No power change at the end of the day. Let's see how things play out. The supreme court has the final say here. |

fergie001: I have told you that unless it is proven that the SSS person was not a Staff, the conflict will put doubts on the forgery claim.
If NYSC had already authenticated Lawrence, why did the DSS still come to same tribunal. The DSS affirmed there was alteration but it was done by the NYSC.
The issue of forgery must be unanimous, total, leaving no trace of doubts. Like they say in criminal law, it is better to free an accused, than convict an innocent.
The issuing authority cannot be the only authority, the Constitution also empowers the Police in Sections 214 & 215 and Section 4 of the Police Act 2020 to investigate criminal allegations which also involves forgery.
The DSS are also empowered by law to investigate crime, forgery etc.
Moreover, NYSC is not a qualification criteria. A thorough reflection of Agi v. PDP will provide some insight.
Don't get me wrong, the Issuing Institution to authenticate is valid but their testimony must not be controverted. He has failed to realised this. |

garfield1: You are making a mistake.akan okon took umo Eno to court before he submitted his waec to inec so there was no cause of action as it was prematurely instituted.besides,he failed to prove his case by calling waec to testify. On the other hand, obong Albert of ypp timely went to the tribunal and waec and uniuyo testified against him.can you spot the difference? It is a matter of evidence and time Let's wait and see. |

garfield1: Umo Eno is not adeleke.in adeleke no institution testified against adeleke but in umo Eno,waec and uniuyo testified against him but he has a chance of escaping unlike mba.there are reports that he has induced Femi through hon onofiok luke and wants to meet with akpabio. Mbah is going, the DSS report is not tenable.it is laughable that you are even bringing DSS report when it is an nysc certificate.the officer who tendered it did so illegally in any case.only technicality can save him Umo Eno can't be removed. Can tribunal overrule the supreme court? No. The allegations have been cleared by the supreme court. |
Politics › Re: Tribunal Dismisses Matawalle’s Petition, Affirms Lawal As Zamfara Governor by rolams(m): 6:03pm On Sep 19, 2023 |
fergie001: You are right about Umo Eno. It stands on all fours with the Adeleke case where the Appeal Court had okayed his results only for the majority judgement to go the opposite direction. The higher Court rebuked that judgement.
For Mbah, there is already conflicting reports. The DSS is insisting that the report is genuine. The case of forgery must be foolproof.
Can forgery be proven when two conflicting agencies are at it? Is NYSC a compulsory document to contest the Office of the President? NO. The higher Courts look likely to free him, though the tribunalay go against him. The bolded part is where I am looking at. Again, Edoga has not substantiated that he scored the highest vote. |
Politics › Re: Tribunal Dismisses Matawalle’s Petition, Affirms Lawal As Zamfara Governor by rolams(m): 4:18pm On Sep 19, 2023 |
I think Governor Umo Eno and Peter Mbah will retain their mandates too.
Reason:
Umo Eno has gotten a judgement from the supreme court that backs his certificate. Therefore, the tribunal can't overrule the supreme court judgement.
Peter Mbah was able to tender tendere NYSC letters of redeployment, deferment and reinstatement letter to continue his NYSC programme after completing his part two in Law School. The Labour party, Edoga focused much on the certificate rather than the result. The tribunal may rule that it's a pre election matter. Again, the victory of Mbah against the APC and other candidates may also have positive effect here.

KnowAll: Then your currency crashes with it now. That's why it can't work. Currency is often backed by scarce resources with less deflation risk. Your currency can't be stabilised through over dependent on importation. Focus more on finished goods you can export and produce nearly all essential goods for consumption locally and see how things turn around. |

KnowAll: I have strong feelings between Cardozo & Wale Edu the policy highlighted here may come to fusion where our currency would be backed by a drum of crude oil using modular refinery as the template.
Come watch the Naira shore up like an Eagle on cruise control. Na lie, some fortunes are tied to dollar too. |
Politics › Re: Currency Can Be Strengthened By Tying Into A Commodity??? by rolams(m): 3:32am On Sep 16, 2023 |
KnowAll: Oil price is $80.00 per barrel.
You would need 80 units of American money to buy a barrel of oil.
So to strengthen your currency u refine your crude and put them in a massive storage where it would be sold to whoever needs it. The price is common knowledge worldwide.
Now you can now devalue your currency by 4. That is 4/80 = 20
At present we need 80 American units to buy a barrel but once we devalue our currency by 4 it simply means one unit of our currency would be 4 American dollars.
Sikena problem solved. Then, what happens if the price crashes? |

How can Tinubu continue on the same nepotistic leadership style of Buhari and Yorubas are clapping for him that all is well?
CBN Governor Yoruba Chief of Army Staff Yoruba Customs Boss Yoruba Prisons Boss Yoruba Chief of Staff Yoruba FIRS Boss Yoruba NIMC Boss Yoruba Police IG Yoruba Etc Etc Etc
This is gradual destruction of Nigeria's diversity and rubbishing of federal character At least nobody arrested Buhari when he was doing it. Igbo will become president and do the same thing. |

Ebus12: I endured it in 2019, when I was beaten in Nsukka. Endured again in 2021, when these same people wiped me two powerful ones on the back, when coming from school.
Today again, I have chested another one for the culture. But I swear by the filaments and the skies, the next these wicked idiots hiding under the cloak of a masquerade attire will lash me again, I will definitely retaliate.I swear.
Both the person hiding inside the cloak, the idiots following him or her around, and the gods they are representing, will feel the heat, that day. I swear and I swear. Heh God! That fool inside that masquerade gown should thank his stars that I was held by some people yesterday evening, I would have shown the world a side of me that I have hiding for too long now.
You should come and see the intensity this guy used to wipe me that raffian stick this evening. Yes, I know I have been owing lots of people lately, but for goodness' sake, why not come directly and ask for your money. Be a man, for goodness' sake. Must I be flogged?
Ask for your money, you coward. The highest I will do is refuse to pay you, or maybe threaten you on top. Come like a man and ask for your money Must I be flogged? Sharpsharp00123: This is just d bitter truth many Nigerians will never want to agree with cos blacks like to lie to themselves a lot
Me n my friends have been stopped many times n I realize the only thing those police officers care about is what u do for a living n a proof of it, once u can present these things they will just tell u to find them something
But u see all those yahoo boys, imagine a small boy driving a Benz with his name on it n he doesn’t have any proof to what he does/did to acquire that, then police will extort him cos he’s into shady things
I just laugh when some people talk about police brutality, don’t let us lie to ourselves everyone knows d criminals among us….enter anywhere be it eatery, mall or anywhere n u will b able to recognize youths that are into shady things
From d lousy wear to useless hairstyles to different piercings n tattoos police identify them easily n once they know they are guilty then they will have to pay
Before u quote me ask yourself if all these things are lies, even my 7 year old neighbor son can point a yahoo boy on d street by observing his dressing alone
We all know d truth but we take delight in lieing to ourselves
Which work is a secondary school boy from a poor home is doing that is making him use a phone of 400k?
Which work is a university drop out with no job doing to suddenly buy Lexus?
Which work is a university student doing to build hostel in his school?
What work is a jobless person doing to suddenly start flaunting flashy things?
People will turn a blind eye n even tag anyone that tries to question them “ jealous “ “envious “ bad belle n co not knowing they are emboldening criminals
In Nigeria we celebrate the thief n insult the police but when our property gets missing we call on d same police we hate I am ashamed of what you wrote here. It would have made a lot of senses BUT the bolded part that reads " THEY WILL JUST TELL YOU TO FIND THEM SOMETHING" took away everything. Why must a police officer tell you to find him something when you are both working as a salary earner? Just think about it? Just tell me why you must find a police officer employed and paid by the government something. Officers in developed countries will never ask you such and if you willingly give, they will tell you they are doing their job! |
