I went to Ikoyi passport office today. I got there by 7am and i was allowed in by past 8am.
The officers at servicom were in a meeting so I had to wait till past 9 when they finished their meeting. I proceeded to stamp my guarantor's form and went to submit my documents at servicom.
After the officer filed my documents, he told me to come back for capturing on a date that would be communicated to me via text.
Since I had plans to do capturing today, I begged him but he refused and directed me to a senior officer. After about one minute of begging and explaining how far my place was, he finally allowed me to go for capturing.
I followed his directions and finally did the capturing. I left the passport office at exactly 11:30am. I was told my passport would be ready in 10 days.

Thanks to everyone that offered help during this process.

Dont leave it blank. If you do, you will still be asked to fill it. I went with mine blank and the officer who attended to me politely guided me on what needs to be filled.

I simply walked out, filled in the asset part myself (Cash = N162k, other assets = 1 car and shares certificates) and walked back in.

The only part you can leave blank is the third part on the first page. Cheers!

The cute lady beside me slept for the better part of the journey while I was finding it hard to sleep. I was calm tho cos I got TCC (travel clearance certificate) from my village ppl and they already promised not to follow me to Canada. So I had nothing to worry about.

Landed in Edmonton and saw that one of my checked in bags was ripped. I wasn't surprised tho cos the bag had a whole lot of orisirisi and panti foodstuffs.
Stepped out of the airport and was greeted with cold but I decided not to use my jacket, I got shocked when my host came wearing armless and said the weather was warm... Ki lo warm exactly? Are you people playing me ni? It was at that moment I started dreading winter. As I type this, my jacket is on while people are wearing pants n bra outside my window ��

I'm settling in quite well even tho I'm still in shock how 10pm can be looking like 4pm and 5am be looking like 9am. There's no way one can predict the time by looking outside in this country.

It's time to start 'living life' as opposed to just 'merely existing' in Nigeria

I have seen some illegal residence here and I don't think they have any issues. Police don't do stop an search. As long as you are here, no one will police you around. However, I do not know how they work or earn money.
