This type of slab is what is technically known as Ripped Slab or Waffle Slab..

The are used when there is large span of supporting edge beams...

the singly reinforced in one direction is called the ripped... while the doubly reinforced is called the waffle..

They are very good for very tall structure when you trying to reduce the self weight of concrete..

The marble place on Akala by Ahleri hotel gave me I think N13,500 for four pieces of 60”x60”.

That’s 1.44sqm for 13500 , cheaper than some tiles

CDk should be up to 6,000 per sqm now and marble should be about 8500 to 9,000 per sqm.

Thought marble was higher than that

Considered granite . Cdk I chose was close to 6500, most are 5500 to 6000

So many options / designs . I think they have a reputation in the market for quality . This was confirmed by the guy I buy Spanish tiles from and a major importer . Prices were steep for the high traffic tiles We wanted , a bit more expensive than the equivalent vitrified full body royal tiles I was also considering

They Also do sanitary wares

Here’s a way I avoid confusion. Because I can easily visualize what the finished outcome of my projects will look like, I always work with tiles catalogues/3D rendition of my projects and go for matching tiles or something close in the market.

I try to avoid confusion by deferring to my architect or madam . Took both along , eventually zeroed in on 2 tiles

But Want to see what options are also available in the imported segment before I decide hence my soon proposed visit to orile / importers , price differential of the cdk I like to imported Spanish is not much
Might also be buying for 2 projects so it pays to check as many options quickly before buying

Absolutely , what anybody doing a project should be doing . Spoke with a sales person of cdk today , tiles are going up soon . Should visit the factory with my architect and conclude purchase next week . One less issue to worry about

Oga mi below is the sample of grid switch recently installed for a client in Lekki, We introduce it to him and he love it. We have all the sockets, Cooker control unit, cooker hood, AC and water heater connected to the grid switch, all the appliances have a central switching. Each knob have different rating from 10A, 20A and 45A

10A is controlling the lighting
20A controlling the AC, Water heater, Socket
45A for cooker unit.

Your kitchen equipment will determine the number of ways to be installed

The reason why we have 12 ways installed for this client is because:

1 knob for Light
5nos. of 13A socket connected
1no AC connected
1no Water heater connected
1no cooker unit connected
1no cooker hood connected

Total appliance connected is 10
The remaining 2 knob serves as spares

I started with fire retardant paint production through partner with foreign companies and they gave me the necessary technical support.
I had formulation for different types of paints and when intercolor was among the very few supplying basecoat which they import then, I was already producing and supplying basecoat.
I met and discussed with some well known paint brands to partner but it didn't work out and when the demand for the fire retardant paint was low, I switched to regular paint since the materials are mostly the same without the active components.
I got some former workers from paint companies to help produce with my formulations and tried local sourcing of materials.
When I started producing satin paint over a decade ago, most of the budget range paint companies don't produce them. Only the big brands and agents importing the american brands. That was how I got to have my satin and eggshell substituted and later replaced with the foreign products by a marketer of the company importing them to her network base.
I produced for N2500 per gallon she later convinced her clients her brand is equally as good at slightly lower price and they have been using it for sometime already. A gallon of behr, benjamin Moore and ralp Lauren they sell was N8000 per gallon then.
I think I could say I was foreign trained and my biochemistry background helped to some extent.
I could still formulate paints with uncommon features in Nigeria market.
I bet you don't get to see wax based water repellant paint in the market.

In other news, in a bid to give premium finish to houses, I've invested in tools as advised severally for business owners by our erudite contributors here.
We can apply primer to smoothen a plaster surface with electric paint spraying machine.
We have electric wall sanders to give smooth finish and we apply premium emulsion, matte and satin with spraying machines to give a very smooth finish that only spraying could give.

I have been reading mostly good things about you and your paint , will consider you for a project still under construction . Using Dulux for a current job , wont say I have been wowed yet , maybe when completed and the paint job last for 7 years I will reconsider
