mystikal:
These are by no means my thougts, just quoting John Milton. i find it a bit comical, yet quite deep.

"Let me give you a little inside information about God. God likes to watch. He's a prankster. Think about it. He gives man instincts. He gives you this extraordinary gift, and then what does He do, I swear for His own amusement, his own private, cosmic gag reel, He sets the rules in opposition. It's the goof of all time. Look but don't touch. Touch, but don't taste. Taste, don't swallow. Ahaha. And while you're jumpin' from one foot to the next, what is he doing? He's laughin' His sick, fuckin' ass off! He's a tight-ass! He's a SADIST! He's an absentee landlord!"
what kind of comment if this?
PoliticsRe: Shocking! Nigerian New Customs Chief Forges Certificates by rickie4us(m): 5:28pm On Sep 07, 2009
No be today this kind of thing start. It may interest you to know that I found out that some people in the banking sector and other places actually used other people's results and certificates and changed their names all to get a job.
There is a case I heard of recently that 4 people are using the same name and the same certificate to work in choice places. This is not limited to guys alone. Some girls are also in the racket.

I went for the MTN 3G modem last year , it was super-fast , .and I was telling everybody there is nothing like it , in terms of personal internet connection , but I was still cautious though, that is talking about the Nigerian factor in which things that start well are not well managed.
Well, I was not far from the truth , the connection is really horrible now. It disconnects intermittently and makes working online quite frustrating.
I hope that Glo will offer a better service , being fully indigenous and I am considering joining them since they are claiming that it is going to 99.9% up time reliability. If this is really true, then I can set up my cafe.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Interview And Suit Wahala by rickie4us(m): 10:08am On Sep 03, 2009
@ mypeace
I wonder why you are laying so much emphasis on suits and that first impression matters ,
the truth is the interviewer can almost tell if you borrowed the suit for the interview because in most cases, it is a misfit
secondly, people tend to wear very expensive suits and overdress for interviews which is also puts off the interviewer

what I can say is that , determine the occasion and dress properly for it , be neatly dressed ,
if you don't have a suit, don't borrow , .the interviewer will understand , as long as you are neatly dressed, what matters most to the interview is your ability to perform based on the answers to the questions ,
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Interview And Suit Wahala by rickie4us(m): 8:12am On Sep 03, 2009
I really feel it depends on the type of company you are being interviewed in.
In the first place, dressing well and not being overdressed is what matters most ,
Many times, people borrow suits or wear very expensive ones to impress , this sometimes works against the person because he is being perceived as a 'misfit'

well, I don't know what you were expecting when you got here ,
From what I can observe, you are not quite satisfied with the comments of the guys ,
well, the truth is , no one is going to spend on a girl except they 'treasure' her
in the first place, are you making yourself 'treasurable'?
remember, what you get is what you deserve , the way you will be treated is exactly the treatment that you deserve ,

gone are the days of wooing , women have been claiming equal rights et al and some are even earning more than the guys ,
the simple truth is , the economy is not buoyant enough for all that spoiling , but of course, you can get some from pot bellied men

MOST PEOPLE ARE SAYING MAY HER SOUL REST IN PERFECT PEACE ,
is that a prayer or a wish?
what I know is that you can't pray for the dead or change the place the dead has gone , either to eternal rest or eternal destruction ,
the best thing is that , while one is still alive, he should live a life that guarantees eternal rest , whatever prayer after the person is dead is void

@Uju ,  it seems to me you are quite materialistic ,  What do you really want in a man? Money? Wealth? or what? It seems to me you are not ready to start from the scratch with a man and make it to the top ,  you want a ready-made man ,  sorry o ,  e go hard o ,

A Matter Of Punctuation,

An English professor wrote the words,

"Woman without her man is nothing" on the blackboard and directed his students to punctuate it correctly.

The men wrote: "Woman, without her man, is nothing."

The women wrote: "Woman! Without her, man is nothing."
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Battled Police In China by rickie4us(m): 10:18am On Sep 01, 2009
It is unfortunate that things are happening this way , I don't really think it is better out there , even, many Nigerians living in the UK want to desperately come back home. The cost of living is so high there that they can hardly save anything and that is why some people get stuck there and can't get back home after ten years of probably doing "security jobs"
The Nigerian government too can retaliate in style by giving the ILLEGAL CHINESE IMMIGRANTS here the same treatment , I don't see any good they are doing in Nigeria anyway except to flood the Nigerian market with their substandard products

You guys shouldnt jump into conclusion without proper investigation, is it yahoo yahoo boys or bank insiders looking for money to recover bad loans given to the rich , accordingly his ATM was not missing, i find it difficult to believe that someone can stand behind me and steal info from me when I m no dummy, i wont even approach an ATM if anyone is there! If it is yahoo yahoo why hasnt the bank investigating it??, After all they have details of ATMs where these monies are witdrawn, why havent the banks collected such and shared the details with the police or Efcc so that can plant a mole at such hot spotshuh I have said it and I m still saying it, shakara will run ATM users pennyless, revert back to the way our parent did it with paper cheques and witdraw slip and sleep with rest of mind, shikena

@dinggle:
Well, whether you believe it or not, it does not change the fact that there are yahoo yahoo boys out there who clone ATM cards , You are saying they have details of ATMs where these monies are withdrawn, and asking why the banks haven't collected such and shared the details with the police or EFCC and plant a mole at such hot spots? I want to make it clear here that there are no hot spots considering the fact that we have thousands of ATMs in the country. In fact, there is this case of a man whose ATM details were got and cloned and the monies were withdrawn with an ATM in Enugu while the man was in Lagos. We just have to be careful , and don't be fooled , anyone, including your brother/sister/close friend who has access to your ATM card can give out your information , If he does not know your PIN already, he may look for a way to steal it ,

@all
The fact remains that we all have to be careful not to lose our hard earned money ,
also, beware of fraudulent websites that asks for funny details , the banks will never ask you for your atm card details and pin number in any website ,

Well, I am a Nigerian and I should be patriotic but the truth is that I have removed my mind from the world cup. It will take a big miracle to get there ,
Look at the under 17, they brought 'BROS' to train and play for the tournament and most of them failed the MRI test. Let's see ,
I don't mind a national team that would be built from the cradle , let's be real and let the real ages of the players come out , it does not matter if we don't win any tournament in the next few years, but let us build our teams from the scratch again ,
I am sure that if someone starts his professional career for the country at age 17, he can play till he is 35 or even 40 before he retires ,

BusinessRe: Please Everyone: Help! N174,800 Was Withdrawn From My UBA Account by rickie4us(m): 6:53pm On Aug 29, 2009
well, Nigerians are very innovative people. I learnt that there are some people whose jobs now is to look for the number of the ATM Card and expiry date.
One strategy they use is that , they queue up behind u when you are trying to withdraw money with your ATM Card. They try to spy the last few digits of your card and the expiry so that they can clone another one. Also, if you are unlucky, they get to know your PIN no since it is just 4 digits by watching the sequence of the numbers you press on the ATM. So, my advice is that you should never allow anyone see your card, the number and the expiration date, especially your PIN. It is really easy to clone ATM Cards.
My advice also goes to the guys that want to impress their girlfriends by giving them their ATM cards to make withdrawals. They may have some of these yahoo yahoo boys as friends and give them your card details and PIN no and your money will just disappear. So, the bank is not to blame in many of these cases.
Thirdly, there has been some phony sites coming up especially fake MTN websites. These fraudsters send you a text message saying that you have won 1million naira and that you should enter some details in their website. Of course, the text message is sent in such a way that you will believe it is from MTN since they will use the MTN ID to send you the text message. I have received such phony text messages and of course, I knew they were fake. They directed me to yellofifa.com , The site opened and it was very similar to the regular mtnonline.com , what was different about it was that when you click on any link, it takes you back to the home page.
Well, they asked me for some details like the winning code that was sent to me and my phone number. I put in those and they said congratulations, my number is confirmed. They also asked me for more details like my bank account so that they can pay money in. I gave them fake names and fake bank account and then, I was taken to another page again for another verification of my ATM card , they need my ATM no, expiry date and pin to confirm that I am real and not a fraudulent person who wants to steal another person's money ,
Anybody here in nairaland who has had a similar experience? , waiting for your response all ,
PoliticsRe: Kidnappings: How Safe Are Nigerians? by rickie4us(m): 6:53pm On Aug 28, 2009
one of the best experiences ever relayed of a "KIDNAPPEE" PETE EDOCHIE was that his stomach was always lubricated and he did not feel the grave situation he was in ,

I guess a way to stay safe or feel safe for that matter is to always carry "LUBRICANTS" around in case one is kidnapped since no one is safe.

On another light note, a friend of mine in Canada asked me for the some of the lucrative businesses in Nigeria and I told him that kidnapping is one of them, that if we invest a little amount into arms, and train a few boys, the money should be rolling in fast ,

Honestly, I feel bad about the kidnap situation.  It is just another avenue for many jobless people to make fast money, which is the trend now ,
SportsRe: Do You Believe Juju Exists in Football? by rickie4us(m): 6:32pm On Aug 28, 2009
Hey all, I think JUJU exists for real in football. , why do you think that India does not partake? It has been said that in the past, when India participated in football, when a player faces the keeper with a ball, it appears to the keeper in form of a lion or a dozen ball and he does not know which one to go for , and then the score line could be many dozen goals ,
But then, JUJU cannot take the place of skills ,
