I don miss una. Night vigil wan finish me. I put to bed last month, I can't believe my period has resumed. It wasn't so with my last 2, for my last 2 it took 1 year before it started. Na wa o.
God be with you all every step.

Please if i may ask, during the time of no show. Can a woman get pregnant during this period? My DW has not seen it after delivery in May and she told me not to use condom that she can't get pregnant and i'm not withdrawing ooo... She also scared of FP saying it doesn't work for everybody and not good for mother that have intention to give birth more or something.

How una dey, Congrats to mamas who had delivered and wish safe delivery to other waddling mama.

Please I want to ask a question on postpartum, being a FTM we noticed that the parts where she had the C-section looks relatively hard when you pull the chunk of flesh and she doesn't feel like the flesh area is part of her body.

She has showed the doctor and she was given a drug. But we seems worried if this is normal for those who had experienced the CS.

Good evening everyone, congratulations to our latest moms .,.I'm a little bit concerned with the way my babies are fast growing, 3weeks ago the male weighed .9+ while the female weighed 1.1+ now they weigh 1.5 n 1 .8 respectively at 31 weeks. Both are cephalic. Athough I have 5-6 weeks left because it's going to be an elective CS. I hope their weight won't end up being so big at the rate they grow

I think 1.5kg and 1.8kg is okay for a twins at 31weeks. Most surgeons would prefer they're above 2.5kg at 36weeks before taking their delivery unless if not emergency.

In breastfeeding, my wife use majorly formula (SMA Gold) and breastfeeding intermittently. She complained she can't do exclusive on both of them. Please is this practice in order.

My wife and I can't thank God enough because of the wonderful things HE has done for us and yet to do in our family.

We got married on August 15, 2020 and by ending of August she was feeling feverish and ill. She visited hospital and was treated for malaria, Ulcer and infection not knowing she was pregnant. After the treatment, I advised her to take pregnancy test. Lo and behold, it was strong positive. Tho, we've both been on vitamin E like a month before our wedding.

The journey of pregnancy started o, from MS, hot temp, headache etc, being a FTP it wasn't easy. At 12weeks, we started ANC and the first Scan was done. As the sonographer was checking, he said wait o it's like the foetus are two. I was so happy but my wife wasn't. She has always been running away from twins because of the stress.

At 20 weeks, we went for another scan, it was then we were told that our baby are Mono Mono twins (Monoamniotic-Monochorionic twins) i.e they share one placenta and one sac, a rare identical twins pregnancy that happened to 1 to 60,000 twins pregnancy. We were scared especially when we read about the complications of this kind of twins such as cord entanglement and compression, TTTS etc.

To God be the Glory, any of such complications was never our portion, my wife was so super active till the date of delivery that I'll beg her to calm down. She prepares food like Amala for me from day 1 till she gave birth. She'll not allow her sister to do it.

Being an inquisitive person, I read books, articles, Nairaland, followed her to ANC appointments and bought 70% of our babies list. Madam Zanie can testify to that lol.

The birth, as the Gynae told us from day one that the delivery will be CS at 36weeks based on the hospital policy for this kind of twins pregnancy. We planned the elective CS for April 30 (Friday) being her birthday and she'll be 36weeks 5days by then but when we visited the hospital on Wednesday April 28, the doc said that a week will be added since the baby are low weight 2.2kg each that they should gain additional weight.

That's how my wife started taking Cakes, Milo, Junks and eating like her life depends on it in actipation for the additional one week May 8 but as God we have it, on night of April 30 she started feeling this slight unusual pain after eating lots of birthday cake lol, in the morning of May 1, I was suppose to travel. I asked her if I should take her to hospital since the pain was still there. She said nope that she'll be okay that I can do the travelling.

I returned from my trip by past 4pm, I saw her moody. I asked if the pain was still there. She said yes. I immediately took her to the hospital. On getting there by past 5pm, we were told she's already in Labour Ahhh!. I was told to go and bring her bag and other items as the surgeon has scheduled 7:30pm for her.

To God be the glory, the delivery session started at 8:30pm. By 8:45pm I heard the cry of Baby 1 and baby 2 by 8:55pm weighing 2.45kg and 2.44kg respectively.

We return all the Glory for what God has done for us. It can only be HIM alone. What God cannot do does not exist. We also want to thank all the sabi mamas in the house for your timeline responses to our enquiries and the information received on this forum.

We wish all ttc, waddling mamas and us that had birthed our LOs all the best and May God answer our prayers and give us the financial, physical and spiritual enabling to support them. Amen.

About the scan might not show the actual weight, two things are involved, twins weight are less or can weigh more than what the scan result is showing, imagine eating junks and adding to that current weight..
Maybe wifey should consider eating healthy meals that can help with baby's weight and overall development .am not a fan of junk eating during last trimester , baby can come up weighing more than 4kg

I had a membrane sweep on that Wednesday, and I had been feeling contractions but they were irregular. I managed till Thursday night when my mom called and I described how I was feeling to her ( back to stomach contractions) she asked us to go the hospital, that was around 9pm o...
I was checked and I was only 2cm dilated but my cervix was soft. the doctor then gave me medication for the pain and asked me to rest. I was jejely sleeping on my own o with slight contractions when I just felt a pop ( infact, I heard it). it was hot and plenty. At around 3am, the nurse then took me to the labour room, checked me, I was 6cm, she was surprised.. I started growling and begging for medication, I was in so much pain and agony. the contractions came and kept coming. nurse said she would check me by 6am. 3 hours felt like forever. by 5:10am, I started having the urge to push, she asked me not to that I could tear my cervix, I tried but it was so hard not to push. at 5:35 twin A came, his brother came 10 minutes after. vaginal delivery. may God take control of our births

Congrats madam once again.

1.99kg and 2.12kg wow.. we did scan during the week at 36weeks 3days. The LOs weigh 2.22kg and 2.23kg. But the doc said the weight are too low. He said they need to add more weight that the scan result might not be the actual weight at birth. Hence, they'll put them in the incubator.

Wifey has been eating junks and drinking milo o.... But contraction from this nipple cleaning no be here o.

@Cappo, can the nipple cleaning cause contraction? Pls what's the frequency of cleaning the nipple.

Use cotton wool and olive oil to clean the nipples. One of the benefits is to open the pores of the nipples for easy lactation and to also clean dirt.

In other news, I don't know what they call this tape rule measurement they usually do at every antenatal clinic, The thing measured 37 weeks on Tuesday as against 35 weeks, sabi mamas how accurate is this tape rule measurement?

Wait o... Is this tape rule use to determine EDD? I followed my wife for ANC only for me to see the Doc measuring her stomach with tape rule.

I quickyl bought the tape rule and started using it to measure her belle every weekend... I thought its just for bumps measurement ni o

Hello mamas, congrats to mamas that have successfully delivered and wish the incoming belleful mamas safe delivery.

Please my DW is currently in her 33weeks and 4days but this week she has been seeing this whitish mucus and it was kinda much today.

What's that mucus about sef? Is it that its preparing her for delivery? She's carrying twins and the doc said she had 3weeks left as 36weeks is the max for delivery for twins.

I was given anti malaria drug today at ante natal clinic. I was instructed not to take it together with my daily supplements but to start taking my supplements 2 days after taking the anti malaria drug.
