The percentage quoted by you is even the northern part of Adamawa and not Adamawa as a whole state.

Terrorism in Nigeria is a religion sentiment since 2002 when the group was founded. They are aiming at having a “pure” Islamic state ruled by sharia law. Islamic state and sharia law has to do with islam and not Christianity.
