Too much African Magic/Nollywood/movie is dangerous to the sanity of an average human.
Except you can be disciplined enough to limit the use of the television to just watching news.
But how many people can do that.

This year I decided to perform an experiment.
Can we stay 1 month without watching the television?
Guess what, this is the 6th month.
No one even thinks of it again.
My kids' level of Concentration is now on the increase.
They sleep early.
They read more.
Their performance in school is far better.

I am not looking back on this TV thing ooh.
We no watch am for 6 months now and we no die.
No be say PHCN brings light and the next thing to think of is to go and watch movie.
That has ceased.

It's been amazing.

Wow!! How did you manage that?.. U will have to give me a 'No Television 101' course...

If I should try that, It will look like someone died in my family...

So what will you guys be talking about before they go to bed that supplement the TV time for six months? Or do u just chase them to go and sleep after dinner?

It's nothing.. it's just part of growing up... She watched it somewhere I believe thinking it's how to register displeasure when angry...
Many of us did it...U can't be scolded as a child and u just remain calm... Many slammed the door, others did other things like smashing toys on the wall, deliberately breaking dishes etc.. hers is to pack and go

That's great... My brain was not good enough for languages.. I tried Hausa language, it couldn't sink in the way any normal person should learn..,
so I dropped anything/ everything that has to do with Nigerian language.. I so much admire people that can read and write Nigerian languages

Don't mind Ms Maria. She has been oppressing me with her ability to speak and write Igbo language. I wrote ofe Owerri and she corrected me with ofe Owerre.

That was precisely what I kept on hearing people say those days.. How easy Hausa language was...

I managed to fly through it when it was compulsory in SS1... I guess I was smart enough to thick the correct multiple choice answer.. though I have zero knowledge of what I was doing.

However, please keep it up in terms of writing your language.. It's a thing of pride..

He constantly reminds me how difficult it'd be getting a job in this present state of the nation. Not even me, a son of nobody. He always reminds me of my worries

I'd shed tears at my closet, wet my pillow and slept off. I keep asking God for his mercy upon my life. His narcissistic behaviour and utterances had made me developed hatred for my family

This had always been the embarrassing moment i got from this particular guy.

If they can do that to their sister, they should do that to her also... that action of hers is called stealing.

They can talk to her, let her know you are disappointed in her, advice her, lets her see reasons not to engage in stuff like that again and ever ask her some personal life stuff like school, like what is she intending to do after school and all those stuff, so that she will feel she is also a member of the family.

I've just met lots of people that confuse this theory of evolution, and the confusion is so widespread that even I thought we evolved FROM apes.
