I think he has left your PDP peaceful for you or is his destiny attached there, did he ever said that he is regretting it and I bet you don't know or have forgotten he was also a member of PDP before they also acted same thing they are doing now in Anambra that made him left and join APGA and won. Of what use is your political advise to a two time governor who also won with an unpopular party APGA in Anambra which is a PDP stronghold Just like he is doing in LP but you are in bitterness telling him how to make decisions about his political career. Why don't you go and take the VP slot for PDP and help them win I thought you guys said he is Twitter and nairaland president, so why the headache over someone who you find irrelevant and what good effect will he bring for PDP presidency? Politics › Re: I Am Not Voting Obi Again If Wike Is Vice President by Risentouch(m): 2:02pm On Jun 09, 2022 |
FreedomDynamics: what I was saying is Osinbajo is Osinbajo while Wike is Wike. Osinbajo was placed there by Tinubu who happens to be the influence...keyword is what? "Influence".
Now let's say Wike becomes VP, Wike comes as THE "influence" because he is influential and consequential to Atiku becoming President. He can address powerful politicians and they will listen, unlike Osinbajo who was merely picked and functions as a 'place-holder' for Tinubu.
By this, you can already see what kind of VP Wike is going to be. Let's just face the reality. The VP has no say without the consent of the president. Wike used the power that Patience Jonathan gave her to scatter Amaechi based and continued that form based on the power of incumbency. Rivers is not Abuja. Like I told you before, if wike was a deputy governor he won't make any noise because if he does impeachment follows suite. Besides we are talking of national politics here and who gives vp power to sack appointed officials without the president's consent or perhaps if he handed over to him when he goes out of the country. The only advantage of wike here is the amount of votes he will pull for him. |

Politics › Re: I Am Not Voting Obi Again If Wike Is Vice President by Risentouch(m): 10:21am On Jun 09, 2022 |
FreedomDynamics: Yes! My first calculation was to vote Obi even though I know he is not going to win as a form of protest and also washing my hands off Naija politics matter and have my conscience clear that l was not responsible for bringing in a rogue into Aso Rock.
On the emergence of Tinubu as APCs flag bearer and the antecedence of the APC, I realize a critical situation is reached and a crucial and objective decision needs to be made. We have a situation where Obi will weaken the PDP and still not win. He will not win because he is only popular amongst educated and upward thinking people who are not a quarter of the rest of the masses up north and even the south in population and a vote for Obi is only a 'statement vote'. It's important in the scheme of things but then catastrophic for the Opportunity Cost of having an APC president who fields an El Rufai for instance. This is the crux of the matter, its Tinubu or Atiku and Obi will make one win directly or indirectly.
My grouse with Atiku is not himself per se because I feel he had been labeled a thief and perceived negatively for a long time which had been his bane in becoming the president and I feel he will like to prove a lot of people wrong. It's the thieves that will follow him to Aso Rock. I feel an iron hand is needed at Aso Rock. Someone who can fire a minister on the spot, order a proper procurement process and such. No soft hand can handle Nigeria and Nigerians only someone who is stubborn and resolute!
That's where Wike comes in. Wike's strength is fearlessness, project execution, tenacity and even integrity, yes, integrity. If you studied the extent of what the Salafists, Fulani bandits, Buhari and his cabal and so on have gone into the marrow of the country, a Wike is the best man for the job. There is something about body language and persona. With his no-nonsense carriage, you want to ask who will send shivers down the spine of these guys and even the Service Chiefs, Wike or Obi? Wike had demonstrated he can take up a General if found wanting.
This is beyond sentiment and emotions. You only need Obi where the system works. With the collapsed systems and institutions we have in Nigeria coupled with gross corruption and indiscipline, I do not want to believe you want to send in someone with a soft voice holding carrots. Obasanjo even recommended a mad man. Sitting down, Obasanjo saw what our Twitter friends couldn't see from a tree top, and to hell with Wike's sins for I cannot find the perfect politician even in Obi. Obi's perfection is even his bane so long as it is Nigeria he is given as homework.
If you have a logical view, feel free to state yours based on my analysis of the matter before us all. I am not responding to emotional, tribal or religious outbursts, only logic. So be guided please. Our Elders, over to you.
Sincerely, FreedomDynamics This was same reason we put Buhari there 2015 as an experienced man in the military to handle the insecurities but the reverse became the case. Besides VP has no strong influence, even a state governor has more influence than a VP, if Wike was a deputy governor nobody will hear his name and if tries to show his head they will press it down, Let's just tell ourselves the truth. If voting Obi is a waste of vote, I rather do that and have my conscience at rest than bringing another disaster. |

Frigga13: Nobody betray southeast..
It was an open contest..
Obi left the party entirely.. not withdrawing from the contest.. which would have guaranteed him the Vice President.. then a National appeal and sentiments to give a southeast chance at presidency would have been so meaningful even to the Naysayers and enemies of southeast..
But he left .. just left .. selfishly.. not thinking about the igbos that have been there all this while and their fate .. people that have invested just for his personality and political calculations..
Going to Labour.. a party that has no structure even in his hometown.. then he’s fans now want igbos to follow him to political oblivion in Nigeria and be singing Biafra or dead if they lose which everyone of them know ..
Don’t blame Pdp and don’t blame any human.. blame igbos for their waka ..
The south south will vote Pdp and might get a vice before igbos will smell the President or their IPOB Biafra
Power to the people! North 2023 You don't get the point. They claim presidency is their right this time around and not vice remember they have invested heavily in the PDP even 2015 and other years some people shifted grounds though some came back and some never did. They have always always made sure the give PDP at least 70% of their votes. Them asking for presidency is it wrong to demand and besides the SS you are talking about has had presidency and which SE voted massively in support like the candidate was their own. |
Politics › Re: I Am Beginning To Get Sceptical For The Push For Southern President By The North by Risentouch(m): 12:25pm On Jun 05, 2022 |
Kenmatt: Greetings to you all.
I am actually get nervous by the trending news we are all getting, how eleven Northern Governors and their remaining counterparts from the same North are supporting Southern President as we have all seen the President, in the person of Muhammad Buhari has geared towards sticking to the "Gentleman's agreement" of 2015; returning Power to the South.
Why am I really not comfortable with this really?
Any of the Politicians who emerges as APC Flag bearer to contest the 2023 election among these three men, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Proff. Yemi Osibanj and Rt Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amechi, as these are the top guns in the race. Will definitely share the votes with Mr. Peter Obi of Labour Party.
Yes, Obi is creating faction/Camp in the entire South, which East is inclusive. The bitter truth remains that Mr Obi, whom I love so much, can not win this election via Labour Party and the North know this.
This is the core reason it seems as if they are in support for Southern President, which will paved way for Atiku of PDP to cling to Power in relation to the massive votes he will get from the entire North unopposed.
There by coming down to the South to pick a running mate which is cancerous to the hope and aspirations of the South/East to chill at the exalted seat in As Rock through the Platform of APC or LP.
What is my verdict?
We need one voice. we need one vote.
Obi should step down let's move this notion forward. Step down for who exactly? |
Politics › Pdp Betrayal by Risentouch(op): 12:19pm On Jun 05, 2022 |
SE invested and served PDP heavily since 1999 till date and have been voting any candidate presented to them by PDP irrespective of tribe or religion even when their son Ojukwu contested under APGA. Now they requested for one simple thing; compensate us with presidency but PDP said no. That it is for the highest bidder and as it stands now they lost it
SW invested in APC in 2015 and as a payback they are requesting for presidency come 2023 under their flag. With the recent news trending about nothern governors pushing presidency to South which will likely favor the SW and if that happens.
What remains the faith of SE in PDP?
Does it mean they are born to be a slave for PDP?
If they feel rejected or betrayed how will they show their grievance or will they let it go?
Will they go the labour party way? |
