EgunMogaji2: I sold at N485 this week.
My advice is for folks to tie money down into products and property. I immediately reinvest in lands as soon as I sell one. Absolutely, kwarect , using my skills and experience honed over 20 years as a manufacturer , Not one devaluation has caught me napping over the last 14 years, Was that cash or transfer ? |

gbadexy: I didn't believe it could ever get this high. I wanted to buy materials in bulk around December but felt companies would resume by january and materials would be available again hence driving down price. Major binder acrylic that was sold for N470 is sold for N1400 per kg as at now. Major pigment used in nearly all colours, titanium dioxide is solid 2 times the cost it was as at October last year, plastic container is twice the initial price with some change to spare, materials for oil based gloss is over 3 times the initial cost and they keep rising weekly! It's like living in a nightmare that refuses to end. Those that hesitated when the price just started rising would have to pay more or wait and hope it comes down which won't be anytime soon nor to the old initial price. I used to know the finance ministers due to their activities and updates of their activities but now I don't even know who is in charge. Even if I read about her now, I would forget in hours. Folks should brace up and strive to get whatever needs doing done if capable. God forbids but na so Zimbabwe economy reach where it is gradually with great descent and no apparent reasonable attempt to stem the tide. Once you have an overview of what happens locally and internationally you can predict most price increases . People must be proactive in times like this , if you have funds and have a future project , tie it down in materials obviously you can’t do this for all inputs Started the construction of a project 1 March last year , bought most of the copper wires, iron rod , generators , transformer that same month . Project should be commissioned this may hopefully , you can imagine the savings Have a proposed 3rd project am working on , no drawing no approval nothing yet o , just concept discussion, when I was buying iron rod to complete my second build asked the builder to give me a rough estimate for that also ,placed order for both 2 weeks ago , in the middle of supply prices changed I Just smiled For that 3rd project I have placed order for generators last week , the supplier outside the country said prices will go up 1st April due to increase in copper prices etc, am sure i will buy transformer this month god willing Delay is dangerous in Nigeria , add devaluation fears , inflation , port congestion , reduced importation , all causing scarcity and increased in prices . transfer is 497/8 to 1$ Now |

michlins: If you have the funds, secure your iron today now. It's about to go down in China. As expected, when the prices increase in China coupled with our exchange rate and expected rise in cost of transport as a result of increase in cost of petrol.
E go shock everyone. A sheet of checkered plate door is 33,000 right now if you see it Spot on , not just iron , most commodities prices have risen over the last 6 months especially in the last 3 months , copper , aluminum etc , expect price of aluminum roofing and copper wire to rise further Can’t begin to tell you the savings I make by buying things way in advance when I have a project , mind blowing |

I liquidated my small Tbills, then split in 2, put one part in d 7 year sukuku bond and d other in the stock market. Zenith has appreciated with more than 38% since I bought it. Though, I am in d market presently as I believe there is still room for growth. Don’t see why you are too upset , you have hedged some or most of your funds ,you should count yourself lucky , what of those that dint change any , Just learn from this and know how to be better with the next crisis For me apart from the hedging I did in $ and inputs much earlier in the year , I did a lot of plays in the stock market when it crashed March ending , just existed over the last 2 weeks with 35 to 55 % gain , beaten devaluation with those funds also ,also doing some plays in commercial properties . Wont indicate amounts involved in my plays , realized not many people can handle figures here . it’s not compulsory we all partake in economic downturn, recession or devaluation With proper planning . We learn everyday |

BrabusNG: I can understand especially with the quantity of cement you’ll need on both. You’ll have to push ring road though because of the formwork sir.
2700 is a good deal.
My contact too will do 2700 (Elephant Cement) to Ibadan but offloading will be paid for separately.
15 - 30 naira per bag depending on how close the store is to the truck.
_____ BrabusNG is n3xt Exactly . because of the marine board , actually told the engineer to go ahead if they could get 300/400 thru his own source on Saturday to do the casting over the weekend , no luck Positive they will get supply tomorrow or next |

n3xt: That’s the situation right now. We were lucky to get the 200 bags.
Experience has shown me that it’s always better to buy in bulk. It’s safer and cheaper in the long run if you want to avoid cost overrun.
I had to invest in a mobile storage for this cos the cost of building storage facility aren’t cheap too Not been on this thread for sometime , how u dey Sadly realized cement prices were up on Friday just as we wanted to cast Holding up both my projects esp ring road , hopeful of delivery of 900/1200 bags tomorrow at 2700 |

If the state governor get it right, why might kuku leave the overpriced Lagos lots to go and buy better lands that requires less to build in Ibadan. Any shareholder of Law Union in the house? Please appoint me as proxy so that i can participate in this court ordered meeting. There are a few pertinent questions for law Union Board and management.
The purchase consideration per share of N1.23 is at a 28% discount to BVPS of N1.71 as at Half year 2020. Verod Capital and management/board are are leveraging on depressed prices of insurance stocks over the past few years make that purchase consideration look attractive. For 100% sale as an invetor i will be looking for premium on higher of market price or book value per share (whichever is higher)......and this is one of the better managed insurance companies.
Retail shareholders getting s*rewed as usual by the institutional ones. Alternative Capital, Swanlux Solutions etc. una try o. Shareholders have to leverage on Resolution D to get them to increase the consideration. But it will be a tough call as the institutional investors control close to 80% of voting rights. I could appoint you Have a few million forgotten shares there Received a call about a month or so ago from someone there reminding me about an offer for purchase or something Been thinking of what to do since the call , what happens if I refuse to sell |
