I work in a commercial bank as a full-time employee. My gf used to live here in Ib where I live too. She has recently been posted to Lagos State for her Youth Service. This is one of the biggest embarrassment in my life, I was sleeping on my own this morning when my phone rang. A very close friend of mine called to inform me if am free, that I should escort him to a wedding uptown at a popular event center. I wasn't really interested but I had to, because he had accompanied me to several occasions in the past, turning him down will look some how.

He came around some minutes after 1 and we set out with another friend of mine that just came to visit me normal freestyle movement. On getting there to my surprise we were denied entry. The bouncers and event securities at the gate said attending was strictly on invite. I told my friend show them your invitation card, he started doing as if he wants to make call.

It was then I found out that he wasn't even the guest that was invited to the wedding, so the groom and the bride don't even know him, he was invited by another friend of his that was who he was trying to call. He finally reached him, the dude came and started looking at the 3 of us standing close to the gate like we were full community who came for our entitlement.

He went back in maybe trying to pull some few strings from people that matters, close to over 10 minutes, I was already angry..I touched my friend who accompanied me (the one who came for visiting) and we boarded a bike back home.
Money I wasted for transportation, I paid our going and coming back, this has taught me a bitter lesson today.
Never will I make such mistake again.

Facts be told. I can save up for flights once in a month. No job is that tedious to take you away from you family except you don't want to see them. Taking flight to see you family for the weekend or just only on Sunday isn't a bad idea.
