In politics, we have voted id from other region. Even when Ojukwu contested, we didn't vote for him much. In 2019, we voted completely for a Hausa man, no body shouted that we are been tribalistic. But the moment we voted for our Obi, everyone descended on us saying that we are being tribalistic.

The north that have been voting for their so s almost every election have never been accused of been tribalistic.

Me I don tire for the thing I dey see for nairaland.

I keep seeing that igbos hate other tribe, I keep seeing that igbos do not respect their host.... I keep seeing all sort of things.

But I ask again, what have the Igbos done wrong in Nigeria.?

The Igbos are scattered all over Nigeria, but I have never seen or heard where the Igbos fought the local community and take over their land. All the land, houses, and shops that we own, we bought or rented it. We did not demolish anybody's house, we didn't kill and stole their land yet we are been called all sort of names.
There have been too many riots in the past. There have been riots in the north, in South west targeted against one tribe or religion, but I am not sure that there have ever been a riot I the east targeted against the yorubas or the hausas, except for now that UGM and IPOD issue sprang up. Yet they say we hate other tribes.

There have been fighting Several times between the hausa and yorubas in the south west over little issue... Am yet to see any region where there was a fighting between the Igbos and the locals. Yet they said na the igbo dey cause trouble, whilst all we need is just a place to do business.

They said Igbos don't welcome people to their region, but am yet to see where a group of people where chased out from the east for the sole reason that they are not Igbo. A little traveling in the east will reveal to high the high population of hausas residing in the east, despite the issue of UGM, a lot of them are still there. It is not our fault that some people have refused to travel out of their region.

They said we don't give people land. If you have your money, go to the east and look for land, you will see and buy. When we went to other regions, we bought land with our money, no govt agency gave us land free.
So when you get to the east, look for land and buy, then come back and tell us if you were denied the land because you are Igbo.

So with all the money wey him dey waste for make up, she no fit do better birthday for her father.

Where is that guy that was talking down on Igbo men because they married Yoruba husband.

Come and see what a Yoruba man is doing to his Yoruba wife.

I think you draw this your conclusion from school hostel/lodge. People you believe to be stingy to themselves might not actually have. When I was In 100Lv and 200LV in school. My family had financial difficult, I was managing Life, the money they used to send to me to manage for 2weeks Was 1k Highest was 2k. As I was trying to manage 2k for weeks , people started calling me stingy, not knowing that I don't have the money. This 2k is what i will used to buy food stuff, pay for stuffs in school and take care of myself. So when you see guys around you living that kind of life don't think they are stingy to themselves

Being called stingy by a lady should be seen as a compliment. It means you are prudent and you have your priorities in order.

When you have gathered enough even your stinginess will be considered generosity as opposed to a generous broke man. Imagine you have 100m and assist a lady with 500k, would she not appreciate you over someone who has 150k, who gives her 50k?

But when a guys knows you are stingy, he doesn't use that as a reason to be insulting you because he knows that you owe him no obligation to give him money.

Just as the topic says... "I HAVE NEVER SEEN A MAN CALLING HIS FELLOW MAN STINGY OR BROKE..." Whenever I hear the word stingy/broke, it's definitely coming from a lady.

I was in an eatery yesterday and close by where about 3 ladies discussing ladies things. But what caught my attention was when they keep describing one guy(probably dating one of the ladies) as been stingy and broke. That he keep going around in his fancy car but can't bring out money to spend on them. That the last time they went out with him, that he was telling them not to order something above 3k that he doesn't have much on him. The ladies just kept laughing. One of them now said that "who know if that's even his car" another responded "maybe he's just an Uber driver".

I was just wondering in my mind how ladies will sit and instead of discuss investment and future plans, na who stingy and broke dey their mouth.

Right from my school days till date, I have not seen or heard a fellow man call another man "stingy and broke".

Even as students, when we go to our friends hostel room and there is nothing to eat, we just take it in good faith, no one will start calling him stingy for not giving us food.

Once an Igbo man does something that others do, it becomes an issue.
