. You don't just go about parading yourself as a leader without nothing to show for it.

Okorocha before you promise your OPC APC party Anambra state Governorship how sure are you that you can deliver Imo state which is your state to them?

For avoidance of doubt, i am from imo state oguta precisely, my uncle hold a vital position in Imo state Government i can authoritatively tell you that many of Okorocha's colleagues are not happy with the manner Okorocha is handling issue of APGA and now issue of this APC.

For what i learned, Okorocha cannot win Imo state Governorship election come 2015 with the way things is going.

This guy is fast showing everyone his real intention.
Guy you are talking to yourself. I am also from Imo State and I understand that APGA is a very divided party caused by people with greed and self-serving plans even before the arrival of Rochas.
I like what Rochas has done and the way he spoke about the issue, he knows of course joining the merger was a neccessary evil that must be done especially when it is very clear that JEG has lost the support and goodwill of the generality of Nigerians and is so afraid of not getting the northern supoort than getting our support.
This is politics not some emotinal clap-trap about igbo-yoruba-hausa civil war rivalry. Many Igbos started PDP but where are they today? Abeg free Rochas jare. He is doing what needs to be done even when it makes him look odd.

CyberG: I don't think it's a good idea for any party, even the coalition, to win the governorship in all states. Otherwise, we might have another "single" party running Nigeria like before. I would rather hope that PDP wins most of the states they control in the East, APGA and APC wins one state each in the zone so we can see which party makes progress for the people and have some way to compare. Also, iboz are still undecided what they want and it's better they have a chance to choose. The key architects and parties of the merger ACN-CPC have more experience as they most likely learned from their past attempt at a merger and more established in their regions and should continue to provide key leadership. I think it is self-defeating for anyone (Rochas for example) to describe himself as the "beautiful bride" because there is none - you must earn your name and way up just like key actors in the ACN and CPC did winnin most of the states in the SW and North respectively. Rochas MUST demonstrate convincing potentials, prove himself in Imo over 8 years and if he does, persuade his zone to follow his lead and then may then challenge for the presidency. Any thinking that suggests that he or anyone can just be handed the mandate, usurp the clear, planned, patient and painstaking building of the merger must be jettisoned.

It will be very good, however, that by winning all the states in the north, a couple in the middle belt, all/most in the SW and one in the SE, the coalition wins the presidency. On a final note, every attempt to rig by the retardeen must be checked by all means, he is one desperate fella that should not be trusted.
For the first time you have commented without throwing those childish tribal tantrums like you always do.
It is good that you recognize that Igbos this time are undecided about the merger-and for a good reason too. I agree with most of what you postulated but have some problems with the notion that the ACN and CPC are the most important group in the merger. There goes "that alienating tag and entitlement". The CPC is in control of how many states in the north, if we were to go by Party popularity and control? Just one party, gaddamit!! And you dare arrogantly say they are the deal in this merger? Because of buhari who obviously is an overspent bag that Nigerians do not want.
Look, as long as some people continue to see themselves and party or tribe as some demi-gods in the party that are deserving of certain rights, they won't go past beyond nominal change- "same shit different different toilet". And you wonder why Igbos are skepticalhuh
Everyone is important if APC is to succeed, a victory for the APC in the SEast will have spiral effect in the whole of the East in case you don't know that. Yes the ACN has almost all of the SW but is that enough to assume that they can go on with such a streak unopposed by the PDP that is doing all it can to reposition itself there? If you know anything about victories and underdogs you will know that it is difficult to get victory and even more difficult to retain it when it is finally attained. Don't go about assuming that all that is needed is the north and SW, you will be making a joke out of your party at the polls as any support the APC does not get from any particular region or group will be fully given to an already strong party like the PDP with all its enormous power and political machibation at its disposal.

Eze Promoe: Here is the real fact. Even APGA which is called an Igbo party don't have full domination of the South East:

Anambra - APGA
Enugu - PDP
Ebonyi - PDP
Abia - PDP
Imo - APGA

In the next elections, if APGA is to fully join the APC with their "body, spirit and soul" they are likely to win only in Imo state and if they'll be so so lucky, they'll get Abia but not Anambra or Enugu. APC is a failed party from the begining with the likes of Buhari and Tinubu.

If I were you, I wont be so emotional with my stance on this issue. You and I know that it is very neccessary to have a very viable and credible opposition to the PDP. However, I believe it is a double edged sword especially for us Igbos: I would'nt want us to join any party-be it PDP or APC without first properly identifying what is it we stand to gain with either of them. If APC only sees our contribution as a way to get eastern votes without considering us as equal partners that have every right just like every other tribe to ask that they field in an Igbo man as their presidential candidate then it is a folly merger that will result in nothing for us. Also, if Jonathan is also too afraid of the north to the point that he is to sure that our votes are already assured without thinking of our own benefit, then we need to give him the shock, that we were the most important deciding factor in his last election even though so many non-igbos like to play it down, if he thinks he is afraid of the hausa political number then he has to be more afraid of the igbo strategic political numbers as well. We are not small in number trust me, they may claim to be getting small figures from the SE region but you and I know that the Igbo man's votes are mostly clumped up and purposefully mistaken and counted as the votes of the tribes or region that they stay.
Igbos need to emphasis its political demography, we are like the most important power bloc if we care to take advantage of our people scattered all over Nigeria in large numbers. I was in Sokoto 3days ago, you will be surprised at our numbers there inspite of the whole bokoharam brouhaha. Jonathan should be reminded of that. He should be told that Igbos will take thier votes to the best bidder if he thinks we are not as important as the Hausa oligarchy that he so much fears. We will tell him that Igbo contributed strategically to his victory and 25% vote required in non-igbo states like Lagos Kaduna, Abuja, Kano, Adamawa, Sokoto, katsina, Nasssarawa, kogi, Benue and even his own sub region the SS. Abi him think say we be fool ni?
I like the way the game is presently playing, let us have two power bloc until the d-day, while Rochas is busy with this new merger, which Dare I say have potentials if handled well, Obi can as well continue to maintain relationship with the centre until something changes. Let it play as it is going, Igbo politicians need to leverage ob this opportunity
and lunch themselves. Period

brown3: but you dont renegotiate why the present contract is still on. Messi and ronaldo where able to take a pay rise after their initial contract espired. You dont renegotiate or take a pay rise No matter how ferfect or magical u re, untill your present contract espired.
My guy if you don't know something just ask instead of assuming and commenting with false authority.
Wizkid signed a 2-year contract with Banky in 2009 and it expired in 2012, why do you think the issue of contract review is taking the front burner.
The kid has been exploited enough, he is in his rights to ask for a renegotiation that will greatly benefit him this time. The former contract was a 50-50 between him and Banky, then from his own 50% the former manager who introduced him to banky collects 25%. . .which kind nonsense be that.
Celebrities › Re: Wizkid And Banky.W Fight on Twitter! by rhymz(m): 7:28am On Feb 18, 2013
I doubt the authenticity of those tweets as their timelines do not follow. However, it is very obvious that Banky W is bitter and openly angry at the kid's decision to go solo.

Insinuating that he had bitten the finger that fed him is a little extreme and childish, as far as business was concerned, it was mutually beneficial to both of them, Wizkid was the cash cow of EME, if he asked for a re-negotiation of his contract with Banky W, it was deserving and should be seen in that light.
I think he deserves more than what he is presently getting. Banky should have been more charitable and understanding of his demands since it is clear "na him be the cash cow", getting emotional and acting like you are going to discipline him like a child by not giving him audience or attention will only serve to further severe their already strained relationship. To say you want to call off his bluff is a shortsighted move informed by emotions and not good business sense.

He needs to understand that conditions have changed since he signed the kid, the kid now has the talent, fame and financial wherewithal to set up on his own and even become a bigger artiste than he presently is. Am sure he has professionals all around him to do whatever he, Banky W had been doing until their separation. The most likely loser between them is Banky W, i.e if he cares to know that his financial returns will henceforth take a dive heavily.

Besides Wiz Kid in EME the other guys are not realy talented, skales for instance is not even an average rapper to begin with. Nigga has to think very well before getting angry and throwing temper tantrums. Even if the kid leaves the group, who says they can't still do business? Only a kitten nigga gets emotional where common sense should be applied.

dayokanu: ^^ You cant deceive anyone with your tripe. Buhari is the most popular and loved Northern politician in the North. During my stay in Bauchi even when there was no election I saw it in remote villages, towns and cities the followership Buhari controlled.

And in the 2011 election Buhari won the whole Northern states NW and NE. North Central was not really Buhari stronghold as NC included states like Kwara, Kogi, Benue, Plateau

If Buhari ca negotiate his APC with ACN in the SW.

In 2011 Buhari had 13 states if he can add 6 SW states to that thats 19 states and a minner already.

I still believe with more effort from the Buhari, APC team he can win 2 of Kwara, Kogi, Nasarawa, Taraba which he lost in 2011.

I think you should learn to reason logically and without emotions its making you sound as retardded as ever
hahahahahah. . . Like seriously, Buhari popular how? In the north, Buhari got a total of 12million votes, guess how many Jonathan got? Around 8million votes and you say Mr Buhari is popular in the north? Are you fricking kidding me? What kind of popularity is that? By the way, jonathan showed what the true meaning of being popular means in his victories across the south in the midst of many contest including your Mr Popular northerner. You sound lame in this line of argument, tribalism is a serious disease. . . .get well soon.

As much as I want a strong opposition to the PDP, and trust most Igbos do, the APC does not seem like it if it continues to fashion itself as a party owned by a tribe or region. PDP is good at not making such mistakes, you newbies can learn a thing or two from them after all.

dayokanu: WHo won the presidentil election in all those Northern states in 2011
Again Mr Dayo, you are obviously not conversant with the goings-on in Nigeria's political landscape. The Presidential election was basically between Jonathan and Buhari and the percentage of votes that went to both of them obviously showed that Buhari is only popular on the fringes and in the Lagos-Ibadan controlled press. Jonathan got about 58% of Nigerians' votes while Buhari got around %32(causing him to cry) that is almost half of Jonathan's votes. Apart from the NW where he won most states hands down, the remaining parts; NE and NC it was a head to head struggle. Don't forget that these regions were thought to be his stronghold yet he struggled so hard to get most of their votes despite all the tribalistic elements and appeal brought into it.

Unlike the crying general, Jonathan did not need to struggle in his strong-holds; the SE, SS and even the very capricious SW with political leaders whose promises mean nothing to them. Thanks to the Igbos and other SS people scattered across the wishy-washy region that pulled out her own Joker in the person of Ribadu-thier population coupled with some moderate Yoruba voters were enough to swing the majority of the votes to GEJ.
So abeg get rid of that CPC popularity myth in your head created by those by-partisan journalists in the Lagos-Ibadan press to give false impression, Buhari is not that popular as y'all SWesterners like to exaggerate. Yeah, may be in his homestate but in the whole of the north, that is a big Lie. Nigga is overspent and redundant, I know this cos I am here in the north presently, I repeat again, Buhari is not any popular than an average northern politician across the region. I bet you, he wont win a state election in any northern state besides his home state. That's how popular he and his CPC are. I am tired of schooling you jor. Drop those tribalistic lens you use to view every political issue, it is making you sound senile and unintelligent, walahi.
first of all, when I say "YOU" I mean the entire igbo population which numbers in the millions! not a mere 100 person strong weak igbo loudmouths who feel themselves as spokesperson for the entire igbo race. The funny thing is that these loudmouths tend to be folks who don't even live in igboland!! they are mostly in other western and northern territories (or even, abroad!) as they call for so called "self determination"

CORRECTION: Two million people died in a war they were not implicit in. Most of them were innocent victims MANIPULATED,ROPED AND FORCED into a war by their greedy, selfish leaders who somehow managed to maintain fat potbellies (not from kwanshiokor mind you) throughout the length of the conflict!

I don't mind the igbo people separating from Nigeria if it is an overwhelming wish of the millions of igbo people (not just self-appointed spokespersons aka eze ndigbos, ohanaezes or whatever titles these fat old men give themselves). and trust me, if it were an overwhelming wish by the igbo people, biafra would be in existence already by now! because millions of people acting toward a single goal cannot be toyed with.

and of course nigeria won't kick out igbo territory. what country voluntarily gives up a substantial portion of its territory. What it could do is kick out the people and keep the land. many countries have done that. literally wiped out or kicked whole groups of undesired people from its borders either by stripping them of citizenship status or other means. Nigeria has no problems with igbo folks so far so what's the need for that?
if you want that to happen then you can start instigating problems. give other tribes in Nigeria a reason to retaliate or hate the igbos among them (as igbo are the main tribe that lives among others. which put them in a vulnerable position other tribes don't have to worry about. and maybe that's why it's the migrant igbos who are most vocal about secession since they feel the vulnerability the most. but why don't they just return to their region?).
so anyway, one thing you can do is to instigate trouble just the way the igbo coup leaders did that led to pogroms in the north. of course the fact that some igbo folks there were jubilating and celebrating the coup in the streets of northern states made things worce. maybe that's one way you can set fire back into your secessionist movement and get mass igbo support for your goals.
1. instigate trouble,
2.let the other tribes retaliate on the igbos living among them.
3.and then use the retaliation as a way to convince igbo masses that there is a genocide attempt on their lives if they don't join biafra.
4. use the masses as tools for your aim. human sacrifices if you wish. lol
5. mission accomplished (depending on how strong your plan is).
guy do yourself a favour and STF, I wonder why onlytruth is replying to your lame and childish posts. dayokanu: Didnt the CPC win all the Northern states in the 2011 election
hahaha....you have just exposed your ignorance of the Nigerian polity, CPC is only in control of just one state, Nassarawa. And if you knew anything about the North, you would know that Nassaraw is a mix of many tribes who do not neccessarily share thesame cultural features or views with the Hausa majority.
The ANPP are even more popular witg three states under their grasp: zamfara, Yobe and Borno. The rest of the north is still largely PDP and they are extremely popular with supporters ready to kill at any slight hint of confrontation with any other opposition. In fact, if we were to go by contributions, the CPC is the Joker in the merger with just only one state in their control and a crying ex-general who is not ready to support anyone but himself.
If you think the East which has more of its people scattered across Nigerian than any other region( most times in the right amount to cause an upset or balance in votes) are not important enough to state their own conditions if they will wholeheartedly join the merger is reflection of your political naivity. Every region is just as important in that merger as they see themselves and the conditions that got them stay-put in the merger. Telling or dictating to Igbos(who justifiably have very good reasons for their demand) to wait behind some overspent northerner or a Yoruba pretender in the guise of meritocracy is to undermine and overlook their importance in the union. Igbos wont box themselves in such corners again, never again, we will demand it, arm-twist, make compromises, choose anyone that best suits our aims cos after all said and done, it is all about the bigger picture-political self-preservation. Let no man dictate anything to us, shikena.

kofoshi: o
No, no, I think you read me wrongly.

I didn't mean that the ibo vote is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things, but that it is so for APC because they believe that the Eastern region is a PDP strong hold. APC is not blind to the fact that ibos (as often touted on this forum as well) have more commonalities with ijaws and taking into account, similar reasoning from ibo posters on this thread alone, that they are giving their support to Jonathan because they know that he would hand over power to them after his tenure, APC knows that fighting tooth and nail for ibo votes is a lost course. I would conclude that APC's focus is to secure the SW, the core north and the north central. If those three regions can be put firmly in the bag, then they would have majority votes over the outside region of SS and SE who have a firm allegiance with Jonathan.

That is all i'm saying o.
hahahahahah. . .my friend, I just hope you are not considering a career in politics because if you are, you have a hard time getting along with such a very narrow-minded mentality.
I can sense the general lack of reality check in many of the posts from Yoruba commentators, they seem to assume that homogenuity is the only way they can win. I am presently in the north, I have participated in countless elections here as INEC presiding officer, trust me, CPC is only popular in the papers and the reasons are very obvious, the print media especially is controlled mostly by SWesterners. Anyway, that is besides the point; my point is this, if I were to go by your own logic, the APC will have to also forfeit the northern votes cos in reality, the PDP is hugely popular there. So is it ok to also use thesame logic and dismiss the north cos seriously if the PDP and CPC should do a popularity contest here in the north, CPC wont even come a distant 5th. So whats your point? Concentrate only on the SW votes, apparently it is the only region that has some degree of uniformity and ease to win ....lol

kofoshi: Haba, let's keep it clean now.

The bottom line is that Ohaneze did not have to make that demand when the ibo votes is really inconsequential to APC, anyway.

The way I see it, even if APGA had co-signed, ibo votes would still have gone to jonathan in 2015. In effect, asking APGA or succumbing to Ohaneze's demand would be a futile effort in the long run.
